Abstract

Saringembat Village, Singgahan District, Tuban Regency, faces the challenge of high-calcium groundwater quality, which contributes to high stunting rates. To address this issue, the UPN "Veteran" East Java community service team developed a prototype for a semi-automatic, energy-efficient, and easy-to-operate plastic cup filling machine. The project, conducted in collaboration with the Mekar Sari Saringembat Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes), involved designing the machine, creating a logo and brand for the drinking water product, training in machine operation, and developing branding and marketing strategies. The results of the project include: (1) the availability of a low-power (180–250 Watt) cup filling machine prototype; (2) the registration of the drinking water logo and trademark design; (3) increased capacity of BUMDes human resources in operations, maintenance, and marketing; and (4) the establishment of a new village-based bottled water business unit. This program supports SDGs 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). Going forward, this innovation can be replicated in other areas facing similar challenges.

Abstract

Inclusive education aims to provide equal learning opportunities for students with special needs, including the use of a Learning Management System (LMS). The urgency of this research stems from the significant challenges in LMS accessibility, which pose major obstacles for students with disabilities. These challenges include difficult navigation, a lack of screen reader features, and unfriendly interface design. The objectives of the research are to identify and evaluate the factors of LMS acceptance by students with disabilities and provide recommendations. The method uses the Extended Technology Acceptance Model (E-TAM) to identify factors influencing the acceptance of LMS by students with disabilities, such as perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and external factors. The findings indicate that System Quality (SQ) has no significant influence on Attitude Toward Using (AT), with the estimated effect size being 1.4%. As an implication, the institutions need to provide easy-to-follow guides to help users with disabilities.

Abstract

The development of information technology has encouraged digitalization in various sectors, including hospitality. However, many hotels still manage room reservation data manually, making them prone to recording errors and slow service. This research aims to design a structured webbased hotel room reservation database system, using the Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD), Conceptual Data Model (CDM), and Physical Data Model (PDM) approaches. The method used follows the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) model, starting from requirements analysis, system design, to implementation. The design includes six main entities: Customer, Receptionist, Manager, Room, Reservation, and Payment, which are interconnected through clear relationships. CDM is used to conceptually simplify the data structure, while PDM describes technical aspects such as data types, primary keys, and foreign keys. With a systematic design, it is expected that this system can improve the efficiency of data management, minimize errors, and support hotel operations optimally.

Abstract

In the continuously evolving digital era, the demand for consultation services that are fast, easily accessible, and well-integrated is increasing. Many consultation services are still conducted conventionally, making communication processes, service searches, and data management time-consuming and less efficient. This study discusses the analysis and design of a digital-based consultant information system aimed at facilitating the consultation process between users and consultants in an effective and structured manner. The system is designed to assist users in searching for consultation services, making bookings, processing payments, and providing reviews of services they have utilized. The research methodology includes problem identification, data collection through observation and literature review, as well as system analysis and design using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) approach. The system design process involves the development of several models, including use case diagrams, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, class diagrams, and database design to support data management processes within the system. In addition, a user interface design is developed to ensure ease of use for both users and consultants. The results of this study are presented in the form of a digital-based consultation service information system design capable of supporting more effective service management processes. The proposed system is expected to improve service quality, accelerate consultation processes, simplify data management, and provide a better user experience for both users and consultants. Furthermore, the implementation of this digital system can support more structured data storage and minimize errors in information processing.

Abstract

Despite the widespread adoption of gamification in higher education, a significant research gap remains regarding the structural pathways through which specific game elements influence psychological drivers and academic success in hybrid settings. This study addresses this by evaluating the impact of badges, points, progress bars, and leaderboards on student motivation and outcomes using a quantitative approach with a sample of 437 university students in Indonesia. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), revealing that the model possesses strong internal consistency and convergent validity, with factor loadings between 0.760–0.956 and Average Variance Extracted (AVE) values ranging from 0.687 to 0.872. The structural analysis confirms that badges act as a primary driver for perceived playfulness and the effectiveness of other elements, while leaderboards and progress bars significantly enhance learning satisfaction; however, points showed no significant impact on playfulness. These findings, evidenced by significant path coefficients (β) and robust R² values, provide an analytical framework for educators to strategically design gamified ecosystems that prioritize high-impact behavioral metrics over simple reward systems, thereby optimizing engagement in blended learning environments.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of using the ZOOM application at the University of Informatics and Business Indonesia (UNIBI) using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) approach, which is often used by some researchers to examine user acceptance of technology. This research is quantitative using descriptive method. The data analysis technique was carried out using SEM (Structural Equation Model) with AMOS (Analysis of Moment Structure) software. The population in this study were UNIBI students. Determination of the sample is carried out by proportional sampling, which is a proportional sampling method based on sub-populations. The results of this study prove that only 4 hypotheses are accepted from a total of 6 hypotheses proposed. The following is the percentage of the influence of each variable: a) Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU) is 28%, b) Perceived Usefulness (PU) is 74%, c) Attitude Toward Using (ATU) is 57%, d) Behavioral Intention to Use (BITU) is 65%, and e) Actual system usage (AU) is 75%. This proves that the use of the ZOOM application as an online learning medium cannot be fully explained by the Technology Acceptance Model.

Abstract

Digital transformation in healthcare requires improving queue management and drug inventory in pharmacies. A major problem in traditional pharmacies is patient crowding, which stems from uncertainty about waiting times and drug availability. This study seeks to create a web-based Queue Information System for Veteran Pharmacy that includes real-time queue tracking and clear drug status updates. The system will mainly show the status of prescription processing; when stock runs out, the status will change to restocking. This allows patients to leave the pharmacy and receive automatic notifications when their medicine is available, cutting down on physical waiting time. The methodology emphasizes structured database design using the Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD), Conceptual Data Model (CDM), and Physical Data Model (PDM) approaches for implementation in a Database Management System (DBMS). The results outline a plan for a web application that effectively reduces waiting room congestion and speeds up the drug supply process through automated restocking.

Abstract

Conventional laundry services face major challenges related to user time inefficiency and clothing security risks during the washing process. This study aims to design a self-service laundry database system that integrates real-time monitoring and smart authentication features to address these issues. The method applied is a structured approach comprising four stages: literature study, requirements analysis, system design, and testing and evaluation. The design produces three database representation models, namely Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD), Conceptual Data Model (CDM), and Physical Data Model (PDM), encompassing six main interrelated entities including user, transaction, payment, machine, usage session, and notification. Real-time monitoring is implemented through the usage session entity that dynamically records machine status, while smart authentication is realized through a unique code mechanism as verification for machine activation and laundry retrieval. Logic testing results indicate that the database design is capable of maintaining data integrity and consistency throughout the entire operational workflow without significant relational conflicts or data redundancy, thus the system is considered ready as a foundation for further technical implementation.
