Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 4.0 era has changed the landscape of the world of manufacturing and technology with the integration of digital technology, automation and sophisticated data communications. The fashion industry in Indonesia is also not immune from the major impact of these changes, especially in marketing decision making. Big data analysis is crucial in optimizing marketing strategies by understanding consumer preferences, market trends and competition. However, the use of big data also brings challenges, especially regarding the security and privacy of consumer data. This research adopts a qualitative method with a literature review approach to investigate the use of big data in marketing decision making in the Indonesian fashion industry. The research results show that big data plays an important role in customer segmentation, consumer behavior analysis, trend prediction, and product innovation. The benefits companies gain from implementing big data include deep understanding of consumer behavior, fast decision making, operational efficiency, better risk management, product and service innovation, improved customer experience, and dynamic price adjustments. However, the challenges faced include data security risks, personal identification risks, and compliance with global privacy regulations. Assessment of the readiness of Indonesian fashion industry companies to adopt big data involves evaluating technology infrastructure, data analysis skills, awareness of big data concepts, data security and privacy, understanding customer behavior, technology adoption, ability to process real-time data, budget availability, readiness for innovation, and acceptance of organizational culture. By considering these aspects, companies can evaluate the extent to which they are ready to integrate big data in marketing decision making to achieve success in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era.

Abstract

In an era of rapid global change, modern companies face increasing economic, social and environmental pressures. The concept of Environmental, Social and Governance Integration (ESG) is crucial in managing a company, covering three critical dimensions: Environmental, Social and Governance. This research highlights the impact of ESG on financial decisions and corporate performance. Through multiple linear regression analysis on panel data of manufacturing companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for 2020-2022, the results show that ESG has a significant contribution with an R Square value of 0.798. Increasing ESG scores is positively related to financial performance, and corporate decisions also have a significant positive influence. These findings provide valuable guidance for companies in understanding and optimizing ESG factors to enhance long-term resilience and growth. While these findings are relevant, future research could broaden the scope to other industry sectors and involve more in-depth analysis of the mechanisms underlying the relationship of ESG, corporate decisions, and financial performance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the work productivity of corn farmers and to examine the relationship between the effectiveness of agricultural extension workers' roles and the work productivity of farmers in Gentuma Raya District. The study employs a qualitative descriptive method, collecting data through in-depth interviews and field observations. The findings indicate that the role of extension workers in Gentuma Raya District is considered quite effective, with extension workers providing training, technical guidance, and information on modern agricultural techniques that can enhance work productivity among farmers. However, despite effective extension services, there are still challenges such as limited access to technology and high costs, which affect farmers' ability to adopt new technologies. The effectiveness of extension services shows a positive and significant relationship with work productivity, although other factors, such as climatic changes and lack of production resources, also impact agricultural yields. Therefore, continuous extension services are crucial to overcoming these barriers and optimizing the work productivity of corn farmers.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the capacity of farmers through socialization and training in the production of Biosaka elicitors in Telaga Biru District, Gorontalo Regency. Biosaka is a natural elicitor produced by the manual crushing of healthy plants in pure water, not fertilizers, hormones, or enzymes, thereby triggering the plant's natural defense response and holistically improving soil health. The activity was carried out on April 26, 2024, at the local Agricultural Extension Center (BPP), involving a group of farmers selected based on their high dependence on synthetic chemical inputs. The methodology of the activity combined interactive lectures, reflective discussions, and hands-on training guided by agricultural extension workers. The results showed that all participants were able to correctly understand the concept of Biosaka and successfully produced the elicitor independently with consistent quality—characterized by visual features (no sedimentation, no foaming, thick and shiny appearance) and an increase in the average Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) value of 250–350 ppm. Beyond the technical aspects, this activity built collective awareness of the importance of reducing dependence on chemical fertilizers and transitioning to sustainable agricultural practices based on local resources. By actively involving farmers and supported by local agricultural extension workers, this activity became the first step towards realizing more independent, environmentally friendly, and equitable agriculture in Telaga Biru District.
