Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of developing the media board game "Galaksi Bimasakti Project," which is the development of the Snakes and Ladders game. The Galaksi Bimasakti Project has a colorful space design that makes it attractive to students. This game is equipped with pawns, dice, and 3 types of cards: question cards, answer confirmation cards, and punishment cards. The novelty of the Snakes and Ladders concept game is that question cards and answer confirmations have the same number, making it easier for students to find out whether the answers put forward by other players are right or wrong. Other participants will listen and remember the appropriate answers, besides that the attractive design and additional points make students more interested in answering correctly and contributing to their group. In this game the teacher is only a supervisor of the course of the game, in other words the teacher is only a facilitator. The game is carried out by peer tutors in groups so that in preparation for the game. The method used in data analysis is descriptive quantitative using a group design pretest-post-test. The results showed that there was an increase in the class average at the pretest and post-test. Obtained statistical test results of 0.000 stated that there was an influence of the media on learning outcomes after the implementation of the Galaksi Bimasaktit board game.

Abstract

Innovation in the food sector to support national development in alleviating hunger and creating a healthy and prosperous life can be carried out in various fields, one of which is education. The aim of the implementation of SUS-PDAT in this applied IPA learning is to give practical experience to students in the process of making red oncoms. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. Data collection is carried out through the study of literature from various sources, including national and international journals relevant to research topics. Research shows that by introducing food innovations like red oncom to students, it can raise awareness of the importance of healthy and sustainable food consumption in society. Besides, this learning can also be a source of inspiration for the younger generation to engage in the innovative and environmentally friendly food industry of the future. Therefore, red oncom is included in healthy food with affordable economic value. It is hoped that the red oncom innovation which has an umami taste can help the government in sustainable development for a healthy and healthy life without hunger.

Abstract

The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Problem-based Learning model in improving the students' ability to collaborate on practical activities related to the solution colligative properties. The research design uses quasi-experimental methods with control groups and experiments. The study sample consisted of 60 XI IPA class students selected using purposive sampling techniques, with 30 students in the experimental group and 30 in the control group. The research instruments include a test of collaborative abilities, a sheet of observations on collaborative activities, and an elevator of student responses. The results showed that the average pre-test scores of students' collaboration ability in experimental and control groups were relatively the same. Still, there was a significant improvement in the experimental group's post-test score after applying the Problem-Based Learning model. The pair t-test results showed a substantial improvement in both groups, but the increase in the experimental group was significantly higher (t(30) = 12.45, p < 0.05) compared to the control group (t(30) = 3.21, p < 0.05). Independent t-tests showed significant differences between the experimental and control groups after treatment (t(60) = 6.34, p < 0.05). Observations during the practice showed that students in the experimental group were more active in communicating, sharing tasks, collaborating, and solving problems than in the control group. In addition, the student response raise showed that the majority of students responded positively to the Problem-Based Learning model, with a high average score on interesting and enjoyable aspects (4.5), boosting motivation (4.6), facilitating the understanding of concepts (4.4), and enhance the ability to collaborate (4.7).

Abstract

This study aims to develop a green synthesis method of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) by utilising cassava (Manihot esculenta) peel waste extract and gelatin as reducing and stabilising agents for Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS) applications. This synthesis technique promotes environmentally friendly principles by using natural materials that are easily available, cost-effective, and reduce the use of hazardous chemicals. The synthesis results show that the silver nanoparticles obtained have high stability and are able to increase the intensity of the Raman signal, allowing the detection of molecules at very low concentrations. Characterisation of AgNPs includes analysis using UV-Vis spectroscopy, TEM, XRD, as well as SERS performance measurements. This research shows that green chemistry-based synthesis methods can produce high-quality nanoparticles with high efficiency, so they have the potential to be widely applied in various chemical sensor applications that require high sensitivity.

Abstract

The science learning process is anticipated to be able to offer an independent learning experience by utilizing previously acquired skills, namely science process skills. Based on the needs analysis, students get bored easily, are lazy, and find it difficult to accept science learning. In addition, worksheets and printed books that are used as learning resources have not implemented current technological developments, as a result students are bored and less interested. Teachers as science learning practitioners still find it difficult to provide learning media that have the capacity to pique students' interest. So, this research was conducted to develop an e-module centered on scientific process skills in the area of substance stress and its practical application, as well as evaluating its efficacy. The methodology employed in the research was the ADDIE R&D model which was carried out in class IX at SMP Nasional Malang. Data collection was done through student analysis questionnaires, media validity questionnaires, material validity questionnaires, student readability test questionnaires, and practicality test questionnaires by science teachers. Overall, the validity of the material is 92%, the validity of the media is 97.2%, the readability of students is 86.61%, and the practicality of science teachers is 99%. Therefore, this e-module is very feasible and effective to be applied to the science learning process in junior high schools on substance stress and its application in daily life.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of inquiry-based virtual laboratory modules in improving civil engineering students' conceptual understanding of moment of inertia, with critical thinking skills as a moderating factor. Using a quasi-experimental 2x2 factorial design, 60 students were divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group engaged with virtual lab modules featuring interactive simulations and case-based learning, while the control group received conventional lecture-based instruction. Results indicated significantly higher learning outcomes in the experimental group (mean score = 58.9) compared to the control group (46.5), with critical thinking skills further amplifying this effect. ANOVA analysis confirmed the significant impact of the intervention (F = 21.83, p < 0.001). The study highlights the importance of integrating technology with pedagogical strategies that foster critical analysis and self-directed exploration. These findings contribute to engineering education by demonstrating how virtual labs, when combined with inquiry-based learning, can bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application while accommodating diverse learning needs. Recommendations include curriculum integration of such modules and professional development for educators in implementing technology-enhanced, inquiry driven approaches.

Abstract

Learning media that are less innovative and varied can result in reduced student learning motivation. One of the learning media that can be used is monopoly game. The research aims to determine the development, practicality, and effectiveness of the SIMAHI Monopoly game to increase learning motivation. This is development research with the ADDIE model which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. This research is a pre-experimental study with a one group pretest-posttest research design. Data collection was carried out by interviews and questionnaires. The data analysis used in this study was the prerequisite test (normality and homogeneity) and paired t-test. The results of this study indicate that the monopoly game is feasible to use with media validation of 80.88% and material validation of 93.85%, both of which are in the very valid category. For practicality the teacher gets 97.50% and students 85.98% including the very practical category. The SIMAHI monopoly game is effective for increasing learning motivation with a percentage of 11.19%. The results of the t-test show that there is a significant difference in average between students' learning motivation before and after using the SIMAHI Monopoly game learning media.
