Abstract

This research investigates how effectively Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) management improves the welfare of the community in Wedoroklurak Village. The primary aim of this study is to evaluate how much BUMDes management aids in enhancing the economic and social conditions of the local populace. The research utilizes a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study technique. Information was gathered through detailed interviews with village leaders, BUMDes administrators, and local residents, along with observations and document reviews. The results show that BUMDes management in Wedoroklurak Village has been effectively executed through the creation of productive business ventures, the strengthening of village economic initiatives, and the enhancement of community involvement. BUMDes initiatives have led to job creation, fostered small business development, and produced extra income for the village, which can be used for community improvement. However, there are still several obstacles, such as limited management skills, inadequate program outreach, and challenges in business innovation. Despite these issues, BUMDes remains a crucial local economic entity that aids in enhancing welfare. In summary, the effectiveness of BUMDes management in Wedoroklurak Village is evident in its beneficial impact on community welfare, although more efforts are necessary to improve governance, bolster capacity development, and ensure the sustainability of programs for a more extensive long-term effect.

Abstract

General Background: Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDesa) are strategic instruments for strengthening local economies and supporting village financial independence in Indonesia. Specific Background: BUMDesa Sumber Abadi Ngaban manages multiple business units contributing to the Village Original Revenue (PADes), yet faces managerial and legal challenges. Knowledge Gap: Limited studies examine how practical management principles within BUMDesa translate into measurable PADes growth at the village level. Aims: This study analyzes the management of BUMDesa Sumber Abadi Ngaban using Prajudi Atmosudirdjo’s management principles to understand its role in PADes growth. Results: Findings show that clear division of work, authority, discipline, direction, and team spirit supported the operation of four active business units, increasing PADes from IDR 120 million (2021) to IDR 240 million (2024), although planning and legal formalization remain constraints. Novelty: The study connects classical management principles with empirical BUMDesa practices and PADes data in a real village context. Implications: Strengthening planning capacity, human resources, and legal status is essential for optimizing BUMDesa governance and sustaining village revenue growth.

Abstract

This research aims to describe and analyze the implementation of Village Fund Cash Assistance (BLT-DD) in Sumorame Village, Candi Sub-district. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data gathered from interviews, observations, and literature reviews. The research focuses on how BLT-DD is implemented in Sumorame Village. Second, well-qualified human resources were involved, with staff knowledgeable about the procedures and working together to ensure the aid was distributed properly. The budgeting process, which started with the village deliberation and was authorized through the Village Budget (APBDes), followed government guidelines, with a maximum of 25% of the Village Fund allocated for BLT DD. Third, there was a strong commitment from implementers, as they collaborated with various parties to ensure timely distribution. Lastly, a well-organized bureaucratic structure with clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) supported the smooth implementation of the policy. Although there were some challenges in managing recipient data, overall, the implementation of BLT-DD in Sumorame Village was successful in utilizing resources effectively and achieving the goal of assisting the community.
