Abstract

This research aims to describe the process of implementing Project Based Learning (PBL) in improving learning motivation, writing skills, and the submission of learning outcomes in writing narrative (fable) of the at seventh grade students learn SMP Negeri 3 Blambanganumpu, academic year 2016/2017 through the implementation of PBL. The design of the research used is an experimental quasi that academic year descriptive. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) and is implemented in several cycles. The results of this study indicate that the use of PBL can improve learning motivation, writing skills, and the submission of learning outcomes write narrative text increases.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses penerapan Project Based Learning (PBL) dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar, keterampilan menulis, dan ketuntasan hasil belajar menulis teks narasi (fabel) peserta didik kelas VII A SMP Negeri 3 Blambanganumpu, Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen kuasi yang bersifat kualitatif deskriptif. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dan dilaksanakan dalam beberapa siklus. Abstract

The purpose of this research was to describe planning, implementation, and evaluation learning in reading text of speech of students in XII grade at SMA Al-Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung school year 2013/2014. This research used the qualitative descriptive method. The results of this research showed that the learning activity which has been done by teacher marked with (1) learning planning was appropriate with the instrument, (2) learning implementation was appropriate with the instrument, and (3) learning evaluation was appropriate with the instrument. Learning activity started with production of lesson study by teacher. In activity implementation, the introduction, core, and closing activity have been done in the first meeting. Then, in the second meeting, students practiced for reading text of speech in front of the class. Teacher evaluated it by appreciating the reading text of speech students based on the evaluation instruments that have been made before.Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi pembelajaran membaca teks pidato pada siswa kelas XII di SMA Al-Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pembelajaran yang dilakukan guru ditandai dengan telah dilaksanakannya (1) perencanaan pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan instrumen, (2) pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan instrumen, (3) evaluasi pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan instrumen. Kegiatan pembelajaran diawali dengan pembuatan RPP (Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran) oleh guru. Pada kegiatan pelaksanaan, kegiatan pendahuluan, inti, dan penutup dilakukan pada pertemuan pertama. Pada pertemuan kedua, dilakukan kegiatan praktik membaca teks pidato oleh tiap-tiap siswa di depan kelas. Guru mengevaluasinya dengan cara menilai pembacaan pidato oleh siswa dengan berpedoman pada instrumen evaluasi yang telah dibuat sebelumnya.Kata kunci: membaca, pembelajaran, teks pidato.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe learning process in the structure of exposition text at the first grade student of  SMPN 1 Bandarlampung. The method which is used is descriptive qualitative research method. Data collection techniques of this research are observation, interview, and documentation. The result of the research showed that the teacher had done three steps in learning, those are planning implementation and assessment. In planning, the teacher made complete lesson plan based on the lesson plan’s components in 2013 curriculum. In the implementation there are two activities: teacher’s activities and students’ activities. The activities are: pre activity, while activity and post activity. The assessment that was done by the teacher includes attitude competence assessment by using observation technique and knowledge competence assessment by using written test which is read in front of the class by the students.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pembelajaran struktur teks eksposisi pada siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Bandarlampung. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan  bahwa guru telah melaksanakan tahapan dalam pembelajaran, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan penilaian pembelajaran. Pada perencanaan pembelajaran, guru membuat Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran lengkap berdasarkan komponen-komponen RPP pada kurikulum 2013. Pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran terdapat dua aktivitas, yaitu aktivitas guru dan siswa. Aktivitas yang dilakukan guru meliputi tiga kegiatan, yaitu kegiatan awal, inti, dan penutup. Penilaian yang dilakukan oleh guru mencakup penilaian  kompetensi sikap dengan teknik observasi, penilaian kompetensi pengetahuan dengan  teknik tes tertulis yang dibacakan di depan kelas.Kata kunci: pembelajaran, struktur, teks eksposisi.

Abstract

The problem of this research was how is the characteristic of characters in 9 Matahari novel by Adenita and its feasibility as the lesson of Indonesia literature in Senior High School (SMA). The objectives of this research were to describe the characteristic of characters and its classification in 9 Matahari novel by Adenita and also to determine its feasibility as the lesson of Indonesia literature in senior high school (SMA).The research method that was used in this research was qualitative method. The data source of this research was 9 Matahari by Adenita. Data collecting technique and data analysis in this research was text analysis technique.The result of the research showed that some characteristic of the characters which were included  in this novel, that were clever, generous, principled, spit-fire, authoritative, active, interest, assertive, like to give an advice, pessimist, lover, optimist, willing sacrifice, grateful, smart, tough, strong will, high aspiration, and loyal to the religion. Based on its character classification, (a) the main character was Matari Anas, he was generous, interest, lover, grateful, loyal to the religion, principled, assertive, tough, strong will, high aspiration, optimist, clever, active, and smart. Additional characters were Yati Ayati, she was generous, interest, and liked to give an advice; aunt Erna, she was generous; Hera, she was interest, willing sacrifice, authoritative, and clever; Pandu, He was  interest, and spit-fire; Lena, she liked to give an advice; Mom Hesti, she liked to give an advice; Arga, He liked to give an advice; Dedi, he liked to give an advice, (b) protagonist character was Matari Anas and antagonist character was Biran Anas, (c) static character was Yati Ayati and dynamic character was Biran Anas.9 Matahari novel bu Adenita was suitable to be used an alternative lesson of Indonesia literature in Senior High School (SMA). It was based on the election criteria of  literature learning, it was seen from three aspects, they were curriculum aspect, literature aspect, and character education aspect.being observed from character education aspect, the characteristic of the characters which were described by the author in this novel can be used as a lesson. moreover, the characteristic of characters that can be used as lesson of character education are smart, generous, principled, active, interest, assertive, like to give an advice, lover, optimistic, willing sacrifice, grateful, clever, tough, strong will, high aspiration, and loyal to the religion.Key words: characteristic of characters, classification of characters, advisability

Abstract

Issues discussed in this study was how the level of ability to write short stories in class X SMA Negeri 1 Gadingrejo second semester of academic year 2012/2013. Sample 10% of the total population as much as 253 students which are 24 students. The short story writing skills of students' a class X SMA Negeri 1 Gadingrejo school year 2012/2013, belong to the category of fairly with an average score of 70,67. Score per indicator 1) the theme score of 69,45 category enough; 2 a) the figures that were presented score of 85,58 excellent category, b) the presentation of the character figures score of 64,04 fair category; 3) background score of 65,5 category of pretty; 4 a) a series of events 71,66 category enough, b) the flow of the game score of 66.88, enough categories; and 5) style language score of 71,63 category enough.Masalah yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana tingkat kemampuan menulis cerita pendek pada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Gadingrejo semester genap tahun pelajaran 2012/ 2013. Sample diambil 10% dari populasi yang berjumlah 253 siswa yakni 24 siswa. Hasil kemampuan menulis cerita pendek siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Gadingrejo tahun pelajaran 2012/2013, tergolong dalam kategori cukup dengan skor rata-rata 70,67. Skor rata-rata kemampuan siswa perindikator adalah: 1) tema skor rata-rata 69,45 kategori cukup; 2 a) tokoh yang dihadirkan skor rata-rata yaitu 85,58 kategori sangatbaik, b) penyajian watak tokoh skor rata-rata 64,04 kategori cukup; 3) latar dengan rata-rata 65,5 kategori cukup; 4 a) rangkaian peristiwa rata-rata 1,66 kategori cukup, b) permainan alur rata-rata 66,88 kategori cukup; dan 5) gaya bahasa skor rata-rata 71,63 kategori cukup.Kata kunci: cerita pendek, kemampuan, menulis.

Abstract

The problem in this research was how the image of women in Ibuk novel by Iwan Setiawan and its feasibility as teaching materials in high school literature. The purposes of this study were (1) to describe the female figure, (2) describe the image Ngatinah figures as mother and wife, (3) describe the feasibility of the image of women in the Ibuk novel as an alternative literature study materials. Based on the results of data analysis it was found two categories of images of women, as a mother and wife. Categories of mother and/or wife was shown by Ngatinah figures who became mother and wife. The image of women as a mother and/or wife told as a mother and/or wife who appreciates, respects her husband, responsible, unyielding, and not easily discouraged.Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah citra perempuan novel Ibuk karya Iwan Setyawan dan kelayakannya sebagai bahan ajar sastra di SMA. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) mendeskripsikan tokoh perempuan, (2) mendeskripsikan citra tokoh Ngatinah sebagai ibu dan istri, (3) mendeskripsikan kelayakan citra perempuan dalam novel Ibuk sebagai alternatif bahan pembelajaran sastra. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data ditemukan dua kategori citra perempuan, yakni sebagai ibu dan istri. Kategori ibu dan/atau istri ditampilkan oleh tokoh Ngatinah yang menjadi ibu sekaligus istri. Citra perempuan sebagai ibu dan/atau istri diceritakan sebagai ibu dan/atau istri yang menghargai, menghormati suaminya, bertanggung jawab, pantang menyerah, dan tidak mudah putus asa.Kata kunci: citra perempuan, kelayakan bahan ajar, novel.

Abstract

This study is about the character education values in the novel titled Haji Ngeteng and its appropriateness as teaching material. The method used in this is descriptive qualitative. This study showed that in Haji Ngeteng, there are seventy data character education values as follows: thirteen data for religiousness, one data for honest, three data for tolerance, five data for discipline, seven data for hard work, four data for creativity, three dara for independence, four data for democracy, eight data for curiousity, four data for nasionalism, two data for credits to achievements, three data on communication skill, one data for pacifism, three data for reading enthusiasm, one data for environmental awareness, six data for social awareness, and two data for responsibility. The novel Haji Ngeteng is proved to be an appropriate teaching material.Masalah yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter pada novel Haji Ngeteng dan kelayakannya sebagai bahan ajar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam novel Haji Ngeteng terdapat nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter. sebanyak tujuh puluh data yang meliputi: religius sebanyak tiga belas data, jujur sebanyak satu data, toleransi sebanyak tiga data, disiplin sebanyak lima data, kerja keras sebanyak tujuh data, kreatif sebanyak empat data, mandiri sebanyak tiga data, demokratis sebanyak empat data, rasa ingin tahu sebanyak delapan data, semangat kebangsaan sebanyak empat data, menghargai prestasi sebanyak dua data, bersahabat/komunikatif sebanyak tiga data, cinta damai sebanyak satu data, gemar membaca sebanyak tiga data, peduli lingkungan sebanyak satu data, peduli sosial sebanyak enam data, dan tanggung jawab sebanyak dua data. Novel Haji Ngeteng layak untuk dijadikan sebagai salah satu bahan ajar mata pelajaran.Kata kunci: karakter, nilai-nilai, pendidikan.

Abstract

The problem of this research was how the use of affix in newspaper headlines Lampung Post. The purpose of this research was to describe the affix in newspaper headlines Lampung Post and its implications for indonesian learning in high school. This research used a qualitative descriptive method. The data source of this research is newspaper headlines lampung post. Based on the analysis of data, it was found that the use of affixes include prefixes, suffixes, konfiks, and the combination of affixes. The result of this research can also be used as teaching materials of indonesian language learning competencies releated to writing text news.Masalah penelitian ini adalah bagaimana penggunaan afiks dalam berita utama surat kabar Lampung Post. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan afiks dalam berita utama surat kabar Lampung Post dan implikasinya terhadap pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah berita utama surat kabar Lampung Post. Teknik pengumpulan dan analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis teks. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data ditemukan afiks berupa prefiks, sufiks, konfiks, dan kombinasi afiks. Afiks pada kajian ini dapat digunkana sebagai bahan ajar pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMA yang berkaitan dengan kompetensi menulis teks berita.Kata kunci: afiks, headline, implikasi bahan ajar.

Abstract

This research is aimed at describing local color in Perempuan di Rumah Panggung, a short story anthology written by Isbedy Stiawan ZS and determining its implication towards literature teaching at Junior High Schools (SMP). The method that is used in this resarch is qualitative descriptive. The data analysis in this study is text analysis technique. The result of this research shows that (1) the word meaning that are found in the study are lexical, grammatical, idiomatic, narrow, and wide meaning, (2) the word classes that are found in the study are noun, verb, adjective and adverb, (3) the language function that are found in the study are strenghtening the character socially, strenghtening social background, and strenghtening the setting, (4) short story entitled Perempuan di Rumah Panggung is suitable to be a media in literature teaching at middle school.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan warna lokal dalam kumpulan cerpen Perempuan di Rumah Panggung karya Isbedy Stiawan ZS dan menentukan implikasinya terhadap pembelajaran sastra di Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah teknis analisis teks. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Makna kata yang ditemukan dalam penelitian, yakni makna leksikal, makna gramatikal, makna idiomatik, makna sempit, dan makna luas, (2) Kelas kata yang ditemukan dalam penelitian, yakni kata benda, kata kerja, kata sifat, dan kata keterangan, (3) Fungsi bahasa yang ditemukan dalam penelitian, yakni fungsi memperkuat tokoh secara sosial, fungsi memperkuat latar sosial, dan fungsi memperkuat latar tempat, (4) Kumpulan cerpen Perempuan di Rumah Panggung layak untuk dijadikan media pembelajaran sastra di SMP.Kata kunci: cerpen, implikasi, warna lokal.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to describe students’ capability in playing character of the drama “Symphoni Anak Jalanan”. The indicators used in this research are speech, intonation, pauses, setting the intensity and fluency of speech, first appearance, blocking, dialogue expression, facial expression, glancing of eye and body movement to support dialog expression and movement. The method used in this research was descriptive method. The result of the research showed that the capability of students in playing drama’s characters appertain enough with the average 72,45 % reviewed from each indicators, The speech appertain good. The Intonation appertains well. The pause appertains well. The Intensity and fluency of speech appertain enough. The first appearance appertains well. Blocking appertains well. The dialogue expression appertains enough. The facial expression appertains well. The glancing of eyes and body movement appertain enough. The movement appertains enough.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan siswa dalam memerankan tokoh dalam drama yang berjudul “Symphoni Anak Jalanan”. Indikator yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah ucapan, intonasi, pengaturan jeda, intensitas dan kelancaran berbicara, kemunculan pertama, blocking, ekspresi dialog, ekspresi wajah, pandangan mata serta gerak anggota tubuh untuk mendukung ekspresi dialog, dan gerakan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Rumbia Tahun Pelajaran 2011/2012 dalam memerankan tokoh drama tergolong cukup dengan nilai rata-rata 72,45% ditinjau dari masing-masing indikator, yaitu ucapan tergolong baik. Intonasi tergolong baik. Pengaturan jeda tergolong baik. Intensitas dan kelancaran berbicara tergolong cukup. Kemunculan pertama tergolong baik. Blocking tergolong baik. Ekspresi dialog tergolong cukup. Ekspresi wajah tergolong cukup. Pandangan mata dan gerak anggota tubuh untuk mendukung ekspresi dialog tergolong cukup. Gerakan tergolong cukup.Kata kunci: drama, kemampuan, memerankan tokoh.
