Abstract

MSMEs are a crucial pillar of the village economy, including in Rumpia Village, Majauleng District, Wajo Regency. However, limited digital technology utilization leads to suboptimal product promotion and marketing. This community service activity aims to provide outreach and mentoring for MSMEs in the use of digital platforms such as Google Business, WhatsApp Business, Instagram, and Facebook. The implementation method was door-to-door to be more effective in directly reaching business owners and providing guidance tailored to the needs of each MSME. Pre- and post-tests were conducted (before and after the outreach) to determine the extent of understanding of the use of digital tools in their businesses. The results of the activity showed an increase in MSMEs' understanding and skills in using digital platforms as a marketing tool. This success marks the first step in the digitalization of MSMEs in the village.

Abstract

Abstract With the education report card, the problems related to the quality of education in schools are clearly visible. The problems that currently exist at SMA BUDI MULIA that need to be improved are: quality of learning, numeracy skills, PMM usage activities, With the independent curriculum being a challenge in itself in order to direct diverse human resources in schools and mobilize learning communities. In improving the quality of education in schools, based on the education report card improvement program, the author created five mentoring programs with the term "BELISAMPO", namely: Education Report Card Review, Lesson Study, In House Training, Connecting Teachers and PMO Sharing. From the five programs carried out at school, changes emerged, including the implementation of routine lesson study activities, the formation of teacher community activities both in sharing good practices and using PMM. Several teachers have taken real action and received certificates. Then we conducted dissemination through the MGMP and FKSS communities. One of them is the formation of a lesson study community between schools.

Abstract

The development of WWTP in business activities needs to pay attention to getting appropriate WWTP that is more valuable to support sustainable development. This study aims to evaluate two systems of integrated biological WWTP; anaerobic-wetland, and anaerobic-aerobic-wetland, including the effectiveness of pollutant removal, operational and maintenance, and estimation of carbon emissions. The performance of pollutant removal was evaluated by analyzing inlet and outlet samples of WWTP. An operational and maintenance evaluation was carried out by studying the WWTP operating system and maintenance procedures supported by a literature review. Carbon emission estimation was carried out using a formula referring to the IPCC Guidelines (2006). Organic matter removal of anaerobic-aerobic-wetland WWTP in the form of BOD₅ and COD are 92.12% and 91.72%, respectively, higher than anaerobic-wetland WWTP are 88.69% of BOD₅ and 77.62% of COD. Anaerobic-aerobic-wetland WWTP needs more maintenance and operation than anaerobic-wetland WWTP. The highest carbon emission of both WWTP is 41530.91 kgCO₂ eq/year of anaerobic-wetland WWTP from the organic matter removal process and 46485.15 kgCO₂ eq/year of anaerobic-aerobic-wetland WWTP. Electrical energy consumption emits in anaerobic-aerobic-wetland WWTP is 22338 kgCO₂ eq/year higher than anaerobic-wetland WWTP at 4299.70 kgCO₂ eq/year. Total carbon emissions of anaerobic-wetland WWTP is 47404.58 kgCO₂ eq/year and anaerobic-aerobic-wetland WWTP is 68900.23 kgCO₂ eq/year.

Abstract

The diversity of family medicinal plants in Indonesia represents an important biological resource that supports public health and has considerable potential as a learning resource in biology; however, it has not been optimally utilized in senior high school biodiversity education. This study aims to identify medicinal plant species in Bulusari Village, analyze their distribution, and evaluate their potential as a biology learning resource based on local wisdom. The study employed an exploratory descriptive method with direct field observation and semi-structured interviews. Data collection was conducted using a total sampling technique, in which all medicinal plant species found in home gardens and surrounding village environments were recorded and identified. Data were analyzed descriptively based on botanical classification, distribution patterns, and medicinal uses. The results identified 25 medicinal plant species belonging to 19 families and 6 classes, with Asteraceae as the dominant family. The plants were distributed across cultivated home gardens and wild habitats. These findings indicate that the diversity of family medicinal plants in Bulusari Village has strong potential as a contextual biology learning resource for senior high school, supporting authentic, environment-based, and locally relevant learning.

Abstract

Biodiversity-based learning that utilizes local potential plays an important role in enhancing students’ understanding of biological concepts through direct interaction with real objects in their environment. This study aimed to identify Dendrobium orchid species found in Desa Nglurah, Tawangmangu District, Karanganyar Regency, and to analyze their potential as learning resources for senior high school biology, particularly on biodiversity topics. The research was conducted from May to August 2025 using a descriptive qualitative approach to describe field phenomena based on actual conditions. Data were collected through direct observations at several randomly selected sites and supported by descriptive notes, photographs, and records of morphological characteristics. Species identification was carried out using reference literature and Google Lens. Each encountered Dendrobium species was identified, and variations in flower morphology, color, and form were documented for classification purposes. The results revealed 26 Dendrobium orchid species classified into two main flower types: star-shaped flowers (22 species) and curly-shaped flowers (4 species). Flower color variations included white, pink, purple, golden brown, bluish purple, bright yellow, red, and bright green, most of which resulted from hybridization. These morphological variations reflect species-level biodiversity and align with senior high school biology learning outcomes. Therefore, Dendrobium orchids from Desa Nglurah have strong potential to be utilized as contextual and concrete learning resources. This study recommends further development of the identification results into biology learning media and teaching materials based on local potential.
