Abstract

The pandemic has caused difficulties for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in managing their finances, as all activities have been temporarily halted for health recovery. As a result, MSMEs have experienced losses in sales. One of the ways to ensure continuous sales and attract more buyers is by utilizing digital marketing. There are various options available in digital marketing, and one of them is leveraging social media platforms. MSME players have started to venture into digital marketing to increase their sales volume. However, previous research has shown that it has been only partially effective despite utilizing social media for sales facilitation. To address this issue, a Systematic Literature Review was conducted to document and review all articles related to enhancing social media utilization as a digital marketing tool to facilitate sales for MSMEs. A total of 20 nationally and internationally accredited journal articles were accessed from DOAJ, Google Scholar, and lens.org. The findings of the literature review study analyzed these 20 research articles that suspected social media as a digital marketing strategy to facilitate sales for MSMEs.

The population consists of all employees at the Grand Whiz Trawas Hotel, totalling 93 individuals, with sample determination using a saturated sampling technique where all population members are used as samples. Data collection is conducted using a Likert scale. The research will be analyzed using Partial Least Squares (PLS) and a purposive sampling approach. Results managerial implications show that quality of life, training, and work motivation significantly influence employee performance. Work motivation also acts as a mediating variable in the model. These findings prove that improving employee performance at the Grand Whiz Trawas Hotel enhances quality of life, training, and work motivation. Academically, this model can serve as a reference for further research by adding other variables such as organizational development and talent management. Abstract

Technological developments have an impact on increasing the level of competition between companies in acquiring and retaining customers. With this competition, companies must maximise efforts to reach consumers and understand customer service needs so that the business can continue to survive and experience development. In this effort, a segmentation analysis was carried out on marketplace accounts and expedition services commonly used by consumers to make transactions. The first step is to correct the dataset obtained to avoid errors in the final results. Next, data processing was done using rapidminer with the k-means clustering and decision tree methods. The research results show that k-means clustering achieved the lowest Davies Bouldin Index (DBI) accuracy, namely -0.943 in cluster_8. In the results of research using the decision tree method, accuracy results were obtained at 49.83%. The results obtained with the decision tree method cannot be said to be good because the results are below the 50% value; however, the decision tree method shows that a good cluster is cluster_7. In this case, better accuracy values can be achieved by using the k-means clustering method. This research can illustrate the importance of utilizing the k-means and decision tree algorithms in classifying sales data as a tool for optimizing marketing and service efforts.

Abstract

The situation caused by the pandemic has prompted every company to protect the safety of its employees. The energy/electricity industry cluster continues to operate despite the need for social restrictions in several locations, including the East Java power plant. This study identifies the risks of human activities at power plants throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. This study used quantitative data information gleaned from interviews, observations, and questionnaires. This research a technique that combines Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA). Of the 17 activities carried out in the risk analysis using the FMEA method, the activities that show the five locations with the highest RPN scores are the workshop, warehouse, administration building, Coal Handling Control Building [CHCB], and employee training. We will integrate this analysis with the risk analysis that has been prepared previously by the applicable administrative regulations. Human resource risk management is concerned with enhancing productivity among workers by lowering days ignored because of a lack of jobs. The results can serve as recommendations for evaluating COVID-19 risk management and preventive measures in power generation companies.

Abstract

General Background: The rapid advancement of technology has significantly impacted consumer purchasing decisions, particularly in selecting smartphones. Consumers often consider factors like brand image, price perception, and product quality when choosing products. Specific Background: Among the vast range of smartphone options available, iPhone is a prominent choice, but the specific factors driving consumer interest in iPhone products, particularly in Sidoarjo, remain underexplored. Knowledge Gap: While much research has focused on general smartphone buying behavior, limited attention has been given to the specific interplay between price perception, brand image, and product quality in influencing buying interest for iPhones in regional markets like Sidoarjo. Aims: This study aims to examine the impact of price perception, brand image, and product quality on consumer buying interest in iPhone products in Sidoarjo, using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and Partial Least Squares (PLS) analysis. Results: From a sample of 110 respondents, the findings reveal that price perception, brand image, and product quality all have a significant positive effect on consumer buying interest. The R-square value of 0.700 suggests that 70% of the variation in buying interest is explained by these three variables. Novelty: This study provides novel insights into the Sidoarjo market, demonstrating that these factors substantially drive iPhone purchase interest, with brand reputation and perceived product quality playing key roles. Implications: The results highlight the importance of enhancing brand image and maintaining high product quality to increase consumer interest, which could inform marketing strategies for smartphone brands targeting regional markets like Sidoarjo. Future studies could explore additional variables influencing buying interest, given that 30% of the variation remains unexplained by the current model.
