Abstract

ABSTACT This Community Service Activity is an activity based on community assistance to write and produce a local history product for its own environment. This is based on an analysis of the situation and needs of the people who do not have historical records and only rely on memories. The method used is service learning, which is divided into two activities that are synchronous and asynchronous. Synchronous consists of delivering material and presentations, while asynchronous is in the form of guidance on writing Karawang toponyms. The participants who took part in this Community Service Activity were 62 history teachers who produced a history book on the toponym of Karawang. The results of this dedication show that history teachers have a strong interest in toponymy or local history. The process of finding sources, both literature study and field visits, provides an experience of researching history that strengthens soft skills in historical research. Abstract

Abstract

To become proficient in airway management, a physician must have a thorough understanding of the relevant anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the airway. Knowledge of the tools and techniques used in airway management is essential. In addition, understanding the indications, contraindications, and potential complications of endotracheal intubation is also crucial. Ensuring proper endotracheal tube (ETT) placement remains essential. Clinicians also need to recognize the differences between the airways in adults, children, and neonates, and master strategies for managing difficult airways, as part of the effort to achieve safe and effective airway control.

Abstract

Abstract: The concept of Mens Rea has been the foundation of criminal law for centuries, yet its relevance in contemporary crime contexts is increasingly questioned. This research aims to critically analyze the limitations and weaknesses of the Mens Rea concept in modern criminal law systems, focusing on evidentiary challenges, inadequacy in collective crimes, and systemic bias. Using normative legal research methods with a conceptual approach, this study analyzes legal literature, court decisions, and contemporary theories of criminal responsibility. The findings reveal that the Mens Rea concept faces three major challenges: difficulty in proving criminal intent that relies on subjective judicial interpretation, inadequacy of individual concepts in handling corporate and collective crimes, and bias favoring perpetrators from higher economic classes. In the digital era and modern crimes such as cybercrime, corporate environmental pollution, and systemic corruption, traditional Mens Rea concepts cannot capture the complexity of motivations and distribution of responsibility. This research recommends criminal law system reform by adopting a hybrid approach that combines considerations of intent, action, and objective impact, as well as developing the concept of "corporate mens rea" and impact-based approaches as alternatives to ensure substantive justice in handling contemporary crimes. Keywords: Mens Rea, Legal Ethics, Criminal Justice, Criminal Responsibility, Law.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the dynamics of changes in Sundanese identity after the Bubat War, and how this event continues to influence their views on history and culture into the contemporary era. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method with a historical approach. The purpose of this method is to understand the historical context in a structured manner and its impact on certain events or phenomena. The results of this study indicate that the Bubat War had a significant impact on the identity and culture of the Sundanese and Javanese people. This history not only left disappointment, but also created perspectives and cultural attitudes that were passed down from generation to generation. However, the positive impact of this event strengthened the identity of each tribe as an independent and competitive group. In addition, it can be said that in this modern era, the negative impact of the Bubat War itself has begun to erode and fade.

Abstract

Citizenship conversion is no longer a new thing in the international world. However, in the field of sports, the case of the naturalized Indonesian national football team diaspora is still often debated. The introduction of foreign talents is supported by national policies to strengthen the Indonesian national team towards the World Cup. This paper examines several legal concepts and various phenomena from a sociological perspective, such as nationalism and national identity in the lives of diaspora football players. The aim is to make the exchange of football players’ citizenship a case that needs to be discussed in the current status quo of sports in Indonesia. This research is methodologically based on the analysis of the mainstream press of naturalized Indonesian diaspora football players between 2020 - 2025, official documents of the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) and the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), as well as a review of various literature in the form of books and journals to examine the case of naturalized football players in Indonesia in the context of globalization, migration, citizenship, nationalism and national identity. As an implication, the Indonesian national team is one step closer to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which has never been achieved before; the enthusiasm of the Indonesian people to watch the match, both directly and indirectly, is very high, as well as many children who are interested in joining SSB because they see the progress of the Indonesian national team diaspora players. Recommendations from the research results are that naturalized diaspora players should be level A, still young, and play in the major league clubs of each country.

Abstract

The youth of Indonesia in the era of disruption face the problem of lacking understanding of local cultural philosophical values, which leads to the loss of moral values. To preserve local culture, it is essential to develop national character by internalizing local cultural values in behaviors and social interactions. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of utilizing character education booklet media for teaching history based on traditional dance at SMA Nizamia Andalusia. This study employs a research and development (R&D) model, specifically the 4D development model (define, design, develop, disseminate). The results indicate that the percentage of agreement from assessments by experts in media, language, and design reached 71.43%. This suggests that the booklet model is theoretically and practically suitable for use in learning. Furthermore, the effectiveness of the booklet model was analyzed through pretest and posttest evaluations. The analysis results show a significant increase in students' learning achievement, with an average pretest score of 78.76 and a posttest score of 99.56. The Wilcoxon test indicated significant results with a p-value of 0.000, suggesting that the use of the booklet positively contributes to the improvement of students' academic performance.

Abstract

In the Merdeka curriculum, local history is one of the essential materials. One of the most critical periods in local history in Malang is the cultuurstelsel period, but currently, there are no teaching materials about this period. HIMO is a printed local history module about the cultuurstelsel period with media integration that allows students to various conditions (regular and inclusive). This study aimed to measure the effectiveness of HIMO in improving local history understanding and learning motivation. This research method is R&D using the ADDIE model. In the analysis stage, the researcher analyzed student needs and the curriculum, which was continued with the design stage. In the development stage, HIMO was declared very feasible by material experts (average score of 98%) and teaching materials experts (average score of 89%) with several revisions. Furthermore, the implementation stage was carried out in an inclusive school in Malang (101 students as subjects) with research instruments in the form of comprehension tests and learning motivation questionnaires. Based on the implementation results, it was found that HIMO can improve understanding (94% of students) and learning motivation (average score 77%). Based on these results, at the evaluation stage, HIMO was declared suitable as local history teaching material for inclusive schools.
