Abstract

ABSTRAKMengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran sangat penting dilakukan agar tercapinya tujuan belajar matematika, diantaranya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Namun menurut hasil studi pustaka dan tes pendahuluan yang dilakukan pada dua SMAN di Lubuk Basung, kemampuan memecahkan permasalahan matematis siswa masih belum optimal. Bersumber dari hal tersebut, maka perlu dikembangkan perangkat pembelajaran agar dapat menumbuhkan pengetahuan dalam menyelesaikan masalah secara sistematis. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan konstruktivisme berupa e-modul yang memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik kelas XI MIPA SMA. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model Plomp, dimana terdiri dari tiga tahapan yaitu tahap pendahuluan, tahap pembuatan prototype dan tahap penilaian. Perangkat yang dibuat adalah RPP dan e-modul berbasis pendekatan konstruktivisme untuk kelas XI MIPA SMA. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi, lembar observasi, angket, wawancara dan tes. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa RPP dan perangkat pembelajaran berupa modul elektronik berbasis pendekatan konstruktivis valid, praktis dan efektif. Kevalidan RPP adalah 3,28 dengan kategori valid dan modul elektronik 3,45 dalam kategori sangat valid. Sedangkan praktikalitas dari RPP sebesar 97,91% dan 89,00% untuk e-modul dengan kategori sangat praktis. Selain itu, peragkat pembelajaran ini efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah, dengan keefektivan 80,64% menempatkannya dalam golongan sangat efektif. Bersumber dari hal tersebut dapat maka kesimpulannya bahwa perangkat pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan konstruktivis dengan e-modul bisa meningkatkan kemampuan memecahkan permasalahan yang pasti dengan menggunakan materi Lingkaran Analitik valid, praktis dan efektif sehingga dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu bahan masukan dalam proses pembelajaran.Kata Kunci: Perangkat Pembelajaran,konstruktivisme, Kemampuan Pemecahan MasalahABSTRACTDeveloping learning tools is very important to be implemented to help achieve mathematics learning goals, one of which is mathematical problem-solving skills. The study aims to produce learning tools based on a constructivism approach in the form of e-modules that meet valid, practical and effective criteria to improve the mathematical problem-solving ability of students of class XI MIPA SMA. This type of research is development research using the Plomp model, which consists of three stages, namely the preliminary stage, the prototype making stage and the assessment stage. The devices made are RPP and e-modules based on a constructivism approach for class XI MIPA SMA. The instruments used are validation sheets, observation sheets, questionnaires, interviews and tests. The results showed that rpp and learning tools in the form of electronic modules based on a constructivist approach are valid, practical and effective. The validity of the RPP is 3.28 with a valid category and 3.45 electronic modules in the very valid category. Meanwhile, the practicality of the RPP is 97.91% and 89.00% for e-modules with a very practical category. In addition, this learning program is effective in improving problem-solving skills, with an effectiveness of 80.64% placing it in the very effective group. Based on this, it can be concluded that learning tools based on a constructivist approach with e-modules can improve the ability to solve certain problems by using valid, practical and effective Analytical Circle material so that it can be used as one of the input materials in the learning process.Keywords: Learning Tools, Constructivism, Problem Solving Skills

Abstract

[English]: Several studies have examined mathematical reasoning skills (MRS) of male and female students in various mathematics topics. However, there were still not many studies, which focus on MRS in trigonometry topics in terms of gender perspectives. Therefore, this quantitative study aims to describe and compare the MRS of male and female students in solving trigonometry problems. This study involved secondary school students who were given an MRS test. The test has been validated theoretically and empirically. The results of the test were classified using the rubric of MRS achievement and analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test or t-test. The results revealed that the overall MRS of male and female students was low. The students lacked skills in finding a relationship pattern, proposing a conjecture, and generalizing the statement, but they had moderate skills in verifying the truth of an argument. Furthermore, the male and female students were not significantly different in the aspects of MRS. The findings provide important starting points to enhance students' MRS in the teaching and learning of trigonometry. [Bahasa]: Beberapa studi sudah dilakukan untuk menguji kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa laki-laki dan perempuan di berbagai topik matematika. Namun, studi-studi yang fokus pada kemampuan penalaran matematis di topik trigonometri ditinjau dari perspektif gender masih belum banyak. Penelitian kuantitatif ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan membandingkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa laki-laki dan perempuan dalam menyelesaikan masalah-masalah trigonometri. Studi ini melibatkan siswa sekolah menengah yang diberi tes kemampuan penalaran matematis. Tes tersebut sudah divalidasi secara teoritis dan empiris. Hasil tes tersebut dikategorikan menggunakan rubrik capaian penalaran matematis dan dianalisis menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney atau uji t. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa laki-laki dan perempuan belum tinggi. Siswa tersebut kurang mampu dalam menemukan pola hubungan, mengajukan dugaan, dan mengeneralisasi pernyataan, tetapi mereka memiliki kemampuan yang sedang dalam memverifikasi kebenaran suatu argumen. Selanjutnya, siswa laki-laki dan siswa perempuan tidak berbeda secara signifikan dalam aspek kemampuan penalaran matematis. Temuan ini memberikan titik awal yang penting untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa dalam pembelajaran trigonometri.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a learning design for flat-sided geometry based on Rejang Lebong ethnomathematics to improve students' mathematical problem-solving skills that are valid, practical, and effective. It is motivated by the low ability to solve students’ mathematical problems. Mathematics learning carried out in schools should involve students actively. The research procedure is guided by the Plomp development design. The development model studied by Plomp is the initial investigation, development, prototyping, and research phases. In the initial investigation phase, the implementation of needs, curriculum, concept, and student analyses was implemented. In the prototype development phase, formative evaluation consists of self-evaluation, one-on-one evaluation, one-on-one evaluation, small group evaluation, and testing. Meanwhile, at the time of its application, it was tested on students of class VIII SMP to see the learning outcomes of the learning problem-solving abilities. Based on the development that has been carried out, it is obtained that the learning design of flat-sided geometry based on the Rejang Lebong ethnomathematics in the form of HLT, teacher's books, and books for class VIII SMP students are valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pengembangan produk alur belajar barisan dan deret berbasis Realistic Mathematics Education (RME). Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan kombinasi model pengembangan Plomp dan Gravemeijer & Cobb. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan berdasarkan hasil studi pendahuluan dimana masih banyaknya siswa terkendala belajar matematika dan menyelesaikan permasalahan sehari-hari matematika serta masih kurangnya guru membuat alur belajar berbasis masalah yang dekat dengan kehidupan sehari-hari siswa khususnya di Pasaman barat. Pada penelitian ini dilaksanakan uji validasi oleh ahli matematika, ahli bahasa dan ahli teknologi pendidikan serta uji kelayakan produk oleh guru dan siswa. Instrument pengumpulan data berupa lembar validasi, observasi, wawancara, angket dan catatan lapangan. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif dan teknik deskriptif. Dari hasil analisis diperoleh data validasi para ahli 0,77 dengan kriteria “valid” dan indeks Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC) 0,54 kategori sedang. Sedangkan untuk buku guru diperoleh data validasi 0,75 kategori “valid” dan indeks ICC 0,72 kategori sedang. Validasi para ahli untuk buku siswa 0,77 dengan kategori “valid” dan indeks ICC 0,68 kategori sedang. Uji kelayakan produk oleh siswa (kelompok kecil) 80,91 % dengan kategori “praktis”dan uji kelayakan kelompok besar 82,71% dengan kriteria kriteria “praktis”. This study aims to determine the product development process for sequences and series based on Realistic Mathematics Education (RME). This development research uses a combination of the Plomp and Gravemeijer & Cobb development models. This research was carried out based on the results of a preliminary study where there were still many students who were constrained by learning mathematics and solving everyday math problems and there was still a lack of teachers making problem-based learning paths that were close to students' daily lives, especially in West Pasaman. In this study, validation tests were carried out by mathematicians, linguists and educational technologists as well as product feasibility tests by teachers and students. Data collection instruments were validation sheets, observations, interviews, questionnaires and field notes. Data analysis used is descriptive statistics and descriptive techniques. From the results of the analysis, the expert validation data was 0.77 with the criteria of "valid" and the Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC) index was 0.54 in the moderate category. As for the teacher's book, the validation data was 0.75 in the "valid" category and the ICC index was 0.72 in the moderate category. Expert validation for student books is 0.77 in the "valid" category and the ICC index is 0.68 in the moderate category. Product feasibility test by students (small group) 80.91% with the "practical" category and large group feasibility test 82.71% with "practical" criteria.

Abstract

Good teaching materials have an impact on the quality of mathematics learning and can help students become more engaged in their learning and develop their problem-solving skills. It is necessary to develop LKPD utilizing a discovery learning paradigm helped by QR codes in order to boost problem-solving abilities. This study uses a reliable and useful discovery learning paradigm with the use of a QR code to identify the characteristics of LKPD. The Plomp model, which has three steps total—the preparatory stage, the development stage, and the assessment—is used in this particular sort of study, which is called development research. For class VIII of junior high school, LKPD employs a discovery learning methodology with the use of a QR code. The tools employed are validation sheets, observation sheets, questionnaires, interviews, and final exams. The findings demonstrated the validity, applicability, and efficacy of the LKPD for class VIII junior high school students using the discovery learning approach. LKPD practicality was 87%, while LKPD validity was 89%. The average student score on tests measuring their ability to solve mathematical problems was 92%, which indicates the success of the program.

Abstract

Abstrak. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pendahuluan, kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika di kalangan siswa kelas XI SMA di lapangan belum dikembangkan secara optimal dan proses pembelajaran juga tidak mendukung aktivitas siswa untuk secara aktif mempromosikan pengetahuan. Salah satu alasannya adalah tidak tersedianya perangkat pembelajaran yang dapat mendukung peningkatan pemecahan masalah dan aktivitas siswa di SMA kelas XI. Ini adalah tujuan mendasar dari pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran matematika seperti rencana pelajaran dan lembar kerja siswa berdasarkan penemuan terpandu dalam materi statistik untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika dan aktivitas siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model Plomp yang terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu penelitian pendahuluan, tahap pengembangan prototipe dan tahap penilaian. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI SMA N 7 Padang. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, dokumentasi, kuesioner, wawancara dan tes. Berdasarkan hasil validitas data analisis menunjukkan bahwa alat pembelajaran berdasarkan penemuan terpandu yang telah memenuhi kriteria valid dalam hal isi dan konstruk kemudian diuji pada siswa kelas XI SMA N 7 Padang. Perangkat pembelajaran sudah praktis dalam hal kemudahan penggunaan karena bisa diterapkan dalam kegiatan belajar. Selain itu, tahap penilaian dilakukan uji efektivitas bertujuan untuk melihat hasil kegiatan pembelajaran berupa kemampuan memecahkan masalah siswa setelah belajar dengan menggunakan lembar kerja siswa. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran matematika berbasis penemuan terbimbing untuk kelas XI SMA yang telah dihasilkan dapat dinyatakan valid, praktis dan efektif. Kata kunci: Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah, Penemuan Terbimbing Abstract. Based on the results of preliminary research, the ability of mathematical problem solving among students of class XI SMA in the field has not be developed optimally and the learning process is also not support the students activity to actively promote the knowledge. One of reason is the unavailability of learning tools which can support the increasing of problem solving and student’s activities on grade XI Senior High School. It is the underlying purpose of the development of mathematics learning tools such as lesson plans and students work sheet based on guided discovery in statistical material to improve mathematical problem-solving ability and students activities. Type of this research is development research by using Plomp model which consists of three phases which preliminary research, prototype development phase and the assessment phase. The research subjects were the students of class XI SMA N 7 Padang. Data were collected through observation, documentation, questionnaires, interviews and tests. Based on the results of validity of analysis data showed that learning tools based on guided discovery that have met the valid criteria in terms of content and construct then tested on the students in class XI SMA N 7 Padang. The learning tool is already practical in terms of enforceability and ease for using due to can be applied in learning activities. Besides, the assessment phase carried effectiveness test aimed to see activity and learning outcomes in the form of problem-solving ability of students after learning by using the students work sheet. Based on these results it can be concluded that the tool is guided discovery-based learning mathematics for class XI SMA that has been generated can be declared valid, practical and effective. Keywords: Problem Solving Ability, Guided Discovery

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low mathematical representation ability of students in solving mathematical problem solving questions based on TIMSS data and facts in the field. The study aims to analyze the mathematical representation ability of MTsN Batusangkar students visually, verbally and symbolically in solving mathematical problem solving problems. This field research uses descriptive method. The instrument used is a description question and interview guide. Quantitative data based on test results were analyzed to determine the predicate of mathematical representation ability, while Miles and Huberman model wwas used to analyze qualitative data from interviews. The results show that students' mathematical visual and symbolic abilities are satisfactory, while verbal mathematical representations are less satisfactory.

Abstract

Students' problemsolving abilities can be improved in one way, namely by choosing the right mathematics learning model. One learning model that can be used is the problembased learning model. The aim of this research is to re-analyze the influence of the problembased learning model on students' mathematical problemsolving abilities by reviewing, summarizing data and analyzing several research results that have been published on Google Scholar as many as 14 articles using statistical methods. The type of research in this article is meta-analysis research. The research steps include data collection, coding, calculating the increase in problem solving abilities and effect size, and drawing conclusions. Based on the research results, the average effect size is 2.02 in the very large category. Based on the average effect size, it can be concluded that the problembased learning model influences students' mathematical problemsolving abilities.

Abstract

All students from every level of education should have excellent and adequate creative thinking, but in Indonesia students’ creative thinking is still low. There are a lot of factors that affect creative thinking, such as learning styles. This study aimed to investigate the comparison of students’ creative thinking based on study level and learning styles, gender, and the combination of the three to determine which factor or type of students needs to be improved. This research uses a statistics descriptive method. The participants of this study were 38 senior high school students, 35 students of the teacher professional program (PPG), 24 undergraduate students (S1), and 12 master program students (S2). The instrument used in this study is a learning styles Learning style test to determine the student’s learning styles and creative thinking questions to classify the students. The results of this study are i) Students’ level of study does not determine their creativity level; ii) Based on gender, female is more creative than a man; iii) Based on the learning style, visual students is the best, followed by kinesthetic and auditory in order; and iv) Merdeka curriculum of Indonesia, nowadays, is essential to make the best learning process to improve students’ creative thinking.
