Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how communication, work ethic, and the environment as well as the perception of organizational support affect teacher performance. Employee performance is one of the key factors that determine the success and competitiveness of an organization, including in the banking industry. In the banking sector, employee performance not only has an impact on operational efficiency, but also has a direct impact on the quality of service to customers, customer satisfaction, and the bank's reputation. Design/methodology/approach: A structural equation model, also known as a structural equation (SEM), is used in this work to resize the sample. This shows that SEM research using the MLE estimation model should use a minimum of 200 samples. Findings: The findings of this study show that communication and work environment can affect the improvement of employee performance, but in contrast to the work ethic in this study, it is not able to affect employee performance but is different from the case and place of the study. Research, Practical & Social Implications: The study concludes that to maintain employee performance, companies can update the work environment so that it becomes comfortable in the workplace and can improve communication both from leaders to employees and vice versa. This type of research was descriptive qualitative research. The main instrument in this study was the researcher himself and assisted by supporting instruments such as stationery, camera, memory card /flash disk, and mobile phone. This study's data sources were lecturers and students of the Art, Drama, Dance and Music Study Program, Universitas Negeri Padang. The informants of this research are lecturers in Digital Music lectures at the the Art, Drama, Dance and Music Study Program, Universitas Negeri Padang. Data collection techniques were carried out using library research, observation, and interviews. The steps to analyze the data were data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results showed inadequate facilities and infrastructure for digital music lectures. The facilities and infrastructure only use computers and soundcards in digital music lectures. Meanwhile, the facilities needed in digital music lectures are computers, soundcards, mixers, microphones, and midi controllers. The Sibelius, Nuendo, and fruity loop software were used in this lecture. However, students still expect the provision of software from the lecturer without trying to download the software. The implementation of the classes for this course went well. It was following the RPS used by the lecturer in charge of digital music courses, so the material provided was well conveyed. However, in implementing a Digital Audio Workstation, many students could not operate it properly, whether operating Sibelius, Nuendo, or fruity loop. As music academics, students should at least master notation writing and music editing to have skills in work after graduating from college.

Abstract

In recent years, the Indonesian government has established priority programs to improve the accessibility and quality of health services throughout the country, including in rural and remote areas. However, many regional hospitals, including in the Besuki Raya area, experience various challenges in improving the quality of health services, especially in terms of employee performance. This study aims to determine the relationship between work ability, organizational culture, organizational climate, and work ethic on employee performance through organizational commitment and work motivation as intervening variables at Besuki Raya Hospital, East Java. This relationship pattern is explained through a structural equation model with opportunities and work motivation as intervening and endogenous variables. The sampling technique in this study was proportional area sampling which included employees of Besuki Raya Hospital consisting of Jember, Banyuwangi, Bondowoso and Situbondo, with 250 respondents willing to fill out the questionnaire. The study results show that workability, organizational culture, organizational climate, and work ethic significantly positively affect employee performance, directly and indirectly, through organizational commitment and work motivation. Hospital management must focus on human resource development and determine appropriate strategies to improve employee performance, including training, recognition, rewards, and effective communication. The implication of this research is that hospitals and local governments can improve human resources to improve the quality of health services to the community.
