Abstract

Alternative energy sources are one of the materials in physics that are very close to their application in daily life. Awareness of the importance of understanding in the era of rapid technological progress in the concept of alternative energy sources needs to be built with learning that actively involves students, one of which is project-based learning. This study aims to analyze the needs of teachers in the implementation of team-based projects with the Science, Environment, Technology, and Society (SETS) approach on alternative energy source materials, in order to train students' creativity. The method used was a questionnaire and interview involving 38 physics teachers. The results show that teachers need learning that integrates team-based projects with the SETS approach because only 50% of teachers have used project-based learning on alternative energy sources. In addition, 89% of teachers face various obstacles in the implementation of project-based learning, including inadequate time allocation, low critical thinking of students, and poor teacher planning. Based on these findings, it is suggested that there is a need for more comprehensive teacher learning innovations and the preparation of more structured teaching modules. In addition, support from the school in terms of facilities and time management is needed to maximize the effectiveness of team-based project learning with the SETS approach. This effort is expected to improve the quality of learning and students' creativity in understanding alternative energy source materials.

Abstract

This research starts from a thought about the objectives of curriculum implementation related to the design of learning materials, curriculum implementation, learning plans, learning evaluations, and supporting and inhibiting factors on curriculum implementation at the Language center of the Ministry of Defense. This research uses a descriptive method case study research approach. The research begins to collect data and interpellate the research results with relevant explanations and supporting theories. The results obtained from this study show that the design of learning materials has a positive impact that is contrary to a percentage of 85% in student understanding and 15% which does not affect it, from the implementation of the curriculum applied 95% has a positive impact in supporting student understanding, in terms of learning evaluation carried out the understanding obtained by students reaches 95% and supporting factors achieved up to 95% and 50% inhibitions that come from students.

Abstract

Clustering adalah sebuah metode untuk mengelompokkan data yang sejenis ke dalam satu bagian yang sama. Proses ini mampu membantu manusia untuk mendapatkan informasi secara lebih cepat. Dalam konteks media sosial misalnya, metode clustering dapat memberikan informasi terkait konten yang cenderung disukai dan kurang disukai. Algoritma Density Peaks Clustering (DPC) adalah salah satu algoritma yang cukup populer digunakan untuk mengelompokkan sebuah data. Sudah banyak penelitian yang menggunakan algoritma ini. Namun, algoritma DPC memiliki kekurangan dalam hal penentuan pusat klaster. Pusat Klaster dalam algoritma DPC masih dipilih secara manual melalui grafik keputusan. Pemilihan pusat klaster secara otomatis menambah subjektivitas dan ketidakstabilan dalam algoritma. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, diusulkan sebuah algoritma ‘Penentuan Pusat Otomatis’ yang berbasis pada metode Inter Quartile Range (IQR). Algoritma ini diuji menggunakan dataset iris, aggregation, flame, dan spiral. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa algoritma yang diusulkan dapat memperoleh hasil clustering yang lebih baik dan lebih akurat.

Abstract

Physics concept mastery is a demand that is to be achieved in learning at high school level. In addition, the development of 21st century technology requires teachers to be able to use technology in organising students to learn. This study aims to determine the effect of flipbook e-module-assisted 8e learning cycle model on improving high school students' concept mastery on heat and heat transfer material. This research is a quantitative study that uses quasi experimental design with Nonequivalent Control Group. Participants included 70 students of class XI (eleventh graders) in a MAN (State Islamic High Schools) in Bandung, which were selected using convenience sampling technique. Data collection was done through a pretest and a posttest encompassing as many as 12 items of two tier multiple choice questions on concept mastery. The data analysis used N-gain test to determine the increase in concept mastery, and Mann Withney test to determine the effect of flipbook e-module-assisted 8e learning cycle model on students' concept mastery. The results showed that there was an increase in concept mastery after treatment was given, that is, by 0.60 (moderate). There is a significant difference in the improvement of the concept mastery between the experimental class and the control class, especially in the cognitive aspect of C3, which is 54.65%, and the material aspect of heat transfer, which is 36.42%. In conclusion, flipbook e-module-assisted 8e learning cycle model has an effect on improving students' concept mastery.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are one of the competencies that students must have in the 21st century. Students' critical thinking skills in Indonesia are still categorized as low because these skills are not provided in learning activities, especially in physics subjects. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of applying the discovery learning model with the help of e-modules in improving students' critical thinking skills on global warming material. Quantitative method with Pre-Experimental Design design in the form of One Group Pretest-Postest. The research sample amounted to 30 students from one of the State Madrasah Aliyah in Garut Regency, which was selected through random sampling technique. This research instrument consists of 5 essay questions that measure critical thinking skills and 16 questionnaire statements to measure student responses. The research data obtained were analyzed using the Normalized Gain test for essay questions and percentages for student response questionnaires. The results showed an increase in the N-Gain of students' critical thinking skills of 0.66 with a moderate category. While for the student response questionnaire after learning activities with a positive interpretation. This shows that discovery learning assisted by e-module on global warming material can improve students' critical thinking skills. The application of the discovery learning model with the help of e-modules can be an effective strategy to improve students' critical thinking skills, especially on global warming material. Physics teachers can consider using it to better prepare students for the challenges of the 21st century.

Abstract

Penerapan manajemen pembelajaran dalam pengembangan pengelolaan kelas bertujuan untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang efektif dan kondusif. Manajemen pembelajaran melibatkan berbagai strategi yang dirancang untuk mengelola interaksi antara guru dan siswa, serta memfasilitasi proses belajar-mengajar secara optimal. Dalam konteks ini, guru berperan sebagai fasilitator yang tidak hanya memberikan materi, tetapi juga mendorong siswa untuk berpartisipasi aktif melalui diskusi, kerja kelompok, dan presentasi. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Dengan lokasi di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 (MAN) Situbondo, Pemilihan lokasi tersebut dengan pertimbangan bahwa Madrasah tersebut mengalmi peningkatan prestasi yang dicapai dengan sekarang, peningkatkan kualitas menjadikan Madrasah mampu bersaing dengan tingkat. Teknik pengumpulan datanya melalui obervasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data melalui reduksi data, penyajian dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasilnya adalah 1) model pengelolaan kelas menekankan pada pembelajaran aktif dan partisipatif, integrasi nilai-nilai keagamaan, serta penerapan disiplin yang baik. Guru bertindak sebagai fasilitator, mendorong siswa untuk terlibat dalam diskusi dan kerja kelompok, sehingga meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan kolaboratif. 2) Penggunaan model pengelolaan kelas memberikan manfaat signifikan dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dan menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang positif. Dengan pendekatan aktif dan partisipatif, siswa lebih terlibat dalam proses belajar, mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan kolaborasi. Selain itu, integrasi nilai-nilai karakter Islami dalam pengelolaan kelas menciptakan suasana yang disiplin dan saling menghormati, mendukung perkembangan akademik dan spiritual siswa secara seimbang.

Abstract

Upaya membantu peserta didik memahami fluida dinamis, implementasi modul ajar berbasis discovery learning ialah solusi yang efisien. Penelitian memiliki tujuan untuk mengevaluasi kelayakan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan modul ajar materi fluida dinamis dalam meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik. Penelitian dikembangkan menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D), yang memanfaatkan model pengembangan ADDIE dengan tahapan analisis, perancangan, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Penelitian melibatkan 67 peserta didik kelas XI MIPA SMA yang terdiri dari 31 peserta didik pada uji coba kelompok kecil dan 36 peserta didik pada uji coba kelompok besar. Instrumen pengumpulan data terdiri dari lembar validasi isi dan konstruk, pre-test dan post-test, serta angket respons peserta didik. Teknik analisis data yang dipakai untuk mengukur kelayakan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan ialah persentase nilai validator, persentase respons peserta didik, dan N-gain. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, disimpulkan bahwa hasil uji validasi memperoleh nilai 83,33% untuk validasi isi dan 82,15% untuk validasi konstruk, yang mana keduanya memiliki kategori sangat layak. Respons peserta didik terhadap modul ajar memperoleh nilai 82,90% dengan kategori sangat praktis pada uji coba kelompok kecil dan memperoleh nilai 78,72% dengan kategori praktis pada uji coba kelompok besar. Selain itu, hasil N-Gain menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan modul ajar dikategorikan tinggi dengan nilai 0,79 dan efektif dalam mengembangkan pemahaman peserta didik. Penggunaan modul ajar memungkinkan peserta didik untuk mengembangkan pemahamannya sekaligus berfungsi sebagai panduan bagi guru di kelas.

Abstract

Early school childhood (6-12 years) is a crucial period for children's physical, psychological and cognitive development. Children experience an increase in physical strength, social maturity, and independence, and begin to develop a sense of responsibility and critical thinking skills. Elementary school childhood (6-12 years) is a period of very significant development in various aspects of physical, motor, cognitive, social, emotional, language, and moral. The method used in this research is literature, the data source is from books, articles, websites, then analyzed to draw conclusions. The results show that at this age, children show improvements in gross motor skills, more complex language abilities, as well as more mature cognitive development, including logical thinking. They also begin to develop social skills and a deeper understanding of emotions and social norms. In addition, the results obtained from this study are that support from the environment, such as parents, teachers and peers, is very important in encouraging children's development. Islamic religious education plays a crucial role in supporting this development, by teaching healthy living habits, strengthening intellectual abilities, and shaping children's social and moral character.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of the design and implementation of mobile learning in physics learning. This research has been conducted via a systematic literature review research. The research subjects consisted of fifty journal articles selected from the Scopus Index database, Web of Science (WOS), Google Scholar, or ERIC from 2012 to 2022. The data have already been analyzed related to the year of publication, research objectives, and physics concepts used. The results of this study showed that the number of studies has increased over the years. In addition, the use of Physics Mobile Learning can have a positive impact on increasing students' various abilities. Most of the concepts that have been utilized are in the material of sound waves, Newton's laws, physical quantities and measurements, heat, momentum impulses, and gas laws. As a consequence, the learning media can be textbooks inter-actively. Thus, the development of Physics Mobile Learning needs to facilitate in complex and modern ways.
