Abstract

Optical sensors are widely used in various industrial sectors, including petrochemical and medical industries, with applications ranging from oxygen level measurement, concentration of substances in a liquid, object detection, and more. Optical sensors can be used to detect the water content in oil, such as palm oil or other oils. In an industrial process, especially in the palm oil industry, the water content in oil must meet a maximum standard of 4.5%. Optical sensors can measure water content using various methods, such as Total Internal Reflection (TIR) or Mid-Infrared (MIR), and can be monitored in real-time using IoT-based applications. The utilization of sensitive optical technology takes advantage of changes in the refractive index caused by variations in water content in palm oil. The method employed involves the development of an optical sensor based on the Mid-Infrared principle, which measures the amount of light absorbed by water and the light reaching the sensor for comparison. The results of water content measurements in palm oil that have been conducted can only be implemented for water content measurements of 0-5% in palm oil, with a sensor response that is less than linear above 5% water content. By correcting the non-linearity error of the sensor, the data is reduced to produce measurement results that are closer to the actual water content in palm oil, which will be displayed on local monitoring and real-time or continuous monitoring through IoT using smartphones and PCs wirelessly via IoT-based applications

Abstract

The decline in the effectiveness of the learning process in schools is caused by suboptimal classroom management and a less than optimal work ethic among teachers. The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of classroom management and teacher work ethic on the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process in eighth-grade junior high schools. This research employs a quantitative method with a descriptive approach, involving a population of 160 eighth-grade students at SMPN 2 Pabelan, divided into 5 learning groups, each containing 32 students. The sample was taken using purposive sampling techniques and Slovin's formula, resulting in a sample size of 128. Data were collected through questionnaires, and the analysis was implemented using multiple linear regression tests. The findings of the study indicate that classroom management and teacher work ethic have a significant impact on the effectiveness of the learning process, both individually and collectively.

Abstract

This study explores the challenges in implementing education management systems at primary and secondary levels in Indonesia, particularly concerning quality disparities between urban and rural areas. The purpose of this research is to identify challenges in the implementation of education management, including aspects of teacher distribution, technology access, and curriculum flexibility, and to offer relevant solutions. The main issues include uneven teacher distribution, limited technology access in remote areas, and a rigid curriculum that is insufficiently responsive to local needs. This study uses a literature review method by analyzing various secondary sources, such as academic journals, government reports, and related publications, to gain a comprehensive understanding. The findings reveal that major challenges in education management include limited educational infrastructure in remote areas, uneven teacher distribution, and restricted access to professional training for teachers. The suggested solutions include evidence-based policy implementation, improved access to educational technology, and curriculum adjustments tailored to local contexts. This study emphasizes the importance of an adaptive, evidence-based management approach to address educational quality disparities across different regions in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively examine the management of education systems in Islamic higher education institutions in Indonesia using a systematic review approach. Islamic higher education institutions play a strategic role in fostering an excellent generation with strong Islamic character. Therefore, an effective, adaptive, and competitive education management system is essential. The research method used is a systematic review based on the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses) protocol. Data were collected through a search of scholarly articles in reputable databases such as Google Scholar, Scopus, and Sinta, using specific inclusion criteria. Thematic analysis was conducted to identify patterns, challenges, and solutions in education management. The findings indicate that the education management system in Islamic higher education institutions in Indonesia faces challenges, including a lack of synergy between government policies, internal management, and societal needs. Furthermore, the implementation of digital technology and the integration of Islamic values into the curriculum are key aspects for improving educational quality. Islamic higher education institutions in Indonesia encounter various challenges in implementing effective and sustainable education management systems. These challenges encompass diverse aspects of management, ranging from government policies and internal management quality to the ever-changing needs of society.

Abstract

Early marriage has become a controversial topic in religious and social studies, particularly from the perspective of Islamic law. Hadith provides guidance on marriage, which is often interpreted in diverse ways. This article examines early marriage from the perspective of hadith using Muhammad Shahrur's hermeneutics to understand the relevance of traditional views in a modern context. The study aims to explore Shahrur's interpretative method, which emphasizes contextualizing meaning, and to identify potential implications for Islamic marriage law. The method used is a qualitative approach with content analysis of hadith texts, supported by relevant literature. The findings indicate that Shahrur's hermeneutical method offers a new perspective on understanding hadith related to early marriage, which can strengthen arguments for adjusting the marriage age to align with socio-cultural conditions.

Abstract

Hubungan Masyarakat (Humas) di lembaga pendidikan memegang peranan strategis dalam membangun citra positif dan mendukung keberhasilan lembaga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran humas internal dan eksternal di SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Kepahiang dan memberikan rekomendasi strategi optimalisasi. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, penelitian ini melibatkan wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen di lima sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun beberapa sekolah memanfaatkan media sosial dan menjalin hubungan eksternal, pengelolaan humas belum optimal karena keterbatasan sumber daya manusia, kurangnya strategi komunikasi, dan minimnya penggunaan teknologi. Penelitian ini menawarkan rekomendasi yang disesuaikan dengan kondisi setempat, seperti penguatan komunikasi internal melalui forum rutin, optimalisasi media sosial, dan peningkatan kapasitas staf humas. Penerapan strategi tersebut diharapkan dapat meningkatkan citra positif sekolah, meningkatkan kepercayaan masyarakat, dan mendukung tujuan pendidikan yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi sistem manajemen risiko pada laboratorium kimia di perguruan tinggi Indonesia melalui studi multi-kasus. Dengan menggunakan metode review artikel, penelitian ini menganalisis implementasi, tantangan, dan faktor keberhasilan dalam penerapan sistem manajemen risiko di laboratorium kimia akademik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun terdapat variasi dalam pendekatan manajemen risiko, beberapa faktor kunci seperti kepemimpinan yang kuat, pelatihan komprehensif, dan keterlibatan pemangku kepentingan sangat penting untuk keberhasilan implementasi. Tantangan utama meliputi resistensi terhadap perubahan, keterbatasan sumber daya, dan kompleksitas dalam mengintegrasikan sistem manajemen risiko dengan sistem yang ada. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan berharga bagi institusi pendidikan tinggi di Indonesia dalam meningkatkan keamanan dan efektivitas manajemen risiko di laboratorium kimia mereka. Abstract

Laboratorium merupakan salah satu sarana yang penting dalam proses belajar mengajar. Laboratorium digunakan sebagai tempat praktik bagi para mahasiswa untuk menerapkan teori yang didapat dari perkuliahan serta sebagai tempat penelitian baik mahasiswa maupun dosen. Jurusan Kimia FMIPA Unila mempunyai 5 laboratorium kimia, antara lain: Laboratorium Kimia Dasar, Laboratorium Kimia Organik, Laboratorium Kimia Anorganik-Fisik, Laboratorium Kimia Analitik dan Instrumentasi, dan Laboratorium Biokimia. Bahan kimia mempunyai bahaya yang ditimbulkan antara lain bahaya terhadap kesehatan (health hazard), bahaya terhadap timbulnya kebakaran (fire hazard), bahaya  terhadap adanya air (reactivity), dan bahaya special (special hazard). Salah satu bahaya yang dihadapi pengguna laboratorium adalah risiko/bahaya terhadap kesehatan (health hazard). Tingkatan atau rating bahaya / risiko terhadap kesehatan dibagi menjadi 5 tingkatan yaitu 0 (minimal), 1 (ringan), 2 (sedang) 3 (serius), dan 4 (ekstrim). Pengklasifikasian penggunaan bahan kimia pada kegiatan praktikum di Laboratorium Kimia, Jurusan Kimia, FMIPA, UNILA berdasarkan tingkat bahaya/risiko kesehatan diperlukan guna memberi informasi dan pengetahuan tentang bahaya bahan kimia yang digunakan demi keamanan dan keselamatan kerja khususnya kesehatan bagi pengguna laboratorium. Sebagian besar tingkat bahaya bahan kimia terhadap kesehatan pada laboratorium kimia di Jurusan Kimia FMIPA Universitas Lampung adalah tingkat 2 (sedang) yaitu mempunyai karakter yang dapat menyebabkan bahaya bila paparan berlanjut, dan mungkin menyebabkan luka atau kerusakan kecuali dilakukan pengobatan.

Abstract

The use of media in learning should be able to facilitate the diverse learning needs of students. This study aims to determine the feasibility of developing interactive learning multimedia based on google sites on Archimedes' law material and to determine the practicality of developing interactive learning multimedia based on google sites on Archimedes' law material. This study uses the ADDIE development model which consists of five stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. With interactive learning multimedia based on google sites as the product being developed. Observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation are used as data collection techniques. Product validation is carried out by a material expert validator and a media expert validator, each of whom is one person and uses Likert scale criteria as a method of analysis on each validation sheet. Practicality is calculated from the responses of 24 grade IX students of SMP Angkasa Kupang on the practicality questionnaire during the product trial. The results in this study obtained a value of 97.92% by material experts and were stated very valid, 84.1% by media experts and were stated very valid, and the product trial obtained 87.06% with a very practical category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan manajemen sistem pendidikan di pesantren dengan pendekatan riset kepustakaan (library research). Data yang dikumpulkan berasal dari sumber-sumber literatur yang relevan, seperti buku, jurnal, laporan penelitian, dan referensi lain yang mendukung tema penelitian. Tahapan penelitian mencakup pengumpulan bahan pustaka, membaca, pencatatan, dan pengolahan informasi yang telah terkumpul. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis konten (content analysis), yang memungkinkan penarikan kesimpulan yang akurat berdasarkan dokumen dan sumber tertulis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem pengajaran di pesantren terbagi menjadi dua bentuk utama: sistem pembelajaran klasikal dan non-klasikal. Sistem klasikal mengadopsi model pendidikan modern, di mana santri dikelompokkan berdasarkan jenjang kelas dan tingkat kemampuan, meliputi Madrasah Ibtida’iyah, Tsanawiyah, Aliyah, dan I’dadiyyah. Sebaliknya, sistem pembelajaran non-klasikal dilakukan melalui metode sorogan dan bandongan, di mana santri mendapatkan bimbingan langsung dari kiai. Kurikulum pendidikan pesantren secara garis besar terdiri dari kelompok mata pelajaran utama: fiqih, hadis, Al-Qur’an, tauhid, bahasa Arab (Nahwu dan Sorof), tafsir, akidah, dan hadis. Setiap mata pelajaran ini diajarkan melalui kitab-kitab yang telah ditentukan sesuai jenjang kelas atau tingkat kemampuan santri, mendukung pembelajaran yang terstruktur dan mendalam
