Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate how educators can help students deal with the impact of technology in the digital age by enhancing their ethics and integrity. Principals and instructors are interviewed as part of a case study approach to qualitative research. According to the study's findings, instructors are crucial in fostering a positive learning environment and establishing moral and ethical principles in their students by maintaining order and student discipline. However, there are barriers such students' access to unrestricted digital use and a lack of parental support. It is anticipated that this study will deepen our understanding of the significance of instructors' roles in forming students' moral character in the digital age, as well as provide recommendations for effective strategies to improve students' ethics and integrity.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop an environment-based science textbook and to examine its relevance in reinforcing students’ environmental care character. This study aimed to contribute to the development of primary education, particularly in teaching the basic concepts of science in the PGSD Study Program. The development referred to Thiagarajan’s 4-D model (1974). Data were obtained from material analysis and validated by experts. A trial was then conducted with PGSD students at Hasyim Asy’ari University to produce a high-quality environment-based science textbook. Based on descriptive analysis, the textbook development process was carried out in accordance with the prescribed stages. Inferential statistics were analyzed using SPSS 26.0, including the F-test and t-test. The F-test assuming two similar variances yielded a score of 3.671 with p = 0.068, indicating no significant difference between the variances (p > 0.05). The t-test assuming equal variances yielded a score of 4.522 with p = 0.000, showing a significant difference in learning outcomes between students using the developed textbook and those using regular textbooks (p < 0.05). In conclusion, the developed environment-based science textbook was feasible and significantly improved students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of student worksheets based on Project-Based Learning (PjBL) integrated with the STEM approach in the context of mathematical aquaponics for an Ordinary Differential Equations course. The research employed a mixed-methods design using the ADDIE development model, with a quantitative approach through pretest and posttest evaluations and a qualitative approach through observations and a student response questionnaire. Expert validation results indicate that the developed worksheets achieved a high level of validity in terms of content, structure, and language. The implementation of the worksheets involved 10 fourth-semester students of the Mathematics Education program at Hasyim Asy’ari University. Statistical test results show a significant improvement in student learning outcomes after using the STEM-PjBL-based worksheets, with a significance value more than 0.05. Additionally, 88.89% of students gave positive responses to the worksheets, particularly in the aspects of learning motivation, active engagement, and contextual understanding of concepts. These findings indicate that the integration of STEM with PjBL in worksheets within the aquaponic context is effective in improving learning outcomes, critical thinking skills, and student engagement in meaningful mathematics learning.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability to calculate the addition of grade II elementary school students due to mathematics learning that is still abstract and lacks the use of concrete media. This study aims to determine the ability to calculate the addition of students before and after the implementation of the use of puzzle media and to determine the effect of the use of puzzle media on the ability to calculate the addition of grade II students of SDN Bulurejo 1 Jombang. The research method used is quantitative research with a pre-experimental method using a one group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were 29 grade II students. The data collection technique used a test of the ability to calculate the addition, while data analysis was carried out through the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and hypothesis testing using the Paired Sample t-test. The results showed an average pretest score of 68.27 with a percentage of completion of 41.37%, while the average posttest score increased to 89.65 with a percentage of completion of 100%. The results of the Paired Sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 (sig. < 0.05). Based on these results, it can be concluded that the use of puzzle media has a significant effect on the addition calculation abilities of second-grade students at SDN Bulurejo 1 Jombang.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of the addition board media in improving second-grade students’ understanding of vertical addition concepts at SDN Cukir 1 Jombang. The study employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 24 second-grade students. Data were collected through pretest and posttest instruments and analyzed using descriptive statistics and paired sample t-test. The results indicated a significant improvement in students’ conceptual understanding after the implementation of the addition board media. The average posttest score was higher than the pretest score, and the significance value was less than 0.05, indicating a statistically significant difference. The findings confirm that the use of concrete manipulative media effectively supports students in understanding place value and carrying procedures in vertical addition. This study implies that concrete learning media are essential in primary mathematics instruction to promote meaningful learning experiences aligned with students’ cognitive development stage.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas penggunaan media game kuis interaktif dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa kelas II pada materi operasi hitung di sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif yang diperkuat dengan data kuantitatif melalui angket respon siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan minat belajar yang cukup signifikan, yang terlihat dari meningkatnya antusiasme, keterlibatan aktif, serta partisipasi siswa selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Berdasarkan hasil angket, tingkat kepraktisan media mencapai lebih dari 80% dan termasuk dalam kategori sangat praktis, sehingga menunjukkan bahwa media tersebut mudah digunakan dan menarik bagi siswa. Data observasi juga menunjukkan bahwa sekitar 75–85% siswa aktif dalam menjawab pertanyaan, mengikuti kuis, serta terlibat dalam diskusi setelah pembelajaran. Selain itu, hasil wawancara mengungkapkan bahwa siswa merasa lebih senang, termotivasi, dan tidak mudah bosan saat menggunakan media game kuis interaktif. Dari sisi guru, media ini dinilai mampu menciptakan suasana kelas yang lebih interaktif, kompetitif secara sehat, dan mendukung proses belajar yang kondusif. Dengan demikian, temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media game kuis interaktif efektif dalam memenuhi kebutuhan motivasi belajar siswa, terutama dalam aspek keterlibatan dan kesenangan belajar. Oleh karena itu, media ini layak dijadikan sebagai alternatif strategi pembelajaran inovatif pada materi operasi hitung di sekolah dasar serta berpotensi meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Project-Based Learning model on students` learning outcomes in the spatial framework material for sixth-grade of SD Negeri Diwek 1. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a One- Group Pretest-Posttest design. The participants consisted of 34 students selected through total sampling. Data were collected using learning outcomes tests administered before and after the implementation of the Project-Based Learning model. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality tests (Shapiro-Wilk), paired sample t-test, and effect size analysis. The results showed that the average pretest score was 48.18, while the average posttest score increased to 68.35. The paired sample t-test results indicated a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), which means that there was a significant difference between students` learning outcomes before and after the implementation of the PjBL model. Furthermore, the effect size value obtained was 1.27, which falls into the large category. These findings indicate that the Project-Based Learning model has a strong positive influence on improving students` mathematics learning outcomes, particularly in spatial framework material. Therefore, the Project-Based Learning model can be considered an effective learning strategy to enhance students understanding and engagement in mathematics learning at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Riset ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap keterampilan mahasiswa PGSD dalam mengajar siswa sekolah dasar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one group pretest posttest. Populasi pada riset ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa semester IV Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar. Teknik yang digunakan untuk pengambilan sampel adalah purposive sampling yaitu mahasiswa semester IV-B. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar penilaian kemampuan dasar mengajar. Tujuan dari riset ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap keterampilan mahasiswa dalam mengajar. Analisis data menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perolehan nilai sig 0.000 < 0.05. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap keterampilan mengajar mahasiswa PGSD Universitas Hasyim Asy’ari Tebuireng Jombang.

Abstract

Masalah dalam pendidikan saat ini adalah tingkat literasi di Indonesia yang masih tergolong rendah hal itu di nyatakan dari hasil analisis UNESCO literasi di Indonesia masih 0,001%, sehingga perlu adanya upaya-upaya peningkatan yang harus di lakukan untuk meningkatkan literasi di Indonesia. Di SDN Kepanjen 2 Jombang telah mengupayakan dengan berbagai kegiatan penunjang untuk meningkatkan literasi, terutama pada konteks minat baca dan kreativitas peserta didik, kegiatan di mulai dari pojok baca, membaca 15 menit dll, serta adanya fasilitas penunjang seperti adanya perpustakaan dan yang baru di gagas yaitu adanya program mading kelas, dengan adanya mading akan dapat membantu meningkatkan minat baca dan kreativitas peserta didik. Pada penelitian pengaruh penggunaan mading terhadap minat baca dan kreativitas di ambil di kelas IV sebanyak 28 peserta didik dengan menggunakan angket. Metode pada penelitian menggunakan kuantitatif jenis ex post facto analisis manova. Data di pindah pada platfrom spss 25. Data yang di hasilkan bersifat valid dan normal sehingga dapat di distribusikan. kemudian dilakukan data dapat uji menggunakan analisis multivariate. Signifikasi yang di hasilkan di katakan berpengaruh jika nilai sig kurang dari 0,05. Dan pada penelitian ini menghasilkan sig sebesar 0,002 yang bearti memiliki pengaruh. pengaruh yang di dapat cukup baik pada penggunaan mading terhadap minat baca dan kreativitas peserta didik.
