Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Cash on Delivery (COD) and PayLater payment methods on purchase decisions on the Shopee platform among students of the Management Department, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Medan. Using a quantitative approach with 200 respondents selected through purposive sampling, data were collected via questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that both COD and PayLater have a significant partial and simultaneous effect on purchase decisions, with a significance value of 0.000 and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.431. This indicates that these two payment methods explain 43.1% of the variation in students’ purchase decisions on Shopee.

Abstract

Public speaking is one of the essential interpersonal skills that must be possessed to compete in both the professional and entrepreneurial world, especially for the younger generation. Based on observations, many students still lack confidence when speaking in public, including students of SMK Saintek Nurul Muslimin. The seminar and training activity themed "Enhancing Understanding of Public Speaking as an Interpersonal Skill for the Young Generation Entering the Workforce and Entrepreneurship" aims to improve participants' understanding of the importance of public speaking as an interpersonal skill and equip them with effective public speaking techniques. The implementation method includes a seminar and training on the significance of interpersonal skills and how to become a good public speaker. Beyond theory, participants also have the opportunity to directly practice basic public speaking techniques and engage in role-playing with the speakers. This activity was conducted at SMK Saintek Nurul Muslimin and attended by 76 participants, comprising 12th-grade students from several schools in Batujaya Subdistrict and members of the general public. The results of this seminar and training indicate that participants were able to enhance their confidence in applying public speaking skills

Abstract

Digital image processing is a rapidly developing branch of computer science and has many applications in everyday life. One of the fields that most often utilizes this technique is object detection and color identification in images and videos. This study specifically aims to implement the thresholding method in the HSV (Hue, Saturation, Value) color space to detect three basic colors, namely red, green, and blue, in digital images. The research process begins with uploading images using the Google Colab platform, a cloud-based computing environment that makes it easy for users to run Python programs without requiring additional software installation. After the image is uploaded, the next step is to convert it from the RGB (Red, Green, Blue) color space to the HSV color space. This conversion is important because the HSV color space is more suitable for use in the color segmentation process. The Hue value represents the type of color, Saturation shows the level of saturation, while Value describes the level of brightness. Once the image is in the HSV color space, the next step is to determine the HSV value range for each basic color. This range is determined based on experimental results and references from related literature. Using this range, masking is performed to extract the appropriate pixels so that only the red, green, or blue portions of the image are visible, while the other colors are reduced. The results show that the thresholding method in the HSV color space is capable of detecting primary colors with a good level of visual accuracy, especially in simple images with contrasting backgrounds. The implementation of this program is relatively lightweight, easy to run directly in Google Colab, and does not require high-spec hardware. Therefore, this method is very suitable for use as basic learning material for digital image processing, both for students and novice researchers.

Abstract

Environmental changes resulting from oil palm plantation expansion have become a crucial issue in the discourse on sustainable development in Indonesia, particularly due to their impact on local communities and forest conditions. Although regulations such as the moratorium on oil palm expansion temporarily slowed deforestation, recent trends indicate that land conversion from forest to oil palm plantations is still ongoing. Local communities that have traditionally relied on forest resources are facing complex social, economic, and ecological pressures. This study aims to identify the key factors that shape the adaptive capacity of local communities to environmental changes caused by oil palm expansion. The research location is in the Parindu area, West Kalimantan. The method used is the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), with a pentahelix approach in determining key informants so that decision-making is participatory and multidimensional. The results of this study indicate that institutional resources are the most crucial factor in improving community adaptive capacity. Local institutions—both formal and informal—play a strategic role in bridging local culture with modern economic demands. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening local institutions to support community adaptation and promote sustainable, equitable, and locally-based development.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic caused significant disruption to Indonesia’s economy, severely affecting traditional commerce while accelerating the growth of e-commerce. Shopee, as the market leader, leveraged various marketing strategies, including its Shopee COD (Cash on Delivery) commercial jingle, to strengthen brand awareness and attract users. This study examines the quality of the Shopee COD commercial jingle, analyzes Generation Z customers’ attitudes toward it, and evaluates its influence on these attitudes. Using a quantitative, causal associative approach, data were collected via an online survey of 125 Generation Z respondents who had heard the jingle and used the Shopee application. The study adopts a five-dimensional jingle evaluation model (memorability, meaningfulness, likability, adaptability, protectability) and the ABC Model of Attitudes (affective, behavioral, cognitive) to analyze the relationship between jingle quality and customer attitudes. Results show a significant positive correlation between jingle quality and customer attitude, with jingle quality explaining 42% of the variance in attitudes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan penelitian yang dilakukan pada masyarakat yang menjadi konsumen pengguna pembiayaan UMKM Kabupaten Dompu, dengan menggunakan alat skala likert untuk mengukur omset usaha, kondisi usaha, riwayat pinjaman, karakter usaha, Pembiayaan, dengan judul “Analisis faktor faktor yang mempengaruhi Bank dalam memberikan pembiayaan UMKM, (studi kasus Bank Mandiri Cabang Dompu) ditinjau dari tingkat eksplanasi penelitian ini merupakan penelitan asosiatif dengan bentuk hubungan kausal. Adapaun populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh Karyawan Bank Mandiri Kabupaten Dompu. Penentuan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampel jenuh. Peneliti memiliki jumlah sampel sebanyak 27 sampel. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Analisis faktor faktor yang mempengaruhi Bank Mandiri dalammemberikan pembiayaan UMKM Kabupaten Dompu. Berdasarkan uji t menunjukkan bahwa omset usaha, kondisi usaha, riwayat pinjaman, dan karakter nasabah berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap pembiayaan UMKM Kabupaten Dompu dapat dilihat dari tabel hasil uji t untuk variabel pembiayaan UMKM pada bank Mandiri Kabupaten Dompu yaitu di ketahui bahwa nilai t hitung variabel omset usaha (0,962) > t tabel (0,381), kondisi usaha (0,995) > t tabel (0,381), riwayat pinjaman (0,988) > t tabel (0,381) dan karakter nasabah (1,165) > t tabel (0,381) Sehingga keputusan menerima Ha dan menolak H0, maka keemmpat variabel berpengaruh signifikan terhadap variabel pembiayaan UMKM (Y). sehingga dapat di simpulkan bahwa omset usaha, kondisi usaha, riwayat pinjaman, dan karakter nasabah berpengaruh terhadap pembiayaan UMKM pada Bank Mandiri Kabupaten Dompu.

Abstract

Plastic waste in Kartoharjo Village, Magetan Regency, poses a serious environmental challenge due to the community’s low awareness of waste segregation and independent waste management. The accumulation of non-biodegradable plastic waste negatively affects environmental cleanliness and public health. This study aims to provide a practical solution through the innovation of processing plastic waste into durable, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly paving blocks. The method employed was participatory action learning, engaging the community actively from problem identification, material collection, and technical training to the production process. Data were collected through preliminary surveys, in-depth interviews with village leaders, and participatory observation during the activities. The findings reveal that this innovation significantly reduces plastic waste volume, raises public awareness of recycling, and creates new entrepreneurial opportunities. The produced paving blocks are lightweight, water-resistant, moss-resistant, and suitable for local-scale construction. Socialization and training sessions conducted on July 29, 2025, were enthusiastically received, as reflected in active participation and the willingness of residents to apply the skills independently.

Abstract

Agribisnis merupakan sektor krusial dalam perekonomian global yang berperan penting dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan pangan dan pembangunan ekonomi. Di era digital, pengembangan agribisnis berkelanjutan menjadi semakin relevan dengan adanya berbagai tantangan dan peluang yang muncul akibat kemajuan teknologi. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi strategi pengembangan agribisnis berkelanjutan di era digital, dengan fokus pada identifikasi tantangan dan peluang yang ada. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur untuk menganalisis berbagai sumber yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tantangan utama dalam pengembangan agribisnis berkelanjutan meliputi keterbatasan infrastruktur teknologi di daerah pedesaan, rendahnya tingkat literasi digital di kalangan petani, dan kebutuhan akan investasi yang besar dalam adopsi teknologi baru. Namun, terdapat peluang besar yang dapat dimanfaatkan, seperti peningkatan efisiensi produksi melalui pertanian presisi, akses pasar yang lebih luas melalui platform digital, dan dukungan kebijakan pemerintah yang semakin pro-teknologi. Artikel ini menyarankan beberapa strategi untuk mengatasi tantangan dan memaksimalkan peluang tersebut, termasuk peningkatan investasi dalam infrastruktur teknologi, penyelenggaraan pelatihan digital bagi petani, serta pengembangan kemitraan antara pemerintah, sektor swasta, dan komunitas agribisnis. Dengan penerapan strategi yang tepat, diharapkan agribisnis berkelanjutan dapat terwujud, mendukung ketahanan pangan, dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan petani di era digital.

Abstract

Dalam meniliti peradaban Islam ada beberapa objek yang dapat dijadikan bahan kajian dalam penilitian dalam konsep apapun.Dalam konsep sejarah,umumnya jejak peradaban Islam yang dapat diteliti adalah makam-makam peninggalan peradaban yang biasanya merupakan makam tokoh-tokoh berpengaruh dalam penyebaran agama Islam,masjid,tempat pendidikan seperti sekolah-sekolah pendidikan Islam dan budaya yang sudah tersebar luas akibat pengaruh agama Islam yang hadir di suatu tempat. Dalam kesempatan ini,kami meniliti makam salah satu tokoh penyebaran agama Islam di suatu desa yang bernama Desa Amplas,Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan,Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Nama tokoh yang dimaksud adalah Syeikh Abdullah atau lebih dikenal dengan nama Datuk Tualang Pusu.Makam tersebut memang sudah dibangun dan dipugar agar lebih layak terlihat sebagai makam yang menjadi salah satu bukti peradaban Islam di desa tersebut,namun lingkungan sekitarnya masih kurang peduli terhadap keamanan makam tersebut sehingga kerap disalahgunakan sebagai tempat pemujaan makhluk halus dan menjadi tempat persugihan.Datuk Tualang Pusu belum terlalu dikenal oleh khalayak ramai karena riwayat yang menjelaskan tentang beliau. Pada umumnya,makam beliau dikenal dengan Keramat Kuda. Dengan demikian, kami meneliti makam tersebut dengan harapan dapat mempublikasikan makam tersebut dan mengembalikan posisi makam tersebut sebagai tempat yang layak untuk dikunjungi dengan tujuan yang benar

Abstract

The use of QRIS at Circle Coffee can influence consumer interest in facilitating non-cash payments and increasing payment efficiency. Researchers in this study found obstacles that limit the use of non-cash payments by consumers, or the lack of understanding of the community and the general public about QRIS. The purpose of this study is to see the effectiveness of QRIS payments in coffee shop businesses. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type of research and is descriptive. This research was conducted in a cafe shop (Circle Coffee) in Medan. Data analysis was carried out through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the use of QRIS payments as digital payments in coffee shop businesses is very effective. This is supported by the large number of consumers who prefer to use QRIS rather than cash as a means of payment. This study also provides an understanding that our society still needs further education about the use of digital payments.
