Abstract

Culinary SMEs in Makassar have significant economic potential, yet many struggle to adapt to digital marketing due to low digital literacy, limited content creation skills, and the absence of content convergence strategies. A needs assessment involving 50 SMEs confirmed these challenges and underscored the urgency of targeted digital capacity building. This program applied the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) approach to ensure active involvement of participants in identifying needs, designing solutions, implementing training, and evaluating outcomes. Activities included workshops on social media management, creative content production, and integrated content distribution using CapCut, Canva, and Meta Business Suite. The program led to notable improvements: 85% of participants gained a better understanding of social media algorithms, 80% mastered Meta Business Suite for content convergence, and engagement rates increased from 2% to 5%. Promotional efficiency improved by 30%, accompanied by a 25% rise in digital sales conversion. PRA-based digital literacy training effectively strengthened the promotional capacity and competitiveness of culinary SMEs in the digital ecosystem. The program also contributed to the achievement of university Key Performance Indicators (IKU) through community engagement and academic output.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the business development carried out by employees and owners of Kaku Food, a business development strategy that Kaku Food uses through a marketing mix. The type of research used is qualitative descriptive, which is an analysis used by the SWOT analysis method. To achieve the research objectives, data collection techniques were used, namely observation, interviews, and documentation with six people as informants from the owners, employees, and customers of Kaku Food. The validity checking of data is carried out using source triangulation techniques.  Data analysis techniques use data collection, data condensation, data presentation and conclusions. The results showed that the business development strategy that can be applied by Kaku Food is a diversification strategy. By carrying out a diversification strategy, Kaku Food can improve product quality or add new variants by using other raw materials so that they are not tied to just one raw material. The supporting factors of kaku food are having varied products, easily accessible store locations, maximum promotion through interesting content on social media, many branches, and the availability of raw materials that are easily accessible. While the inhibiting factor of rigid food is that there are no branches outside the city of Makassar, the price is classified as expensive when compared to similar products, product packaging that is easily torn, and parking space that is less spacious makes 4-wheeled vehicles forced to park on the shoulder of the road.

Abstract

Using bibliometric methods, this study aims to evaluate the role of competition policy as a strategic tool in the development of the industry in Indonesia. This study maps 50 scientific articles from the Scopus and Google Scholar databases (period 2015–2025) based on three modes of analysis: network visualization, visualization density, and visualization overlay. The network visualization results show that four main interconnected clusters have formed, with the financial cluster (loans, banks, and credit) as the strongest network center. The density map shows a significant lack of research on effectiveness, renewable energy, and governance. The visualization overlay shows a shift in trends from conventional market structure issues to policy implementation, policy interaction, and the role of policymakers. This study found that industrial development strategies in Indonesia require synergy between competition policy and industrial policy. This is known as the competition-industry policy relationship. One of the main recommendations is the importance of creating a formal coordination mechanism between the KPPU and the technical departments, as well as prioritizing the quantitative measurement of government impact in important sectors such as renewable energy.
