Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze and describe how the implementation of Islamic theological values ​​in the formation of student character. This study was conducted at the Manggala Maruyung Senior High School (SMA) Bandung with qualitative case study research in the field. Data sources in this study include observation, documentation, interviews and supplemented with primary data sources and secondary data sources from various reliable references such as scientific journals, books, and other sources that support the study. Data analysis in this study includes steps such as data collection, data presentation, data reduction, and deduction of conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of Islamic theological values ​​in the curriculum, both the main curriculum and extracurricular, has a positive impact on the formation of good character of students, especially the religious character of students. As in the Manggala Maruyung Senior High School (SMA) Bandung, the Islamic Theology used in the curriculum is based on the theology of Ahlus-As-Sunnah wal Jama'ah with the characteristics of Islamic boarding schools, namely the Tijan ad-Darori book, the Safinah book, the al-banin akhlak book. The book is studied using a classical system as the method in Islamic Boarding Schools, namely using an accent with the meaning of Sundanese pegon and introducing Islamic theology broadly and clearly with the aim of forming the character of students who have strong beliefs and are close to their God wherever and whenever and have a religious personality.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of monotheism education carried out in PAUD KB Al Ihsan Tasikamlaya as a form of instilling monotheism values ​​for early childhood. The approach used in this study is descriptive qualitative and the methods used to collect data in this study are observation, interview, and documentation methods. The results of this study are that in implementing the values ​​of monotheism education, it can be done by holding the following activities: Habituation of Dhuha Prayer together, Habituation of reading Asma` Al Husna before learning, Habituation of reciting shalawat, Memorizing selected letters and Commemorating Islamic holidays. Some obstacles faced in implementing the values ​​of monotheism education in PAUD KB Al Ihsan Tasikmalaya are two factors, namely Internal factors such as reduced student interest in learning, Different levels of student ability and Different levels of student learning diligence. External factors such as inadequate school facilities such as teaching aids that are not available at school so that teachers have a little difficulty in explaining learning materials.

Abstract

Berdzikir (mengingat Allah) dan berpikir (refleksi atau pemikiran rasional) adalah konsep penting dalam pendidikan Islam yang membentuk karakter dan perkembangan intelektual seseorang. Untuk mendekatkan diri kepada Allah, meningkatkan pengetahuan spiritual, dan memperkuat hubungan dengan-Nya, orang melakukan dzikir dengan mengulang nama-nama Allah atau doa-doa tertentu. Sebaliknya, berpikir Islam mengacu pada proses yang diilhami oleh Al-Quran dan Hadis untuk berpikir kritis, menganalisis, dan membuat keputusan berdasarkan pengetahuan dan hikmah. Keduanya saling melengkapi dalam membentuk kepribadian yang seimbang antara aspek intelektual dan spiritual. Pendidikan Islam idealnya menggabungkan kedua ide ini untuk mendidik manusia yang tidak hanya taat secara ritualistik tetapi juga memiliki kemampuan untuk berpikir kritis dan bijak saat menghadapi tantangan hidup. Akibatnya, kombinasi berdzikir dan berpikir dapat menghasilkan insan kamil, atau manusia sempurna, yang berakhlak mulia, memiliki pengetahuan yang luas, dan mampu berkontribusi positif kepada masyarakat.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of pesantren haul traditions on the income growth of local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), with a case focus on Pesantren Gentur in Cianjur Regency, Indonesia. The haul tradition is viewed not only as a religious activity but also as a socio-economic phenomenon that has a significant impact on the surrounding community. A quantitative approach with an explanatory design was employed. Primary data were collected through surveys and interviews with 111 MSME actors around Pesantren Gentur and analyzed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS software. The results reveal that the pesantren haul tradition has a positive and significant effect on MSME income growth, with a path coefficient of β = 0.843, T-statistic = 27.710, and p < 0.001. The structural model explains 71% of the variance in MSME income growth with a substantial effect size (f² = 2.451) and strong predictive relevance (Q² = 0.593). These findings confirm that pesantren haul functions not only as a spiritual event but also as a local economic driver. The implications suggest that better management of haul traditions is essential to optimize economic benefits for MSMEs without diminishing their religious values. Local governments and pesantren managers are expected to synergize in supporting infrastructure, event governance, and MSME empowerment. Future studies are recommended to expand the scope to pesantren in other regions and to integrate variables such as MSME digitalization to enrich the analysis of religious tradition-based economic development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran pondok pesantren dalam menghadapi tantangan era globalisasi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi pustaka atau yang sering disebut studi literatur. Data primer diperoleh dari berbagai jurnal ilmiah yang erat sekali kaitannya dengan peran pondok pesantren dalam menghadapi tantangan era globalisasi. Temuan penting artikel ini menunjukkan bahwa peran adalah suatu aspek yang sangat dinamis. Peran pondok pesantren sangat luas meliputi peran sebagai lembaga pendidikan, lembaga sosial, lembaga keagamaan, lembaga sosial, hingga lembaga ekonomi. dalam menghadapi tantangan era globalisasi, pesantren dituntut untuk terus mempertahankan esensinya, disertai mengembangkan eksistensinya dengan berbagai inovasi. Dalam menghadapi berbagai tantangan era globalisasi, pondok pesantren memiliki modal sosial yang meliputi modal sosial kyai, modal sosial santri, modal sosial ustadz ustadzah, dan modal sosial segenap sivitas pesantren. Jika modal sosial tersebut dioptimalkan, maka pesantren dapat mengoptimalkan perannya di tengah berbagai tantangan zaman yang sedang bahkan akan dihadapi selanjutnya.

Abstract

Dalam pendidikan Islam, disyaratkan adanya suatu lingkungan pendidikan agar tercapainya tujuan pendidikan. Terdapat tiga lingkungan pendidikan utama, yaitu keluarga, sekolah, dan masyarakat. Masjid merupakan salah satu sarana pendidikan nonformal bagi masyarakat Islam. Kehadirian berbagai bentuk pendidikan non formal berbasis masjid pada konteks kekinian terus saja bermunculan, dari pendidikan usia dini (pra MDTA/ Pra TPQ), hingga pendidikan untuk manula (majelis taklim). Kondisi ini tentu saja menjadi suatu gairah baru dalam pendidikan Islam dalam lembaga-lembaga non formal, sebagai salah upaya untuk merealisasikan hadis nabi tentang kewajiban menuntut ilmu dari mulai ayunan sampai liang lahat. Jika ditela’ah betul hadis ini memberikan kewajiban untuk umat melaksanakan. Jika dalam pendidikan formal ada batas-batas umur yang ditetapkan sesuai dengan jenjangnya, serta juga membutuhkan biaya yang banyak, maka dengan adanya pendidikan non formal berbasis masjid menjadi suatu alternatif baru bagi umat ini melaksanakan hadis rasul tersebut. Maka dengan gairah munculnya berbagai lembaga pendidikan non formal berbasis masjid hendaknya dapat menjadi alternatif dalam pengembangan pendidikan Islam kedepannya.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate teachers' efforts in enhancing students' memorization of the Qur'an at Rabbani Bandung Elementary School. The type of research conducted is qualitative research with a case study approach, where data collection is carried out using observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The findings reveal that teachers' efforts in improving students' Qur'an memorization at Rabbani Bandung Elementary School include grouping students based on their memorization abilities, managing the time for Tahfidz Program implementation, employing the Talaqqi method, and providing motivation for Qur'an memorization. In this study, it can be concluded that the teachers at Rabbani Elementary School in Bandung have implemented several effective efforts to enhance students' memorization of the Qur'an. Key efforts include grouping students according to their memorization abilities, effective time management, using the Talaqqi method, conducting muroja'ah, and offering motivation. This approach helps create a supportive learning environment to achieve the set memorization targets, emphasizing comprehension and appreciation of the Qur'an while fostering strong intention and motivation among students.

Abstract

Learning the book Al-Fiyah Ibn Malik in Islamic boarding schools is one of the important aspects of Islamic religious education in Indonesia. This book, written by Ibn Malik, contains the basic rules of Arabic, especially in the fields of nahwu (grammar) and sharf (the science of word changes). In the context of Islamic boarding school education, learning Al-Fiyah not only focuses on mastering Arabic theory, but also becomes a means to deepen religious texts in Arabic, such as the Qur'an and Hadith. Therefore, the implementation of learning al-Fiyah in Islamic boarding schools has a very strategic role in improving religious understanding and Arabic language skills of students. This research is a combination of library research and field research. Learning Al-Fiyah Ibn Malik at the Hikmatul Ulum AsySyari'Fuddin Islamic Boarding School in Tasikmalaya City uses two methods, namely sorogan and bandongan. The obstacles faced during the learning process are: 1) difficulty in memorizing verses of poetry; 2) Time constraints; 3) Differences in student ability levels. Some of these obstacles are overcome with an individual approach and gradual teaching.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) are Islamic educational institutions that have played a crucial role in the history of the Indonesian nation, particularly in shaping a generation with morals, knowledge, and an active role in social life. One such boarding school that has experienced significant development is the Mathla'ul Huda Islamic Boarding School in Pasirjambu, established in 1988. This study aims to describe the history, educational system, institutional development, and social role of the Mathla'ul Huda Islamic Boarding School. The research method used a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis through document study, observation, and interviews. The results show that Mathla'ul Huda integrates the Salafiyah education system with formal schools, develops its institutions through the Muara Madani Foundation, expands its facilities and infrastructure, and makes a significant social contribution to the community. These findings confirm that Islamic boarding schools are able to adapt to the demands of the times without losing their traditional identity. This study has implications for the need to strengthen Islamic boarding school-based education policies as one of the pillars of national development.
