Abstract

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze the effect of behavioral bias on investment decisions of undergraduate students in Indonesia in the context of higher education with risk perception as a mediating variable and financial literacy as a moderating variable as a basis for strengthening the behavioral-based financial literacy curriculum in universities, as well as preparing students to become rational investors. Method: The study used a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 385 undergraduate students in Indonesia who are active individual investors and registered with the Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia (KSEI). The structural model analysis was conducted using SmartPLS 4, while the moderated mediation test was performed using PROCESS Model 59 in SPSS. Results: The study's results indicate that behavioral bias has a significant adverse effect on risk perception, which in turn hurts the investment decisions of students in Indonesia. Financial literacy is proven to act as an important moderating variable. It can weaken the adverse effect of behavioral bias on risk perception and change the impact of risk perception on investment decisions to be positive at high levels of financial literacy. In addition, risk perception mediates the relationship between behavioral bias and investment decisions, especially at moderate levels of financial literacy. Novelty: The findings underscore the importance of integrating behavioral aspects in developing financial literacy curricula in higher education to equip students with the cognitive and affective competencies needed for rational investment decision-making. This study contributes to the behavioral finance literature and offers practical and theoretical contributions for educators and policymakers in designing contextual and behavioral-based financial literacy education for students.

Abstract

Abstract. This community service project addresses the critical issue of organic waste accumulation in Sukamiskin Village, Bandung, Indonesia, specifically targeting orange peel waste, which constitutes a significant portion of household refuse. The initiative empowered members of the PKK (Family Welfare Movement) RW 01 group through a structured training program to produce eco-enzyme, a valuable fermented liquid derived from organic waste. The primary goal was to equip 20 PKK members with the technical skills and economic knowledge to transform waste into a marketable, environmentally friendly product. The methodology employed a three-stage process: identification and socialization of the problem and solution, hands-on training in eco-enzyme production, and post-training monitoring and evaluation. A pretest/post-test design using SPSS 22 software confirmed a statistically significant increase in participants' knowledge (p < 0.001). Post-intervention, participants demonstrated practical competence in producing high-quality eco-enzyme, leading to a measurable reduction in household organic waste and the emergence of new micro-enterprises. This project demonstrated that empowering women's groups like the PKK is a highly effective strategy for tackling urban waste management challenges while fostering sustainable economic development at the grassroots level.

Abstract

This research examines how dividend policy influences stock price movements of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BBRI) during the 2024 fiscal year. The study applies a quantitative method using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to analyze trading behavior and market sentiment around the ex-dividend period. The findings show that dividend policy has a positive and significant relationship with stock prices, mainly driven by trading activity rather than market sentiment. The model demonstrates strong explanatory power in describing stock performance during the observation period. These results support the Signaling Theory and Bird in Hand Theory, suggesting that a stable and transparent dividend policy reflects corporate strength and credibility. Consequently, dividends serve as an important communication tool that enhances investor confidence and maintains positive market perceptions toward state-owned banks such as BBRI. Abstract

This study aims to find evidence whether Macroeconomic Conditions can affect the Performanceof Protected Mutual Funds in Indonesia which is Moderated Age and Size of Mutual Funds forthe period January 2018 – August 2023. The motivation for this study comes from identifying therelationship between macroeconomic conditions and mutual fund performance simultaneously isvery important because it has significant implications in efforts to improve mutual fundperformance against macroeconomic conditions. However, there are limitations to empiricalstudies on the impact of these mutual funds because the data year series is limited to only a fewyears. Using the Random Effect Model (REM) panel regression method approach, the analysisperiod from January 2018 to August 2023 panel data on macroeconomics and mutual funds, itwas found that macroeconomic variables of the rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar (NT)had a significant influence on the performance of the highest mutual funds measured by the sharperatio. Meanwhile, macroeconomic variables that do not have a significant influence on theperformance of protected mutual funds are interest rate (SBI) and inflation (INF) variables. Thevariable age and size of mutual funds have a significant influence on the performance of protectedmutual funds. In addition to these independent variables, this study also used moderator /moderating variables. Moderator variables to see the interaction relationship between moderatorvariables and predictor variables (independent). Moderator variables are variables that canstrengthen or weaken the relationship between independent and dependent variables. Themoderator variables of this study are age and size of mutual funds
