Abstract

This Community Service Activity began with a discussion between the mathematics education study program lecturers, the faculty of teaching and educational sciences at Tanjungpura University, and the chairman of the Kubu Raya Subject Teachers' Conference about the rapid development of technology, especially in mathematics learning. Through this discussion, it was found that many teachers still need to utilize technology in teaching mathematics. One technology that is often used in mathematics learning is GeoGebra. GeoGebra is an application with various features that can be used to explain concepts and numbers in mathematics learning, such as plane geometry, space geometry, algebra, etc. Therefore, teachers need technology-related training to assist in learning, especially GeoGebra. Mastery of this technology is an unavoidable demand, and it also plays a role in improving education in Indonesia, especially in West Kalimantan. This training was held on 8 August 2024, with a total of forty-five participants consisting of thirty-five mathematics teachers from various junior high schools in Kubu Raya, three mathematics education students, and seven lecturers at the Tanjungpura University mathematics education study program. This training aims to increase teachers' motivation and ability to use GeoGebra in mathematics learning. The outputs produced in this activity are 1) implementation of training, 2) publication of documentary video activities on social media, and 3) activity reports.

Abstract

Matematika secara luas dianggap sebagai mata pelajaran yang sangat memberatkan bagi siswa karena sifatnya yang abstrak dan kurangnya keterkaitan dengan konteks nyata dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Untuk menjawab tantangan ini, penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh penerapan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) yang dipadukan dengan teknologi, khususnya video animasi berbasis Powtoon dan Lembar Kerja Siswa Elektronik (E-LKPD) melalui Liveworksheet, terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika siswa. Desain penelitian menggunakan metode quasi-eksperimen dengan model Nonequivalent Control Group. Partisipan terdiri atas 350 siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling, dengan kriteria kelas berprestasi akademik lebih rendah. Kelas VII K ditetapkan sebagai kelompok eksperimen (menggunakan RME dan teknologi), sedangkan Kelas VII B sebagai kelompok kontrol (pembelajaran konvensional). Instrumen penelitian berupa tes sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Hasil pengujian statistik dengan independent samples t-test memperlihatkan perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelompok (p = 0,04; p < 0,05), dengan keunggulan pemahaman pada kelompok eksperimen. Analisis effect size memperoleh nilai 0,69 (kategori sedang), membuktikan bahwa integrasi RME dan teknologi secara signifikan meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual matematika siswa. Temuan ini menegaskan urgensi inovasi pedagogis berbasis teknologi untuk mengatasi kesenjangan pembelajaran, khususnya dalam pendidikan matematika.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the correlation between learning readiness and learning motivation with students' mathematics learning outcomes in the Two-Variable Linear Equation System (SLSDV) topic. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The population in this study were all eighth-grade students of SMP Takhassus Al-Qur'an Ngabang. The research sample was selected from classes VIII D and VIII E, totaling 57 students selected using simple random sampling. The instruments used in this study included a learning readiness questionnaire, a learning motivation questionnaire, and a descriptive test on the SLSDV material. Data analysis was performed using SPSS for Windows version 23 using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test and multiple linear regression. The results showed a positive and significant correlation between learning readiness and mathematics learning outcomes with an r value of 0.967, which is classified as very strong. Furthermore, there was a positive and significant correlation between learning motivation and mathematics learning outcomes with an r value of 0.849, which is classified as very strong. Simultaneously, there is a positive and significant correlation between learning readiness and learning motivation with mathematics learning outcomes with an R value = 0.983 which is classified as a very strong category and an Adjusted R2 value = 0.965 which means that 96.4% of mathematics learning outcomes can be explained by learning readiness and learning motivation, while the remaining 3.6% is influenced by other factors.Korelasi antara Kesiapan Belajar dan Motivasi Belajar dengan Hasil Belajar Matematika pada Materi SPLDVABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui korelasi antara kesiapan belajar dan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar matematika siswa pada materi Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel (SPLDV). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Takhassus Al-Qur’an Ngabang. Sampel penelitian dipilih kelas VIII D dan VIII E dengan jumlah sebanyak 57 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi angket kesiapan belajar, angket motivasi belajar, dan tes uraian materi SPLDV. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan bantuan software SPSS for Windows versi 23 menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment dan regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi positif dan signifikan antara kesiapan belajar dengan hasil belajar matematika dengan nilai r = 0,967 yang tergolong ke dalam kategori sangat kuat. Kemudian, terdapat korelasi positif dan signifikan antara motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar matematika dengan nilai r = 0,849 yang tergolong ke dalam kategori sangat kuat. Secara simultan, terdapat korelasi positif dan signifikan antara kesiapan belajar dan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar matematika dengan nilai R = 0,983 yang tergolong ke dalam kategori sangat kuat serta nilai Adjusted R2 = 0,964 yang berarti bahwa sebesar 96,4% hasil belajar matematika dapat dijelaskan oleh kesiapan belajar dan motivasi belajar, sedangkan 3,6% sisanya dipengaruhi faktor lain.Kata Kunci :Kesiapan belajar; motivasi belajar; hasil belajar matematika

Abstract

Salah satu yang dapat mempengaruhi terbangunnya keterampilan berfikir kreatif adalah scientific attitudes seseorang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (a) Mendeskripsikan profil scientific attitudes mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan matematika, (b) Mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan matematika, (c) Menguji keterkaitan antara scientific attitudes dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa. Aspek kelancaran, aspek keaslian dan aspek kerincian termasuk kategori tinggi. Sedangkan aspek keluwesan termasuk pada kategori sedang. Bentuk penelitian menggunakan mixed methods dengan status sepadan yaitu menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sedangkan sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswa yang tidak mengulang pada mata kuliah penilaian proses dan hasil pembelajaran matematika tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik klaster random sampling. Pengujian hipotesis penelitian dengan menggunakan analisis korelasi Kendall Tau. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat keterkaitan yang erat antara scientific attitudes dengan kemampuan berfikir kreatif mahasiswa pada perkuliahan penilaian proses dan hasil belajar matematika. One that can affect the development of creative thinking skills is a person's scientific attitude. The aims of this study were (a) to describe the scientific attitude profile of students in the Mathematics Education Study Program, (b) to describe the creative thinking skills of students in the Mathematics Education Study Program, (c) to test the relationship between scientific attitudes and students' creative thinking skills. Aspects of fluency, aspects of creativity, and aspects of fact are included in the high category. In comparison, the aspect of flexibility is included in the medium category. This form of research uses mixed methods with commensurate status, namely using a qualitative descriptive approach and a quantitative approach. Meanwhile, the research sample was students who did not repeat the mathematics learning process and results in the 2022/2023 school year assessment course. Sampling using cluster random sampling technique. Testing the research hypothesis using Kendall Tau correlation analysis. The results of hypothesis testing show a close relationship between scientific attitudes and students' creative thinking abilities in the process assessment lectures and mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Rasa ingin tahu dan rasa percaya diri merupakan faktor internal peserta didik yang berperan dalam memengaruhi proses serta hasil belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pengaruh rasa percaya diri dan rasa ingin tahu terhadap hasil belajar matematika dalam pembelajaran daring, baik secara teoritis maupun empiris. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ini adalah survei dengan pendekatan korelasional. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 71 mahasiswa program studi pendidikan matematika. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan metode deskriptif dan inferensial. Analisis inferensial mencakup uji korelasi sederhana Pearson’s Product Moment dan korelasi ganda dengan dua prediktor, setelah memenuhi syarat normalitas dan linearitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar matematika mahasiswa belum memuaskan, dengan lebih dari 50,70% mahasiswa memperoleh nilai di bawah 61. Selain itu, diketahui juga bahwa rasa ingin tahu (X1) memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar (Y), Rasa percaya diri (X2) juga berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar (Y), dan terdapat hubungan signifikan antara rasa ingin tahu (X1) dan rasa percaya diri (X2) terhadap hasil belajar (Y).Curiosity and self-confidence are internal factors of students that play a role in influencing the learning process and outcomes. This research aims to describe the influence of self-confidence and curiosity on mathematics learning outcomes in online learning, both theoretically and empirically. The research method used is a survey with a correlational approach. The research subjects consisted of 71 students from the mathematics education study program. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive and inferential methods. Inferential analysis includes a simple Pearson's Product Moment correlation test and multiple correlation with two predictors, after fulfilling the normality and linearity requirements. The research results show that students' mathematics learning outcomes are not satisfactory, with more than 50.70% of students getting a score below 61. In addition, it is also known that curiosity (X1) has a significant influence on learning outcomes (Y), self-confidence (X2) also influences learning outcomes (Y), and there is a significant relationship between curiosity (X1) and self-confidence (X2) on learning outcomes (Y).

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between self-confidence and student mathematics learning outcomes. This kind of study can be called a quantitative descriptive conducted at SMPN 9 Pontianak. The population in this study was class VIII students, the research sample, namely class VIII D students, was 30 students. The data collected are the results of learning tests in the form of mathematical description problems and self-confidence questionnaires. Based on processed data assisted by Microsoft Excel and SPSS 16 by applying tests for correlation of product moments the results of the analysis data are descriptive. Based on the research findings, it can be said that learning outcomes in mathematics and student confidence are interrelated with a correlation of 0.877. That way it can be concluded that the level of self-confidence that students have correlates with the results of learning mathematics. Abstract

Siswa SD sering kesulitan memahami geometri spasial akibat kurangnya media interaktif. Penelitian ini mengembangkan buku pop-up untuk bangun ruang (kubus) berbasis model ADDIE. Merancang, memvalidasi, dan mengevaluasi kelayakan buku pop-up serta dampaknya pada keterlibatan siswa. Melibatkan analisis kebutuhan, desain (Canva), validasi ahli, dan uji coba dengan 30 siswa/guru di SD Negeri 1 Mempawah Hilir. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket skala Likert dan observasi. Buku pop-up sangat layak (konten: 93%, teknis: 97%, pedagogis: 86%) dan mendapat respons positif dari guru (96%) dan siswa (84%). Hasil membuktikan efektivitas buku pop-up untuk geometri spasial, dengan rekomendasi pengembangan berbasis AR/PPT di masa depan.

Abstract

Mathematical disposition is one of the main factors in determining mathematics learning achievement in students, and mathematical disposition is believed to support the success of learning mathematics significantly. So it is necessary to research the relationship between mathematical dispositions and mathematics learning achievement in students. This study aims to: 1) describe the mathematical disposition of junior high school students, 2) describe the mathematics learning achievement of junior high school students, and 3) empirically test the relationship between mathematical dispositions and mathematics learning achievement of junior high school students. The research was conducted with a quantitative approach. The instrument used in this study was a mathematical disposition scale test, and the results of the mid-semester test. This study involved 572 junior high school students in grades VII and VIII in the Pontianak area. The data obtained will be analyzed using correlation analysis between disposition and learning achievement in mathematics. The results showed: 1) Most junior high school students had moderate and low levels of mathematical disposition, 2) Most junior high school students had moderate, low, and meager mathematics learning achievements, 3) there was a relationship between mathematical disposition and learning achievement. Based on the results of the research, it is recommended that mathematics teachers be able to develop aspects related to student psychology through a strategic mathematical learning process in the classroom.

Abstract

The purpose of the student creativity program in general is to prepare future-oriented student resources and forged with higher education transformation so that they become superior, competitive, adaptive, flexible, productive, competitive graduates with Pancasila character, and guide students to become individuals who know and obey the rules, creative and innovative, as well as objective and cooperative in building intellectual diversity. While the objectives of the Student Achievement Program are: 1) giving awards to students who have achieved high achievements; 2) motivating students to carry out curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular activities as a vehicle for synergizing student hard skills and soft skills; 3) encouraging universities to develop a campus life climate that can facilitate students to achieve proud achievements on an ongoing basis; 4) Student entrepreneurship; and 5) MBKM activities in higher education. The method of delivering the material in the zoom meeting and offline, accompanied directly by selected expert presenters who are able to provide motivation and strategies and often participate in the intended achievement event in the FKIP Hall, Classroom, and other rooms that are useful in implementing activities that are planned to be carried out continuously or sustainably between April and December 2023. The activities are in the form of continuous technical guidance periodically until students are proficient in uploading activity websites, making implementation proposals, and creating achievement and entrepreneurial ideas. The data collection technique is observation, interview, and documentation. With data collection tools in the form of observation sheets, interviews, and documentation sheets. The target audience is students and lecturers, especially the mathematics education study program at FKIP Tanjungpura University. With the results obtained are: 1) many students are ready to make a team of service implementers starting from the preparation of proposals to the hope that the product will be accepted by the ministry and other institutions that oversee it; 2) students play an active role in participating in competitions or student achievement activities and compete starting from the institutional, regional, national, and international levels. The product of the service activity is in the form of a Student Creativity Program (PKM) proposal and empirical evidence of students participating in outstanding student activities then articles made and then published in the National Journal of Community Service.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the correlation between self-efficacy and intrinsic motivation with students' ability to solve quadratic equation story problems among ninth-grade students at SMPN 2 Salatiga. A quantitative approach with a correlational method was employed, involving 29 students from class IX A as participants. Data were collected using problem-solving tests and questionnaires designed to assess self-efficacy and intrinsic motivation. The data were analyzed through Pearson Product Moment correlation and multiple regression techniques. The findings reveal: (1) a moderate and statistically significant positive relationship between self-efficacy and problem-solving performance (r = 0.578); (2) a similarly moderate and significant correlation between intrinsic motivation and problemsolving skills (r = 0.488); and (3) a joint, significant relationship between self-efficacy, intrinsic motivation, and students"™ problemsolving ability in quadratic equation contexts. The regression analysis indicated that both independent variables significantly contribute to predicting students"™ performance, with an R Square value of 0.361, meaning that 36.1% of the variation in problem-solving ability could be explained by these two psychological factors. These results underscore the critical role of self-efficacy and intrinsic motivation in fostering students"™ mathematical problem-solving success.
