Abstract

In 2017, under the leadership of Donald Trump, the United States left the Paris Agreement. Substantially, the United States has played a role in reducing global emissions by 21 percent. At the beginning of his tenure, Joe Biden promoted several policies, one of which was the return of the United States to the Paris Agreement. This study is a qualitative research that relies on literature study as its data collection method. Data collection is carried out by searching and compiling information from various sources, such as news analysis, concepts from experts contained in books, scientific works, articles, the internet, or journals relevant to the research theme, with the aim of knowing what is behind the United States returning to the Paris agreement under Joe Biden's leadership, before the United States had left the agreement in addressing climate change. The issue of climate change has a high level of significance for all earthlings. Therefore, Joe Biden at the beginning of his tenure as President immediately made the decision to return to the Paris agreement in overcoming this climate change issue. The author uses the theory of decision making to analyze the problems in this journal. With the return of the United States to the Paris Agreement, it provides major changes in the international world by strengthening global cooperation, encouraging the participation of other countries, influencing energy and economic policies, and restoring the image of the United States as a global leader in the issue of climate change.

Abstract

The work from home trend is increasingly popular throughout the world. In Indonesia, the internet has contributed to the development of the work from home trend, because the internet network is very easy. However, various existing regulatory provisions tend to only regulate matters related to office work, while the rights and obligations of employers in the work from home scheme are never specifically regulated. The purpose of this study is to analyze the suitability of the work agreement with the fulfillment of the rights of workers who work remotely from home from the perspective of law and regulations and the principles of employment development. The approach method in this study is a sociological legal approach. The findings of this study indicate that the fulfillment of workers' rights, both those stated in the contract and in their realization are important factors in the fulfillment of workers' rights that are not fully in accordance with the principles that support employment development.

Abstract

This research evaluates Indonesia's implementation of the Glasgow Pact in the face of climate change. The main focus is on how Indonesia implements this international commitment, using the theories of international cooperation and international regimes as theoretical basis. Qualitative methods were used by analyzing journals, government policies, official reports, and related academic literature. The results show that Indonesia has taken significant steps, especially in reducing deforestation, despite facing challenges such as international politics and diverse domestic interests. A strong commitment from Indonesia in implementing the Glasgow Pact is important to maintain environmental sustainability, reduce carbon emissions, and increase resilience to future climate change impacts.

Abstract

Human Resource Development (HRD) is a key element in enhancing the competitiveness and productivity of an organization or country. Education and training play a central role in this process, as they not only equip individuals with the necessary knowledge and skills but also aid in personal and professional development. This study aims to analyze the basic concepts and definitions of HRD, as well as its vital role in achieving organizational goals. This research is a library research study that seeks to explore and analyze various literature sources related to the concept of Human Resources (HR) and its development within the organizational context. The findings also reveal that well-designed training programs, tailored to the specific needs of both the organization and the individual, are more likely to enhance performance and productivity.

Abstract

ABSTRACTEha is the rule managing the harvest of crops both from marine and terrestrial. Mane’e is the fish harvest ceremony using sammi ropes after one year period of the Eha Laut. Both traditions have been carried out since immemorial time as an attempt to keep the preservation of natural resources and accustom people to live together. This study aimed to analyze the institutional elements of Eha Laut and Mane’e, the Eha Laut and Mane’e sustainability level in community-based coastal resources management. Based on this research, it is known that the performance of the Eha Laut and Mane’e in coastal resource management has been effective and run well. However, there are 3 (three) indicators which are still in the low level management. They are people’s participation in the local management, conflict resolution mechanisms and networks with external agencies. The Eha Laut and Mane’e sustainability level includes in the category of perfection. The level of sustainability assessed in three dimensions; economic, social and environmental dimensions. Dimension that needs more attention is the environmental dimension.Keywords: sustainable, institutional, community, coastal resources managementABSTRAKEha adalah aturan pengelolaan panen tanaman baik dari laut dan darat. Mane’e adalah upacara panen ikan menggunakan tali sammi setelah periode satu tahun Eha Laut. Kedua tradisi telah dilakukan sejak zaman dahulu sebagai upaya untuk menjaga kelestarian sumber daya alam dan orang membiasakan untuk hidup bersama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis unsur-unsur kelembagaan Eha Laut dan Mane’e, yang Eha Laut dan Mane’e tingkat keberlanjutan dalam pengelolaan sumber daya pesisir berbasis masyarakat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa kinerja Eha Laut dan Mane’e dalam pengelolaan sumber daya pesisir telah efektif dan berjalan dengan baik. Namun, ada 3 (tiga) indikator yang masih dalam manajemen tingkat rendah. Mereka adalah partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengelolaan lokal, mekanisme resolusi konflik dan jaringan dengan lembaga-lembaga eksternal. The Eha Laut dan Mane’e tingkat keberlanjutan termasuk dalam kategori kesempurnaan. Tingkat keberlanjutan dinilai dalam tiga dimensi; ekonomi, sosial dan lingkungan dimensi. Dimensi yang perlu perhatian lebih adalah dimensi lingkungan.Kata kunci: berkelanjutan, kelembagaan, masyarakat, pengelolaan sumber daya pesisir.

Abstract

Pertumbuhan ekonomi Tiongkok yang pesat menjadikan negara Tiongkok sebagai ekononi terbesar kedua di dunia membuat Tiongkok melakukan eskspansi ke pasar-pasar besar salah satu di kawasan Asia Tenggara, Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah mengetahui strategi tiongkok dalam ekspor barang elektronik ke Indonesia pada tahun 2018 dikarena ekspor Tiongkok ke Indonesia pada barang elektronik mengalami peningkatakan yang signifikan, Metode yang digunakan ialah kualitatif dengan teori absolute advantage.

Abstract

This study explores the influence of TikTok on the language development of Generation Alpha in Indonesia, a generation born after 2010 and raised in a digital environment. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this research employs in-depth interviews, observation, and content analysis to examine how TikTok affects vocabulary, the emergence of new terms, and communication patterns. The findings reveal that TikTok contributes to the rise of neologisms and slang terms such as "rizz," "brainrot," and "sigma," which have quickly spread among Generation Alpha. This trend enriches vocabulary while also driving changes in formal language norms, although concerns remain regarding a decline in formal language proficiency. This study provides insights into the dynamics of language in the digital age and its implications for language education policy

Abstract

Cybercrime is increasing along with technological developments. The more people are connected to the internet, the more potential they have to experience crime in cyberspace. One of the cybercrimes is the crime of romance scam which is classified as an online fraud crime. The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of Sub-Directorate V Cyber Crime Directorate of Criminal Investigation in tackling romance scam crimes and their inhibiting factors. Using normative juridical and empirical juridical research methods, data were obtained through literature studies and field studies and analyzed by qualitative descriptive methods. Based on the results of the study, the Sub-Directorate V Cyber Crime Directorate of Criminal Investigation has never handled romance scam cases until the investigation due to a lack of evidence and other factors. Sub-Directorate V Cyber Crime Directorate of the Lampung Police has been active in various countermeasures with non-penal means such as conducting socialization and education to the public, cyber patrols, and digital forensic analysis. It is hoped that the public will be more careful in using social media, a healthy internet culture is needed and digital literacy is needed, and the government needs to revise laws and regulations regarding cybercrime.

Abstract

This article discusses the role of the famous Islamic literary work Barzanji in the context of cultural studies about concepts such as tradition, sunnah, and heresy in Islam. The Barzanji is a work that recounts the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) with awe and affection and has become an integral part of religious traditions in many Muslim-majority countries. This article also aims to examine the importance of understanding tradition and sunnah in diverse cultural contexts, as well as addressing the potential issue of heresy in religious practices related to the use of Barzanji. This research uses a qualitative method with a cultural studies approach. The cultural studies approach was chosen because this research wants to examine the complex interaction between Barzanji and Muslim society.  Overall, this study concludes that Barzanji plays an important role in upholding and strengthening religious identity in certain Muslim communities, especially through its recitation in religious events. That is the context of religious practice, change or innovation (bid'ah) is acceptable if it conforms to the basic principles of the Sunnah. That is, there are situations where bid'ah can be used to enhance or perfect the understanding and practice of the Sunnah. In this perspective, the concepts of sunnah and bid'ah do not have to be seen separately but can complement each other in the context of religious interpretation and practice.

Abstract

Cyberbullying is intimidation conducted through social media, emerging with the rise of technology and social media use. This phenomenon has severe psychological impacts on victims. This study examines cyberbullying from the perspectives of law and communication ethics, recognizing that current regulations often inadequately address such cases. The ethical use of social media is essential, not only to uphold dignity but also to prevent negative effects and legal complications. This research analyzes the role of social media in cyberbullying and the legal and ethical aspects of its regulation in Indonesia. Employing a normative juridical method with a legislative approach, the study uses secondary data from literature. Findings reveal that cyberbullying stems from insufficient ethical awareness in social media use. Addressing this requires stronger, specific regulations to improve case management, enhance victim protection, and foster a safer, more respectful online environment.
