Abstract

In today's digital era, the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method has shown great potential across various sectors, including education and career development. However, its application in electronic career systems, or E-Careers, remains relatively uncommon. This creates an urgency to conduct research on how the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method can be applied in E-Career systems to enhance efficiency, transparency, and security in the career search process for students. This study aims to apply the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method in the development of a mobile-based E-Career system at Politeknik LP3I Cirebon Campus. One sector that can benefit from the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method is the electronic career system or E-Career. This system aims to facilitate career searches for students in a more efficient and transparent manner. However, a challenge in implementing this system is ensuring that the data shared between different parties is secure and unalterable. The primary goal is to create a system that is not only efficient but also secure and transparent. Thus, students can search for careers more efficiently and transparently, while companies can more easily find the right candidates. Additionally, this research also aims to identify and address challenges in integrating the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method with mobile applications.

Abstract

Excellent Lecturers are human resources (HR) that are very necessary in the world of education so that they can educate students to become superior human resources. Apart from that, all universities in Indonesia play an active role in improving the quality of education. One important factor that determines the quality of education in higher education is the quality of the lecturers who teach. Excellent lecturers are lecturers who are sought after and needed by all universities. However, in reality, the lecturer recruitment process in educational institutions often experiences obstacles, such as inaccurate decisions, errors in decision making, and late decision making. This can affect the quality of education provided and the effectiveness of the educational institution itself. Therefore, selecting superior and qualified lecturers is very important. So, we need a decision support system to help the recruitment process for superior lecturers more effectively and efficiently. Manual decision making in the recruitment process is considered less objective and can result in decisions that are not in accordance with wishes. The Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) method is a method that can be used to assist decision making in deciding which superior lecturers to recruit. The urgency of this research is to help make decisions effectively and efficiently. The aim of this research is to build a decision support system for the lecturer recruitment process using the web-based Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) method.

Abstract

In the modern era of education, academic document management plays a crucial role in supporting the efficiency and sustainability of the academic environment. Given the complexity of information generated by educational institutions, this research focuses on implementing an innovative and integrated document management system. The primary goal of this research is to enhance the security, accessibility, and validity of academic documents, thereby positively impacting the operational effectiveness and quality of educational services. This study is driven by the urgency to improve the security, validity, and efficiency of academic document management at Politeknik Kutaraja Banda Aceh. With technological advancements, document security has become crucial, especially in higher education. Blockchain technology is proposed as an innovative solution to address these challenges. Previous research has demonstrated the relevance of blockchain technology in educational settings, particularly in the management of academic data and documents. The implementation of this technology is expected to provide solutions to issues such as forgery, transparency, and the validity of academic documents, making it essential for improving academic integrity at Politeknik Kutaraja. The aim of this research is to identify and develop a suitable blockchain technology implementation model for managing academic documents within the Polytechnic environment. By utilizing blockchain concepts, the research aims to enhance document security, efficiency in management processes, and the validity of academic documents. The target of this research is the implementation of a distributed system accessible by all relevant stakeholders, a tool for verifying document authenticity, and improving efficiency in managing academic transactions. Through this research, Politeknik Kutaraja is expected to obtain an innovative model to enhance the integrity and security of academic documents, creating a transparent and trustworthy academic environment.

Abstract

In today's digital era, digital financial literacy plays an important role in shaping people's investment behavior and decisions. Padangsidimpuan City, one of the cities in Indonesia, faces challenges in adopting and implementing digital financial literacy among its citizens. Effective and efficient investment decision-making is crucial in the current economic context, where financial information is widely available but often complex and difficult for the general public to interpret. The application of digital financial literacy can improve individuals' ability to manage personal finances and make wise investment decisions. However, there are still gaps in knowledge and practice in the field that hinder the optimal use of digital financial literacy. The urgency of this activity is to strengthen digital financial literacy in the community. By understanding its influence on investment decision-making, strategies can be developed to increase awareness and understanding of digital finance, thereby helping people make more informed investment decisions. AHP was chosen due to its unique ability to handle subjective and objective preferences and the complexity of decision-making, making it very suitable for examining the phenomenon of digital financial literacy in the context of investment decision-making.

Abstract

In the era of digitalization, the need for innovation in financial management has become increasingly urgent. With the emergence of E-wallets as a digital payment solution, the efficiency and security of transactions have become primary focuses. Therefore, this research plays a crucial role in presenting an innovative solution by designing and developing a mobile application prototype that integrates E-wallet management with Near Field Communication (NFC) technology. The urgency of this research is highlighted by the increasing use of E-wallets, which indicates that digital financial solutions are gaining wider acceptance in society. In this context, the integration of NFC becomes relevant as it offers higher security and enables more efficient transactions. This study aims to address the growing market demand for digital payment solutions that are fast, secure, and user-friendly. The objective is to design and develop a mobile application prototype that not only simplifies E-wallet management but also leverages the advantages of NFC technology. The goal is to provide users with a more convenient and secure transaction experience. Thus, this research is expected to increase the adoption of E-wallets among the general public. The result of this research is a mobile application prototype integrated with NFC technology for E-wallet management.

Abstract

Advertising is a way to promote a product, brand or service to an audience to drive interest, engagement and sales. Social media can be utilized as a medium for spreading motion graphic content more widely and efficiently. This animation research aims to provide information on the effect of designing animation videos as a means of promotional advertising on Ucok Sticker and produce product advertising videos that can increase consumer appeal. From the research conducted obtained the results in the form of a 2D video animation product advertisements used as a promotional medium to attract consumer interest in Ucok Sticker products. This video is made using several software such as coreldraw, photohop and wondershare filmora x. It can be concluded that this research aims as a promotional advertisement and information to increase consumer attractiveness and sales. Researchers hope that this advertising video has better expectations for the future.

Abstract

Indonesia's National Data Center (PDN) has a strategic role in the country's digital infrastructure, but it is a potential target for cyberattacks. Conventional security models have proven inadequate in dealing with the complexity of modern threats, so a Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) approach is necessary. This research aims to develop a Zero Trust security framework that is integrated with blockchain technology to improve the efficiency and resilience of PDN systems. The research methods include literature study, identification of PDN security needs, framework design, prototype development using Hyperledger Fabric, and testing and evaluation in a simulation environment. The framework built consists of blockchain-based identity verification, minimum access control (least privilege), and blockchain-based activity monitoring and logging. Provisional results show that the framework successfully rejects 98% of simulated internal attacks, reduces the success of unauthorized access by 80%, and reduces the success of phishing attacks from 25% to 5%. A survey of administrators showed that 90% said security improvements and 85% said the system remained user-friendly. While providing significant improvements in security and auditability, this framework creates an additional latency of 100–150 ms and demands expert human resources. This research contributes to the development of a more transparent and resilient national security model through the integration of blockchain and Zero Trust principles.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of the digital industry requires vocational education in Indonesia to undergo transformation, particularly in providing competency validation systems that are efficient, adaptive, and trustworthy. In reality, however, competency certification processes in many vocational institutions are still conducted manually and tend to be bureaucratic, limiting their ability to respond to the dynamic needs of industry. This condition may reduce graduates’ competitiveness and widen the skills gap between vocational education and the labor market. Micro-credentials have emerged as an innovative approach to recognizing competencies in a modular, flexible, and industry-oriented manner. Nevertheless, their implementation still faces significant challenges, especially in terms of validation speed, reliability, and transparency. To address these challenges, this study develops a micro-credential–based competency validation model integrated with blockchain technology through the use of smart contracts at Politeknik LP3I Medan. This research adopts a Research and Development (R&D) approach based on the Borg and Gall model, including needs analysis, learning module design, system development, limited trials, expert validation, and effectiveness evaluation. Alpha testing involving 15 students demonstrates a system success rate of 95%, with an average verification time of 14.4 seconds. Usability evaluation indicates that the system is user-friendly and well accepted.

Abstract

The water quality of the Ciujung River in Serang has experienced a significant decline due to domestic and industrial waste pollution, directly affecting public health and environmental sustainability. Current monitoring systems remain largely manual and lack responsiveness, resulting in delayed and less data-driven pollution management. This study aims to develop an Internet of Things (IoT)-based water quality monitoring system integrated with an intelligent dashboard to support sustainable environmental programs. The proposed system monitors key water quality parameters, including pH, temperature, turbidity, and total dissolved solids (TDS), in real time. The methodology includes designing a microcontroller-based sensor prototype, integrating data communication modules (LoRa/GSM), processing data via a cloud server, and implementing interactive visualization through a web-based dashboard. Furthermore, the system features an early warning mechanism when water parameters exceed environmental quality thresholds. Field trials are conducted at several strategic points along the Ciujung River to evaluate data acquisition reliability, connectivity stability, and sensor accuracy. The expected outcome is an efficient, responsive, and adaptive monitoring system that supports data-driven decision-making in river water management and reinforces commitments to sustainable development.
