Abstract

The problem of this research is how is the woman character in the 99 Cahaya di Langit Eropa novel written by Hanum Salsabiela Raies and Rangga Almahendra. The purpose of this research is to describe the women character in the novel and its implications upon literature learning in SMA. It is used qualitative descriptive method. The resources is taken from novel titled99 Cahaya di Langit Eropa which is written by Hanum Salsabiela Raies and Rangga Almahendra. The research found that women character had 4 roles; (1) as a wife, (2) as a mother, (3) as a daughter, (4) as a career. Novel 99 Cahaya di Langit Eropa is worthy to be used as a alternative learning material for students in SMA in terms of (1) aspect of language, (2) psychological aspect, and (3) aspect of cultural background.Masalah penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah tokoh wanita dalam novel 99 Cahaya di Langit Eropa karya Hanum Salsabiela Raies dan Rangga Almahendra. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan tokoh wanita dalam novel dan implikasinya terhadap pembelajaran sastra di SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah novel 99 Cahaya di Langit Eropa karya Hanum Salsabiela Raies dan Rangga Almahendra. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data ditemukan (1) tokoh wanita sebagai istri, (2) tokoh wanita sebagai ibu, (3) tokoh wanita sebagai anak (4) tokoh wanita sebagai wanita karier. Novel tersebut layak dijadikan sebagai alternatif bahan ajar siswa di SMA ditinjau dari (1) aspek bahasa, (2) aspek psikologi dan (3) aspek latar belakang budaya.Kata kunci: bahan ajar, novel, tokoh wanita.

Abstract

The problem in this research is about the character of Melayu in a novel Cinta Dalam Gelas by Andrea Hirata. The aim of this study is to describe that character and the implications. The method used here is descriptive qualitative. Based on the result of data analysis, five aspects; religion, education, environment, physical characteristics, and culture of Melayu character. Based on the five aspects there are eight characters included into ‘native’ Melayu based on the three criteria such as : having Islam as religion, speaking Melayu, and practicing Melayu customs. There are also thirteen characters included in ‘less’ Melayu as they do not fulfill all the criteria of Melayu character. This novel is appropriate to be an alternative for literature teaching as it meets the criteria of teaching material selection that involves psychological, linguistic, and cultural aspects.Masalah penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah tokoh Melayu dalam novel Cinta di Dalam Gelas karya Andrea Hirata. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan tokoh dalam novel dan implikasinya.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data berupa novel Cinta di Dalam Gelas karya Andrea Hirata.Berdasarkan hasil analisis data ditemukan lima aspek seperti agama, pendidikan, lingkungan, ciri fisik,dan budaya tokoh. Berdasarkan lima aspek tersebut terdapat 8 tokoh yang termasuk ke dalam Melayu “asli”, karena tokoh-tokoh tersebut memenuhi 3 indikator tokoh Melayu yaitu beragama Islam, berbahasa Melayu, dan beradat istiadat Melayu. Selain itu terdapat 15 tokoh yang termasuk dalam kategori “kurang Melayu”, karena tidak memenuhi 3 indikator di atas. Novel Cinta di Dalam Gelas layak dijadikan alternatif bahan ajar sastra, karena sesuai dengan kriteria pemilihan bahan ajar meliputi aspek psikologis, bahasa, dan latar belakang budaya.Kata kunci: bahan ajar, implikasi, tokoh melayu.

Abstract

This research intents to describe the plot and the characterization in novel Sepatu Dahlan by Khrisna Pabichara's and its implication to Indonesian learning at senior high school. The research method that is used is descriptive qualitative method. Data source in this research is come from Sepatu Dahlan novel by Khrisna Pabichara's. From the result analisis, plot of Sepatu Dahlan novel obtained events which supports the formation of a plot. The events are divided into several stages of plot so it can be know that the plot of the Sepatu Dahlan novel isthe combine plot. Chracterization in the Sepatu Dahlan novel using both methods, but showing method tends to be more widely used by the author in describing the characters. Sepatu Dahlan novel by Krishna Pabichara can be usedas an alternative instructional materials in senior high school literature.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaluran dan penokohan dalam novel Sepatu Dahlan karya Khrisna Pabichara serta implikasinya terhadap pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu novel Sepatu Dahlan karya Khrisna Pabichara.Dari hasil analisis, pengaluran dalam novel Sepatu Dahlan diperoleh peristiwa-peritiwa yang mendukung terbentuknya suatu alur. Peristiwa-peristiwa tersebut terbagi menjadi beberapa tahap alur, sehingga dapat diketahui alur pada novel Sepatu Dahlan adalah alur gabungan.Penokohan pada novel Sepatu Dahlan menggunakan kedua metode, tetapi metode showing cenderung lebih banyak digunakan oleh pengarang dalam menggambarkan watak tokoh.Novel Sepatu Dahlan karya Khrisna Pabichara dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif bahan pembelajaran sastra di SMA.Kata kunci: novel sepatu dahlan, pengaluran, penokohan.

Abstract

The problem of this research is how to the language of Aqua mineral water ad based on the function and ideology with the implication of Indonesian language learning in junior high school. The purpose of this research is to describe the function and identify the ideology from the advertisement, and also the implication in Indonesian language learning in junior high school. The method is the descriptive qualitative research. The source of the research is taken from 10 ads. The data collecting techniques in this research are observation and documentation techniques that observe Aqua mineral water ads in 2012-2013. Analysis technique that is used for this research is text analysis technique. Based on this research, the implication of Indonesian language from aspect function concerning the Indonesian language learning, especialy study activity. Cause, advertisment diction can be as source of Indonesian language learning.Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah bahasa iklan air mineral Aqua dari segi fungsi dan ideologi serta implikasinya pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMP. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan fungsi dari iklan air mineral Aqua serta mengidentifikasi ideologi dari iklan serta implikasinya dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMP. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah 10 iklan. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah teknik observasi dan dokumentasi, yakni meneliti iklan air mineral Aqua di stasiun televisi nasional pada periode 2012-2013. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis teks. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui implikasi bahasa iklan air mineral Aqua dari segi fungsi berpengaruh terhadap pembelajaran, khususnya dalam kegiatan belajar. Sebab, diksi pada iklan dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia.Kata kunci: bahasa iklan, ideologi iklan, iklan.

Abstract

This research problem was how the use of figure of speech in a collection of poems Sutradara Itu Menghapus Dialog Kita written by Sapardi Djoko Damono. The purpose of this study was to describe the use of figure of speech in a collection of poems and its learning in SMA. This research used qualitative descriptive method. Based on the results of data analysis it was found as many as sixty-five usage figure of speech. Figure of speech function is to increase the aesthetic effect, generating the additional images, convey the meaning effectively, giving the impression, increasing the intensity of the feeling of the poet, the other way in enriching the language dimension, and creates a certain mood state. Learning to understand the poetry is designed in the lesson plan to support the learning process.Masalah penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah penggunaan majas dalam kumpulan puisi Sutradara Itu Menghapus Dialog Kita karya Sapardi Djoko Damono. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan majas dalam kumpulan puisi dan pembelajarannya di SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data ditemukan sebanyak enam puluh lima penggunaan majas. Fungsi majas yaitu untuk menambah efek estetis, menghasilkan imaji tambahan, menyampaikan makna secara efektif, memberikan kesan, menambah intensitas perasaan penyair, cara lain dalam memperkaya dimensi bahasa, dan menciptakan keadaan perasaan hati tertentu. Pembelajaran memahami puisi dirancang dalam rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP) untuk menunjang proses belajar mengajar.Kata kunci: fungsi majas, penggunaan majas, rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran.

Abstract

The problem in this research is how the students’ response to Bumi Cinta novel written by  Habiburrahman El Shirazy. This research aimed to describe students’ response to Bumi Cinta novel and the appropriateness to Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia learning in Senior High School . The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. Subject of this research was students of  Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia study program. The result shows that the story of facts and the theme of novel is responded with have variation. Based on student responded, this novel become suitable as learning material for writing skill. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana tanggapan mahasiswa terhadap novel Bumi Cinta karya Habiburrahman El Shirazy. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tanggapan mahasiswa terhadap novel Bumi Cinta dan kelayakannya terhadap pembelajaran Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia di SMA. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fakta-fakta cerita dan tema ditanggapi dengan beragam. Berdasarkan tanggapan mahasiswa tersebut, novel ini layak dijadikan sebagai bahan ajar untuk keterampilan menulis.Kata kunci : kelayakan, novel, tanggapan.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to describe the use of Indonesian language in the mathematic textbook for grade VII of Junior High School/Islamic Junior High School published by The Ministry of Education and Culture. The method used in this research was a qualitative descriptive method. The results showed that the use of Indonesian language in mathematic textbook had been in accordance with the norm of Indonesian language, but still contain (1) 7,36% imprecision of spelling; (2) 1,04% imprecision of diction; and (3) 5,62% imprecision of effective sentence.Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan bahasa Indonesia dalam buku teks matematika untuk kelas VII SMP/MTs terbitan Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan bahasa Indonesia dalam buku teks matematika sudah sesuai dengan kaidah bahasa Indonesia, tetapi masih terdapat (1) 7,36% ketidaktepatan ejaan; (2) 1,04% ketidaktepatan diksi; dan (3) 5,62% ketidaktepatan kalimat efektif.Kata kunci: bahasa Indonesia, buku teks matematika, penggunaan.

Abstract

The problem of this research is how the representation of Sidoarjo mud flow victims attitude in the novel by Panca Javandalasta, and it’s wortheness as a literature learning source alternative at senior high school. This research is aimed to describe victims attitude representation, and decide it’s wortheness as a literature learning source alternative at senior high school. The method that is used in this research was a descriptive qualitative method. Data source in the research was taken from a novel Di Antara Lumpur, Mainanku Hilang by Panca Javandalasta. The result of this research is the representation of Sidoarjo mud flow victims attitude, which is represented by the main character in this novel, named Bayu, that shows how the mud flow caused harm for many people and getting them more suffer. A novel entitled Di Antara Lumpur, Mainanku Hilang deserve to became Indonesian literature learning source alternative at senior high school. It is seen by two aspects: literature and character education.Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana representasi sikap korban semburan lumpur Sidoarjo dalam novel karya Panca Javandalasta dan kelayakannya sebagai sumber belajar di Sekolah Menengah Atas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan representasi sikap korban dalam novel, dan menentukan kelayakannya sebagai sumber belajar sastra Indonesia di SMA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah novel Di Antara Lumpur, Mainanku Hilang karya Panca Javandalasta. Hasil penelitian berupa representasi sikap para korban, yang diceritakan oleh tokoh utama dalam novel ini, yaitu Bayu, yang memperlihatkan betapa semburan lumpur menyebabkan banyak orang yang dirugikan dan menderita. Novel Di Antara Lumpur, Mainanku Hilang layak dijadikan alternatif sumber belajar sastra Indonesia di SMA. Hal ini ditinjau dari dua aspek: kesastraan dan pendidikan karakter.Kata kunci: korban, representasi, sikap.

Abstract

The problem of this study is how the protagonist’s religious behavior in the novel Dzikir Ilalang (Kun Fayakun) by Andi Bombang and its worthiness as a teaching material of literature in Senior High School are. This study aims to describe the protagonist’s religious behavior in the novel Dzikir Ilalang (Kun Fayakun) by Andi Bombang and to determine its worthiness as a teaching material of Indonesian literature in Senior High School. The method of this study is descriptive qualitative method. The source of data in this study is the novel Dzikir Ilalang (Kun Fayakun) by Andi Bombang. The result of the study shows that religious behavior of the protagonist in this novel, Hardi, covers five dimensions: ideology, worship, intellectual, physical, and experience. In the ideology dimension, the Hardi’s character has strong belief in Allah, His prophets, His Alquran, and His kodrat and iradat, and His Islamic doctrines. In the worship dimension, the religious behavior of Hardi’s character is realized in his behavior which is doing prayers, liking zikir (a kind of chant), and praying. In the intellectual dimension, the Hardi’s character has knowledge and comprehension about his religious tenets. In addition, in the phisycal dimension, his religious behavior is realized in his behavior which is polite and respectful to adults, modest, helpful, caring about, generous, gentle, thankful, full of affection, independent, just, never giving up, liking to associate, wise, responsible, humble (qonaah), honest, keeping promises, obedient, and sincere. And finally, the religious behavior of Hardi’s character in the experience dimension is realized in the religious experience which he has and feels. The novel Dzikir Ilalang (Kun Fayakun) by Andi Bombang is worthy to be teaching material alternative of Indonesian literature in Senior High School. This is based on the criteria of the literature teaching material selection which is considered from the aspects of literature and of character education. Seeing from character education, Hardi’s religious behaviour can be a material for characters education. One of his religious behaviour that can be material for education character is his polite and respect attitude to his parents.  Key words: religious behavior, intellectual, worship

Abstract

The aim of the research was to describe the level of students' comprehension toward short story in the second grade students of SMP Dwi Warna Panjang, Bandar Lampung at the academic year of 2014/2015. This research used descriptive qualitative method. This research showed that the level of comprehension of students in general considered sufficient, it showed that students' had comprehend sufficiently about structure of short story. In particular, it could be explained that (1) eight students were catagorized as heigh, the students' already comprehen the structure of the short story, (2) seven students catagorized as enough, the students' comprehend the had already structure of the short story, and (3) ten students catagorized as low, the students' did not comprehend the structure of the short story.Tujuan penelitian ini digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat pemahaman siswa terhadap struktur cerita pendek di SMP Dwi Warna Panjang, Bandar Lampung kelas VII tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, tingkat pemahaman siswa secara umum dikategorikan cukup, yaitu menunjukkan siswa cukup memahami struktur cerita pendek. Secara khusus dapat dirinci (1) delapan siswa dikategorikan tinggi, yaitu siswa sudah memahami struktur cerita pendek; (2) tujuh siswa dikategorikan cukup, yaitu siswa cukup memahami struktur cerita pendek; dan (3) sepuluh siswa dikategorikan rendah, yaitu siswa tidak memahami struktur cerita pendek. Kata kunci: pemahaman, struktur cerpen, tingkat pemahaman.
