Abstract

The development of digital technology has transformed various aspects of life, including the micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) sector. In Sekupang District, the adoption of digital technology by MSME actors faces various challenges, particularly in understanding and accessing such technologies. The purpose of this digital technology outreach is to enhance the knowledge and skills of MSME actors in adopting technology, enabling them to compete in the digital era. This outreach activity includes a basic understanding of business software usage, digital marketing strategies, and the use of social media to expand market reach. The methods used include seminars, hands-on training, and Q&A sessions. The results of the outreach indicate an increase in MSME actors' understanding of the importance of digitalization and readiness to implement technology in daily business operations. This program is expected to increase the competitiveness of MSMEs in Sekupang District in facing the challenges of the digital economy.Keywords: outreach; digital technology; MSME; digitalization Abstrak: Perkembangan teknologi digital telah mengubah berbagai aspek kehidupan, termasuk sektor usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM). Di Kecamatan Sekupang, pemanfaatan teknologi digital oleh pelaku UMKM masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan, terutama dalam hal pemahaman dan akses terhadap teknologi tersebut. Sosialisasi teknologi digital bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan pelaku UMKM dalam mengadopsi teknologi, sehingga mampu bersaing di era digital. Kegiatan sosialisasi ini mencakup pemahaman dasar tentang penggunaan perangkat lunak bisnis, strategi pemasaran digital, serta pemanfaatan media sosial untuk memperluas jangkauan pasar. Metode yang digunakan meliputi seminar, pelatihan langsung, dan sesi tanya jawab. Hasil dari sosialisasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman pelaku UMKM mengenai pentingnya digitalisasi, serta kesiapan untuk mengimplementasikan teknologi dalam operasional bisnis sehari-hari. Program ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan daya saing UMKM di Kecamatan Sekupang dalam menghadapi tantangan ekonomi digital.Kata kunci: sosialisasi; teknologi digital; UMKM; digitalisasi

Abstract

Dalam melaksanakan pemasaran digital, salah satu hal yang harus diperhatikan adalah bagaimana menjalin komunikasi dengan konsumen. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menjawab pertanyaan bagaimana pemahaman UMKM Indonesia terhadap penerapan Customer Relationship Management (CRM) dalam pemasaran UMKM. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Penelitian ini melakukan review sebanyak 20 artikel terkait CRM pada UMKM Indonesia yang dipublikasikan dari 2015 hingga 2023, syarat dari artikel yang direview adalah minimal terakreditasi Nasional. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa belum semua UMKM Indonesia paham akan pemanfaatkan CRM dalam pemasaran, bagi UMKM yang sudah cukup paham, mereka menggunakan CRM untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan dan keinginan pelanggan, CRM memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap kepuasan pelanggan, dan CRM memiliki peran dalam mempertahankan serta meningkatkan loyalitas pelanggan.

Abstract

Background: Limited fish storage facilities are a major factor contributing to the decline in fish quality among fishermen in island areas, which ultimately reduces market value. This community service activity aimed to implement a solar-powered cooler box as an efficient and environmentally friendly storage solution for fishermen in remote coastal regions. Method: The method included a needs assessment, design and installation of a 40-liter cooling system with a 100 WP solar panel, and training on operation and maintenance for fishermen in the Belakang Padang Islands. Results: The results showed that the storage temperature could be maintained between 2–4°C for 8–10 hours daily without relying on conventional electricity. The use of this equipment reduced the spoilage rate of fish from an average of 28% to 10%, and increased selling prices by an average of 18%. Conclusion: This program demonstrates that renewable energy technologies can contribute to improving the quality of fish catches and the economic well-being of fishermen in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Background: Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan mengimplementasikan aplikasi SILCARE (Sistem Logistik Cerdas) sebagai solusi logistik digital bagi pelaku Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di Kota Batam. Latar belakang kegiatan ini adalah tantangan signifikan yang dihadapi UMKM dalam proses distribusi barang yang masih dilakukan secara manual, minimnya literasi digital, serta tingginya biaya logistik yang berdampak pada daya saing. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui pendekatan partisipatif dan pelatihan langsung kepada 10 UMKM, khususnya kelompok KUBE Kriya Enceng Mangsang, dimulai dari sosialisasi, pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi, pendampingan simulasi pengiriman, hingga evaluasi menggunakan pre-test dan post-test. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta terkait pengelolaan logistik digital menggunakan aplikasi SILCARE. Sebelum pelatihan, pemahaman peserta rata-rata berada pada kisaran 38%–55%, dan meningkat menjadi 74%–90% setelah pelatihan. Secara rinci, pemahaman fungsi SILCARE meningkat 44% (dari 42% menjadi 86%), pengoperasian fitur pesanan meningkat 40% (dari 38% menjadi 78%), pelacakan status pengiriman meningkat 41% (dari 40% menjadi 81%), dan navigasi serta tampilan aplikasi meningkat 35% (dari 55% menjadi 90%). Kesimpulannya, SILCARE terbukti memberikan solusi yang efisien dan terjangkau dalam pengelolaan logistik UMKM, serta memiliki potensi untuk direplikasi pada wilayah lain. Pengembangan lebih lanjut dapat difokuskan pada integrasi fitur tambahan seperti pembayaran digital dan laporan keuangan otomatis.

Abstract

Background: Ikan merupakan sumber protein hewani yang melimpah dan mudah diperoleh, namun memiliki kelemahan mudah mengalami pembusukan karena kandungan airnya yang tinggi. Kondisi ini menuntut adanya penanganan dan pengawetan yang tepat agar ikan tetap aman dikonsumsi. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat pesisir Tanjung Uma, Batam, mengenai metode pengawetan pangan laut baik secara tradisional maupun modern, serta cara mendeteksi bahan pengawet berbahaya seperti boraks dan formalin dengan memanfaatkan indikator alami kunyit. Metode: Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui ceramah interaktif, diskusi, dan praktik langsung deteksi boraks dan formalin pada sampel ikan. Kegiatan diikuti oleh masyarakat pesisir yang mayoritas berprofesi sebagai ibu rumah tangga dan pelaku usaha kecil pengolahan ikan. Hasil: Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta, meliputi pemahaman perbedaan metode pengawetan tradisional dan modern, pengetahuan mengenai bahaya boraks, serta keterampilan dalam melakukan uji sederhana untuk mendeteksi bahan pengawet berbahaya. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan ini menyimpulkan bahwa edukasi disertai praktik lapangan terbukti efektif meningkatkan kemampuan masyarakat dalam mengawetkan ikan secara aman tanpa penggunaan bahan kimia berbahaya.

Abstract

Indonesia possesses significant potential in marine ornamental fish resources with high economic value. One of the main challenges in maintaining koi (Cyprinus carpio), which is popular for its attractive shape and colors, is maintaining a stable aquarium environment. Fluctuations in water temperature and pH can adversely affect the health of the fish, thus an effective monitoring system is necessary. This study employs a waterfall development method to design and build a temperature and pH monitoring system based on the Internet of Things (IoT). The system is developed using the Laravel framework and a Telegram bot to enable real-time monitoring of water conditions and provide automatic notifications to the owner when water conditions fall outside safe limits. Testing results show that the system successfully detects water temperature with an error margin between 1.44% and 2.50%. The results of the pH sensor testing show that the measured pH values range from 6.24 to 7.14. The percentage error in the measurements varies from 2.19% to 14.53% compared to the reference pH value of 7.3. The notification system also performs well, sending alerts when the water pH is below 6.5 or above 7.8, and when the water temperature is below 22°C or above 30°C. The web application effectively displays real-time temperature and pH data and allows control of pH and temperature through commands from the web interface.

Abstract

Wind is one of the potential renewable energy sources that is gaining increasing attention in efforts to diversify energy resources. This study aims to design and implement a wind speed recording system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) to facilitate feasibility studies for wind energy utilization. The system uses an Anemometer sensor to measure wind speed, a NodeMCU ESP8266 as the microcontroller, and a 20x4 I2C LCD to display data in real-time. The generated data will be transmitted wirelessly via a Wi-Fi network to the Arduino IoT Cloud platform, where it can be accessed and analyzed remotely. The main challenge in designing the wind speed recording system is integrating various hardware and software components to ensure system interoperability and optimal performance. To address this issue, a modular approach was taken using standard interfaces and phased integration testing. Furthermore, the wind speed recording system was tested in two highland areas and two coastal areas, all of which are open areas, namely Bukit Tiban Ayu, Bukit Tangga Seribu, Pantai Cipta Land located in Sekupang District, and the second Barelang Bridge. The measurements yielded average wind speed recordings of approximately 0.60 m/s at Bukit Tiban Ayu and Pantai Cipta Land, around 0.88 m/s at Bukit Tangga Seribu, and 1.02 m/s at the second Barelang Bridge. The measurement results at these four locations did not meet the wind energy utilization standards. The data generated from this study can be used by (wind power plant) developers as an analysis in determining the feasibility of locations for development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh kecerdasan buatan (AI) terhadap kemampuan kognitif mahasiswa, khususnya berpikir kritis, pemecahan masalah, dan daya ingat, serta menilai persepsi mahasiswa terhadap penggunaannya dalam pembelajaran. Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari meningkatnya pemanfaatan AI di pendidikan tinggi yang menghadirkan peluang sekaligus risiko ketergantungan kognitif. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain post-test only control group pada 120 mahasiswa, dibagi kelompok eksperimen (menggunakan AI) dan kontrol (metode konvensional). Instrumen kuesioner skala Likert digunakan untuk menggali persepsi mahasiswa. Analisis dilakukan dengan uji-t, ANOVA, dan regresi linier. Hasil menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelompok, dengan skor kognitif lebih tinggi pada kelompok eksperimen (t = 4.210; p < 0.01). Pengaruh terbesar AI terdapat pada aspek pemecahan masalah (F = 6.73; p < 0.01), sedangkan peningkatan daya ingat relatif rendah. Persepsi mahasiswa cenderung positif, terutama pada indikator pemahaman konsep (mean = 4.0) dan motivasi belajar (mean = 3.8), meski muncul indikasi ketergantungan (mean = 3.5) dan penurunan daya ingat (mean = 3.3). Regresi menunjukkan intensitas penggunaan AI berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan kognitif (R² = 0.420). Kesimpulannya, AI efektif sebagai cognitive enhancer namun perlu diintegrasikan dengan prinsip ergonomi kognitif agar tidak melemahkan kemandirian berpikir mahasiswa.

Abstract

Marine debris is a serious problem, especially in the outermost, foremost, and least developed (3T) islands of Indonesia, where limited infrastructure and low public awareness are the main obstacles to effective waste management. This study aims to design, develop, and evaluate an Internet of Things (IoT)-based application integrated with a community-based web platform to support circular economy practices and community empowerment in marine debris management. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) adapted from Borg & Gall, starting from the needs analysis stage to dissemination. An IoT module equipped with ultrasonic and GPS sensors is used to detect container capacity and location in real-time. Performance testing results show a response time of 1.8 seconds, a data transmission success rate of 98.7%, and a capacity detection accuracy of 96.2%, which meets the established technical standards. User acceptance testing using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) involving 15 respondents resulted in an average Perceived Usefulness (PU) score of 4.40 and Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU) of 4.23. Pearson's correlation analysis showed an r value of 0.84 (p = 0.0001), indicating a very strong and significant positive relationship between ease of use and perceived usefulness. This finding confirms that the developed system is technically reliable, easy to use, and capable of promoting environmental sustainability and economic opportunities in the 3T island communities.

Abstract

Plastic waste accumulation poses a severe environmental burden, particularly in urban and archipelagic regions where centralized treatment infrastructure is limited. While thermal processing offers a pathway for volume reduction and material recovery, inadequate temperature control frequently leads to uncontrolled combustion and the formation of hazardous air pollutants. This study addresses this gap by developing and experimentally validating a low-emission, IoT-enabled mobile plastic melting system designed for decentralized paving block production. The proposed system integrates real-time thermal sensing using a K-type thermocouple and an ESP32-based controller with a compact three-nozzle water spray filtration unit. The control architecture maintains the melting process at approximately 270 °C, thereby preserving polymer viscosity for molding while preventing temperature excursions beyond 300 °C that may initiate combustion and toxic by-product formation. The filtration module operates as a simplified wet scrubber, capturing airborne particulates and simultaneously cooling the exhaust stream. Experimental evaluations confirm that the integrated control–filtration framework achieves stable thermal regulation and substantial suppression of visible exhaust emissions. Under these conditions, molten plastic was consistently transformed into dense paving blocks with smooth surface morphology and without evidence of polymer degradation or charring. The results demonstrate that combining IoT-based thermal governance with low-cost water-spray emission control provides an effective and scalable alternative to open burning for community-level plastic waste recycling. This mobile platform enables environmentally safer conversion of plastic waste into value-added construction materials, offering a practical pathway toward decentralized circular-economy implementation in resource-constrained regions.
