Abstract

The growth and development of cattle is very dependent on the maintenance process, including the availability of feed in the surrounding environment, to meet the daily needs of cattle. In order for cow feed to be available and available, it is necessary to have a natural source of cow feed because it is easily available and has a high level of availability, namely in the natural surroundings. This natural source is in the form of grass or leaves that can be consumed directly by cattle, the availability of the feed is not influenced by weather conditions so that it can be obtained anytime and in large quantities. The grass that is available in the environment can be eaten directly by the cows, but the leaves must be processed first to make it easier for the cows to eat. For example, oil palm leaves and fronds, because the size of the palm fronds is quite large, so they cannot be directly used, it is necessary to have a chopping process so that they can be consumed by cows. Of course, the census process manually can be done but it is not effective, it requires a lot of time and a lot of effort. Based on these problems, it is necessary to mechanize the chopping process in order to simplify the process. The purpose of science and technology for the community in cattle breeder farmer groups in general is to increase the quality and capacity of production, especially cattle. Meanwhile, in particular, this IbM activity is expected to collaborate between partners and proposers from educational institutions. Partners can develop their business because they can meet the need for more animal feed through appropriate technology machines in the form of animal feed chopper machines, while institutions can apply science and technology directly and apply their knowledge into appropriate technology and can also introduce Polman educational institutions to the wider community.

Abstract

Province of Bangka Belitung Islands has a large number of natural resources, including mining products, marine products, agricultural products, plantation products, and river products. One of the river products is fish and giant prawns which have high economic value which can be found in Bangka district, one of the places or rivers in Sempan village, Pemali sub-district. The river fishermen in the Pemali village fish and shrimp traditionally. The problem that occurs in these partners is that the boat still uses oars, this of course greatly slows down the movement in the river so that the catch of fish and giant prawns is small. Survey results on river fishermen partners on Sempan village, Pemali Bangka sub-district obtained data on the demand for a boat propulsion engine with low fuel consumption or a small engine displacement. The purpose of science and technology for river fishing communities is to increase the productivity of the catch of giant fish and prawns and as a means to save themselves from predators (crocodiles) when fishing for fish and shrimp in the river. The specific target of this IbM activity is expected to establish a cooperative and mutually beneficial relationship between partners and proposers from educational institutions. Partners get the right technology in the form of Turbojet Drive, 3D Printing product with a fuel-efficient engine. Agreed to propose to replace the boat propulsion system which originally used wooden oars to be replaced with a special “Turbojet Drive 3D Printing Product” propulsion with a fuel-efficient 58 cc engine. By replacing the offered boat propulsion, it is hoped that the targets and objectives of this IbM can be achieved and the catch of fish and giant prawns will increase. Thus, it is hoped that the standard of living of river fishermen will increase by using the appropriate technology offered by the proposing team.

Abstract

Rice is one of the basic foodstuffs consumed by the people of Indonesia as well as Bangka Belitung Islands Province more precisely Bangka Regency Riau Silip Village Banyu Asin. Freshly harvested rice is usually still not separated from straw / malai. The process of harvesting rice still uses traditional tools or also called gebotan. The threshing machine available in Banyu Asin has not been able to maximize the results of the platform, which resulted in the length of the threshing process. Based on these needs, it was designed to build a rice threshing machine to facilitate the threshing process. Rice threshing machine design refers to the VDI 2222 method of development which has 4 (four) stages, namely: planning, conceptualizing, designing, and finishing, then assessed based on technical, and economic aspects. The conclusion obtained during the design process of the rice threshing machine is the design of the machine weighing 60 kg lighter than the existing machine is easy to move and the design of the machine whose components are easy to remove installs. The design of a rice threshing machine that is able to knock rice as much as 86.4kg / hour, compared to existing machines is only able to knock rice as much as 30kg / hour.

Abstract

Saat ini teknologi sudah semkin berkembang dengan sangat pesat terutama teknologi yang berbasis rapid prototyping yang satu diantaranya adalah 3D printing menjadi salah satu teknologi yang sedang maraknya dikembangkan diberbagai sektor industri. Teknologi ini dapat mencetak sebuah produk yang berbentuk 3 dimensi dengan tingkat struktur dan kekuatan bahan yang cukup kompleks. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui parameter proses yang berpengaruh terhadap nilai kekuatan impak suatu spesimen yang telah dicetak menggunakan filamen PLA PRO dan telah dilakukan proses uji impak yang nantinya dapat memberikan data nilai kekuatan terendah hingga tertinggi. Dengan metode eksperimen faktorial, penelitian ini melakukan pencetakan spesimen menggunakan mesin Ender 3-PRO dengan sudut pencetakan 90ᵒ atau posisi horizontal. Variasi parameter yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu infill density 80%, travel speed 100mm/s, layer thickness 0.2mm, bed temperature 60ᵒC, printing speed 50mm/s, 3 level nozzle temperature, dan 16 tipe infill pattern berdasarkan software PrusaSlicer 2.3.1. Penelitian yang menghasilkan 48 kombinasi eksperimen ini memiliki nilai impak tertinggi 0,205 Joule/mm2 dengan infill pattern 3D honeycomb pada suhu 230ᵒC dan nilai impak terendah 0,003 Joule/mm2 dengan infill pattern stars pada suhu 210ᵒC. Sehingga berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemilihan parameter proses sangat berpengaruh pada hasil pencetakan 3 dimensi.

Abstract

Komposit serat alam adalah material yang sangat baik karena sangat ringan, kuat, murah, mudah di bentuk dan ramah lingkungan. Pohon gaharu (Aquilaria malaccensis) menghasilkan resin berbau harum untuk pembuatan parfum. Selain resin juga menghasilkan serat halus yang bisa dijadikan penguat material komposit. Tujuan penelitian untuk mendapatkan efek perendaman serat kulit gaharu terhadap pengujian mekanik menggunakan matriks polyester BQTN 157 serat gaharu sebagai penguat dan apakah komposit serat gaharu ini bisa dijadikan bahan alternatif pembuatan dashboart mobil. Metode penelitian menggunakan full Faktorial dengan dua faktor dan tiga level. Parameter proses yaitu perendaman dengan cairan kimia NaOH 2%, 4% dan 6% dan lama perendaman 120 menit, 240 menit dan 360 menit. Hasilnya nilai rata-rata kekuatan tarik maksimum yaitu 42,0 Mpa pada serat dengan waktu perendaman selama 120 menit dan 2% NaOH. Hasil pengujian impak maksimum sebesar 39,1 kj/m2 pada waktu perendaman 120 menit dan persentase NaOH 4%. Hasil foto menghasilkan bentuk patahan broken fiber dimana serat yang patah dipenuhi dengan serat halus dan berserabut. Efek persentase NaOH dan perendaman serat gaharu lebih dari 240 menit membuat kekuatan serat menjadi menurun, mudah putus dan rapuh. Artinya persentase NaOH dan perendaman tidak boleh lebih dari 240 menit. Hasil pengujian ini bisa dijadikan material baru untuk pembuatan dashboard mobil karena sudah standar bila dibandingkan dengan standar.

Abstract

Community service activities( PKM) carried out in collaboration with soy milk business partners in Parit Padang Village, Sungailiat District, Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province. The production process carried out by partners still uses manual methods with simple equipment so that to make soya milk in the amount of 3 kilogram takes approximately 30- 60 minutes. The purpose of this activity is to assist partners in increasing the productivity of soya milk businesses. Through this (PKM) activity, it is expected to improve the performance of partners in soya milk production. This (PKM) activity is carried out through several stages, namely: survey of partner problems, procurement of soybean grinding machines, and brief training on machine operation and maintenance. This program runs well and smoothly with training and assistance to partners. After this activity, partners get appropriate technology in the form of machines and maintenance services if the machine experiences problems or damages and there is an increase in the quality and quantity of soya milk production with an increase in production capacity of 6 kilogram per hour.

Abstract

In the process of raising goats, one of the factors that affect the process of goat growth and development is the availability of feed in the surrounding environment. In an effort to meet this availability, it is necessary to have a food source that is always available and usually comes from plants that exist in nature, such as grass or leaves. The availability of animal feed is not immune from the influence of weather conditions and the level of availability of weeds around it which are needed in large quantities. To deal with this, some farmers use alternative feed sources, one of which has been used is palm fronds and leaves and other organic waste. With the size of the palm frond which is quite large, it is necessary to chop it up so that it can be consumed directly by goats (Latifa S, Anto A, David S, Jeni W, Alexander Y). Of course, manual counting can be done, but it is not very effective and requires a lot of time and energy. Based on these problems, it is necessary to mechanization of the midrib and leaf counting process in order to facilitate the process. The purpose of science and technology for the community in this goat farmer group in general is to improve the quality and capacity of livestock production. In addition, by helping the availability of goat feed through the use of alternative feed sources other than the sources that have been available so far and applying appropriate technology for the process of chopping palm fronds and other organic waste. This machine is capable of chopping palm fronds and leaves with a maximum size of 2 cm. Based on the results of interviews with farmers, this size is a size that can be chewed or processed by goats when eating. Then, through this IbM activity, it is expected to be able to establish cooperation between partners and proposers from educational institutions. Partners can develop their business because the need for animal feed is more fulfilled through animal feed chopper machines, while institutions can directly apply science and technology and apply their knowledge into appropriate technology and can introduce Polmanbabel educational institutions more broadly to the community.

Abstract

Penerapan teknologi tepat guna pengolahan limbah kelapa muda sebagai media pupuk organik kelapa sawit di Kabupaten Bangka, merupakan kegiatan pengabdian dosen dan mahasiswa dengan melibatkan mitra, yaitu masyarakat yang peduli akan lingkungan dan aktif dalam pengembangan dan budidaya kelapa sawit di Kabupaten Bangka. Permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra adalah sulitnya mendapatkan pupuk yang disebabkan karena mahalnya harga pupuk anorganik dipasaran dan berdampak pada pengurangan hasil panen buah sawit. Selain itu, limbah kelapa muda jumlahnya sangat besar, apalagi dikala bulan puasa. Ini menjadi masalah tersendiri karena berpotensi menyebabkan terjadinya pencemaran lingkungan dan menjadi sarang penyakit. Limbah kelamud ternyata bisa digunakan menjadi bahan baku pembuatan pupuk organik bagi tanaman kelapa sawit. Saat ini proses pengolahan limbah kelamut masih dilakukan dengan cara manual menggunakan parang. Untuk dapat memecahkan masalah Mitra tersebut, maka kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan berupa pemberian bantuan penerapan TTG dalam pengolahan limbah kelamud serta pemberian pelatihan berupa cara pengoperasian dan perawatan mesin pengolah limbah kelamud dalam bentuk ceramah, diskusi, praktek dan introduksi mesin pencacah limbah kelamud untuk dijadikan bahan baku pupuk organik. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini nantinya diharapkan mitra mampu membuat pupuk organik dengan memanfaatkan limbah kelamud dan juga dapat mengurangi limbah kelamud yang tidak bermanfaat yang dapat menimbulkan berbagai penyakit. Hasil dari kegiatan ini mampu membantu IKM mengatasi persoalan pengolahan limbah kelamud menjadi lebih cepat dan efektif dengan kapasitasnya 201,04 Kg/jam sehingga mempercepat Proses pembuatan pupuk organik bagi tanaman kelapa sawit.

Abstract

Kebutuhan akan energi listrik saat ini semakin meningkat sehingga energi ini menjadi sumber energi utama yang paling penting. Salah satu upaya untuk memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut dikembangkan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Piko Hidro (PLTPH) dengan turbin archimedes screw bilah lima. Dalam pengembangannya dilakukan uji performa generator magnet permanen AC 3 phase dengan kapasitas daya sebesar 500 Watt. Tujuan dari pengujian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan karakteristik output generator sehingga bisa diimplementasikan secara riil. Metode pengujian dilakukan dengan cara menghubungkan poros generator dan poros motor DC shunt dengan kecepatan putaran motor DC dapat dikontrol. Sensor INA219 dan LM393 digunakan untuk mendeteksi nilai arus, tegangan, rpm yang dihasilkan generator selanjutnya diolah menggunakan mikrokontroler. Data real time dapat dimonitoring pada komputer, LCD dan smart phone menggunakan aplikasi blynk. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa nilai tegangan yang dapat dihasilkan generator dengan penggerak Motor DC pada kondisi optimum yaitu sebesar 45 V AC pada 620 rpm dan pada kondisi minimum menghasilkan 8 V AC pada 91 rpm.

Abstract

Penelitian tentang produk cetak dengan menggunakan 3D Printing berteknologi Fused DepositionModelling (FDM) telah banyak dilakukan oleh para peneliti. Salah satunya adalah penelitian tentang kekuatan lentur atau flexural strength dengan menggunakan standar ASTM D790, baik dengan filamen ABS, PLA, Nylon, maupun material maju lainnya seperti komposit. Penelitian ini menggunakan filamen Super Tough PLA dengan setting parameter proses pada slicing software dan menggunakan mesin 3D Printer Anycubic 4Max dengan nozzle diameter 0,4mm, layer thickness 0,28mm, Top solid Layer 1, Bottom Solid Layer 1, Vertical shell 1, Fill density 100%, printing speed 60 mm/s, bed temperature 60 °C, cooling speed 100%, dan flowrate 100%, Spesimen uji Standar ASTM D790 diaplikasikan pada penelitian ini. Penelitian ini hanya memvariasikan bentuk infill pattern. Sebanyak dua belas variasi infill pattern yang digunakan pada penelitian ini. Penelitian ini telah menghasilkan kekuatan lentur specimen uji ASTM D790 dengan perbedaan sebesar 59,17%. Kekuatan lentur dengan nilai terendah rata-rata sebesar 27,10MPa, dan nilai kekuatan lentur tertinggi rata-rata sebesar 45,80MPa.
