Abstract

The competitive Indonesian FMCG processed food industry, particularly in Bandung, challenges companies to maintain sales volume in a fragmented market with local competitors. This study analyzes the application of STP (Segmenting, Targeting, Positioning) strategy and branding by the motorized sales team of PT Madusari Nusaperdana Bandung Branch to increase sales volume. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, purposive sampling targeted 2 area coordinators, 5 experienced salespeople, and 10 strategic outlets from a population of 15-20 sales personnel. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation, analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model (reduction, presentation, triangulation verification). The results show comprehensive geographic-demographic-psychographic segmentation, selective targeting of Segment A/B outlets near schools/residential areas, practical-hygienic food positioning, and consistent Kimbo branding through sales as brand ambassadors. This synergy results in sales efficiency, high retail conversion, premium pricing, as well as B2B/B2C loyalty. The conclusion emphasizes that STP-branding integration is a critical success factor for processed food distribution through operational field execution.

Abstract

Sharia mutual funds are becoming increasingly popular investment instruments in Indonesia because they comply with sharia principles. This research analyzes the role of mutual funds in increasing economic activity in Indonesia. The research method used is a literature study with secondary data analysis from sharia mutual fund performance reports. The research results show that the performance of sharia mutual funds is quite good with competitive returns compared to conventional mutual funds. However, there are several obstacles such as minimal socialization, limited choice of sharia investment instruments, and low public sharia financial literacy. With good management and stakeholder support, sharia mutual funds have the potential to encourage the growth of the sharia finance and investment industry in Indonesia.

Abstract

Introduction: This study explores how postgraduate students at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta use online databases to improve the quality of their doctoral dissertations. It examines perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and factors influencing students’ willingness to use online databases during dissertation preparation. Research Methods: The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach using semi-structured interviews, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), and document analysis involving 30 doctoral students. Data Analysis: Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Matthew B. Miles and A. Michael Huberman, with triangulation and member checking applied to ensure validity and credibility. Results: The findings indicate that online database use enhances dissertation quality through five dimensions: expanded literature horizons, clearer identification of research gaps, stronger academic credibility, accelerated writing processes, and improved academic self-confidence. Challenges include limited access to premium databases, language barriers, interface complexity, and uneven information literacy. Conclusion: Acceptance of online databases shapes dissertation quality beyond usage intention. Perceived ease of use and usefulness translate into concrete academic outcomes, extending the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) by linking technology acceptance with academic quality in Islamic higher education.

Abstract

Tourism-based micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in supporting local economic activities, particularly in coastal tourism areas such as Pantai Carita. However, their high dependence on tourist arrivals exposes them to significant financial risks, including income instability, rising operational costs, and cash flow constraints. This community service activity aims to strengthen the financial risk management capacity of MSME actors through practical and context-based interventions. The program was conducted on 15–17 December 2025, involving 50 tourism MSME actors from culinary, rental, and service sectors. A participatory approach was applied through counseling and direct mentoring. Counseling sessions covered financial risk concepts and simple bookkeeping, while mentoring focused on the practical implementation of daily cash flow recording and risk identification. The results show significant quantitative improvements: understanding of financial risk increased from 22% to 78%, daily cash flow recording from 18% to 72%, and emergency fund allocation from 10% to 60%. In addition, the ability to identify business risks rose from 25% to 80%, while financial-based decision making improved from 28% to 73%. These results indicate that simple and practical interventions effectively enhance financial awareness, managerial capability, and adaptive behavior of MSMEs in managing business risks
