Abstract

 Abstract This study aimed to analyze the students' conceptions and calculating thepercentage of students’conceptions on material biodiversity in class X SMAN 1Pontianak which include: the diversity of genes, species and ecosystems,biodiversity of Indonesia (genes, species, ecosystems) flora, fauna andmicroorganisms, Wallace’s and Weber’s line also the uniqueness of the tropicalrain forests in Indonesia. The method used is descriptive method with a surveyform. Subjects in this study were students of class X Math and Science 1 and 2SMAN 1 Pontianak. The instrument used is a diagnostic test multiple choice,along with the reasons. Based on the recapitulation of the student profile in thematerial conception of biodiversity gained an average of conformityconceptions of students in the scientific concept 52.21%, misconceptions47.50%, and 0.29% of students did not answer or omit.Keywords: Analysis, students' conceptions, Biodiversity

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing  terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada submateri pencemaran lingkungan di kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Meliau. Bentuk penelitian adalah eksperimen semu dengan rancangan nonequivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas VIIC sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIIB  sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes pilihan ganda berjumlah 20 butir. Rata-rata skor hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen yang diajarkan menggunakan pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing sebesar 17,33 lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol yang diajarkan menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional sebesar 15,37. Hasil analisis uji t dengan signifikansi 0,05 menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Nilai effect size diperoleh sebesar 0,7 termasuk kategori sedang dan memberikan kontribusi sebesar 27,34%. Kata kunci: pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing, hasil belajar.  Abstract: The aimed of this research was to know the influence of the guided inquiry instruction on students learning outcomes in sub material of environmental contamination in class VII of SMP Negeri 3 Meliau. This research was a Quasi Eksperimental Design with  nonequivalent control group design. The research samples is class VIIC as the experimental class and class VIIB as the control class. The instrument used was the multiple choice test with a total of 20 items. The average score of students laerning outcomes the experimentasl class taught using guided inquiry instruction was 17,33 which was higher than the control class taught using conventional instruction at 15,37. The results of analysis t test with 0,05 signification shows that guided inquiry instruction giving the influence to students learning outcomes. The value of effect size was i.e. 0,7 which was in the medium category and contributed to 27,34%. Keywords: Guided Inquiry Instruction, Learning Outcomes.

Abstract

AbstractThe research aimed to determine the effect of the cooperative learning model  numbered heads together type assited by flipbook on student learning outcomes in the material of virus in class X SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak. The study was a quasy experimental research with a nonequivalent control group design. The sampling technique used intact group with class X-MIA-3 as the experimental class and class X-MIA-2 as the control. The instrument was in the form of a multiple choice test with 20 items. The average learning outcomes of exsperimental class which was 15,26 while the average in control class was 11,60. The results of U Mann-Whitney test showed that Zcount(-3,67) < -Ztable (-1,96), meaning that there were significant differences between the learning outcomes of students taught using cooperative learning model numbered heads together type assited by  flipbook and conventional model. Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research is to determine effect adobe flash based animation media toward student assesment at material plantae in class X SMA Mujahidin Pontianak. The research was a Quasy Experimental Design with Nonequivalent control group design. The sample of this research are X MIA 1 as experiment class and X MIA 2 as control class. The sampling technique is by saturated sampling. The instrument been used was multiple choice test that consists of 20 items. Average student assesment that had been animation media based adobe flash 15,55 was higher by those using power point 13,37. The t test obtained t obtained > t table  (3,52> 1,67), meaning that there were significant differences between students assesment that taught by adobe flash based animation media and power point. The conclusion was that learning by using animation media based on adobe flash can increase student’s learning outcomes in material plantae. Keywords: Adobe Flash Based Animation Media, Material Plantae.

Abstract

 AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility of a pocket book as a medium of learning on mushroom material of at the tenth grade of senior high school. This research was a qualitative research with descriptive method. Pocket book made as a medium of learning using double glossy paper side with a length of 13 cm and 9.2 cm wide. The pocket book consists of cover, introduction, table of contents, contents, bibliography and attachments. The pocket book was validated by five validators consisting of two lecturers of Biology Education Program, Faculty of Education Tanjungpura University and one of biology teacher at SMA Taruna Bumi Khatulistiwa, one biology teacher at SMA Kristen Maranatha and one of biology teacher of SMAN 1 Sungai Ambawang. Based on the results of media validation analysis that has been given by the five validators, then obtained the average total validation is 3.76 (valid) which means pocket book media worthy of use as a medium of learning on mushroom material tenth grade of senior high school. Keywords : medium of learning, mushroom, pocket book

Abstract

The research aimed to find out the effect of scientific approach using newspaper on student achievement and student activity on environmental pollution material ingrade X Senior High School Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak. This was a quasi experimental study using nonequivalent control group design. The samples of the research were grade X MIA 1 as an experimental group,  andgrade X  MIA 2 as ancontrolgroup. The instrument employed was multiple choice test consisting 20 question and observation sheet of student activity. The average score for student achievement on experimental group was 14,86 and 13,29 for control group. Based on Mann Whitney U test for Zcount(-2,42) < -Ztabel(-1,96), there was a significant difference between student achievement that used newspaper and picture those who did not use these media. The effect size score was 0,67 (moderate) gave effec tby 24,82%. Student activity on experimental group improvedby 7,41% and 4,29% for control group. It is shown that scientific approach using newspaper had an impact on student achievement and student activity on environmental pollution material ingrade X Senior High School Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas Project Based Learning (PjBL) terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada sub materi peranan virus di kelas X SMA Islam Bawari Pontianak. Bentuk penelitian adalah eksperimen semu (Quasi Eksperimental Design) dengan rancangan nonequivalent control group design.Sampel penelitian adalah kelas XA(kelas kontrol) yang berjumlah 31 siswa dan kelas XB (kelas eksperimen) yang berjumlah 32 siswa.Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah dengan intact group.Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes pilihan ganda yang berjumlah 20 butir. Dari hasil analisis data, diperoleh skor rata-rata hasil posttest siswa pada kelas eksperimen adalah 17,75, sedangkan skor rata-rata hasil posttest kelas kontrol adalah 15,64. Berdasarkan analisis uji U Mann Whitney menunjukan bahwa Zhitung ≤  Ztabel (-3,78 ≤ -1,96) disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan Project Based Learning (PjBL) dengan yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Berdasarkan nilai Effect size diketahui Project Based Learning (PjBL) memberikan kontribusi sebesar 27,34% terhadap hasil belajar. Kata kunci: hasil belajar, Project Based Laerning (PjBL), peranan virus, efektivitas. Abstract: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Project Based Learning (PjBL) on students’ learning outcomes for sub material the role of viruses in class X of SMA Islam Bawari Pontianak. The research method used was a quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control group. The sample was XA class (control class) which consists of 31 students and class XB (experimental class) which consists of 32 students, while the sampling wasintact group. The instrument used was a multiple choice test which consist of 20 items. From the analysis of the data, obtained an average score of posttest results of students in the experimental class which was 17.75, while the average score of posttest in control group was 15.64. Based on the analysis of U Mann Whitneytest showed that Zcount ≤ Ztable (-3.78 ≤ -1.96) that it can be concluded that there is a difference in students’ outcomes whom were taught by using Project Based Learning (PjBL) with those whom were taught by using conventional teaching. For effect size is 0,75, the category when effect size at convertation is medium. Based on the value of Effect size, it is known that Project Based Learning (PjBL) contributed 27.34% on the learning outcomes. Abstract

AbstractThis research seeks to identity the effect of guided inquiry learning model toward students? motivation and their achievement on a lesson about virus at Grade X of SMA 2 Sungai Ambawang. The research used quasi experimental design with a non-equivalent control group design. Data for this research were collected through intact group. Class XC was categorised as a experimental group and Class XA was referred to the control group. The research instruments were motivational questionnaires and tests. The result showed that the average percentage of motivation between experimental and control groups were 82.78% and 78.22%. The results of the Mann-Whitney U test, obtained by Zcount (-1.98) < -Ztable (-1.96) means that there are significant differences between the learning outcomes of students taught using Guided Inquiry and conventional learning models. Further, the mean value for test result were 14.67 and 13.37. The effect size was 0.46 which can be classified medium and had an effect by 17.72%. Keyword: Guided inquiry, learning motivation, virus test result

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the feasibility of flipbook media on biodiversity material based on the results of studies of ethnobotany of medicinal plants in the village of Seburing, Sambas regency, West Kalimantan and find out the types of plants in the village of Seburing that are used as medicine by the people of Seburing Village, Sambas Regency, Kalimantan West. This type of qualitative research, the method used is descriptive with the sampling technique using purposive sampling. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. From the results of the study, there were 50 types of medicinal plants consisting of 30 families. The results of the study were then implemented in the form of flipbook media. The flipbook media was tested for feasibility by two lecturers of the Biology FKIP Untan education study program, two Biology high school class teachers, namely SMA 1 Semparuk and SMAN 1 Selatiga in Sambas Regency and one Biology teacher in grade X Senior High School in Pontianak City. Based on the validator's assessment, flipbook is included in the valid category with a total average value of 0.99 validation and is suitable for use as a learning medium on biodiversity material. This research is expected to be able to make the general public, especially the Seburing village community, to always preserve the environment, especially the preservation of plants. Keywords: flipbook, medicinal plants, Seburing Village
