Abstract

Creative thinking is a crucial thing to support the development of students taking Computational Physics courses but is rarely considered, so it takes a description of students' creative thinking skills so as to provide alternative appropriate learning methods. The purpose is to determine the ability of creative thinking of college students within the Computational Physics courses. This kind of study is descriptive with a quantitative method. The studies populace is all college students taking courses of Computational Physics for the January-June 2021 semester. The studies tool is within the form of a questionnaire. The research results: Students' Creative Thinking Ability in Computational Physics Course as a whole is 65%, based on the Problem Sensitivity indicator has a direct effect value of 0.91, the Fluency indicator is 0.94, the Flexibility indicator is 0.96, the Originality indicator is 0.64, the Elaboration indicator is 0.69, and the Evaluation indicator 0.58.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pelaksanaan pembelajaran fisika terkait kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi atau disebut juga dengan Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) peserta didik. Jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh peserta didik SMA Negeri di Kota padang jurusan MIPA dengan 4 sekolah yang menjadi sampel.  Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah teknik proportionate stratifield random sampling dengan instrumen penelitian yaitu wawancara, analisis dokumen Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) yang dirancang oleh guru, observasi guru mengajar di kelas, lembar angket penilaian diri peserta didik dan penilaian diri guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan  bahwa RPP yang digunakan guru SMA Negeri di Kota Padang sudah memiliki kesesuaian dengan standar proses pembelajaran. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran berorientasi HOTS yang dilakukan guru sudah terlaksana. Penilaian diri guru dan peserta didik dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran berorientasi HOTS sudah mampu melakukan pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan baik. Berdasarkan data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa kesesuaian standar proses pembelajaran dan berorientasi HOTS dalam  pelaksanaan pembelajaran fisika yang dilakukan guru saat mengajar di kelas sudah terlaksana. This research aims to analyze the implementation of physics learning related to students' higher-order thinking skills and abilities. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The population in this research were all students of senior high school in Padang City majoring in Mathematics and Natural Sciences, with four schools as samples. The sampling technique used proportionate stratified random sampling with research instruments, namely interviews, analysis of the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) document prepared by the teacher, observations of teachers teaching in class, student self-assessment questionnaire sheets, and teacher self-assessment. The results showed that the lesson plans used by state high school teachers in the city of Padang already conformed with the learning process standard. The implementation of HOTS-oriented learning by the teacher has been implemented. Teachers' and students' self-assessment in implementing HOTS-oriented learning has carried out learning well. Based on these data, the conformity of the standard learning process and HOTS orientation in the implementation of physics learning by teachers when teaching in class has been implemented.

Abstract

The learning process in the digital era cannot be separated from information technology. Various kinds of applications are offered, ranging from paid to free. This study aims to describe the design of interactive learning media by utilizing a free application, namely Lectora Inspire. This application serves to make it easier for users to create interactive learning media designs. In addition, the Lectora Inspire application can assist teachers in the learning process with attractive and interactive media designs. Appropriate interactive learning media design can produce effectiveness in the learning process. In this case, this research is motivated by the use of learning media used in schools that are not fully interactive and are not in accordance with making good learning designs. For this reason, this study aims to design good interactive learning media by following the proper learning media design rules. The research method used in this research is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE model namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Research on the development of the ADDIE model is limited to the early stages, namely Analysis and Design. From the results of the design of interactive learning media using the lectora inspire application developed by researchers, it is hoped that it will be useful for students and teachers at school so that students can master learning independently and have fun.

Abstract

The physics outcomes of learning by students cannot be said to be good due to several factors including the lack of activity and Students' participation in the learning process and the lack of understanding of students of teacher for material presented. To overcome this, an appropriate model of learning is needed to overcome the above problems by using the REACT model. The research purposewas to find out whether there was a influence in significant on the influence of the REACT model on the achievement of knowledge competence in physics learning at Class XI SMAN 6 Padang. This research type includes Quasi Experiment Research. The research design used was the Posttess-Only Control Design. The research population were all class XI MIPA. The technique for sampling used was Purposive Sampling. Data on students' knowledge competency achievement were taken through the posttest using multiple choice questions. Based on the research data, The average value was discovered of the knowledge competency of the class for experimental was 81.94 and that of the class for control was 76.22. By carrying out a similarity test of two averages on knowledge competence at a significant level of 0.05, tcount > ttable is obtained. Thus the research results got conclussion that there is a influence in significant on the effect of the REACT model on the achievement of knowledge competence in learning physics at class XI SMAN 6 Padang.

Abstract

The development of science and technology in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 is increasing rapidly and has its own challenges for the world of education. Existing and growing digital technology supports all the demands of this curriculum. The internet can be accessed by anyone, including students. However, some of the information they obtained cannot be confirmed. For this reason, literacy skills are needed for students to be able to sort information. Indonesia's science literacy condition is currently lagging far behind compared to other countries, as can be seen throughPISA. The purpose of this study was to determine the emergence of the scope of science literacy in physics instructional material for class X senior high school in Padang city. This type of research used descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The research method is the document analysis method. The research population is all instructional material used by class X high school students in the city of Padang. The research samples are three instructional material used by high school class X students in Padang City. The research results (1) science as a body of knowledge by 90.93%, 59, and 80%, (2) science as a way of investigating by 21.85%, 21.24% and 4.57%, (3) science as a way of thinking by 24.07%, 6.42% and 4.57%, and (4) the interaction of science, technology and society by 3.33%, 0.76% and 4.57%. This shows that it is necessary to develop these instructional material so that there is a science literacy component.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of a problem-based learning model supported by PhET media on student physics learning results. This research conducted at Senior High School 6 PadangThe type of study conducted was a design of quasi-experimental. The study design used was a posttest-only control design. Samples were selected from Class X IPA Senior High School Number 6 Padang, the study population for the 2021/2022 school year, using a targeted technique of sampling. XI IPA 1 class as the experimental class and XI IPA 2 as the control class. The data collection instrument used is a test instrument. The analysis of data techniques used are descriptive statistical analysis the tes are, normality, homogeneity, and U test (Mann-Whitney). From the research data analysis, the experimental class's average value was 80.69, higher than the control class, 62.14. The results of hypothesis testing obtained zcount = 7.24 and ztabel = 1.96 by the Ho rejection criteria, namely, reject Ho if zcount <-ztabel or zcount>ztabel. The conclusion that the effect of learning problem-based model in static fluid learning using LKPD Based on PhET on physics learning results at Senior High School number 6 Padang.

Abstract

Low students' physics learning outcomes are an important and major problem in achieving competency. The purpose of this research was to find out whether there was a significant effect of the Student Facilitator And Explaining (SFAE) cooperative learning model on the physics learning outcomes of class XI students of Senior High School. The type of research conducted was Quasi Experimental Research with the Post-test Only Control Group Design research design. In this study, the population was all class XI Mathematics and Natural Sains students at Senior High School who were enrolled in the 2022/2023 academic year. The sample of this study was class XI Mathematics and Natural Sains 1 which was the experimental class and class XI Mathematics and Natural Sains 2 which was the control class. The research instrument consisted of a posttest and an attitude assessment sheet. The data analyzed in this study used descriptive analysis and a two-way similarity test at a significant level of 0.05 for student competencies consisting of knowledge competencies and that is, there is a significant effect of applying the Cooperative learning model of the Student Facilitator And Explaining (SFAE) type. ) on the physics learning outcomes of class XI students of Senior High School. This is supported by the results of data analysis on each of the knowledge and attitude competencies. With the two average similarity tests, the value of t count > t table was obtained, for knowledge competencies 2.05 > 2.00, and for attitude competencies 3.08 > 2.00.

Abstract

Education in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 is not enough just to read and write and numeracy. One of the 16 life skills that students must have in this industrial revolution era is scientific literacy. The aim of the study was to test the effectiveness of using the developed worksheet integrated with scientific literacy. However, worksheets that support literacy activities in the process of learning are still relatively rare and do not support practicum activities. One of the solutions to the problems expressed is to develop scientific literacy integrated worksheets for the use of physics practicum KIT on the material elasticity of materials. The research type used was research and development (Research and Development) or known as R&D. The object of research is worksheets that are integrated with scientific literacy for the use of physics practicum KIT on material elasticity for class XI high school. Research is limited to the product trial stage with a limited scale. Based on the research conducted, 3 conclusions can be drawn. First, the integrated scientific literacy worksheet for the use of physics practicum KIT on material elasticity is very valid with a validity value of 0.85. Second, the practical value of integrated worksheets with scientific literacy obtained from teachers is 94% in the very practical category. The practicality value by students obtained a value of 92% with a very practical category. Furthermore, the use of scientific literacy integrated worksheets is effective in improving student outcomes of learning.

Abstract

The use of technology-based learning media is a requirement in today's learning process. This is because the world has entered a new phase of technological development in which education plays a role. Technology-based education produces a generation who are technologically literate. As a result, teacher efforts are required to incorporate technology into classroom learning. Web-based learning is one example of a technological application in education. Google Sites was used for web-based learning in this study. The purpose of the study is to analyze the perception of science teachers on the use of Google Sites in the classroom. A descriptive method with a quantitative approach was used in the research. The subjects of the study were science teachers in an Indonesian sub-district. Data collection is use Focus Group Discussion, the teacher was asked for his thoughts or perceptions on using Google Sites in the classroom. The data analysis technique used analysis interactive model technique consists of data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusions. The result of study found Google Sites, according to the majority of teachers, can be used as a website-based learning media. Google Sites meets the six basic indicators of good media ratings, according to teachers. The six indicators are the media's suitability for learning objectives, the accuracy of supporting facts, concepts, and principles in lesson content, the practicality, flexibility, and durability of use, teachers' skills in using Google Sites, target media users, and technical quality.

Abstract

Science and technology, which continue to experience development in education at the school level, raise demands and improvements in the learning process. In the 21st century, critical and creative thinking skills are needed for students. Therefore, interactive learning media are developed to make students more active and can make improvements to students' critical and creative thinking skills. The development of interactive learning media aims to create interactive learning media based on critical and creative thinking skills on valid and practical circular motion material. This study used the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The validation test resulted in the developed interactive learning media obtained a result of 0.78 with a reasonably valid category. The validation results showed that the interactive learning media was not yet valid, so it needed to be revised based on the validator's suggestions to make the product more valid. After revision, the product was declared usable. The results of the practicality test conducted on high school physics teachers in Padang obtained 91% results, indicating that interactive learning media is practical to use. Based on the results of the validation test and practicality test, interactive learning media based on critical and creative thinking skills in circular motion material is declared valid and practical.
