This research aims to examine the influence of cognitive and affective aspects on the academic performance of eighth-semester students in the Bachelor of Management program at the University of Muhammadiyah East Kalimantan. Academic performance is affected by various internal and external factors, and understanding these influences is critical for improving student outcomes. Cognitive aspects refer to intellectual abilities such as critical thinking, comprehension, and analytical skills, while affective aspects involve students' attitudes, motivation, and emotional regulation during the learning process. This study employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. A sample of 180 students was selected using a random sampling technique. Data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results are expected to provide insights into how both cognitive and affective aspects impact academic performance. These findings will contribute to the development of educational theory and serve as a foundation for designing more effective teaching strategies, ultimately improving student academic achievement.

ABSTRACT Objective: Mental emotional health issues in adolescents often stem from imperfect self-control due to mood fluctuations and stress during this developmental phase. This study aims to assess the impact of mental emotional health education on adolescents' mental emotional status. Methods: Utilizing a quantitative approach with a True Experimental method, specifically a Pre-Post Control Group Design with Randomized Controlled Trials (RCT), the research involved adolescents from SMPN 4 Banyuwangi. The sample comprised 28 respondents in the experimental group receiving mental emotional health education and 28 in the control group receiving conventional education. Resukts: Results indicated a significant improvement in mental emotional status post-intervention. T-test analysis revealed p=0.039 for the experimental group and p=0.020 for the control group, leading to the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (Ha). This suggests that mental emotional health education is more effective in enhancing mental emotional status compared to conventional education. Conclusion: The findings underscore the importance of raising awareness about mental emotional health and implementing strategies to address related issues, highlighting the necessity of maintaining mental well-being among adolescents. This study advocates for increased focus on mental emotional health education to better equip adolescents in managing their mental health challenges.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh pelatihan kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai pada Dinas Pemuda dan Olahraga Provinsi Kalimantan Timur dengan pendekatan deskriptif-kausal. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh pegawai di intansi tersebut, dengan Jumlah sampel sebanyak 83 responden yang diambil menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner berformat skala Likert 1-5 dan dianalisis menggunakan Spss versi 27 dengan uji hipotesis pada tingkat signifikansi 0,05. Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan kerja memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap peningkatan kinerja pegawai, di mana setiap satu jam pelatihan terfokus mampu meningkatkan skor kinerja pegawai sebesar 0,622 poin. Nilai statistik uji t sebesar 9.048 dengan signifikansi < 0,05 menguatkan bahwa hipotesis yang menyatakan pelatihan kerja berpengaruh terhadap kinerja pegawai diterima. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan kerja merupakan strategi efektif dalam pengembangan sumber daya manusia yang berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan kinerja instansi/perusahaan. This study aims to examine the effect of job training on employee performance at the Youth and Sports Office of East Kalimantan Province using a descriptive-causal approach. The population of the study consisted of all employees at the agency, with a sample size of 83 respondents selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through a questionnaire using a Likert scale and analyzed using SPSS version 27 with hypothesis testing at a significance level of 0.05. The regression analysis results indicate that job training has a positive and significant effect on improving employee performance, where each additional hour of focused training can increase the employee performance score by 0.622 points. The t-test statistic value of 9.048 with a significance level below 0.05 confirms the acceptance of the hypothesis stating that job training influences employee performance. Therefore, it can be concluded that job training is an effective strategy in human resource development that significantly contributes to improving the performance of the agency/company.

This study aims to analyze the influence of occupational health and safety (OHS) on employee performance, with skills as a mediating variable at PT. Sumber Bara Abadi. A quantitative approach was applied using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The entire population of 70 permanent employees was used as the sample through a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using SmartPLS. The results showed that OHS significantly affects skills (coefficient = 0.462; P-value = 0.002) and significantly affects employee performance (coefficient = 0.461; P-value = 0.000). Additionally, skills significantly influence performance (coefficient = 0.273; P-value = 0.026). However, the moderating effect of skills on the relationship between OHS and performance was not significant (P-value = 0.284). The R² value indicates that the independent variables explain 21.3% of the variance in skills and 56.2% of the variance in performance. The Q² value of 0.273 indicates a moderate predictive relevance of the model for performance. These findings suggest that OHS and skills are critical factors in improving performance, with skills functioning more effectively as a mediating variable than as a moderator. The study implies that companies should continuously invest in both OHS programs and skill development to foster a safe, productive, and sustainable work environment.

Binary logistic regression is utilized in research to understand the relationship between multiple independent variables and a binary response variable. In logistic regression modelling, parameter estimation is regarded as a vital stage. The performance of this estimation is often affected by the sample size and data characteristics, and to deal with this problem, the Bayesian method can be employed as an estimation. This research aims to use Regression Logistic with Bayesian estimation to figure out the determinant of recent in-migrants status in Special Region of Yogyakarta 2021, where Yogyakarta’s recent in-migrants in 2021 took the first position in Indonesia, whereas this city has the lowest regional minimum wage in Indonesia. The Bayesian method was used in this study to obtain a better estimate than previous studies using maximum likelihood estimation, because Bayesian is unbiased for unbalanced cases which are often found in logistic regression. This research results show that particular variables such as resident age, resident marital status, resident main activities, resident latest education, and resident homeownership have significant effect on resident migrating to Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia

One problem in classifying stunting data is that the data used does not have a balanced proportion. This study aims to apply the logistic regression classification method with ordinal scale response variables to overcome class imbalance through the ensemble bagging approach. The data used is secondary data in the form of final research reports that have been tested for validity and reliability. The predictor variables used are economic conditions, health services and the environment with categorical response variables, namely the nutritional status of toddlers in the categories of stunting, normal and high. The methods used are ordinal logistic regression and ensemble bagging on ordinal logistic regression with bootstraps of 100, 500, and 1000. The variables that influence the nutritional status of toddlers are Economic Conditions, Health Services, and the Environment. The results of the study showed that the accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, and F1-Score for ordinal logistic regression were smaller than ensemble bagging in ordinal logistic regression. The best classification method obtained was bagging logistic regression with a bootstrap number of 500 and obtained an accuracy value of 85%, sensitivity of 87.2%, specificity of 72.6%, and F1-Score of 79.3%.

When using the Bayesian method for estimating parameters in a geographically weighted regression model, the choice of the prior distribution directly impacts the posterior distribution. The distribution known as the Jeffreys prior is an uninformative type of prior distribution and is invariant to reparameterization. In cases where information about the parameter is not available, the Jeffreys' prior is utilized. The data was fitted with an uninformative Jeffreys' prior distribution, which yielded a posterior distribution that was utilized for estimating parameters. This study aims to derive the prior and marginal posterior distributions of the Jeffreys' and in Bayesian geographically weighted regression (BGWR). The marginal posterior distributions of and can be obtained by integrating the other parameters of a common posterior distribution. Based on the results and discussion, the Jeffreys prior in BGWR with the likelihood function is . On the other hand, the marginal posterior distribution of follows a normal multivariate distribution, that is, , while the marginal posterior distribution of follows an inverse gamma distribution, that is, . As further research, it is necessary to follow up on several limitations of the results of this research, namely numerical simulations and application to a particular case that related to the results of the analytical studies that we have carried out.

CART is one of the algorithms in data exploration techniques with decision tree techniques. Unbalanced class proportions in the classification process can cause classification results of minor data to be incorrect. One way to overcome the problem of data imbalance is to use an ensemble bagging algorithm. The bagging algorithm utilizes the resampling method to carry out classification so that it can reduce bias in imbalanced data. The data used is secondary data from Fernandes and Solimun's 2023 research report. The number of sample are 100 respondents that has been valid and reliable. The sample for this research was mothers with toddlers in Wajak village, Malang Regency. The results showed that the ensemble bagging CART method is better at overcoming the problem of imbalance in the proportion of classes with a performance value of accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, and F1-Score values of 85%, 94.1%, 66.7%, and 78%. This research is limited to the Sumberputih Village area. So, the results of this research are only representative for the Wajak District area.

This study aims to analyze the influence of internal communication on employee performance at the Traffic Unit of Polresta Samarinda. The main problem addressed is the lack of effective internal communication, which leads to miscommunication, task execution errors, and low employee morale. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method involving 93 respondents out of a total population of 120 employees. Data were collected through questionnaires, and the validity and reliability were tested using SPSS version 27. The data analysis techniques used include simple linear regression, t-test, and the coefficient of determination. The results show that internal communication has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a regression coefficient value of 0.810 and a significance level of 0.000 (p < 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.748 indicates that 74.8% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by internal communication, while the remaining 25.2% is influenced by other factors. These findings emphasize the importance of effective internal communication in improving employee performance, especially in work environments that require high levels of coordination, such as the police force. Therefore, improving the quality of internal communication can be a key strategy to enhance work effectiveness and productivity in the Traffic Unit of Polresta Samarinda.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh aspek kognitif terhadap prestasi akademik mahasiswa Program Studi Manajemen Universitas Muhammadiyah Kalimantan Timur. Aspek kognitif, seperti kemampuan mengingat, memahami, menerapkan, menganalisis, mengevaluasi, dan mencipta, memiliki peran penting dalam pembelajaran dan pencapaian akademik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner mahasiswa semester 8. Analisis regresi linier sederhana digunakan untuk menguji pengaruh aspek kognitif terhadap prestasi akademik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif antara aspek kognitif dan prestasi akademik, dengan uji t menunjukkan bahwa aspek kognitif berpengaruh signifikan terhadap prestasi akademik.
