Abstract

This article examines critical literacy practices carried out by the informal education community thoughtfully and potentially so that they can be applied to developing the school literacy movement program. Statistically, 95.66% of Indonesia's population can read, but on the other hand, the reading literacy score in the PISA study is still below average. So far, there have been different perspectives regarding literacy as a reading activity and literacy as an activity to process information. These differences result in different interpretations and attitudes in processing information in a text. Critical literacy relates reading analysis skills to the realities faced by students. This study aimed to find patterns of critical literacy carried out by the Ngampar Boekoe community and Jamaah Maiyah Al Manhal about the inherent development of the school literacy movement program. The research method used is qualitative with an auto-ethnographic approach. The data comes from the researcher's personal experience, observation, in-depth interviews and artefacts. Data analysis uses triangulation with a bottom-up pattern to find critical literacy formulas and can be reflected in the school literacy movement program. The results found are in the form of alternative formulations which consist of critical material that can develop students' critical power, dialectical methods filled with a sense of trust, and quality-based evaluation using response journal instruments and written works. The results of this study can be used as policy-making considerations for relevant stakeholders to build the qualifications of a literate society.

Abstract

This study investigates the levels of satisfaction and self-efficacy among student-teachers enrolled in the Arabic Teacher Professional Education Program, focusing on the impact of SPACE and Zoom-based online learning environments within the context of the 5.0 era. Understanding how these changes affect teacher preparation is crucial as educational paradigms shift towards more technologically integrated methods. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, data were collected from 82 student-teachers at LPTK Islamic University in Jakarta, Indonesia, through surveys and interviews. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, while qualitative data underwent thematic analysis. The findings indicate high levels of satisfaction and self-efficacy among participants, with Zoom-based learning showing a slightly higher preference over SPACE-based learning. Factors contributing to these outcomes include the flexibility, accessibility, and interactive nature of the online platforms. However, students were found to be less familiar with Learning Management Systems (LMS), which impacted their motivation to develop advanced productive skills in speaking and writing. The study underscores the importance of leveraging advanced technological tools to enhance teacher training programs and recommends comprehensive training and tutorials for student teachers. Additionally, it suggests that educators assign productive tasks, particularly in speaking and writing scientific articles in Arabic, to optimize online learning experiences in the era of Education 5.0. These insights are invaluable for policymakers, educators, and institutions that foster effective and adaptive teacher education models.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Realita pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di kelas masih dijumpai beberapa problematika dalam pelaksanaannya. Hal ini disebabkan karena dalam pelaksanaannya kurang maksimal dan kurangnya strategi guru dalam menyampaikan materi. Sedangkan pendidik dituntut untuk lebih kreatif dan inovatif dalam mengemas suatu pembelajaran. Produk yang telah dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini berupa media infografis “Pamflet” untuk pembelajaran teks cerita pendek yang memuat unsur-unsur pembangun dari teks cerpen. Media disajikan dalam bentuk peta konsep dan rangkuman singkat dengan ilustrasi gambar. Pembuatan media pembelajaran ini menggunakan aplikasi pendukung yaitu canva. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) Mendeskripsikan pengembangan media infografis untuk pembelajaran teks cerita pendek, (2) Mendeskripsikan kelayakan media infografis untuk pembelajaran teks cerita pendek. Model pengembangan media yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mengacu pada model pengembangan ADDIE yang diadaptasi dari Dick & Carey. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini berupa analisis data secara deskriptif dan kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil pengembangan media yang dilakukan, media infografis layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia berdasarkan: (1) Hasil validasi ahli perencanaan pembelajaran diperoleh presentase 92%, (2) Hasil validasi ahli materi/isi diperoleh presentase 87%, (3) Hasil validasi ahli kebahasaan diperoleh presentase 93%, (4) Hasil validasi ahli media diperoleh presentase 94%, (5) Hasil validasi ahli praktisi diperoleh presentase 97%, (6) Hasil uji coba pengguna diperoleh presentase 93% dengan kategori sangat layak. Dengan perolehan tersebut, maka dapat dikategorikan bahwa produk media Infografis untuk pembelajaran teks cerpen bagi kelas XI layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.KATA KUNCI: Pengembangan, Media Infografis, Cerita Pendek DEVELOPMENT OF INFOGRAPHIC MEDIA FOR SHORT STORY TEXT LEARNING ABSTRACT: The reality of learning Indonesian in class is that there are still some problems in its implementation. This is because the implementation is less than optimal dan the teacher's lack of strategy in conveying the material. Meanwhile, educators are required to be more creative dan innovative in packaging learning. The product that has been developed in this study is an infographic media "Pamphlet" for learning short story texts which contains building elements from short story texts. The media is presented in the form of a concept map dan a summary with illustrations. Making this learning media using a supporting application, namely Canva. The aims of this research are (1) to describe the development of infographic media for learning short story texts, and (2) to describe the feasibility of infographic media for learning short story texts. The media development model used in this study refers to the ADDIE development model adapted from Dick & Carey. Data analysis in this study was in the form of descriptive and quantitative data analysis. Based on the results of the media development carried out, infographic media is suitable for use as Indonesian language learning media based on: (1) The results of the validation of learning planning experts obtained a percentage of 92%, (2) The results of the validation of material/content experts obtained a percentage of 87%, (3) The results of the validation linguistic experts obtained a percentage of 93%, (4) Validation results of media experts obtained a percentage of 94%, (5) Practitioner expert validation results obtained a percentage of 97%, (6) Test results of users obtained a percentage 93% with very decent category. With this acquisition, it can be categorized that infographic media products for learning short story text for 11th grade are appropriate to use in the learning process.KEYWORDS: Development, Infographic Media, Short Story

Abstract

Representation is a strategy that journalists employ to present events in newsitems. Language expresses social functions and meanings in situational and culturalcontexts in society. This study employed phenomenology. The data sources were dailynewspapers Kompas, Jawa Pos, and Surya, which were randomly selected. The data werecollected through focused observations, theoretical and logical triangulations, andsnowballing. The researcher was the main instrument, equipped with a data codification,descriptive analysis guideline, explanatory analysis guideline, and data corpus table. Thedata were analyzed by using the descriptive and critical discourse analyses. The analysiswas interactive, involving reduction, display, and inference drawing (verification). Thestudy shows the following findings. (1) Vocabulary representation consists of associationand metaphor. (2) Grammar representation consists of process and participation. Abstract

In the 21st century, skills required higher order thinking skills (HOTS). Therefore the test questions developed are directed towards HOTS based. The purpose of this study was to find a HOTS-based Arabic question model in the national level Arabic questions that could be used as a reference for teachers in developing good and appropriate HOTS-based questions and inspirational. The research approach used in this study is a qualitative and quantitative type of research (R&D) research approach. Researchers reveal models of HOTS-based Arabic questions that are in accordance with scientific and modern developments with discussions with Arabic assessment experts, visiting several schools that teach Arabic as a preferred foreign language, discussions with Arabic teachers, interviewing question development officials, and checking national Arabic questions, then discussions with Arabic experts and teachers.  The Arabic HOTS question is still understood differently by Arabic teachers and there are still many Arabic questions that have not been categorized as HOTS. Therefore, Arabic teachers need to be given training in developing Arabic HOTS questions but who focus on Arabic questions. So far, the question training is still combined with other materials with speakers who are not experts in developing Arabic questions.

Abstract

For Arabic language learners, tarkīb iḍafiy and tarkīb na'tiy are still difficult to distinguish when they are included in a sentence, especially if the sentence does not have a syakkal. In the research of Fauziah et al. who analyzed Nahwu's mistakes in reading Bald Arabic texts, found Nahwu's mistakes in several rules, including Tarkib Iḍafiy and Tarkīb Na'tiy. Therefore, both are important to research. The aim of this research is to determine the type, syntactic function and grammatical markers of tarkīb iḍafiy and tarkīb na'tiy in the book Silsilat Ta'līm Al-Lughat Al-'Arabiyyah Al-Mustawa Al-Ṡāliṡ Al-Ta'bīr. This research is qualitative research with a library research design. The research data is in the form of tarkīb iḍafiy and tarkīb na'tiy in the book Silsilat Ta'līm Al-Lughat Al-'Arabiyyah Al-Mustawa Al-Ṡāliṡ Al-Ta'bīr. Data collection uses documentation techniques and then samples are taken. Next, it was analyzed using research instruments in the form of data cards and recapitulation sheets. The research results show that there are 611 data. However, based on the data collection technique used, namely purposive sampling, only 100 data samples were taken for research. based on type, researcher found 8 iḍafah lafẓiyyah and 46 iḍafah ma'nawiyyah and 46 na'at haqiqiy. Based on its syntactic function, in muḍaf there are 4 fāil data, 6 mubtada' data, 1 khabar data, 7 tābi' data, 7 maf'ūl bih data, 11 maf'ūl fih data, 1 mustaṡna data, 1 isim inna data, 2 data munāda, and 14 majrūr bi al-harfi data. Then, in man'ūt the researcher found 1 fāil data, 1 khabar data, 1 isim kāna data, 12 tābi' data, 7 maf'ūl bih data, 1 khabar kāna data, 15 majrūr bi al-harfi data, and 7 muḍaf ilaih data. Furthermore, based on i'rab and its grammatical markers, in muḍaf the researcher found 14 rafa' data with ḍummah, 23 naṣab data; 22 data with fatḥah, 1 data with alif and 17 data jar with kasrah. Meanwhile, in man‘ūt there are 8 rafa‘ data with ḍummah, 12 naṣab data with fatḥah, and 26 jar data; 25 data with kasrah and 1 data with fatḥah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bentuk prosodi kata “anjing” yang dituturkan oleh Ujang Asep dalam berbagai konteks pada video Youtube Asfmine yang berjudul Challenge Pacaran Seharian Sama Anggik, Malah Jadi Babu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analisis dengan pendekatan fonetik ekperimental menggunakan aplikasi Praat untuk mengukur pitch, intensity, dan durasi penuturan kata “anjing”. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan melalui tahap pengumpulan data, pengidentifikasian, pengklasifikasian, pengolahan, serta pendeskripsian data. Hasilnya menunjukkan dalam konteks lucu, kata "Anjing" diucapkan dengan pitch yang tinggi, intensity suara tinggi, dan durasi pengucapan yang panjang. Dalam situasi kesal, pitch kata "Anjing" rendah, intensity rendah, durasi sedang. Pada konteks takjub, pitch rendah, intensity rendah, dan durasi pendek. Dalam situasi terkejut, pitch tinggi, intensity tinggi, durasi pendek. Konteks malu, pitch rendah dengan intensity tinggi dan durasi panjang. Kagum, pitch lebih tinggi, intensity rendah, dengan durasi Panjang. Situasi kecewa, pitch rendah, intensity rendah, dan durasi sedang. Dalam konteks mengejek, pitch rendah, intensity suara tinggi, durasi pendek. Kesimpulannya, kata “anjing” yang dituturkan oleh ujang asep memiliki variasi prosodi (pitch, intensity, dan durasi) yang berbeda sehingga memunculkan makna atau maksud yang berbeda-beda pula sesuai dengan konteks kata tersebut diucapkan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang penggunaan enklitik dalam bahasa Makassar sebagai penanda aspek dalam kalimat. Enklitik adalah elemen linguistik yang memiliki peran penting dalam menyampaikan informasi tentang durasi, kesudahan, atau kelanjutan suatu tindakan dalam kalimat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan mengumpulkan data dari bahasa Makassar, terutama kalimat-kalimat yang menggunakan enklitik sebagai penanda aspek. Hasil penelitian tersebut menyimpulkan bahwa dalam bahasa Makassar, enklitik memiliki peran khusus sebagai penanda aspek dalam kalimat. Ketika frasa verba diberi enklitik -mi frasa tersebut menandakan aspek duratif (sedang berlangsung), ketika diberi enklitik -ji frasa tersebut tidak memiliki penanda aspek, dan ketika diberi enklitik -pi frasa tersebut menandakan aspek futuristik (akan terjadi di masa depan). Ketika enklitik digabungkan dengan frasa nomina, frasa tersebut tidak memiliki penanda aspek jika diberi enklitik –mi atau -ji tetapi memiliki penanda aspek futuristik jika diberi enklitik –pi. Sementara itu, pada frasa adjektiva, jika diberi enklitik -mi frasa tersebut menandakan aspek perfektif (telah selesai), jika diberi enklitik -ji frasa tersebut tidak memiliki penanda aspek, dan jika diberi enklitik -pi frasa tersebut menandakan aspek futuristik. Penelitian ini memberikan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang peran enklitik dalam bahasa Makassar sebagai penanda aspek, serta memperkaya pengetahuan dalam bidang linguistik. Penggunaan enklitik dengan penanda aspek yang berbeda memberikan nuansa khusus dalam berkomunikasi dalam bahasa tersebut

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggambarkan pentingnya semiotika dalam memahami makna denotasi dan konotasi dari meme yang ada di media sosial Twitter. Twitter sebagai platform media sosial telah memungkinkan berkomunikasi secara instan dengan jangkauan global, termasuk menyebarkan meme. Meme di Twitter mencerminkan aspek budaya dan sosial, termasuk humor dan satir, dan memiliki kemampuan untuk menyebar dengan cepat di internet. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan semiotika Roland Barthes. Data diambil dari meme yang tersebar di media sosial Twitter, dan kemudian dianalisis untuk memahami makna denotasi dan konotasi yang terkandung di dalamnya. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa denotasi pada meme mencakup makna harfiah atau yang terlihat secara fisik, sedangkan konotasi adalah tingkatan kedua dalam proses signifikasi, yang melibatkan asosiasi, perasaan, nilai-nilai budaya, dan ideologi. Meme di Twitter bisa mengandung makna yang kompleks dan beragam bagi setiap individu karena dipengaruhi oleh pengalaman, budaya, dan latar belakang masing-masing pengguna. Beberapa contoh meme yang dianalisis mencakup tema tentang menyembunyikan perasaan, kesadaran untuk refleksi diri, tekanan sosial, perbedaan antara kehidupan di media sosial dan dunia nyata, serta kekuatan menghadapi tantangan. Penelitian semacam ini penting untuk memahami bagaimana meme dapat mempengaruhi komunikasi dan interaksi di media sosial, serta bagaimana interpretasi makna dari meme dapat beragam bagi setiap individu
