Abstract

Palliative care services have evolved to incorporate homecare and telemedicine approaches. Research indicates that palliative patients feel more comfortable receiving care at home. Telemedicine services also act as a complementary solution when palliative patients require medical assistance but face distance-related challenges. Rachel House Foundation applies both approaches in providing palliative care for cancer patients. The objective of this study is to provide an assessment of the quality of homecare and telemedicine services from the perspectives of patients’ parents or caregivers. This study employs a quantitative approach with descriptive analysis. The sample consists of 12 individuals who are parents or caregivers of the patients. The findings reveal that the quality of homecare services at Rachel House Foundation is rated as high or very satisfactory, with 100% satisfaction. Assessments by parents or caregivers regarding telemedicine services were categorized as very positive (33.33%) and fairly positive (66.67%). Based on these results, it can be concluded that palliative homecare and telemedicine services are already highly effective. However, improvements are needed in terms of 24-hour service availability, punctuality of staff, and the effectiveness of telemedicine services to match the quality of homecare services.

Abstract

This research was conducted by Persada Indonesia University in Limbangsari village, Cianjur district, focusing on the integration of mental health services in the Posyandu program to prevent stunting. The methodology included training on stress and trauma management, providing counseling services, and training Posyandu cadres to detect and treat mental health problems. Observations showed that most respondents experiencedmoderate to high levels of distress and low social support, which contributed to suboptimal mental health and increased risk of stunting. The results of this study confirm that comprehensive and holistic interventions, covering both nutrition and mental health aspects, are essential to reduce the prevalence of stunting. Posyandu as a community health service center has a crucial role in implementing this integrated program. Suggestions include increased collaboration with health agencies, continuous training for Posyandu mothers, allocation of adequate resources, and involvement of all elements of the community to support the sustainability of mental health and stunting prevention programs.

Abstract

This article aims to investigate the everyday life of terrorists’ families in Surabaya and Sidoarjo East Java Indonesia namely how they have interacted with their neighbors and adapted to the community. Data of this research were gathered through interviews with the neighbors of terrorists’ families and related parties, observing the crime scene of the bombing blast and the neighborhood areas where the terrorist families live, and library research. Results of this study show that the terrorist families of suicide bombings and those raided by Detachment 88 Police Squad were recognized as “ordinary people” by their neighbors and colleagues. Their physical appearances were generally just the same as other Muslims living in their neighborhood; even they participated in several social activities held by the community and interacted with their neighbors openly. This can be recognized as their strategy of adaptation. Thus, they were accepted by the surrounding community, and at the same time, they could still maintain their inner goals as a member of e terrorist group. This paper used the theory of adaptation and Islamic law to examine these aspects, especially how Islam sees jihâd and Inghimâs.

Data analysis techniques used the concept of John W. Creswell. The results of the study explain, first, the manifestation of mahabbah in the rolasan tradition is connected to other spiritual practices such as gratitude, qonaah, ikhlas and others.Second, the social construction of the rolasan tradition begins with the externalization stage, which is how knowledge derived from an individual's stock of knowledge is released to understand social reality. The next process is objectification, which is a series of various traditions, both oral and symbolic, such as "blessings," "tawur," and parades, which are then institutionalized in a tradition called "rolasan." The next process is internalization, where the Muslim community of Tegal Regency preserves and passes it down.
