Abstract

This research is a descriptive study which aims to determine the level of understanding of the 2019 FIKK UNM Physical Education, Health and Recreation Study Program students regarding teacher competency. The data collection technique was carried out by surveying 50 students. Data collection was carried out with a questionnaire of 50 questions using the Guttman scale. Analysis uses descriptive tests which are then grouped into 5 (five) categories. Based on the research results, it is known that the understanding of the students of the Physical Education, Health and Recreation Study Program FIKK UNM, namely 5 people or 10% are in the "very poor" category, 10 people or 20% are in the "poor" category, 17 people or 34% are in the medium category, 18 people or 35% were in the "good" category, and none were in the very good category. So it can be concluded that the majority of students' understanding of teacher competency is in the "good" category.

Abstract

This research is an experimental research conducted to find out whether rubber paralon jumping training can improve the squatting style long jump ability of PJKR-SD FIK UNM students. This research was conducted at the Faculty of Sports Science, Makassar State University in the odd semester of 2024. The sample in this research was 20 male students of the PJKR-SD FIK UNM Study Program, which was determined using a random sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out using the paired sample t test using the SPSS application. Based on the results of data analysis, the sig (2-tailed) value of the pre-test and post-test data for students' squatting style long jump ability was 0.000 or <0.05 with a difference in mean value of -18.050. So it can be concluded that rubber paralon jumping training has been proven to be able to improve the long jump squatting style of PJKR-SD FIK UNM students.

Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini bersumber dari kenyataan bahwa siswa usia sekolah dasar memiliki jumlah siswa yang tidak mempraktekkan perilaku hidup sehat. Objektif penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan atau mendeskripsikan perilaku hidup sehat siswa usia sekolah dasar meliputi perilaku menjaga kesehatan diri, mencuci tangan dengan air mengalir dan sabun, makan jajanan yang bersih dan sehat, menggunakan jamban yang bersih, berolahraga secara teratur, pemberantasan jentik nyamuk, menimbang diri, dan banyak lagi. Bentuk penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif, yaitu menjelaskan seperti apa faktor, gejala, atau situasi tertentu. Purposive sampling digunakan untuk mengambil sampel populasi yang berjumlah 50 siswa usia sekolah dasar. Responden diberikan kuesioner untuk diisi, kemudian data diolah dengan menggunakan rumus distribusi frekuensi atau pendekatan persentase. Kajian Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat siswa usia sekolah dasar dengan persentase 68,71% berada pada kategori cukup, sesuai dengan temuan penelitian yang dilakukan di siswa usia sekolah dasar tentang kajian perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat siswa di sekolah pada umumnya. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa masih ada ruang untuk perbaikan karena siswa masih belum mempraktekkan kebiasaan hidup sehat di sekolah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pola gerak tolak peluru gaya menyamping mahasiswa FIK UNM Prodi Penjaskesrek ke SD-an.Untuk mengumpulkan data digunakan metode survei dengan memanfaatkan rubrik penilaian pola gerak kemampuan tolak peluru gaya menyamping sebagai acuan penilaian. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 42 orang mahasiswa yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Adapun kriteri yang digunakan dalam pemilihan sampel adalah mahasiswa dalam kondisi sehat, mengambil mata kuliah atetik, dan hadir pada saat tes dilakukan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui kemampuan pola gerak tolak peluru gaya menyamping mahasiswa yang berada pada kategori “sangat kurang” sebanyak 2 orang (4,8%), kategori kurang sebanyak 12 orang (28,6%), kategori “sedang” sebanyak 11 orang (26,2%), kategori “baik” sebanyak 15 orang (35,7%), dan kategori “sangat baik” sebanyak 2 orang (4,8%). Sehingga dengan melihat hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat kemampuan pola gerak tolak peluru gaya menyamping mahasiswa FIK UNM Prodi Penjaskesrek ke SD-an berada pada kategori “baik”.

Abstract

Gross motor development is very important for children. The development of children's gross motor skills requires assistance from educators in educational institutions. The ability to carry out movements and physical actions for a child is related to self-confidence and forming a self-concept. One way to maintain body fitness is through rhythmic exercise. Rhythmic gymnastics are gymnastic movements or free movements accompanied by music that matches the rhythm that follows the movements. Rhythmic gymnastics aims to develop movement abilities, such as developing muscle endurance, strength, flexibility, agility and balance through physical activities, namely playing and exercising which are carried out systematically, directed and planned. Children who are directly involved in rhythmic gymnastics activities will develop flexibility and coordination. To improve a child's gross motor skills, training is needed that is appropriate to the child's characteristics. Gross motor development will be optimal if physical activities are carried out to stimulate it. First, perform coordinated body movements to train flexibility, balance and agility. Second, coordinate the movements of the legs, hands and head in imitating dance or gymnastics. Third, play a physical game with rules. Fourth, be skilled in using your right and left hands. Fifth, carry out personal hygiene activities.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan model latihan SKIFA (Sistem Komprehensif Instrumen dan Formasi Aksi) kepada pengurus Ikatan Pencak Silat Indonesia (IPSI) di Polewali Mandar. Model ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan keterampilan tendangan pesilat melalui pendekatan yang terstruktur dan terukur. Kegiatan pengabdian berlangsung selama empat bulan, dengan melibatkan 30 peserta yang terdiri dari pengurus IPSI dan pelatih pencak silat. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini mencakup ceramah, demonstrasi, diskusi, dan evaluasi. Evaluasi dilakukan untuk mengukur peningkatan akurasi tendangan, keseimbangan, dan kecepatan reaksi peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa 80% peserta berhasil meningkatkan akurasi tendangan, terutama dalam latihan tendangan pada sasaran (Kick On Target Train). Selain itu, 75% peserta mengalami peningkatan dalam keseimbangan dan kelincahan setelah menjalani latihan tendangan bayangan (Kick Shadow Train). Sebanyak 70% peserta menunjukkan peningkatan kecepatan reaksi terhadap serangan lawan melalui latihan berpasangan (Sparring Partner). Model latihan SKIFA terbukti efektif dalam membantu peserta menguasai teknik tendangan secara sistematis, serta meningkatkan keterampilan fisik dan mental mereka.

Abstract

Futsal merupakan salah satu cabang olahraga permainan yang cukup populer di Indonesia. Futsal masuk ke Indonesia pada Tahun 1998, kemudian pada Tahun 2000-an, futsal mulai dikenal masyarakat. Pada tahun 2010 AFC meminta Indonesia untuk menggelar kejuaraan Piala Asia. Sejak itulah futsal berkembang dengan pesat di Indonesia hingga saat ini. Perkembangan futsal juga berkembang pesat di kalangan sekolah, ini dibuktikan dengan adanya ekstrakurikuler di sekolah-sekolah. Menurut Charlim (2011:4) bahwa: Futsal adalah suatu jenis olahraga yang memiliki aturan tegas tentang kontak fisik. Sliding tackle (menjegal dari belakang), body charge (benturan badan), dan aspek kekerasan lain seperti dalam permainan sepak bola tidak di izinkan dalam futsal. Adapun yang dijelaskan Lhaksana, Justinus (2011: 7) mengatakan bahwa ‘‘siapa yang mencetak gol sama sekali tidak penting, yang penting adalah gol yanh tercetak. menang dan kalah itu terjadi diseluruh olahraga, tetapi if you die, you die with honour’’. Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler merupakan kegiatan yang dilaksanakan di luar jam pelajaran formal dan merupakan salah satu upaya pembinaan bagi pelajar. Program ekstrakurikuler ini diperuntukkan bagi siswa yang ingin mengembangkan bakat dan kegemarannya dalam cabang olahraga futsal serta lebih membiasakan hidup sehat (Depdikbud, 2002: 25). Hasil pada pengabdian ini hampir 80% Masyarakat sudah bisa melakukan dengan baik dan benar teknik tersebut.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative descriptive research. The subjects in the study were students of the extracurricular boxing Panjaguru Upt SMAN 7 Makassar. The research instrument used was the Jab And Straight Punch Speed Test. The number of samples used was 15 people. The processing of research data used descriptive statistics while the data analysis technique used was percentage. The results of the study of the ability to pass under the Jab And Straight Punches of Extracurricular Boxing Athletes Panjaguru Upt Sma Negeri 7 Jeneponto, for the "Very Good" category there were 0 students or 0%, the "Good" category there were 5 students or 33%, the "Enough" category there were 4 students or 27%, the "Less" category there were 4 students or 27%, the "Very Less" category there were 2 students or 13%. It can be concluded that the ability of volleyball underhand passing in SMAN 5 Soppeng students is in the "Good" category. While the results of the study of Smash ability of SMAN 5 Soppeng students for the "Very Good" category are 0 students or 0%, the "Good" category is 3 students or 20.0%, the "Enough" category is 9 students or 60.0%, the "Less" category is 2 students or 13.3%, the "Very Less" category is 1 student or 6.7%. It can be concluded that the Jab And Straight Punch of the Extracurricular Boxing Athletes of Panjaguru Upt SMA Negeri 7 Jeneponto is in the "Enough" category.

Abstract

High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) has gained widespread attention as a method for improving cardiovascular fitness. This study aims to review existing literature regarding the effectiveness of HIIT in improving cardiovascular fitness in young adults. This literature research involved the collection and analysis of articles published in various scientific journals from 2010 to 2023. The keywords used in the search were "High-Intensity Interval Training", "cardiovascular fitness", and "young adults". Inclusion criteria included studies measuring the impact of HIIT on VO2 max and other cardiovascular parameters in healthy young adult subjects. Literature analysis shows that HIIT can significantly increase VO2 max in young adults, an important indicator of cardiovascular fitness. This increase is supported by physiological changes that occur in the body, including increased mitochondrial capacity and oxygen use efficiency. Studies also show improvements in cardiovascular parameters such as blood pressure and lipid profile. HIIT is an effective exercise method for improving cardiovascular fitness in young adults. The significant advantage of HIIT lies in its short workout duration yet providing optimal results, making it an attractive option for individuals with limited time. However, more research is needed to examine the long-term effects and more detailed physiological adaptations to HIIT in a broader population.

Abstract

Increasing jumping ability is one of the key factors in achieving achievements in volleyball. Plyometric training, known to be effective in improving jumping ability and muscle strength, has been the focus of this study to evaluate its effects on volleyball athletes. Through comprehensive literature analysis, this research aims to collect and synthesize data from various existing studies regarding the application of plyometric training in volleyball training, to understand the concrete benefits of this training method on improving athletes' jumping abilities. A literature search was carried out on various databases and scientific journals that publish research related to sport, fitness and exercise physiology, with certain inclusion criteria to ensure the relevance and quality of the data. The results of the analysis show that plyometric training significantly contributes to improving the jumping performance of volleyball athletes. This is reflected in increased vertical jump performance, reaction time, and muscle contraction speed which are vital in volleyball games. The implementation of plyometric training that is structured and adaptive to the needs of individual athletes shows more optimal results, indicating that personalization of training plays an important role. Additionally, the integration of plyometric exercises with the overall training program, including aspects of strength, speed, and endurance, was identified as an effective strategy for achieving maximum results. Based on these findings, it is concluded that plyometric training is an important component in volleyball training to improve athletes' jumping ability. This research recommends the use of plyometric training as part of a volleyball athlete's preparation, while paying attention to individual needs and preventing the risk of injury to maximize the benefits of training.
