Abstract

Abstrak: Kajian Media Filter Limbah Rambut Manusia Terhadap Kadar Fe (Besi) Pada Air Sumur Gali di Komplek Perumahan Tiara Pesona Kelurahan Siantan Hulu Kota Pontianak. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian eksperimen. Sampel dalam penelitian ini dengan jumlah perlakuan terhadap objek penelitian sebanyak 3 variasi, 1 kontrol dan jumlah pengulangan sebanyak 6 kali, sehingga jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 24 sampel. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata kadar Fe kontrol adalah 4,191 mg/l, kadar Fe setelah dilakukan pengolahan dengan alat filter menggunakan limbah rambut manusia dengan variasi ketebalan 80 cm sebesar 3,224 mg/l, 100 cm sebesar 2,963 mg/l dan 120 cm sebesar 2,673 mg/l, dengan persentase penurunan kadar Fe dari setiap variasi ketebalan media yaitu 23%, 29% dan 36%. Uji anova didapatkan p<0,05 artinya ada perbedaan antara variasi ketebalan media filter 80 cm, 100 cm dan 120 cm menggunakan limbah rambut manusia terhadap penurunan kadar Fe pada air sumur gali.Abstract: The Examines The Media Filter of Humen Hair to Absorb Fe (Iron) in Dug Well Water at The Tiara Pesona Housing Complez in Siantan Hulu Village Pontianak Ciy. This is an experimental research. The sample in this study were treatments of the research objects as many as theree variations, one control and six repetitions, so the number of samples in this study were 24. The research showed that average level of control Fe was 4,191 mg/l, and the levels of Fe after filtration treatment using hair with thickness 80 cm of 3,224 mg/l, 100 cm of 2,963 mg/l and 120 cm of 2,673 mg/l, respectively with reduction percentage in Fe levels of each thickness variation of the media namely 23%, 29% and 36%. The anova test result was p>0,005 meaning there are differences between the variations in the thickness of the filter media 80 cm, 100 cm and 120 cm using human hair and decreased levels of iron in the dug well water.

Abstract

Abstrak: Efektivitas Kombinasi Cone Tray Aerator dan Media Filtrasi Cangkang Kerang dalam Menurunkan Kadar Besi (Fe) pada Air Sumur Gali di Wilayah Komplek Permata Ampera Pontianak. Jenis penelitian ini bersifat eksperimen semu (quasi experiment). Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pretest–posttest with control group design yaitu unit percobaan dikenakan perlakuan dengan dua kali pengukuran. Hasil penelitian kombinasi cone tray aerator dan media filtrasi cangkang kerang terbukti mampu menurunkan kadar Fe pada Air Sumur Gali. Efektifitas sesudah pengolahan 15 menit rata-rata penurunan 78,06 %, 30 menit rata-rata penurunan 80,98 %, 45 menit rata-rata penurunan 83,98 %, dan 60 menit rata-rata penurunan 86,28 %. Uji statistik nilai F sebesar 9167,972 dengan nilai signifikan sebesar 0,000 dimana < 0,05. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan. Bagi masyarakat di Kelurahan Sungai Bangkong RT 001 Blok C yang menggunakan sumber air sumur gali sebaiknya mengelola air dengan menggunakan kombinasi Cone Tray Aerator dan Media Filtrasi Cangkang Kerang terlebih dahulu sebelum digunakan.Abstract: The Effectiveness of Combination Cone Tray Aerator and Scallop Shell Filtration Medium to Reducing The Fe Degree on Well Water at Komplek Permata Ampera Region Pontianak. This research used quasi experiment which the research design used prestest-postest control group design which is a unit of experiment was conducted twice treatment measurements. The result of this research on combination cone tray aerator and scallop shell filtration medium was proven that was able reducing the Fe degree of water wells. The effectiveness after the treatment within 15 minutes has gained the reduction average at 78,06 %, 30 minutes has gained the reduction average at 80, 98%, while 45 minutes has gained the reduction average at 83, 98% and 60 minutes has gained the reduction average at 86, 28 %. In the statistic value of F was 9167, 972 with the significant of 0, 000 where < 0, 05. It showed that there were the significant differences. For the whole populations at Sungai Bangkong RT 001 Block C which uses well water as well as managing the water by combining cone tray aerator and scallop shell filtration medium firstly before using it.

Abstract

Abstrak: Gambaran Pengelolaan Limbah Cair di Puskesmas Kelurahan Terusan Mempawah Hilir. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode penelitian desktriftif untuk menggambarkan bagaimana Pengelolaan Limbah Cair Di Puskesmas Kelurahan Terusan Mempawah Hilir. Hasil penelitian ini, yaitu sumber limbah cair berasal dari ruangan KIA, laboratorium, poli gigi, ruang periksa, IGD, gudang obat dan toilet/WC. Air bersih yang digunakan di puskesmas sebanyak ± 400 liter/hari. Limbah yang dihasilkan sebanyak ± 506 liter/hari. Agar limbah cair yang dihasilkan oleh kegiatan puskesmas ini tidak mencemari lingkungan dan membahayakan petugas, pasien maupun ingkungan kerja sekitar, pihak puskesmas harus memperhatikan tempat pembuangan dan pengolahan air limbah yang dihasilkan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini, yaitu sumber limbah cair yang dominan dihasilkan dari ruang poli gigi. Jumlah limbah cair yang dihasilkan sebanyak ± 506 liter/hari. Rekomendasi IPAL untuk Puskesmas Kelurahan Terusan Mempawah Hilir menggunakan sistem anaerob-aerob sarang tawon.Abstract: Description of Liquid Waste Management at Puskesmas Kelurahan Terusan Mempawah Hilir. This research was conducted with descriptive research method to describe how Liquid Waste Management at Puskesmas Kelurahan Terusan Mempawah Hilir. The results of this study, namely the source of liquid waste derived from the room KIA, laboratory, dentist, examination room, IGD, warehouse and toilet / toilet. Clean water used in puskesmas is about ± 400 liters / day. Waste generated as much as ± 506 liters / day. In order for the liquid waste generated by this Puskesmas activity does not pollute the environment and endanger the officer, the patient and the surrounding work environment, the puskesmas must pay attention to the waste disposal site and waste treatment. The conclusion of this research is that the dominant source of liquid waste is generated from the dental poly room. The amount of liquid waste generated as much as ± 506 liters / day. The WWTP recommendation for the Puskesmas of Lower Basin Terusan Village uses anaerobe-aerob honeycomb system.

Abstract

Abstrak: Gambaran Sistem Pengolahan Air Baku di Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM) Kabupaten Sambas. Jenis penelitian ini  bersifat observasional dengan desain deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa hasil pengukuran air baku berbau, berasa, kekeruhan tinggi dan coliform tinggi. Air baku setelah melewati proses pengolahan menjadi tidak berbau, tidak berasa, kekeruhan mengalami penurunan dan coliform mengalami penurunan. Air bersih setelah didistribusikan kekeruhan dan coliform mengalami kenaikan. Faktor yang mempengaruhi naiknya tingkat kekeruhan karena endapan lumpur yang ada di dasar pipa ikut terbawa aliran air saat didistribusikan dan faktor yang mempengaruhi angka coliform meningkat karena botol pengambilan sampel yang kurang steril, cara pengambilan sampel yang belum efektif serta lama nya pengangkutan sampel dari tempat ke laboratorium mengakibatkan air terkontaminasi. Kesimpulannya adalah pengolahan air PDAM Sambas belum memenuhi standar kualitas air bersih yang telah ditetapkan khususnya pada parameter tingkat kekeruhan, warna dan pH, yaitu Permenkes Nomor 416/Menkes/Per/IX/ 1990.Abstract: The Description of Raw Water Treatment System at Regional Water Supply Company (PDAM) of Sambas District. This type of research is observational with descriptive design.These results indicate that the measurement of raw water odorless, tasteless, high turbidity and high coliform. The raw water after passing through the processing be no smell, no taste, turbidity and coliform decreased decreased. Distributed clean water after turbidity and coliform increases. Factors affecting the increase in turbidity levels because of silt at the bottom of the pipe carried on the flow of water when distributed and factors that affect the rate of coliform increased because the bottle sampling less sterile sampling technique that has not been effective as well as his longtime transporting the sample from the laboratory resulting in contaminated water. The conclusion is PDAM water treatment Sambas not meet water quality standards that have been set, especially on the parameter level of turbidity, color and pH, namely Decree number 416/Menkes/Per/IX/1990.

Abstract

Abstrak:       Kemampuan Tanaman Kayu Apu     (Pistia   Statiotes    Linn)     untuk Menurunkan      Kadar    Detergen    pada   Limbah    Cair   Laundry.  Penelitian   ini dilakukan dengan rancangan penelitian quasi experiment. Populasi penelitian adalah limbah cair yang dihasilkan dari proses laundry (pencucian pakaian). Analisis bivariat dengan menggunakan uji One Way Anova dan Paired Sample t-test. Variasi biomassa tanaman yang digunakan adalah 200 gram, 250 gram, 300 gram dan 400 gram dan dibagi menjadi enam kelompok, yaitu satu kelompok  kontrol (K) dan  lima kelompok perlakuan (A, B, C, D dan E). Fitoremediasi dilakukan selama  5 hari dengan pengambilan sampel setiap hari ke-l, hari ke-3 dan hari ke-S .. Hasil uji bivariat   One  Way Anova menunjukkan ada perbedaan antara variasi biomassa tanaman kayu apu (Pistia statiotes Linn) dengan penurunan kadar detergen (p= 0,000). .Sementara hasil analisis t-test  menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan kadar detergen sebelum dan sesudah fitoremediasi pada semua perlakuan variasi biomassa dan waktu kontak, kecuali pada perlakukan pertama dengan biomassa 200 gram dan 250 gram (p<0,05). Abstract:     The   Capabilityassessment        Of   Water    Lettuce    (Pistia  Stratioteslinn.)   to Reducing            The   Levels   Of  Detergent    on  The  Laundry    Liquid   Wastes.   This  research was   conducted    by   quasi   experimental     research    design.    The    study    population     is wastewater   generated   from  the  laundry  (washing   clothes).   The  bivariate   analysis   using One  Way Anova  and Paired  Sample  t-test.  Variation  of plant  biomass  used  is 200 grams,250  grams,  300  grams  and 400 grams  and  is divided  into six groups,  namely  the  controlgroup  (K)  and  five treatment   groups  (A, B, C, D and  E). Phytoremediation    is done  for 5 days with  sampling  every day,  l" day, 3th  day and  sth   day.The  results  of the bivariate  One Way  Anova  test  showed  no  difference   between   the  variation   of  biomass   water  lettuce (Pistia  statiotes   Linn)  with  decreased   levels  of detergent  (p=O.OOO).While  the  results  of the  analysis   of the  t-test  showed  that  there  are  differences   in levels  of  detergent   before and  after  treatment   of  phytoremediation    on  all  variations   of biomass   and  contact  time, except  on the first day with a biomass  of 200 grams  and 250 grams  (p<0.05).

Abstract

Abstrak: Efektivitas Kiambang sebagai Media Fitoremediasi terhadap Penurunan Kadar COD pada Limbah Cair Rumah Tangga. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menguji efektivitas kiambang sebagai media fitoremediasi terhadap penurunan kadar COD pada limbah cair rumah tangga tangga dengan variasi berat kiambang 650 g, 700 g, 750 g, 800g, dan 850 g selama 5 hari di Jl. Gusti Situt Machmud Gg Selat Karimata III Kelurahan Siantan Tengah Kecamatan Pontianak Utara. Pemanfaatan tanaman kiambang sebagai media fitoremediasi memiliki kemampuan yang efektif dalam menurunkan kadar COD pada limbah cair rumah tangga selama 5 hari yaitu 45,57 mg/l dengan persentase penurunan 80.18 % dan berat kiambang 650 g dalam 10 liter limbah cair rumah tangga, bahkan dapat menjernihkan air. Dalam penelitian sebaiknya tidak menggunakan 100% konsentrasi limbah cair rumah tangga, karena mengakibatkan kerontokan yang banyak pada tanaman ini. Pada saat membuang limbah sebaiknya diolah terlebih dahulu, agar tidak mencemari lingkungan dan menimbulkan segala penyakit.Abstract: Effectiveness of Salvinia Molesta as a Medium Phytoremediation to Decreased Levels of COD in Domestic Wastewater. The research purpose is to determine the effectiveness of Salvinia molesta phytoremediation as a medium phytoremediation to decreased levels of COD in domestic wastewater with variations Salvinia molesta weight 650 g, 700 g, 750 g, 800 g, and 850 g for 6 days on the road Gusti Situt Machmud Gg.Selat Karimata III Pontianak Siantan Village Middle District of North Pontianak. Salvinia molesta plant utilization as a medium for effective phytoremediation has ability in reducing COD levels in domestic wastewater for 5 days is 45.57 mg /l with a percentage of 80.18 % and a reduction in weight of 650 g Salvinia molesta in 10 liters of domestic wastewater, it can even purify water. In the study should not use 100 % concentration of domestic wastewater, because it resulted in the loss of much of this plants. When disposing of waste should be processed first, so as not to pollute the environment and lead to further research in the form of all diseases.

Abstract

Hospital as the health centers and health education institutions and research has both positive and negative impacts on the surrounding environment. One of the negative impacts is wastewater resulted from the activities of the hospital. Therefore, the waste must be processed by using wastewater treatment plants (WWTPS). Unfortunately , WWTPs at Soedarso Hospital do not work well and can't be functioned properly. The study is aimed at analyzing the performance of wastewater treatment plants by using SWOT analysis at Dr. Soedarso Hospital of Pontianak.An observational analytical design (non-experimental) and cross sectional approach were carried out in this study. The study revealed that the waste water resulted from data and direct observation showed that the results of the study show the value before treatment was 8.458 pH, BOD was 135.59 mg / L, COD seblum processing is 569.5 mg / L, and TSS treatment is 28 mg / L. There are several problems including malfunctioning of the WWTP. The strengths of the WWTPs were due to the availability of human resources, job descriptions, standard of operations, and facilities and infrastructure of waste management. The opportunities were due to the training center and the regulation of health minister about the health standard of the hospital. The weaknesses of the WWTPs were the lack of interest of the workers to join the training, the less detailed planning of waste management, the lack of compliance to the standards of waste management, the dysfunctional of the WWTPs, and the lack of electrical energy of the pump. While the threat was the parameter of wastewater which exceeded the quality standard NAB based Kep. No. Men LH. 51 1995 Based on the findings, it is highly recomended that Dr. Soedarso Hospital should utilize a solid organizational structure and create independent installation, improving the quality human resources by offering education opportunities for workers and providing facilities and infrastructure in accordance with the regulatory standards of the Health Minister, and preparing SOP management of waste water based on the regulations of Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia.

Abstract

Hospital wastewater derived from the laundry activities contains chemical compounds and pathogenic microorganisms that cause not only diseases to the surrounding community but also pollution. These effects increase the Biologycal Oxygent Demand (BOD) and the Chemical Oxygent Demand (COD) that lead foul-smelling and black-colored surface of the water. However, used syringe biofiltration can be employed to process this waste. This study aimed at testing the used syringe-biofiltration in reducing the BOD and COD levels in laundry waste at Dr. Soedarso hospital Pontianak. A quasi-experimental design with one group pretest posttest was carried out in this study. Laboratory test result showed that the average BOD level before processing was 103.63 mg/l and after processing into 46.41 mg/l, with an efficiency of 55.21 %. In addition, the average COD level before processing was 413.70 mg/l, and processing was 195.88 mg/l with an efficiency of 45.92 %. This study suggests the management of the hospital to pay more attention on the pH value and the use of blower in using used syringe biofiltration method and to consider used syringe biofiltration method to process wastewater.Keywords : Laundry waste, biofilter, used syringe, BOD, COD

Abstract

Tofu liquid waste contains suspended and dissolved solids. Suspended solid may reduce sunlight penetrasion into the water so that it can affect the regeration of oxygen and photosynthesis.nin addition, deposition and decomposition of organic materials can reduce the quality of the water that would influence turbidity of the water. The problem formulation of this study was the effectiviness of additional tamarind seed powder in lowering the total suspended solid levels in tofu wastewater. This study is aimed at discovering the effectiviness of additional tamarind seed powder in lowering the total suspended solid levels in tofu wastewater, measuring the value of total suspended solid before and after added by the tamarind seed fowder, and measuring the dose effectivity of 300 mg/l, 400 mg/l, 500 mg/l, 600 mg/l and 700 mg/l of tamarind seed powder in lowering the total suspended solid levels in tofu wastewater.A quasi experimental design and one group pretest posttest design were carried out in this study. The samples were 30 tofu wastewater. The jartest was conducted at laboratory of Environmental Health Politechnique. While the saple was analyzed at Laboratory of Soil Quality and Health of Agriculture Faculty of Tanjungpura University.The study revealed that there was a meaningful reduction of total suspended solid level before and after the treatment. The value of total suspended solid level before the treatment was 2937,6 mg/l. while the total suspended solid level after the treatment decreased to 1401,6 mg/l. Hence, the optimum dose of tamarind seed powder in lowering total suspended solid levels in tofu wastewater was 600 mg/l with the effectivity level of 54,104%.Keywords : Tofu wastewater, tamarind seed powder, Total Suspended Solid

Abstract

Air sangat penting untuk kesehatan manusia dan mempengaruhi semua aspek kehidupan. Masyarakat di sekitar parit Sungai Raya Dalam menggunakan air gambut sebagai alternatif air bersih. Air gambut mengandung kadar besi (Fe) dan intensitas warna yang tinggi sehingga tidak layak dipakai untuk keperluan sehari – hari karena akan berdampak buruk bagi kesehatan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektifitas intalasi pengolahan lengkap air gambut di parit Sungai Raya Dalam untuk menurunkan kadar Fe dan warna. Metode yang digunakan adalah melalui proses netralisasi, koagulasi, sedimentasi, filtrasi dan ultrafiltrasi. Penelitian ini bersifat eksperimen semu yang menggunakan desain penelitian one group pretest – posttest design with control. Analisis data menggunakan uji statistik T-Test. Hasil pengukuran laboratorium dari hasil pengolahan menunjukkan adanya penurunan kadar besi (Fe) sebelum pengolahan 5,60 mg/l saat air surut menjadi 0,13 mg/l dengan efektifitas penurunan 97,6% dan 6,29 mg/l saat air pasang menjadi 0,23 mg/l dengan efektifitas penurunan 96,1%. Warna sebelum pengolahan adalah 1202,31 PtCO saat air surut menjadi 21,13 PtCO dengan efektifitas penurunan 98,1% dan 1338,38 PtCO saat air pasang menjadi 22,25 PtCO dengan efektifitas penurunan 98,2%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah hasil olahan air gambut parit Sungai Raya Dalam menggunakan instalasi pengolahan lengkap dapat menghasilkan air bersih yang layak pakai sesuai dengan standar mutu Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan RI Nomor 416/Menkes/Per/IX/1990 tentang syarat – syarat dan pengawasan kualitas air, dimana baku mutu air untuk kadar besi (Fe) tidak melebihi 1,0 mg/L dan warna maksimum sebesar 50 PtCo.Saran bagi masyarakat yang menggunakan air yang mengandung air gambut sebaiknya di lakukan pengolahan secara sederhana dengan penambahan bahan penjernih seperti PAC dan tawas agar menjadi air bersih yang layak pakai.
