Abstract

ABSTRAK   Pembelajaran IPA merupakan salah satu pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan dengan pendekatan etnosains. Pembelajaran yang memadukan etnosains dan sains ilmiah mampu meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik terhadap konsep-konsep sains ilmiah dan pembelajaran lebih bermakna. Penelitian ini bertujuan merekonstruksi bahan ajar IPA tentang pengetahuan lokal masyarakat tanaman jarak pagar berbasis MER (Model of Educational Reconstruction) dengan terintegrasi materi partikel penyusun benda dan makhluk hidup yang layak. Prosedur pengembangan bahan ajar menggunakan model RnD (Research and Development) dengan 3 tahapan, yaitu Define, Design, dan Develop. Berdasarkan hasil analisis konsepsi peserta didik pada tahap define, sebanyak 62,68% peserta didik tidak paham konsep terhadap materi tersebut, sehingga perlu dimunculkan konteks etnosains dalam bahan ajar agar peserta didik lebih memahami konsep.  Berdasakan hasil validasi para ahli dengan mendapatkan skor 0,895 dan 0,87 dengan kriteria layak dan dapat diuji keefektifannya.   Kata  kunci: MER, Bahan Ajar, Etnosains, Jarak Pagar (Jatropha curcas L)   ABSTRACT   Science learning is one of the lessons that can be used with an ethnoscience approach. Learning that combines ethnoscience and scientific science can increase students’ understanding of science concepts and make learning more meaningful. This study aims to reconstruct natural science teaching materials abiut local knowledge of Jatropha curcas communities based on MER (Model of Educational Reconstruction) with integrated particle material that makes up objects and viable living things .The procedure of developing teaching materials uses the RnD (Research and Development) model with 3 stages, namely define, design, and develop. Based on the results of the analysis of students’ conceptions at the define stage, as many as 62,68% of students don’t understand the concept of the material, so it is necessary to bring up the ethnoscience context in teaching materials so that students better understand the concept. Based on the results of the validation of the experts by getting a score of 0,895 and 0,87 with feasible criteria and can be tested for effectiveness.   Keywords: MER, Teaching Materials, Ethnoscience, Jatropha (Jatropha curcas L)

Abstract

Briquettes represent environmentally sustainable solid fuels that utilize renewable resources. This study aimed to assess the quality of bagasse waste briquettes as an alternative in eco-friendly technology. The experimental method was conducted internally at the PT SUCOFINDO Bengkulu laboratory. Briquettes were produced using varying compositions of bagasse waste: A1 (80 grams charcoal flour and 12 grams tapioca flour), A2 (30 grams charcoal flour and 6 grams tapioca flour), and A3 (20 grams charcoal flour and 5 grams tapioca flour). The production process involved preparation, drying, monitoring, grinding, adhesive mixing, molding, and final drying. Quantitative data analysis focused on key parameters including water content, ash content, and calorific value. Results indicated that the briquettes with 80% charcoal flour and 20% tapioca flour exhibited the highest calorific value at 6155 kcal/kg. It was concluded that all types of bagasse waste briquettes met Indonesian National Standards, demonstrating their potential as an alternative energy source through environmentally friendly briquette technology.

Abstract

Bengkulu University is located in the coastal area precisely in Muara Bangka Hulu sub-district of Bengkulu City, which is one of the sub-districts bordering the coastline. Areas or regions bordering the coastline have a higher level of tsunami hazard compared to areas or regions far from the coastline. The marking of the evacuation point area in the Bengkulu University environment has not adjusted to the disaster mitigation parameters. The purpose of this research is to analyse and map the tsunami hazard class at Bengkulu University in a preventive mitigation effort as well as a consideration for future policies. Primary data measurements used Geodetic GPS devices and were analysed using GAMIT and GLOBK 10.6 software. While secondary data obtained from geospatial information agencies and DEMNAS were analysed using arcgis software. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the environment of Bengkulu University as a whole has 3 classes of hazard zones including high hazard class, medium hazard class, and low hazard class.

Abstract

Learning programmes need to be designed to provide cognitive aspects, especially critical thinking skills with indikators and aspects of spiritual attitudes in the learning process. This study aims to apply the Phenomena Based-Interactive Conceptual Instruction (PB-ICI) lecture model to equip critical thinking skills and instil spiritual values through science learning. This research uses a quasi-experiment. The results showed that the average pre-test score of critical thinking skills was 43.45 in the low category, the average post-test score was 79.48 in the high category and the average N-gain was 0.64 in the medium category. The results of the analysis of the cultivation of spiritual values show that PB-ICI learning can instil spiritual values related to the nature of divinity with an average response score of 88. Thus it is concluded that PB-ICI learning can improve critical thinking, instil spiritual values and get a very good response after PB-ICI learning implementation activities.

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi sains siswa kelas VIII SMPN 9 Kota Bengkulu pada materi isu pencemaran lingkungan.  Subyek dalam penelitian  ini  yaitu kelas VIII SMPN 9 Kota Bengkulu. Metode  yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 100 peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal tes literasi sains dan lembar pedoman wawancara. Teknik analisis data dilakukan  dengan pemberian skor untuk setiap jawaban peserta didik kemudian di interprestasikan ke dalam nilai dan kategori capaian sains serta menganalisis hasil wawancara. Dengan demikian kemampuan literasi sains siswa berdasarkan hasil penelitian memiliki  persentase  nilai  rata-rata pada aspek  konteks sebesar (49%) dengan ketercapaian sangat rendah, aspek  pengetahuan sebesar (51%) dengan ketercapaian  rendah,  dan  aspek  kompetensi sebesar (47%) dengan ketercapaian sangat rendah. Secara  keseluruhan  hasil  penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan literasi sains siswa masih dalam kategori sangat rendah dengan persentase sebesar 47%. Rendahnya kemampuan literasi sains siswa pada materi isu pencemaran lingkungan di SMPN 9 Kota Bengkulu dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, yaitu minat baca peserta didik yang masih rendah, peserta didik jarang mengulang pembelajaran, peserta didik belum terlatih dalam memecahkan permasalahan mengenai isu pencemaran lingkungan yang terjadi di wilayah Kota Bengkulu dan alat evaluasi yang belum mengarah pada pengembangan literasi sains.   Kata kunci: Literasi Sains, Pencemaran Lingkungan, SMPN 9 Kota Bengkulu   ABSTRACT   This study aims to describe the scientific literacy ability of eighth grade students of SMPN 9 Bengkulu City in the environmental pollution issues. The subjects in this study is class VIII SMPN 9 Bengkulu City. The method used is descriptive quantitative method. The sample in this study amounted to 100 students. The instruments used were scientific literacy test questions and interview guide sheets. The data analysis technique was carried out by giving a score for each student's answer and then interpreting it into the value and category of science achievement and analyzing the results of the interview. Thus students' scientific literacy skills based on research results have an average score percentage in the context aspect of (49%) with very low achievement, knowledge aspect of (51%) with low achievement, and competence aspect of (47%) with very high achievement. low. Overall, the results showed that the students' scientific literacy skills were still in the very low category with a percentage of 47%. The low ability of students' scientific literacy on environmental pollution issues at SMPN 9 Bengkulu City is influenced by several factors, namely students' low interest in reading, students rarely repeat learning, students have not been trained in solving problems regarding environmental pollution issues that occur in the area Bengkulu City and evaluation tools that have not led to the development of scientific literacy.   Keywords: Science Literacy, Environmental Pollution, SMPN 9 Bengkulu City

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) bertujuan untuk mengembangkan produk Media Pembelajaran Interaktif Berorientasi Pemahaman Konsep pada Pembelajaran Materi Tekanan untuk Siswa Kelas VIII. Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana mengembangkan, kelayakan dan respon peserta didik terhadap media pembelajaran interaktif. Penelitian dilakukan di SMPN 05 Mukomuko. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah 4D yaitu Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate, namun pada penelitian hanya dibatasi pada tahap Develop. Tahap Define terdiri atas observasi, wawancara, dan analisis kebutuhan pengembangan. Tahap Design terdiri atas rancangan awal Media Pembelajaran Interaktif (MPI) dan kisi-kisi instrument validasi MPI. Sedangkan pada tahap Develop terdiri atas validasi MPI oleh ahli dan uji coba penggunaan secara terbatas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan diperoleh total rata-rata skor Aiken adalah 0,85 dengan kategori validitas tinggi/layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran dengan masih masing skor 0.79 oleh ahli materi dan 0,92 oleh ahli media. Sedangkan uji keterbacaan produk oleh guru memperoleh persentase rata-rata 99,6% dengan kategori sangat baik. Selain itu respon siswa terhadap MPI yang dikembangkan memperoleh persentase rata-rata sebesar 90% dengan kategori sangat baik.   Kata kunci: Media, Media Pembelajaran Interaktif, Tekanan ABSTRACT This research is a research and development (R&D) aimed at developing an Interactive Learning Media product that is Oriented to Understanding Concepts in Learning Stress Materials for Class VIII Students. This development research aims to find out how to develop, feasibility and students' responses to interactive learning media. The research was conducted at SMPN 05 Mukomuko. The development model used is 4D, namely Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate, but the research is only limited to the Develop stage. Define stage consists of observation, interviews, and analysis of development needs. The Design phase consists of the initial design of the Interactive Learning Media (MPI) and the MPI validation instrument grid. Meanwhile, the Develop stage consists of MPI validation by experts and limited use trials. Based on the results of the research that has been done, the total average score of Aiken is 0.85 with the category of high validity/feasible to use in the learning process with each score of 0.79 by material experts and 0.92 by media experts. While the product readability test by the teacher obtained an average percentage of 99.6% with a very good category. In addition, student responses to the developed MPI obtained an average percentage of 90% with a very good category.   Keywords: Media, Interactive Learning Media, Pressure

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis android dengan SAC (Smart Apps Creator) pada materi pemanasan global di kelas VII. Penelitian dilakukan di SMP Negeri 4 Kota Bengkulu. Teknik analisis validasi yang digunakan adalah formula Aiken V. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis android berdasarkan skor raat-rata dari validasi media sebesar 0,88 dan validasu materi sebesar 1,00 memenuhi kategori sangat valid dan reliabel dengan V > 0,8. Artinya, media pembelajaran berbasis android yang dikembangkan sudah sangat layak untuk diuji cobakan. Kemudian respon siswa terhadap media pembelajaran berbasis android diperoleh persentase 89,83% dengan kategori sangat baik yang artinya sebagian besar siswa menyukai jika pembelajaran menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis android yang didalamnya terdapat video, gambar serta audio, media pembelajaran berbasis android juga dianggap media pembelajaran yang mudah diakses sehingga siswa mudah dalam menggunakannya. Selain itu, siswa lebih memahami isi materi pada materi pemanasan global. Sedangkan respoon guru terhadap media pembelajaran berbasis android diperoleh persentase 92,18% dengan kategori sangat baik yang artinya guru membutuhkan media pembelajaran berbasis android yang tidak hanya berupa teks tetapi memuat video, gambar, audio dan evaluasi, guru menyukai media pembelajaran berbasis android karena membantu guru menarik perhatian siswa. Selain itu, media pembelajaran berbasis android juga dianggap media pembelajaran yang mudah diakses dimanapun dan kapanpun.   Kata Kunci: Media Pembelajaran, Android, SAC (Smart Apps Creator), Pemanasan Global.   ABSTRACT   This study aims to develop an android-based learning media with SAC (Smart Apps Creator) on global warming material in class VII. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 4 Bengkulu City. The validation analysis technique used is the Aiken V formula. The results of the study conclude that the android-based learning media based on the average score of media validation is 0.88 and the material validity is 1.00. It meets the very valid and reliable category with V > 0.8. This means that the Android-based learning media that has been developed is very feasible to be tested. Then the student response to android-based learning media obtained a percentage of 89.83% with a very good category which means that most students like learning using android-based learning media which includes video, images and audio, android-based learning media is also considered an easy learning media accessible so that students can easily use it. In addition, students better understand the content of the material on global warming material. While the teacher's response to android-based learning media obtained a percentage of 92.18% with a very good category which means that teachers need android-based learning media that are not only in the form of text but contain videos, images, audio and evaluation, teachers like android-based learning media because it helps teachers attract students' attention. Abstract

ABSTRAK   Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan handout KOKO (Kontekstual dan Kooperatif) pada materi sistem organisasi kehidupan terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VII SMPN 9 Kota Bengkulu. Penelitian menggunakan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 9 Kota Bengkulu dengan sampel kelas VII A dan VII C. Penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar tes yang berbentuk soal essay. Hasil belajar siswa berdasarkan analisis independent sample t-tes diperoleh nilai thitung ˃ ttabel = 5,512 ˃ 2,001 sehingga H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Berdasarkan uji peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dengan  uji N-gain diperoleh bahwa nilai N-gain kelas eskperimen lebih tinggi daripada nilai N-gain kelas kontrol dengan  rata-rata N-gain score kelas eskperimen 0.7 dan kelas kontrol 0.5. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan handout berbasis KOKO (Kontekstual dan Kooperatif) terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VII pada aspek kognitif.   Kata kunci : Handout, KOKO, Hasil Belajar Aspek Kognitif, dan Sistem Organisasi Kehidupan     ABSTRACT The research aims to determine the effect of the use of the KOKO (Contextual and Cooperative) handout on the material of life organization systems on student learning outcomes in class VII of SMPN 9 Bengkulu City. Research using a non-equivalent control group design The population in this study were students of class VII at SMP Negeri 9 in Bengkulu City, with a sample of students in classes VII A and VII C. The sample was determined using a purposive sampling technique. The instrument of the research is a test sheet in the form of essay questions. Student learning outcomes based on independent sample t-test analysis obtained tcount ˃ ttable = 5.512 ˃  2.001, so that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. Based on the test for improving student learning outcomes with the N-gain test, it was found that the N-gain score for the experimental class was higher than the N-gain score for the control class, with an average N-gain score of 0.7 for the experimental class and 0.5 for the control class. The results of the study concluded that there was an effect of the use of KOKO-based handouts (Contextual and Cooperative) on the learning outcomes of class VII students in the cognitive aspect. Abstract

The study aims to describe the need for appropriate learning methods in educational research statistics lectures in the Covid-19 era. The type of research used was descriptive quantitative. The research sample amounted to 59 students consisting of 20 students from the master's degree program in science education and 39 students from the bachelor's program in physics education at one of the State Universities in Bengkulu City. The research instrument was a student response questionnaire consisting of 8 question items. Data collection was done through the distribution of questionnaires via google form. Data analysis was performed with descriptive statistics. The results of the study show that the Scafolding learning method is an alternative learning method in the era of covid 19. In addition, educational research statistics lectures have difficult and complex characteristics, especially in the data analysis process.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of temperature, humidity, air speed and sunlight intensity on the electricity generated by solar panels. The research method used is the experimental method, by collecting data directly using two solar panels arranged in series and parallel and carried out in two different places, namely the coastal area and the highlands. The results showed that the temperature, humidity and air velocity with tcount were -0.5765; 0.0063; and 0.5608. The value of tcount is smaller than ttable 2.2281 indicating there is no significant effect between temperature, humidity and air velocity on solar panel electric power. For light intensity, the tcount value is 2.301. The value of tcount is greater than ttable 2.2281, so it can be concluded that there is a significant effect between light intensity and solar panel electric power.
