Abstract

In the marketing and development of a product, the company must have a quality product, price and product positioning in the market place through the promotion, which in turn will affect the image barand and purchasing decisions. The transfer of a highly competitive business paradigm, companies are required to always be creative and innovative to get survive. The research data obtained through questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis techniques. To perform this analysis technique, there are seven steps that must be done, which is extended on the basis of theoretical models, extended flowcharts, workflow diagrams the conversion into equity, selecting the input matrices and estimation techniques, printing identification problem, evaluating criteria of goodness of fit and the interpretation and modification of the model. The full fit modeling results received using the technique of SEM analysis and tested the hypothesis that the quality of the product known influence on purchase decisions, promotional intensity influence on purchase decisions, affect the perceived price band image and purchasing decisions. Based on the results of the study, there are several managerial implications that can be used as a review. To improve the brand image and purchase decisions may be done by improving product quality, competitive prices and promotions.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between procedural justice, know­ledge sharing and innovative work behavior. The research model and hypothesis were developed from related literature. The data was collected through survey method on 297 supervisors of four and five star hotels in East Java, Indonesia. The obtained data from the questionnaire were tested with Partial Least Square (PLS) to investigate the research model. The results confirm that pro­cedural justice has positive impact on knowledge sharing. While the effect of knowledge sharing on innovative work behavior is another finding of this research. The implications of this study are discussed in the conclusions section of the study

Abstract

Currently, the existence of information technology is unavoidable. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought changes in consumer consumption patterns from traditional sales patterns to a website-based digitalized sales system. MSMEs in Janti village still use the traditional sales system. This condition makes it difficult for MSMEs in Janti village to carry out sales promotions. The purpose of community service is to provide solutions faced through socialization activities and website creation training as a means of promoting MSME products in Janti village. This is a new breakthrough for MSMEs because traditional marketing is no longer effective. Implementation of activities with the methods of socialization, discussion, and training. The socialization and training activities received a positive response from MSME actors. Overall, the activity went smoothly and received a positive response from MSME actors. The results of these activities have an impact on increasing sales so that the income of MSMEs also increases as general, so that it will impact to increase economic and role of human resource. There the COVID-19 in 2020-2021 makes MSMEs in Janti Village have capable although has hard work.

Abstract

Background - Competition between companies is very competitive to be the best organization must manage human resources and pay serious attention to the behavior, attitudes, and psychological state of employees. The company is expected to only employ competent human resources with a positive work attitude. However, the work-life balance of employees in hotels has not been felt evenly by hotel employees in Surabaya. Therefore, it is necessary to study the factors of work-life balance and work engagement by mediating job crafting for hotel employees in Surabaya. Objectives - To provide empirical evidence related to the direct effect of work-life balance on work engagement, and the indirect effect of using job crafting mediation on hotel employees in Surabaya. Design/method/approach - Quantitative research that is explanatory research is used in this study. A total of 152 hotel employees in Surabaya were used as samples using the purposive sampling technique. The data that has been collected and tabulated is then analyzed using the PLS program. Findings - This study provides evidence that work-life balance has a significant effect on job crafting, work-life balance does not affect work engagement. After that, job crafting influences work engagement. Furthermore, job crafting has a fully mediating role in work-life balance and work engagement. Conclusion - Work life balance can improve work engagement. job crafting is able to mediate between work life balance and work engagement of hotel employees in Surabaya. work life balance allows employees to build a balance between work and family roles. Research Implications - Hospitality management needs to increase work engagement which is much needed for employees in completing their job responsibilities to be better and give their best contribution in achieving organizational goals. Paying attention to the work-life balance of employees between work and family makes employees happy so they are motivated to give their best performance in providing services to hotel guests satisfactorily. Provide support by facilitating employee job crafting to modify the way of working according to the needs of the job. Research Limitations - This research is not free from limitations. This study only examines hotel employees in Surabaya, so further research needs to be carried out in different sectors that have different characteristics. The results of the study which were found to be insignificant between work-life balance and work engagement need further empirical evidence. In addition, it is necessary to further develop factors that affect work engagement, such as work stress and psychological contracts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the impact of self-efficacy on innovative behaviour and the moderating role of organisational support on self-efficacy and innovative behaviour. This study uses an explanatory research type. The respondents of this study were 149 lecturers at private universities in Surabaya. Data is collected using a questionnaire via a google form. Sampling using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis using Partial Least Square (PLS) software. The results showed that self-efficacy had a positive and significant effect on the innovative behaviour of lecturers. Direct organisational support has a positive and insignificant effect on innovative behaviour. However, organisational support strengthens self-efficacy toward the innovative behaviour of private university lecturers in Surabaya. The study results follow the theory of social exchange. This research implies that faculty support given to lecturers will make them improve their self-efficacy and strengthen their innovative behaviour to produce their best performance.

Abstract

The role of truck drivers in sustainable transportation and logistics in a sustainable supply chain network is particularly noteworthy. The driver work system is very different from the employees in the company. Therefore, this research was conducted to analyze the effect of work passion, strength against frustration, quality of survival, and team spirit on the morale of truck drivers in their delivery activities. This study used a quantitative approach with 173 truck drivers participating as respondents. Testing using SEM analysis with the SmartPLS 3.0 application. The results showed that work passion, strength against frustration, quality of endurance, and group spirit each had a unidirectional relationship with morale, meaning that the higher the passion for work, the strength against frustration, the quality of survival, and the group spirit of truck drivers, the higher the morale will increase. Based on the coefficient value, it can be seen that the quality of survival is a predictor that has a dominant influence on morale, which is indicated by the highest coefficient of 0.288.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menguji hubungan antara konflik peran ganda, komunikasi interpersonal, serta lingkungan kerja terhadap kinerja yang dihasilkan perawat. Penentuan jumlah sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dan sebanyak 106 perawat perawat Rumah Sakit Anwar Medika Sidoarjo ditetapkan sebagai sampel. Penelitian ini menggungkapkan bahwa konflik peran ganda tidak secara signifikan mempengaruhi kinerja perawat, namun komunikasi interpersonal dan lingkungan kerja mempengaruhi kinerja perawat. Lebih lanjut, hasil uji F mengkonfirmasi konflik peran ganda, komunikasi interpersonal, dan lingkungan kerja mampu meningkatkan kinerja perawat Rumah Sakit Anwar Medika Sidoarjo. Kata Kunci: Konflik Peran Ganda, Komunikasi Interpersonal, Lingkungan Kerja, Kinerja Perawat

Abstract

As higher education institutions were facing strong competition to attract new coming students, the contributions of lecturers were acknowledged as one of the driving resources of the university’s competitive advantage. Besides teaching, all lecturers were required to conduct research and social services. While fulfilling these tasks, some lecturers focused on one aspect only and neglect the others. This situation created a disparity in lecturers’ creative mindsets, as they keep on doing similar tasks repeatedly. Creativity developed by the lecturers could become the competitive advantage of their university. The objective of this study was to examine how lecturers’ creativity is constructed. Two influencing factors, which are affective commitment and knowledge sharing, were tested to see their influences on creativity. The data were collected from 170 randomly selected lecturers of private universities who obtained an “A” accreditation. Since this was quantitative research, the collected data were processed with the Partial Least Square technique. The results showed that lecturers’ creativity was significantly affected by knowledge sharing as well as affective commitment. However, knowledge sharing did not mediate the relationship between affective commitment and creativity.

Abstract

The pervasive high employee turnover intention, particularly prevalent in the hospitality sector, often disrupts company operations. This study investigates the influence of career plateau on turnover intention, mediated by affective commitment and career satisfaction. The research population comprises all hotel employees in East Java, with a sample size of 170 employees. The data analysis used the Partial-Least-Square Structural-Equation-Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach. The hypothesis testing results substantiate that career plateau significantly and negatively impacts affective commitment and career satisfaction. Furthermore, both affective commitment and career satisfaction significantly and negatively influence turnover intention. The study also reveals that career plateau significantly and positively affects turnover intention when mediated by affective commitment. However, when judged by career satisfaction, the career plateau's effect on turnover intention was positive but insignificant.

Abstract

Mengembangkan sektor pariwisata merupakan salah satu cara untuk mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi. Sektor pariwisata memiliki peran cukup besar dalam peningkatan pendapatan nasional, memberikan kesempatan bekerja, meningkatkan kesejahteraan, dan mendorong produk daerah dikenal secara internasional. Pengembangan wisata tidak hanya di perkotaan namun bisa dilakukan di wilayah obyek tujuan wisata. Desa wisata merupakan salah satu wisata alternatif dalam sektor pariwisata. Desa Banjarsari Kecamatan Manyar Kabupaten Gresik memiliki potensi sebagai desa wisata. Permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam usaha pengembangan sebagai desa wisata belum tersedianya sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas seperti: ketrampilan, kemampuan, dan pengetahuan yang berkaitan dengan desa wisata belum dimiliki. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk membantu masyarakat dalam meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia di Desa Banjarsari Kecamatan Manyar Kabupaten Gresik sebagai desa wisata dengan memberikan penyuluhan dan pelatihan. Penyuluhan tentang kualitas pelayanan kepada wisatawan (seperti: penyediaan sarana dan prasarana, meningkatkan kemampuan berkomunikasi yang baik), pelatihan kuliner (seperti: pembuatan pudak dan bandeng) serta pembuatan website. Kegiatan pelatihan dan penyuluhan mendapatkan respon positif dari masyarakat untuk berkembangnya desa wisata. Kata kunci: Kualitas sumber daya manusia, desa wisata, penyuluhan, pelatihan
