Abstract

Children's stories in Bobo Magazine and Kompas Daily represent both levels of praconventional and conventional moral reasoning. From these two levels of moral reasoning, there are three stages of a child's moral reasoning, namely moral reasoning for obedience of punishment, relativist-instrument moral reasoning, and moral reasoning of a good child. Of these three moral reasoning, the dominant moral reasoning of children is the relativist-instrument and the orientation of a good child, while obedience reasoning does not dominate. This shows that mutual moral awareness of children is transactional and existential, namely children are conditioned to do good because they want to get a prize, and awareness of their desire to be good children. With the reality of such children's stories, our children who read children's stories wake up to the realization that I am doing good because of the gifts and awareness to be a good child.

Abstract

Literacy on Islamic social ecology is the human interaction with the natural environment, technology, and social which is based on the basic principles of Islam. Reconstruction of literacy on Islamic social ecology that can be reconstructed is a basic tenet of Islam that affirms the human position as a "leader" by "mandate" to manage "Earth" or "natural environment and natural resources" as well as possible. Reconstruction of ecological literacy is then to be actualized in society. The process of actualization is actual activity in instilling awareness of the social ecology of Islam in the society which is done in the social space of families, communities, and schools organized by the state through policies and regulations. With the process of reconstruction and actualization, then the state will actively build social-ecological awareness of Islam in order to realize a base of awareness, knowledge, and values of Islamic social ecology in society.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim to determine the level of critical thinking of students in solving open ended mathematics problem. This type of research is qualitative. The subjects of this study were 3 students of class VIII who had been chosen purposively is students with high mathematical abilities. Data Validity Test uses triangulation techniques. Data collection techniques using critical thinking test questions. The results showed that students with high mathematical abilities reached level 3 in critical thinking.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the algebraic thinking process of students in solving open-ended mathematical problems. The research method used was literature review through books, journals, and similar previous research. The results of the study of various literature are that there are three processes in thinking algebra when students are faced with open-ended based problems including understanding patterns, representing, and solving. In the first stage is,  understanding patterns students understand the patterns shown by writing important statements in the problem or stating the patterns in the form of images. At the stage of representing students doing symbolic manipulation of patterns in the form of equations containing coefficients, variables, and constants. At the stage of completing students use the right strategy so that a variety of alternative answers correct. Open-ended can be seen when students go through the stages of understanding patterns and completing.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the written mathematical communication skills possessed by junior high school students. The material used is a flat quadrilateral. The subjects in this study were students of class VII E at SMP Negeri 4 Purworejo. Data collection techniques used observation, mathematical communication skills test results, interview results, and documentation study. The analysis technique used is in the form of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of research and discussion, junior high school students' written mathematical communication skills on rectangular plane material are classified as high-level mathematical communication skills and have been able to achieve all indicators of mathematical communication skills.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui level berpikir kritis siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah open ended matematika. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini 3 siswa kelas VIII yang telah dipilih secara purposive yaitu siswa dengan kemampuan matematika tinggi. Uji Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi teknik. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan soal tes berpikir kritis. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa siswa dengan kemampuan matematika tinggi bisa memenuhi semua indikator berpikir kritis.

Abstract

Artikel ini merupakan kegiatan IbM yang bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada guru dalam membuat konten e-learning melalui Microsoft Learning Content Development System (LCDS). Tahap pengembangan konten e-learning melalui LCDS adalah sebagai berikut: 1) Create, 2) Preview, 3) Refine, dan 4) Delight. Luaran dan target kegiatan adalah guru mampu membuat dan menyajikan konten pembelajaran melalui sistem e-learning yang dapat menunjang pelaksanaan online learning di sekolah mitra (SMA Muhammadiyah Purworejo dan SMP Muhammadiyah Purworejo). Metode pendekatan yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan ini adalah: 1) Perencanaan (analisis kebutuhan dan survey), 2) Koordinasi dengan sekolah mitra, 3) Penyusunan modul dan materi pelatihan, 4) Kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan konten e-learning bagi guru, 5) Pengembangan mandiri bagi guru, dan 6) evaluasi. Melalui tahapan-tahapan kegiatan tersebut, tujuan kegiatan dapat tercapai dengan baik dan tuntas. Guru-guru mengikuti pelatihan dengan seksama, sehingga dapat dikatakan kegiatan ini dapat terlaksana dengan baik. Beberapa sarana untuk menunjang proses penyajian konten e-learning ini adalah ketersediaan web site dan jaringan internet di sekolah. Dengan demikian, ketersediaan sarana mutlak diperlukan dalam upaya pelaksanaan e-learning sebagai inovasi pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah.

Abstract

Abstract: Creative learning is learning that rets on four basic foundation, namely learning fun designed for children; learn to be more than getting a good value, but is to produce work in the form of learning: intellectual, creative permormance, and educational activities; learning always appreciated the value and the publication of the teacher; and learning that can improve the child's motivation to learn. With four foundsations above, this creative learning will be formed: children are intellegent, that who could resolve the issue of learning in accordance with the breadth of his knowledge; a creative child, the child can actualize ideas and feelings in concrete; and children who have personality and good character in their daily lives. Abstract

Abstract : Learning the story means the active action, interactive, and creative among (young) students with teachers in understanding the story as a medium of instruction, the stories read or recited by teachers for students. This confirms that the story as a learning medium used to establish interaction between pupils with the teacher, so that the active and creative interaction, children can gain knowledge related to an increase in intellectual, affective, psychomotor, linguistic, and social sensitivity of students. Creating the next generation of human beings who have a love for nature and the environment are important, one way that can be taken is to create contextual language learning that prioritizes the side effect of implanting the love to the environment since childhood. Abstract

Liver abscess is a public health problem in few countries in Asia, Africa, and South America.1 As time goes, there were only few cases of amebic liver abscess found in developed countries, on the contrary more pyogenic liver abscess are found in those countries.2 Liver abscess could be caused by bacteria, parasite, or fungus 2. The common symptoms among the liver abscess are fever, chill, fatigue, loss of appetite, weight loss, right upper abdominal pain,2,4 in a few cases have symptoms like coughing, hiccup, pain in low right chest, or pain on the shoulder. We reported a male patient 38 years batak ethnic was admitted with major symptoms such as high fever follow by chill, right upper abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, appetite loss, fatigue and sometimes coughing. Based on clinical, laboratory data, and abdominal USG found this patient suspected suffered from pyogenic liver abscess. Treatment of this patient consist of antibiotic (cefotaxime 2x1 IV, metronidazol 3x500mg orally and aspiration of the liver abscess). Aspiration was done 2 times with the interval 1 week, extracted 260cc totally yellow greenish watery fluid with no smell. On the follow up abdominal USG was repeated on Janurary 8, 2003 found enlarge of the liver, 3 small abscesses on the right lobe liver and so recovery process and then patient left the hospital in good condition after 3 weeks hospitalized.
