Abstract

The purpose of this study was found out the physics textbooks for senior high school Grade X Semester 2 has facilitated the implementation of contextual teaching and learning in senior high school. This research used descriptive method, where data collection used purposive sampling method. The population in this study are all senior high school physics textbooks grade X used in Indonesia and circulating in West Sumatra. The sample in this study were four physics texbooks Grade X Semester 2 in  senior high school used by several schools in West Sumatra. Colecting of data used instrument which contains seven component of contextual teaching and learning, which are translated into 39 items. The results showed that the presentation of physics textbooks for grade X semester 2 had facilitated the Implementation of the contextual teaching and learning. Textbook that greatly facilitate the implementation of a contextual teaching and learning and are suitable to use by schools is Sunardi’s book, which have an average value of 85% on the very facilitating category. While the textbook that has the lowest value is Marthen Kanginan's book with an average value of 63%  which is categorized as facilitating.

Abstract

The cause of errors and misconceptions experienced by some students and students is the large number of literature or books that describe the concept inappropriately. Writing difficult equations is also a factor in students' misunderstanding. So, misconceptions must be detected as soon as possible, especially in one of the causes, namely textbooks. This study aims to determine whether there are misconceptions in high school physics textbooks and physics edupark textbooks for class XI dynamic fluid material and to find out whether there are indications of other information that have the potential to cause misconceptions in textbooks.This research was a qualitative descriptive study that provides an interpretation of the data obtained rationally and objectively. In this study, data collection techniques were carried out by literature study and interviews with a team of physicists. The data source of this research was the physics textbook of Class XI high school by Marthen Kanginan in 2016 and the edupark physics textbook, while the data was the physics concept on dynamic fluid material. Credibility and triangulation techniques were used to determine the validity / validity of the data. Based on data analysis, conclusions can be drawn. Namely, there were misconceptions in book 2, while books 1 and 3 did not have any. Apart from misconceptions, the results of identification of other information were found, namely incomplete concepts, concepts that allow misconceptions, improving images, improving formulation writing, improving sentence writing, improving notation writing. The three books studied had the same findings of other information that led to misconceptions, namely on average there were 1 improvements for each indication found

Abstract

In the implementationeof physics learningi, students have difficulty in analyzing and connecting physics concepts in daily life, student worksheets or LKPD in Indonesia, which are made by teachers are taken from textbooks in schools, and the use of media in learning physics has not been implemented well. This studysaims to produce a product in the form of interactive multimedia based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) using a course lab application on work, energy, momentum, and impulse chapter valid. This research focuses on making a product in teaching materials in the form of interactive multimedia LKPD in accordance with the steps of LKPD according to the Ministry of National Education (2008). The instrument used in this study was the validity test. This validity was assessed by four validators: three physics lecturers from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and one physics teacher. Based on the research, a product of interactive multimedia LKPD based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) using a course lab application on work, energy, momentum, and impulse chapter that was made with steps for preparing worksheets based on the Ministry of National Education in 2008 had been produced. This product are tested to find its validity with the average value of validity are 87% and 92,78% sequentially in the very valid category.

Abstract

Education plays an important role in improving Human Resources who can follow the development of science and technology globally, and requires people who have high skills and critical thinking. Conditions in schools have not yet implemented the guided inquiry learning model and the application of HOTS in schools is not optimal because it has not been able to improve students' high-level thinking. One solution based on observing this problem is to use HOTS-oriented worksheets using the guided inquiry model, the guided inquiry model is one of the learning models that requires students to search for and find their own knowledge. The purpose of this study is to overcome this problem by creating a HOTS-oriented worksheet in a guided inquiry model and finding out the results of validity. The research conducted is a type of research and development (R&D). Using borg and gall as the object of research is HOTS-oriented worksheets in the guided inquiry model. The data source of this research is the result of validation from experts including physics lecturers at FMIPA UNP as validator. Based on data analysis from research, it is very valid with an average validity value of 84.2. So the results of the study show that HOTS-oriented Student Worksheets in the guided inquiry model of the nature of physics and scientific procedures, measurements, and vectors of Class X SMA / MA have been made suitable for use in the physics learning process, because they meet the basic feasibility of the results of the experts' validation.

Abstract

In the revised 2013 curriculum, students are required to have skills that fit the challenges of the 21st century. To train these skills is to apply the right model in learning, namely the guided inquiry model. The availability of guided inquiry models in learning can be seen from the lesson plans. All lesson plan at public high schools has not been identified whether they have a guided inquiry model. Therefore, this research aims to find out the availability of guided inquiry models in lesson plan Physics grade XI Semester 1 in high schools. This research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The population data in this study are all lesson plan Physics High School grade XI semester I used by 15 districts in West Sumatra. The samples in this study were lesson plan Physics in high schools grade XI Semester I from 7 schools created by teachers. Based on the research that has been done, the availability of the guided inquiry model in lesson plan physics grade XI semester 1 obtained the results of the analysis that lesson plan with the highest availability category is lesson plan 3 with a percentage of 83.3% in very available category. The lesson plan with the lowest availability is lesson plan 1 and lesson plan 6 with a percentage of 16.67% in the unavailable category. Thus, it can be concluded that the availability of the guided inquiry model in the lesson plans for grade XI semester 1 is categorized as sufficient available.

Abstract

The book acts as a source of independent learning, if learning is designed in full. Textbooks are said to be good, one of them is by fulfilling the components of the contextual approach as recommended in the 2013 curriculum. Contextual teaching books connect theories, phenomena and problems encountered so students can implement theories, concepts and principles that have been learned with everyday life. The purpose of this study was to find out whether the presentation of physics textbooks for Class XI High School 1 Semester 1 had facilitated the implementation of a contextual approach in high school. The type of research used is descriptive research and the approach used is a qualitative approach. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. The research instrument used in this study was a statement sheet in the form of statements according. The data analysis technique used is the content analysis technique and processed with percentages. Based on the research conducted, it was found that the results of this study were presented in the fourth analysis of physics books in class XI in the first semester which facilitated the implementation of the contextual approach. The book that has been very facilitating and suitable for use by the school is Yrama Widya's book. The Yrama Widya book has the highest and stable value in each component of the CTL assessment with an average value of 82.3%. Whereas the book with the lowest score is Tiga Serangkai with an average value of 64.7% which is categorized as facilitating. Whereas from the CTL assessment component, the four books generally have the highest value on the modeling component and the lowest in reflection.

Abstract

In this 21st century, people are faced with an era of globalization that requires high thinking skills.  In line with the 2013 curriculum, teachers are required to carry out HOTS-based learning.  Factors that determine students can think at a high level are the teacher, students, learning models and teaching materials used.  One of the teaching materials used by teachers is student worksheets (LKS). The results of preliminary observations, it was found that the ability of HOTS students is still low based on the analysis of the results of the UAS grade XI semeseter 1 SMA in Padang.  In addition, the LKS used in West Sumatra is diverse and the availability of HOTS is unknown.  Therefore, research on the analysis of the availability of HOTS on Worksheets for Class XI Students Semester 1. The purpose of the study was to determine the availability of HOTS on the Physics Worksheets for Class XI High School Students Semester 1.This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach.  The population data in this study were all physics textbooks for class XI in semester 1 used by 23 schools in West Sumatra.  Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. The data in this study were taken using LKS presentation analysis instruments and data collection techniques through documentation studies.Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the analysis conducted on the availability of HOTS on the Physics Worksheet for Class XI High School Students Semester 1 related to the availability of HOTS components shows that the LKS who obtained the percentage of indicators on the highest HOTS component is the LKS SMA I 28.80%  in the HOTS Less Available category.  Whereas the Physics Worksheet that got the lowest percentage of indicators on the HOTS component, namely the 19.69% SMA IV LKS, was in the HOTS Unavailable category.

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum can be seen as a solution to answer the challenges of the 21st century. The Indonesian government has supported to improve student learning outcomes by encouraging 4C skills in schools and integrated science teaching in Junior High School. But the real conditions in the school indicated that the integration of science learning material was still relatively low with an average value of 63.07. In addition, the skills which used were still limited to the science process skills. The average value of student learning outcomes in the knowledge aspect was 40.91 and this average value can be classified into a low category. The solution to this problem was to apply the integrated science student worksheet by integrating the 4C learning skills of our respiratory and excretory theme integrated science teaching. The purpose of this research was to investigate the effects of integrated science student worksheet by integrating 4C learning skills on the our respiratory and excretory theme on the learning outcomes of grade VIII students of SMP 7 Padang. This type of research was a quasi-experiment with a non-equivalent control group with only post test design. The population of this research was all VIII grade students of SMP 7 Padang. The sampling technique used cluster random sampling. The research instrument consisted of an observation sheet for attitude aspect, written test for knowledge aspect, and performance assessment sheet for skills aspect. The research data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics and comparison of two means test. The result of the hypothesis test indicated that there was a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students who use integrated science student worksheet and students who didn’t use it. This means that integrated science student worksheet has given a significant effect on learning outcomes consisting of knowledge, skills, and attitudes of grade VIII students of SMPN 7 Padang at a 95% confidence level. Thus, integrated science student worksheet by integrating the 4C learning skills can be used by science teachers and students in science teaching.

Abstract

This research was conducted because the learning process in the classroom was not yet using smartphone technology based on the curriculum 2013 revision. Each student has a smartphone device which is most are android, but they did not use it in the learning process, the teaching system using speech method, while the printed books still existing in the class. The usage ICT such as text, picture, sound, animation,and video in the class are in separated form yet. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to produce Handout based mobile learning assisted by android aplication and to know the validity criteria of the product. This variety of research is a mixed method. The research uses a validity test instrument that contains 4 aspects as follows; substances; language; graphic and utilization of software. The result are presented in the table,diagram and then analyzed to determine the advisability criteria of handout. Based on the research conducted, there are two results research obtained, first is the handout product are consisted of text, sound, picture, animation, and video while the second is the results of the validity test conducted twice, with an average value of the first validity is 86.93% with high valid criteria and the average value of the second validity is 94.49% with high valid criteria. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the product of handout mobile learning on parabolic and circular motion material assisted by the android class X SMA/MA is feasible to be used in the learning process.

Abstract

Worksheets that can help students develop 21st century skills are worksheets that contain indicators of 21st  century skills. Based on the results of preliminary observations made in the field, the student worksheets used by schools in Pasaman District still vary. It is not known whether these various worksheets include indicators of 21st  century skills. Therefore, a study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the 21st  century skill indicator in physics worksheets grade X Semester 1 in Pasaman District.This type of research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The population in this study were all Physics Worksheets grade X Semester 1 used by 12 public Senior High School in Pasaman Districts. Furthermore, for the school sampling technique using purposive sampling technique with schools selected by high category schools, medium category schools and low category schools based on the results of the 2019 National Examination of the total high school population in Pasaman Regency. Meanwhile, the sample of student worksheets in this study used a total sampling technique. The sample of worksheet in this study were 2 worksheet published by publishers which were used the most by schools in Pasaman district, and 3 worksheet made by physics subject teachers. Based on the results of the study, it is concluded that the 21st century skill indicator with the highest 37% is in the LKS Intan Pariwara by Risdiyani Chasanah and friends. Meanwhile, and friends with a proportion of 12% in the category of not facilitating.
