Abstract

The Sumatran tiger population is on the edge of extinction due to uncontrolled habitat loss. The population of Sumatran tigers, which are only around 400, remaining in the forest. The main thing that causes the lack of the Sumatran tiger population is illegal hunting. Local people hunt the Sumatran tiger because people have economic problems. Thus, illegal trade emerged. Local people hunt Sumatran tigers, sell their body parts, it trusted that the body parts of tiger could heal diseases, and have magical powers for the protection and luck of the community. Thus, INGO International Organizations such as WWF and Tiger Range Countries formed the TX2 program that aims to double the tiger population. In addition, the theory used in this problem also uses Environmental Security.

Abstract

This research takes the theme of the efforts made by the Government of Indonesia in overcoming the problem of Human Trafficking in 2006-2018 against Indonesian Migrant Workers in Malaysia through multi track diplomacy. These efforts were carried out both on the basis of initiatives from the Government of Indonesia itself and the wishes of both parties manifested in the form of bilateral cooperation. However, in the process of its realization, several obstacles were encountered that impeded the efforts made, the obstacles encountered were both from within Indonesia and also inseparable from its collaborative partner, namely Malaysia. In this paper the writer question about how the efforts made by the Government of Indonesia in overcoming the problem of Human Trafficking in 2006-2018 against Migrant Workers who are in Malaysia. In answering the research questions the writer used the theory of Human Security, Human Trafficking, Bilateral Cooperation and also Multi Track Diplomacy. In the process of proving and also analyzing the writer used qualitative research methods and explanatory data presentation. For the hypothesis proposed by the writer is that the Government has made several efforts through Multi Track Diplomacy using track one namely G to G in this case carried out by the Government of Indonesia with the Government of Malaysia, then by using the method of Track Two, in this case carried out by BNP2TKI, then Track Five by conducting socialization and education in schools. However, the independent efforts undertaken by Indonesia and also bilateral cooperation carried out with Malaysia have not yet gotten maximum results, this is because of the obstacles faced. In general, constraints originating from within the country come from the weakness of the law enforcement process that applies in Indonesia concerning human trafficking. Then the obstacles that come from Malaysia are generally because it is difficult to reach an agreement in an effort to protect Migrant Workers who come from Indonesia, this is because of differences in the interests of the two countries in looking at the Migrant Workers issue

Abstract

Artikel ini menganalisis dilema yang muncul dalam konteks politik identitas terkait pemilu di Indonesia. Munculnya perdebatan yang menghubungkan isu agama dan politik dalam pemilu,  juga untuk menganalisis permasalahan yang dihadapi antara konsepsi kebangsaan dan keagamaan dalam pemilu di Indonesia. Terutama yang terkait dengan Politik identitas yang telah mempengaruhi panggung politik Indonesia dalam beberapa tahun terakhir. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk memahami realita politik identitas di Indonesia saat ini dengan fokus pada dua kelompok identitas utama, yaitu kelompok keagamaan dan kelompok nasionalis. Metode pendekatan yuridis normatif, dengan studi kepustakaan yang mencakup berbagai sumber seperti tulisan ataupun artikel ilmiah baik berbentuk buku, media online, disertasi ataupun literatur yang lain merupakan metode yang dipilih dalam penulisan artikel ini. Hasil dari kajian menemukan bahwa polarisasi politik berdasarkan identitas keagamaan dan nasionalisme menyebabkan gangguan terhadap stabilitas negara. Namun keberadaan politik identitas bukanlah menjadi faktor utama penyumbang kehancuran integritas nasional di Indonesia, tapi merupakan pondasi penting dalam membangun identitas nasionalisme bangsa.

Abstract

Separatism is a complex and sensitive issue in the context of international law and human rights. This research aims to explore the correlation between self-determination and human rights in relation to separatist movements, with a focus on the conflicts that arise between state sovereignty and international law. The article also analyzes several case studies of separatist conflicts in various regions to provide a more concrete understanding. The research methodology employed is a normative juridical approach, utilizing literature review from diverse sources such as books, online media, dissertations, and other relevant literature. The research findings confirm that self-determination is recognized as a human right in international law. This right allows ethnic, national, or regional groups to determine their own destiny, including the option of secession from an existing state and in the national law of Indonesia, the right to self-determination is interpreted in the context of regional autonomy. However, conflicts arise when the implementation of self-determination contradicts the principle of state sovereignty. The separatist movement involves complex correlations between self-determination, human rights, state sovereignty, and international law. Sustainable conflict resolution requires a balanced and comprehensive approach that recognizes and protects human rights without disregarding the principle of state sovereignty.
