<![CDATA[This research aimed to see the implementation of Everyone is a Teacher Here Strategy for students’ speaking skills in learning English, in terms of self-confidence. This research used a pre-experimental method. The data collection technique was taken through pre-test and post-test. The researcher was conduct at SMA Muhammadiyah 5 Makassar, with the population was the XII grade students of SMA Muhammadiyah 5 MakassarThe result of this research indicated that the average pre-test score of students before treated on self-confidence was 45 and the average score of post-test students after treatment on self-confidence was 62. The significance between pre-test and post-test was 38%. The result of data analysis showed that the improvement in students’ speaking skills after given treatments used the EITH strategy was increasing significantly. This was evidenced by the result of statistical analysis with a significant level was = 0.025 with a degree of freedom (df) = 8, t-test = 4,477 and t-table = 2,306. Based on the result of post-test data obtained as the final result, this research provided a significant improvement with the comparison of t-test > t-table which is 2.171.Based on the result of the post-test data obtained as a final result, this research improved. Finally, it can be concluded that the implementation of Everyone is a Teacher Here strategy was capable of providing a good effect on students delivering opinions, especially in speaking skills.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aimed to improving students' reading comprehension skills by measuring and knowing the achievement of the students neurocognitive in reading comprehension through personalized background music. This research utilized a pre-experimental research method with a quantitative approach which involved all of the second grade students at SMPN 2 Aralle as the sample of this research. This research instrument is a reading text containing 10 number of essay test. The research result shows an improvement on the students’ neurocognitive in reading comprehension after doing the treatment with personalized background music in learning process. It proved the post-test mean score was more significant than the pre-test (72.22%>53.89%). The result of the research was effective in improving students reading comprehension. ]]>

<![CDATA[Pengabdian ini ialah untuk memperbaiki hasil belajar, kompetensi guru dan siswa. Untuk mengetahui efek dari strategi TPACK (Technological, Pedagogic, Content Knowladge) akan dilakukan workshop kepada guru dan siswadi sekolah. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk membantu para guru untuk meningkatkan kompetensi mengajar mereka menggunakan teknologi dan juga membantu pembuat keputusan untuk melihat keuntungan dari pelatihan menggunakan strategi belajar modern berbasis teknologi yang memberikan satu solusi bisa di implementasikan pada proses PBM. Selain dari itu, penerapan TPACK juga diberikan kepada siswa secara langsung untuk mendapatkan dan merasakan pengunaan teknologi pada semua lini pembelajaran sampai pada system evaluasi. Pengabdian masyarakat telah dilaksanakan pada tanggal 23 - 25 Juli 2023 di Sekolah Indonesia Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Pengabdian ini melibatkan 27 orang guru termasuk kepa sekolah dan 122 orang siswa SMP. Pada kegiatan ini yang diutamakan adalah meningkatkan kompetensi guru dan hasil belajar siswa setelah penerapan TPACK. Diawali oleh materi teori pedagogic, dilanjutkan dengan praktik penggunaan beberapa media pembelajaran diataranya qr code sebagai platform untuk membuat barcode bagi guru, mentimeter dan padlet serta dilanjutkan dengan melakukan evaluasi menggunakan media kahoot. Semua media tersebut telah diberikan pelatihan dan praktik kepada guru-guru dan telah diberikan secara langsung kepada siswa-siswi. <![CDATA[This research aimed to find out whether the use of picture series media effective in increasing students’ vocabulary mastery. The research applied a pre-experimental method with one group pretest posttest design and the data were collected by giving pre-test, treatment and post-test. The sample of the research was VIII 8 at MTs Ma’arif Puro’ro which consisted of 15 students in the academic year 2021/2022, the population of this study was 30 students consist of two classes in the first grade at MTs Ma’arif Puro’ro. The research sample was chosen using a purposive sampling technique. The vocabulary test words were employed to gather information.The researcher findings show that the mean score of the students’ in vocabulary is proved by post-test was 70.66% is higher than the mean score of the students’ in pre-test 40.00% and the value of the t-test is greater that t-table (t-test>t-table). Vocabulary was greater than t-table (13.440>1.753), It means that the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted. In other words, using picture series was effective in improving students’ vocabulary mastery in terms of verb and noun.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aimed to know whether Suggestopedia as Method can improve students reading comprehension especially at literal comprehension (main idea) and interpretative comprehension (conclusion) in the Second Grade Students of Madrasah Aliyah Guppi Samata. The researcher applied Pre-Experimental method with use one group pre-test and post-test design and collected data by giving pre-test and post-test. The sample for this research was Class XI of Madrasah Aliyah Guppi Samata that consisted of 15 students. The sample was taken by using Purposive Sampling Technique. The researcher wanted to know the students’ ability in reading comprehension so that, the researcher found that too much students when pre-test got poor score. The improvement of the students’ literal comprehension by using Suggestopedia Method at Second Grade of Madrasah Aliyah Guppi Samata was good. Suggestopedia method brings good effect in reading comprehension because with using Suggestopedia, the students be active, relax, and not afraid in the class, the students’ can improve reading skill, and can help students to stimulate good mental condition. Meanwhile, the improvement of the students’ interpretative comprehension by using Suggestopedia Method at Second Grade of Madrasah Aliyah Guppi Samata was good. The effect of suggestopedia method in reading comprehension in term of interpretative comprehension help students to stimulate students’ good mental condition before the students’ answer the questions.]]>

<![CDATA[The objectives of this research are: (1) To explore the styles of empathic listening skill used by EFL teacher in the classroom at SMP Negeri 4 Majauleng; (2) To determine EFL students’ perceptions toward empathic listening skill in the classroom at SMP Negeri 4 Majauleng. This study employed a qualitative research methodology. The researcher used a qualitative method, observing classrooms through video and audio recording, documentation, and interviews with teachers and students. The subject of the research was 20 students from one class who have participated in emphatic learning activities and assessed their views of emphatic listening in the learning activity SMP Negeri 4 Majauleng. The instrument of the research used observationand Interview. The Result of the research show that EFL teacher of SMP Negeri 4 Majauleng applied five empathic listening styles, they are questioning, advising, judging, analyzing and supporting. The students gave positive perception toward the used of empathic listening skill by the teacher in the classroom due to the fact that the emphatic listening gave good influence to the listening skill of the students.]]>

<![CDATA[The study aimed to find out the students' difficulties in writing descriptive text and to find out the factors that cause students' difficulties in writing descriptive text at eight grade in UPT SMPN Manarai No 18 Kepulauan Selayar. In this study used descriptive qualitative method. The population of this study was eighth grade students. The research sample was VIIIB class students with a sample of 10 students. It was chosen by using purposive sampling technique. The instruments used by the researcher in this study were written texts and interviews with student.The results of this study are related to the students difficulties in writing descriptive text based on the aspect of writing and factors causing the difficulty of students in writing. This study indicated that almost all students have difficulty in aspects writing. In the aspect of content, students get an average score of 2.9 it was can classified as very poor. In the aspect of organization, students get an average score of 2.2 it was can classified as very poor. In the aspect of grammar, students get an average score of 1.3 it was can classified as very poor. In the aspect of vocabulary, students get an average value of 1.7 it was can categorized as very poor. Some of these difficulties are caused by several factors, namely, students did not like English lessons, lack of mastery of students vocabulary, lack of students motivation to learn, unattractive learning media, and lack of attention from parents in terms of student education.]]>

<![CDATA[The objective of this research was to find out the students’ perception toward wattpad as media to enhance reading skill at fourth semester in English Education Department Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar. The researcher used descriptive quantitative research. The sample of this research was D Class of English education department students Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar which consist of 10 students. The Data was taken by using questioner with Google form .The data from questionnaire shows that mostly students considered the wattpad application to be a helpful for enhancing students' reading kills. It means reading in wattpad has a good impact on English learning activities in fourth semester students of the English Deparment of Muhammadiyah Makassar.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine whether there is an influence on the use of spinning wheel media in speaking, especially in the vocabulary and fluency of students in class X Sman 6 Bontoa Maros. This study uses a pre-experimental method to analyze data with a quantitative design. The instruments used were speaking tests and oral tests which consisted of a pre-test, treatment and post-test. The population is students in class X Sman 6 Bontoa Maros and the sample is X MIPA 1 with the use of purposive sampling technique.. This opinion was proven by the results of students' scores in the form of speaking texts, things This can be seen by the higher post-test average scores, namely vocabulary (79.10) and fluency (85.73) compared to the pre-test vocabulary (44.47) and fluency (46.31). Furthermore, there was an increase of 77.0% (vocabulary) and 85.0% (fluency) in learning to use spinning wheel media for six meetings. In addition, the difference in the value of the t-test is higher than the value of the vocabulary t-table (73.262 > 2.101) and fluency (21.075 > 2.101).]]>

<![CDATA[Jurnal sebagai karya tulis ilmiah merupakan hal yang fundamental bagi semua individu yang bergerak dalam dunia akademik baik bersifat formal, nonformal maupun informal. Karya ilmiah berupa jurnal yang dapat selain memberi nilai pengetahuan dan pengembangan ilmu bagi penulis, juga menjadi kontribusi pengetahuan untuk halayak luas. Pelatihan penulisan jurnal dan publikasi pada sekolah SMAN 3 Sinjai dari 28 peserta sering mendegar kata jurnal, dan mangakui mereka bahwa jurnal itu penting untuk keperluan pangkat atau golongan. Namun dari proses penulisan dan publikasi cenderung masi menggunakan banyak masalah, baik dari aspek penulisan sampai pada aspek publikasi. Melalui analisis lapangan dan diskusi yang mendalam maka tim pengabdian masyarakat merumuskan konsep pelatihan dengan desain materi yang sederhana dan mudah dijangkau.learning by doing (belajar sambil melakukan). Materi pertama: teknik penulisan jurnal yang isinya terkati perumusan judul, abstar dan konten dalam setiap bagian pada jurnal dengan mengacu pada RPP guru. Materi kedua: pemilihan bahan pustaka dalam penulisan jurna. Materi ketiga: penggunaan bahasa pada penulisan jurnal. Materi keempat: pemilihan jurnal dan cara penerbitannya. Tindak lanjut dari pelatihan penulisan jurnal dan publikasi, semua peserta yang suda menulis jurnal diberikan ruang konsultasi lewat whashap dan pemateri siap mengarahkan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa setelah pelatihan dilakukan terjadi perubahan motivasi dan antosias untuk menulis jurnal. Selain itu, juga ditemukan perubahan persepsi terhadap penulisan jurnal dan publikasi, di mana mereka menpersepsikan kalua menulis junal itu sangat sulit, sekarang setelah diberi pelatihan sangat menyenangkan dan menganggap dirinya bisa menulis jurnal. Perubahan persepsi tersebut merupakan nilai positif bagi kegiatan pengabdian penulisan jurnal dan publikasi.]]>
