Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: : Work fatigue is a condition where the body runs out of energy due to the extension of the work done. Work fatigue increases work errors and decreases performance. Reduced performance equals reduced productivity at work. When the level of worker productivity is disrupted by physical and mental fatigue, the result is reduced company productivity. Methods: This research method is quantitative with an observational analytic research design with a cross sectional approach. The sample for this study were workers in the production section of PA (Casting) at Alumunium Manufacturing of Batam City totaling 40 people were selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The analytical test used is the Chi-Square test and regresion logistic test. Results: Based on the results of the Chi-Square test on work intensity with work fatigue, it is known that there is a significant value of 0.001 (<0.05). Namely states that there is a significant influence between work intensity and work fatigue. Then on the circadian rhythm with work fatigue the p-value is 0.001 (<0.05), which states that there is a significant influence between circadian rhythm and work fatigue. And on psychological state and work fatigue the p-value is 0.001 (<0.05), which states that there is a significant influence between psychological state and work fatigue. Based on the results above, it can be concluded that the most influential factor is work intensity with a p-value (0.000) and a coefficients beta value (0.511). Conclusion: Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that Ho is rejected, which means that there is a significant influence between work intensity, circadian rhythm and psychological state on work fatigue in production workers at Alumunium Manufacturing Indonesia, Batam City. Based on the results of the multivariate test, the most influential is work intensity. Keywords: Work Intensity, Circadian Rhythm, Psychological State, and Work Fatigue

Abstract

Background: the nutritional status of infants greatly influences their growth and development. To find out the nutritional status of infants can be seen from what they consume. Babies aged 6-11 months get nutrition from MP-ASI and ASI. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between complementary feeding and nutritional status at the Sambau Health Center. Method: Type of quantitative research with a cross-sectional study design. This research was conducted in December 2022. The population was infants aged 6-11 months who attended Posyandu activities in December as many as 69 people were taken using the total sampling technique. Data on MP-ASI administration, frequency, and form of MP-ASI were obtained using a questionnaire and measuring weight/PB. The data were analyzed using the chi-square test. Results: Giving MP-ASI to infants 6-11 months was 63.8%. The frequency of giving MP-ASI was mostly according to age, namely 75.4%. Most of the MP-ASI forms are age-appropriate, namely 76.8%. The nutritional status of infants aged 6-11 months is mostly good, namely 92.8%. The results of the chi-square test obtained a p-value of 0.856 for the relationship between MP-ASI and nutritional status, and the relationship between MP-ASI frequency and nutritional status obtained a p-value of 0.003. Meanwhile, the relationship between complementary feeding and nutritional status obtained a p-value of 0.861. Conclusion: There is no significant relationship between the provision of MP-ASI and the nutritional status of infants 6-11 months at the Sambau Health Center with a value of p=0.586 (p>0.05).

Abstract

Background: Dysmenorrhea, or menstrual pain, is a common complaint experienced by women during menstruation. Factors such as dietary patterns and consumption of specific beverages can play a role in reducing the severity of dysmenorrhea. One such beverage with the potential to alleviate menstrual pain is carrot juice and green coconut water, both rich in nutrients and anti-inflammatory compounds. Hence, it is crucial to investigate the comparison between carrot juice and green coconut water regarding the severity of dysmenorrhea. Methods: This study utilized a Quasi-Experimental research design with a Non-equivalent approach. The research was conducted at the Female Dormitory of Batam University from November 2023. The sampling technique used was Simple Random Sampling, with a total sample size of 42 or 14 sample in each group. Results: Based on the One-Way ANOVA test, the obtained result indicates that the significance value of the ANOVA test (Sig.) is 0.000 (< 0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the effects of carrot juice and green coconut water on the reduction of dysmenorrhea levels. Conclusion: Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that the intervention of green coconut water is more effective in reducing menstrual pain compared to the intervention of carrot juice among female dormitory students University of Batam in 2023.

Abstract

 People do not realize the importance of living a healthy life by exercising, so many have put sports aside as life priorities. According to WHO 2018, around the world around 70% of adolescents do not do sports. When heading to adulthood, many things can affect the attitudes and behavior of adolescents so that they will have an impact on reproductive health. Like before menstruation, the symptoms that arise are discomfort that occurs for a short time and can become intense, this is called premenstrual syndrome. Sports activity is one of the factors that can relieve premenstrual syndrome. This research method is observational analytic with cross sectional approach which was conducted at SMAN 6 Tangerang in November. The sampling technique was simple random sampling with a total sample of 130 students. The research results were analyzed by using Chi-Square. The results of research on 130 respondents, showed that 18 students with mild PMS did regular exercise, 14 students (40%) who were irregular. There were 20 students with moderate PMS did regular exercise (32.8%) and 41 students (67.2%) who were irregular. Then, there were 8 students with severe PMS did regular exercise (20.5%), and 31 students (79.5%) who were irregular.Based on this research, there is a relationship between sports activity and the incidence of premenstrual syndrome in young women at SMAN 6 Tangerang

Abstract

Menstruation is an important part of a woman's reproductive cycle, but menstrual problems can affect the normal lives of teenagers and adult women. Menstrual disorders that occur are irregular or infrequent menstrual cycles. Menstrual cycle disorders due to imbalance of Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) and Luteinezing Hormone (LH) so that estrogen and progesterone levels are not normal. Several studies addressing the problem of psychosocial risk, infertility.This type of research is an observational analytic study with a cross sectional study conducted at Harapan Utama High School in January. The sampling technique is total sampling with a total sample of 94 students. The results of the study were analyzed by Chi-square. Research Results 94 respondents, there were 10 students (55.6%) who had a high-efficiency BMI and a menstrual cycle of more than 8 students (44.4%) who had a very-good IMT recently had a menstrual cycle. Then as many as 28 students (58.3%) who had a normal BMI increased the normal menstrual cycle and as many as 20 students (41.7%) who had a normal BMI increased the menstrual cycle. In addition, as many as 6 students (21.4%) who had obesity-obesity BMI increased the normal menstrual cycle and as many as 22 students (78.6%) who had obesity-BMI increased obesity. Chi-square test results obtained p = 0.006 (p≤0.05).Based on this study, there is a relationship between Body Mass Index (BMI) and Menstrual Cycle Disorders in Batam Harapan Utama High School Students in 2020

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mencegah bullying di kalangan generasi Z dengan pendekatan berbasis nilai-nilai Islam di Sekolah Islam Nabila, Kota Batam. Program ini melibatkan pelatihan siswa, untuk meningkatkan kesadaran agar perilaku bullying dapat dihindari sedini mungkin. Topik ini dipilih dengan alasan perilaku bullying yang akhir-akhir ini meningkat pesat berdasarkan data BPS. Metode yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi dan penyuluhan terkait menghindari perilaku bullying berbasis Islami, dan pembinaan karakter melalui kegiatan keagamaan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta mengenai konsep akhlak mulia, pentingnya ukhuwah Islamiyah, serta implikasi hukum dan etika dalam Islam terkait perilaku bullying. Selain itu, adanya aplikasi pelaporan bullying berbasis nilai-nilai Islam membantu mempercepat deteksi dan intervensi kasus bullying di sekolah. Peran sekolah menyiapkan psikolog untuk dapat menangani jika bullying terjadi dilingkungan lembaga pendidikan. Kegiatan ini berhasil menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang lebih kondusif dan mendukung pembentukan karakter siswa sesuai dengan nilai-nilai Islam. Keberlanjutan program diharapkan dapat diperkuat melalui kolaborasi antara pihak sekolah dengan orang tua.

Abstract

Daun singkong (Manihot esculenta) merupakan salah satu bahan alam yang dimanfaatkan sebagai antibakteri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak etanol daun singkong (Manihot esculenta) terhadap S. aureus dan E. coli. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dengan desain post test only control group. Ekstrak etanol daun singkong dibuat dengan metode ekstraksi maserasi. Sampel terdiri dari 5 kelompok perlakuan yaitu ekstrak etanol daun singkong konsentrasi 75%, 80%, 85%, kontrol positif (Chloramphenicol) dan kontrol negatif (DMSO). Hasil pengamatan akan dianalisis menggunakan analisis varians (ANOVA). Ekstrak etanol daun singkong (Manihot esculenta) menghasilkan zona bening disekitar cakram yang diartikan adanya daya hambat dengan mengukur diameternya, Hasil uji Oneway pada S. aureus dan E. coli menunjukkan nilai signifikan 0,000 (<0,05) dan kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji LSD menunjukan adanya perbedaan signifikan pada setiap kelompok perlakuan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disinpulkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun singkong (Manihot esculenta) dapat menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri S. aureus dan E. coli.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence employee performance in manufacturing companies in Batam City. With a focus on digital leadership, teamwork, work environment, and human resource competencies, this study also explores the impact of management system integration (ISO 9001, 14000, and 45001) on work motivation and job satisfaction. Survey and path analysis methods were used to collect and analyze data from 212 respondents. The results show that a positive work environment, effective teamwork, and good human resource competencies contribute significantly to employee performance. The implications of this study provide valuable insights for companies in improving their employees' performance and satisfaction.

Abstract

Preeklampsia merupakan salah satu penyebab utama morbiditas dan mortalitas maternal di Indonesia, yang dapat dicegah melalui deteksi dini dan edukasi yang tepat. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan pencegahan komplikasi kehamilan melalui skrining dan edukasi komprehensif kepada ibu hamil di wilayah kerja Puskesmas. Intervensi dilakukan dengan pendekatan berbasis komunitas, mencakup pemeriksaan tekanan darah dan proteinuria, penyuluhan kelompok, konseling individual, serta pemberian media edukasi berupa leaflet dan video. Sasaran kegiatan adalah ibu hamil dengan usia kehamilan lebih dari 20 minggu. Dari 30 peserta, ditemukan 3 kasus (10%) preeklampsia ringan dan 1 kasus (3,3%) preeklampsia berat. Setelah edukasi, terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dari 43% menjadi 80% (p<0,05), dan 90% peserta menyatakan komitmen untuk menerapkan pola hidup sehat serta melakukan kontrol kehamilan secara rutin. Program ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan deteksi kasus serta pengetahuan ibu hamil, dan perlu dilanjutkan sebagai upaya pencegahan komplikasi maternal dan perinatal di tingkat layanan primer.

Abstract

One effort to maintain and improve hospital performance is by improving the performance of health workers. This situation makes hospitals create policies that employees must be able to become quality human resources, and it is not uncommon for employees to end up having double jobs, such as in the accreditation implementation process. This condition often becomes a source of conflict for employees, where employees become incompatible in carrying out their orders. The aim of this research is to build a model of employee performance at BP Batam Hospital, with the role of the leader to minimize the emergence of work stress due to workload which can reduce employee performance. This research was conducted at BP Batam Hospital, the research sample was 215 employees. Data processing uses the SEM method with PLS software. The results of this research conclude that pleasant employee experiences have a significant positive influence on employee performance, pleasant employee experiences have a significant positive influence on empowerment, empowerment has a positive and not significant influence on employee performance, work stress has a negative and not significant influence on pleasant employee experiences, engagement. Employees have a significant positive effect on enjoyable Employee Experience, work stress has a significant negative effect on employee engagement, work stress has a significant negative effect on the performance of health workers, work stress has a significant positive effect on performance through Enjoyable Employee Experience, work stress has a significant positive effect on Empowerment through Enjoyable Employee Experience, Employee Engagement have a significant positive influence on employee performance through Enjoyable Employee Experience, Employee Engagement has a significant positive influence on Empowerment through Enjoyable Employee Experience, Enjoyable Employee Experience has a positive and not significant influence on Employee Performance through Empowerment, Job Stress has a significant positive influence on Enjoyable Employees Experience through Employee Engagement, Enjoyable Employee Experience Has a Significant Negative Influence on Employee Performance Moderated by Leader Passionate Performance.
