Abstract

The importance of problem-solving skills for students because help them think, grasp, apply what they know, and develop other mathematical skills. Therefore, in learning mathematics, problem-solving skills should be a top priority. This model is used as an active and enjoyable learning model, but still a consistent learning objective. The purpose of this study is to provide an understanding of how learning models make a match affect students' ability to solve problems. This research is a quantitative study with design one group retest-posttest. The sample population of this initiative consisted of 20 V-grade students. Data analysis results showed that the average pretest before treatment was 62 and the average posttest after treatment was 82.65. Overall, the students' problem-solving skills improved on pretest and posttest issue, with an average presentation of 46%. Therefore, student's problem solving ability improved after application the "make a match" learning model.

Abstract

Masa remaja adalah masa dimana seseorang mencari jati diri. Masa ini merupakan fase awal dimana seorang manusia membangun kesehatan mental secara sadar agar menuju dewasa dapat beperilaku secara positif tanpa adanya gangguan psikis dan terganggunya kesehatan mental. Wujud peran serta remaja dalam membangun kesehatan mental menjadi landasan yang sangat penting agar dapat mengendalikan diri dan menahan hawa nafsu. Sebagai wujud implementasi nyata, mahasiswa Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) sedang melaksanakan program kerja khusus dalam penanganan gangguan kesehatan mental remaja di Desa Watugaluh, Kabupaten Jombang bekerja sama dengan Pemeritah Desa Watugaluh, Tim Kesehatan Desa Watugaluh, Praktisi Psikologi, dan Dosen. Implementasi nyata ini sebagai wujud rangakain program kerja mahasiswa Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) Mandiri Universitas Hasyim Asyari Tebuireng Jombang dalam mengatasi masalah terkait kesehatan mental. Tujuan diadakannya kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat adalah mengatasi kesehatan mental remaja desa Watugaluh melalui peran psikologi pendidikan. adapun metode pelaksanaan Pengabdian Masyarakat meliputi: 1) survei dan observasi, 2) penyuluhan dan sharing keilmuan, dan 3) evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat memiliki dampak yang positif dalam memberikan wawasan dan strategi solusi terhadap pemecahan masalah gangguan kesehatan mental di Desa Watugaluh Kabupaten Jombang. Simpulan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah sumbangsih ilmu yang nyata tentang pentingnya menjaga kesehatan mental bagi anak di usia remaja agar kelak masa depannya menjadi gemilang dan memiliki motivasi hidup tinggi.

Abstract

Kurangnya pemahaman tentang Komunitas Belajar, khususnya bagaimana membangun dan mengoptimalkan komunitas belajar di sekolah SDN Wringrejo IV menjadi salah satu tujuan dilaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan bagi guru-guru SDN Wringinrejo IV untuk dapat membangun budaya belajar melalui komunitas belajar dan peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik dan juga meningkatkan pemahaman tentang Komunitas Belajar terutama tentang cara membangun dan mengoptimalkan Komunitas Belajar untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru terutama terkait dengan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Metode PkM ini ialah pelatihan lokakarya digunakan untuk membantu membangun komunitas belajar dan mengoptimalkannya di sekolah mitra. Tujuan dari metode ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dengan berbagi informasi dan berdiskusi tentang hasil belajar. Dengan menerapkan PKM, mitra belajar tahu tentang pentingnya Komunitas Belajar di sekolah, terutama tentang bagaimana membangun dan optimalisasi Komunitas Belajar di sekolah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dan budaya belajar di sekolah, dengan 100% kehadiran peserta dan 87% pemahaman materi.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine how effective the Magic Box media is using the contextual learning model for science and science learning outcomes in class IV elementary school. Quantitative research is the type of research used. By using a pre-experimental design, one group pretest and post-test. From the results of the t test calculation with dk = 18, sig level 5%, the ttable value = 1,734 is obtained, from the t test results the tcount = 16,950 is obtained. The tcount>ttable value is 16,950 > 1,734, so it can be interpreted that HO is rejected and Ha is accepted. The results obtained from the completeness test average pretest 56.0 and posttest 90.5. It can be concluded that the Magic Box media with a contextual learning model approach is effective on science and science learning outcomes regarding body parts of plants in class IV elementary school. Therefore, fourth grade elementary school students can use Magic Box media to improve their high-level thinking abilities. Keywords: Implementation, Effectiveness, Magic Box, Learning Results.

Abstract

This study aims to find out in general the process of inculcating morals in elementary school age children in the Kriyan localization area, Ngadiluwih, Kediri. The type of research used is a qualitative study with a case study research design. The sample in this study was six resource persons consisting of three parents and three students. Research data were collected through interviews, observation, and document analysis. Based on the results of study, it is shown that parents instill moral values ​​in their children from the age of 5-10 years with simple activities such as studying hard, not lying, not swearing, dressing neatly, speaking well, and learning to respect each other. By inculcating morals from elementary school age, it will make children easy to be accepted in society.

Abstract

Organisasi menjadi wahana dalam mengembangkan aspek pendidikan karakter seperti bernalar kritis. Bernalar kritis meliputi kemampuan dalam menganalisis, mengevaluasi, dan menyimpulkan informasi secara obyektif dengan menggunakan logika dan penalaran yang tepat. Di Universitas Nusantara PGRI Kediri terdapat organisasi yaitu BEM FKIP yang di dalamnya di latar belakangi dengan peran mahasiswa-mahasiswa aktivis berbasis keguruan. Tujuan dari pelaksanaan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat yaitu memberikan wawasan tentang manajemen kepemimpinan bagi anggota organisasi BEM FKIP dalam mengembangkan karakter dan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Metode Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat meliputi analisis situasi mitra, penyampaian materi, praktik bernalar kritis, sesi tanya jawab, evaluasi, dan pendekatan berbasis proyek. Adapun peserta dalam kegiatan pelatihan ini berjumlah lima puluh mahasiswa yang terdiri dari tujuh program studi berbeda di lingkungan Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan. Hasil dari kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat memberikan dampak positif bagi mahasiswa yang mengikuti acara pelatihan dalam meningkatkan wawasan dan pengetahuannya tentang manajemen kepemimpinan, manajemen keorganisasian, dan tata kelola administrasi organisasi. Simpulan dari kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat yakni seluruh rangkaian kegiatan diikuti oleh seluruh mahasiswa BEM Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Se-Karisidenan Kediri yang setidaknya dapat memberikan dampak positif dalam menciptakan mahasiswa yang berkarakter nalar kritis.

Abstract

The rise of radicalism and terrorism issues is partly due to the lack of support for character education in school educational institutions. The role of character education in the elementary school environment is very important, especially in building religious character. Religious character is one of the characters that guide students towards a generation with a high spiritual attitude. The achievement indicators are measured through a rubric for assessing attitudes and character periodically when students participate in daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly activities. Religious character can be realized through interesting activity programs. The purpose of this study is to describe religious character education at Paramadina Kediri Modern Elementary School. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study research design. The subjects in this study consisted of the Principal and Teachers. The results of the study describe several religious-based educational programs including congregational Dhuha Prayer, Morning Prayer Reading, Istighosah, Khotmil Al-Qur'an, Maqbaroh Pilgrimage, Yasin & Tahlil, Memorization of Short Surahs, Sholawat & Al-Banjari Art, Commemoration of Islamic Holidays, and Tadabur Alam. All of these programs are implemented in line with the school's curriculum and vision and mission. Through the existing activity program, it is hoped that it will become a habituation in order to improve the religious character of students at Paramadina Kediri Modern Elementary School.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Google Earth based Discovery Learning model on sixth-grade elementary school students’ understanding of the concept of Indonesia’s geographic conditions. The background of this research is based on the fact that geography learning is still predominantly theoretical and provides limited contextual learning experiences, causing students to often have difficulty understanding abstract concepts. The use of Google Earth in the Discovery Learning model is expected to present geographic objects and phenomena visually, interactively, and engagingly, thereby improving students’ conceptual understanding. The research method used was a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design of the pretest–posttest control group type. The research instrument was a concept understanding test that had been validated by experts. The data were analyzed using tests of normality, homogeneity, and a t-test. The results of the independent samples t-test analysis showed a significance value (2-tailed) of < 0.001, indicating a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class. The average improvement in conceptual understanding of students in the experimental class reached 73.55%, which was higher than that of the control class. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of Google Earth–based Discovery Learning is effective as a geographical learning innovation to improve elementary school students’ conceptual understanding.

Abstract

This study investigates the construction of students’ learning motivation through the use of Augmented Reality (AR) within the framework of Jean Piaget’s constructivist theory in a fifth-grade classroom at SDN Sidokerto 1. The research addresses the limited student engagement and low motivation commonly found in teacher-centered instructional practices, particularly in science learning involving abstract concepts such as food chains. A mixed methods approach with a sequential explanatory design was employed, combining quantitative analysis of pre-test and post-test motivation scores with qualitative interpretation of students’ learning behaviors. The quantitative data were obtained from 20 students using a validated Likert-scale questionnaire, and analyzed using descriptive statistics, Shapiro–Wilk normality test, and paired sample t-test. The results revealed a significant increase in the mean motivation score from 61.68 (pre-test) to 80.15 (post-test), with a gain of 18.47 points. The t-test indicated a statistically significant difference (p < 0.05), and the effect size analysis showed that AR contributed 29% to the improvement of learning motivation, categorized as a moderate effect. Qualitative findings supported these results, indicating increased student engagement, curiosity, and participation during AR-based learning. From a constructivist perspective, the improvement in motivation is explained through the processes of assimilation and accommodation, facilitated by interactive and concrete learning experiences provided by AR. The findings suggest that AR is not merely a technological tool, but a pedagogical medium that supports cognitive construction and enhances intrinsic motivation. Therefore, the integration of AR, aligned with students’ cognitive development, can create meaningful and engaging learning experiences that significantly improve students’ learning motivation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bentuk kenakalan siswa kelas V serta implikasinya terhadap proses pembelajaran di SDN 1 Banaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 35 siswa, dengan 10 siswa dipilih sebagai partisipan utama melalui teknik purposive sampling serta 3 guru sebagai informan pendukung. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan wawancara semi-terstruktur, kemudian dianalisis secara tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kenakalan siswa terbagi ke dalam tiga kategori utama, yaitu kenakalan verbal, kenakalan fisik ringan, dan kenakalan akademik, dengan kenakalan verbal sebagai bentuk yang paling dominan. Perilaku tersebut berdampak pada terganggunya konsentrasi belajar, menurunnya efektivitas penyampaian materi, serta melemahnya keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran. Faktor penyebab kenakalan dipengaruhi oleh kombinasi faktor internal, seperti kejenuhan dan kesulitan memahami materi, serta faktor eksternal, seperti pengaruh teman sebaya dan dinamika kelas. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi dalam memperkaya pemahaman mengenai pola kenakalan siswa sekolah dasar dan implikasinya terhadap kualitas proses pembelajaran.
