Abstract

Shafts M36 made at PT. Padina Baraya Jaya is applied as a binder to the components in the backhoe hand construction equipment. Shafts M36 have a size of 36 482 mm in length, including (Æ25 x 100 mm), (Æ36 x 370 mm), and (Æ25 x 12 mm), in section Æ36 they are threaded with 4 mm screw depth. Shaft M36 is a threaded shaft that serves to bind one engine element to another to get a strong and easy machine construction in its installation and disassembly. The material used in makin Shaft M36 is SS41 steel material, with chemical composition namely (C) 0.14 - 0.22%, (Mn) 0.30 - 0.80%, (Si) ≤ 0.30, and with hardness 68 Hv. Machines used in making shafts M36 are C6132A lathe, 1000 mm working capacity, 350 mm swing. While the tools used are, the caliper, HSS lathe tool, chuck key, tool key / tool post, drill center. The process used is cutting material, face lathe, drill center lathe, standard lathe, and M36 screw lathe. The results of making shafts M36 are obtained by different sizes with working drawings, but still in the size of tolerance -0,1 and -0,2.

Abstract

The grinding station is the initial stage of the sugar production activity, the main machine used at this station consists of a cane cutter, a unigrator, and a grinding unit. Before the sugar cane material is entered into the pruning process, the unigrator process is used, which functions as a sugar cane chopper material. The unigrator machine is driven by a steam turbine which is a mover that converts the potential energy of the steam into kinetic energy and is then converted into mechanical energy in the form of a turbine shaft rotation. The purpose of this study was to determine the magnitude of the power needs of the unigrator and to determine the power of the steam turbine driving the unigrator to be able to obtain maximum sugarcane enumeration in PT. Rajawali II Sugar Factory Jatitujuh. The results of the study that analyzed the unigrator machine requires power 69.39 kw / Th, to get the maximum sugarcane count the obtained prepration index value of 93.3%, the higher the prepration index value, the better the performance of the extraction so that the milking process is getting maximum. In the steam turbine produces 160,559 J / sec turbine internal power, the effective power of the turbine generates 1,129 J / sec for the effective power for normal rotation to move the unigrator not too low and its rpm is high.

Abstract

The problem that often occurs in Hydroelectric Power Plant (HPP) is erratic water discharge in the reservoir so that variations in blade openings can be carried out in order to stabilize the flow of water entering the turbine. The occurrence of this problem will result in a decrease in turbine efficiency. Different causes - the difference is the variation of the guide blade opening also aims to stabilize the turbine rotation. variation of the guide blade opening and turbine shaft rotation as the independent variables namely ¾, ½, 1/3 and full openings, then for the rotation are 598, 560, 545 and 600 rpm. The efficiency produced at full openings is 93.35%, openings ¾ are 93.04%, openings ½ are 87.13% and openings 1/3 are 84.79%. So it can be concluded that the full openings have the highest efficiency.
