Abstract

Mendeley is a reference management software that helps organize scientific articles by creating references and bibliographies, and software users can also collaborate on social networks. This training aims to train students in citing articles, citations, and making a bibliography correctly. The methods in this activity are the registration stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. The Mendeley training activities went well, the participants enthusiastically participated in the training activities. Participants can create accounts, install, search references, make citations and create bibliography automatically. In addition, based on the pre-test and post-test data, the knowledge and skills of the participants increased, it was proven that the participants could use the Mendeley application well and could utilize the application to manage their scientific work references.

Abstract

Water management is very important for plants and good water management can increase the productivity of rice, corn and soybeans, hereinafter referred to as PAJALE. This paper aims to estimate the water requirements of PAJALE plants using the cropwatt model. The results of the analysis show that each plant has different water requirements in each growth phase which was analyzed using cropwatt application throughout the year with medium textured soil types. Rice, corn and soybeans are the main food commodities in Indonesia. Corn and soybeans are generally planted after rice in irrigated and rainfed rice fields, making them susceptible to drought. Therefore, information using cropwatt applications, especially rainfall, temperature, Air humidity and solar radiation are very important in determining the time of planting and the right water requirements for plants. The purpose of the study was to determine the planting time and water requirements of rice, corn and soybeans, based on the results of cropwatt 8.0 analysis, and to compile a time map of Indonesian food crops so that the risk of production failure due to drought can be avoided.

Abstract

Identification of long bean seed varieties can be used to save plant variety and intellectual property rights. Using digital image processing combined with artificial neural networks (ANN) has a possibility to recognize the seed morphology. The purpose of this research is to identify the image variables that can be used to identify long bean seed varieties so that the best algorithm of artificial neural networks can be arranged and the level of accuracy in expecting the long bean varieties. The samples used in this study were long bean seeds of parade tavi, kanton tavi, branjangan, and petiwi varieties. For each variety, 400 samples were taken for training data and 200 samples for testing data, so the total sample was 2400 long bean seeds. The research stages include image acquisition, image retrieval, image variable estimation, image processing program development, data analysis, ANN training, long bean variety identification program preparation, and program validation. The results showed that ANN with 10 hidden layers is the best model to develop a long bean seed identification. The identification program of long bean seed varieties resulting from the integration of image processing with artificial neural networks has an accuracy of 99.75%.

Abstract

As ingredient raw Sugarcane industry is one _ commodity plantations that have role strategic in economy in Indonesia. Availability varieties superior sugarcane is one _ reason low production sugarcane national . However , the use of varieties superior could support enhancement production sugarcane in Indonesia. enhancement sugar production through varieties with yield tall more take precedence because could increase sugar yield without increase right capacity sugar factory . Mutation result from sugarcane varieties Bululawang (BL) was obtained three genotype potential have yield high . Brix can be made a reference for measure content yield sugarcane because the more tall degrees the brix so the more sweet solution that . Study this use method observation by directly each location . _ Measurement degree brix done with using a refractometer, with take samples on each sugarcane mutants in every location . The results of the research M1 mutant sugarcane has Highest Brix content (19.5%) and capable of adapt with good at height place ± 62 masl . M3 mutant sugarcane has Highest Brix content (19%) and capable of adapt with good at height place ± 141 masl . M2 mutant sugarcane has highest Brix content (23.4%) and capable of adapt with good at height place ± 512 masl .

Abstract

Desa Gubrih adalah sebuah desa di Kecamatan Wringin, Kabupaten Bondowoso.  Desa ini terletak di ujung barat laut wilayah Kabupaten Bondowoso, yang kondisi geografisnya merupakan daerah dataran tinggi dengan ketinggian 482 mdpl. Mayoritas penduduk Desa Gubrih bermata pencaharian sebagai petani, yang  juga berprofesi sebagai peternak. Dalam hal ini peternak bukan dianggap sebagai profesi, namun terintegrasi dengan kegiatan petani sebagai bentuk usaha sekunder.Pembuatan pakan ternak yang dapat dilakukan ketika masa panen padi tiba akan sangat membantu petani dalam penyediaan pakan ternak jangka panjang. Pembuatan pakan ternak dengan teknologi Nutriemeal Baleage dari bahan dasar jerami padi kering dapat menjadi solusi bagi petani dan peternak desa Gubrih. Pelatihan pembuatan baleage dari jerami padi dimulai dengan pencarian informasi permasalahan petani di desa, FGD, pelatihan, praktek pembuatan, serta monitoring pelaksanaan hasil kegiatan.  Pada pelatihan ini, tim Universitas Jember telah menghibahkan satu unit mesin pembuatan baleage yang digunakan secara bergantian oleh para petani dan peternak.  Tujuan dari kegiatan ini yaitu untuk memberi pelatihan pada peternak dalam mengolah limbah jerami menjadi pakan penuh nutrisi dan tahan disimpan lama. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa peternak sangat antusias untuk membuat pakan berupa baleage yang kaya akan nutrisi, dan dapat disimpan lama. Ternak yang diberi makan baleage  ternyata juga meningkat nafsu makannya.

Abstract

Melon has high potential and economic value and has been developed in various fields such as plant breeding, cultivation technology, and the creation of new varieties. Proper cultivation and maintenance techniques are one of the efforts to increase melon crop production through fertilizing with the right type of fertilizer and dosage and concentration. Information on the use of NPK fertilizer and Growmore Fertilizer to increase the diameter, thickness, and weight of melon fruit has not been found. Therefore, this study aimed to increase the diameter, thickness, and weight of melon fruit. This research was expected to get a better diameter, thickness, and weight of melon. This research was conducted in the experimental garden of the Muhammadiyah University of Jember. Research implementation began in January 2023 with an altitude of ± 98 m asl. This study used a randomized block design (RBD) with two factors and three replications, namely: NPK fertilizer: P0 = 0 g/plant (control), P1 = 600 kg/ha (15 g/plant), P2 = 800 kg/ha (20 g /plant). Growmore leaf ertilizer N0 = 0 g/l (control), N1 = 3 g/l, N2 = 4 g/l (125 ml/plant). Observational variables consisted of: planted fruit weight (kg), fruit weight per plot (kg), fruit diameter (mm), and flesh thickness (mm). In the variables of planting fruit weight and fruit weight per treatment plot that gave the highest yields were P1 with yields of 1.14 kg and 7.52 kg, N2 with yields of 1.09 kg and 6.68 kg, and P1N2 interactions gave the highest yields of 1 .28 kg and 8.20 kg. The variable diameter of the treated fruit that gave the highest yield was P1 with a yield of (24.30 mm) N2 with a yield of (23.09 mm and the P1N2 interaction gave the highest yield of 127.89 mm. On the variable thickness of the treated fruit, the highest yield was P2 with a yield of (5.47 mm, N2 with a yield of (4.61 mm), and P1N2 interaction gave the highest yield of 38.00 mm.   Key words: diameter; thickness; melon fruit; NPK; growmore

Abstract

Microsoft Word is also said to be a word processing program in the form of functional application software to facilitate writing or documents in various formats. Microsoft Word also has various types of features and artificial intelligence built into it which aim to make word processing easier and faster. Apart from that, in Microsoft Word there is also security which functions to protect the information contained in the document. Microsoft Word is equipped with various features and intelligence that aim to simplify and speed up word processing and maintain the security of information in documents. This research uses the library observation method with data from national and international scientific articles from 2011 to 2023, with databases from Google Scholar and DOAJ. Research results found that Microsoft Word features include: automatic script tracking, artificial intelligence, Track Changes, and information security. Intelligence built into Word, such as the Editor feature, provides editing suggestions and document improvements using machine learning. Track Changes records changes to documents, automated temporary reference management features such as Mendeley help and Reference Manager in quotes. Security features include new methods of using cryptography and steganography to protect document content.

Abstract

Tanaman tebu (Saccarum  officinarum L.) merupakan  salah  satu  komoditi perkebunan sebagai bahan baku  penghasil  gula. Tingkat keberhasilan produksi gula  dipengaruhi oleh produktivitas salah satunya teknis pembibitan. Pada aspek pembibitan, inovasi  pembibitan  tebu  metode single  bud  planting(SBP)  atau Bud Chips ini menjadi teknologi yang direkomndasikan untuk pembibitan tebu. Kelebihan Bud Chips diantaranya pertumbuhan serempak, tidak membutuhkan lahan luas, umur bibit lebih genjah, serta kualitas dan kepastian hidup yang tinggi. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah dalam upaya mendapatkan metode pemotongan Bud Chips yang optimal untuk pertumbuhan bibit Bud Chips penelitian ini menggunakan RAK (Rancangan Acak Kelompok) 2 faktorial. Faktor pertama adalah pemberian konsentrasi zat pengatur tumbuh auksin (A) dengan 5 taraf yaitu konsentrasi 0 ml/L atau tanpa pemberian auksin (A0), pemberian konsentrasi auksin 10 ml/L (A1), konsentrasi 30 ml/L (A2), konsentrasi 50 ml/L (A3), konsentrasi 70 ml/L (A4). Faktor kedua adalah metode pemotongan Bud Chips (M) dengan 3 taraf yaitu menggunakan 100% Bud Chips (M1), 75% Bud Chips (M2), dan 50% Bud Chips (M3). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan ZPT (Zat Pengatur Tumbuh) Auksin tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap semua parameter pengamatan. Sedangkan pada perlakuan metode pemotongan bud chips berpengaruh nyata pada pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, diameter batang, berat basah batang, berat basah akar, berat kering batang, berat kering akar dan jumlah mata dengan perlakuan terbaik yaitu 100% bud chips (M1).

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) Split Plot yang terdiri dari dua faktor dan 3 ulangan. Dua faktor tersebut yaitu aplikasi pemupukan (A) sebagai petak utama dan faktor kedua jenis pupuk Si (M) . Analisis penelitian ini menggunakan Analisis Of Varian (ANOVA), jika hasil perlakuan menunjukkan berpengaruh nyata, maka dilanjutkan uji lanjutan dengan Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) taraf 5%. Variabel pengamatan diantaranya tinggi tanaman (cm), Laju pertumbuhan, sudut daun, serangan FAW, dan serangan OPT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan aplikasi pupuk Si dengan metode aplikasi yang berbeda mampu menurunkan tingkat serang OPT pada tanaman jagung serta meningkatkan ketahanan tanaman jagung terhadap hama dan penyakit yang menyerang tanaman.

Abstract

Penyakit arthritis atau reumatik adalah penyakit yang menyerang sistem muskuloskeletal dan persendian, yang melibatkan beberapa organ dan sistem tubuh secara keseluruhan, yang ditandai dengan pembengkakan, dan nyeri sendi. Dimana penyakit arthritis sering terjadi pada masyarakat usia dewasa. Prevalensi  Arthritis  di  dunia  relatif  konstan  yaitu  berkisar  antara  0,5-1%. Jumlah dewasa yang memiliki riwayat penyakit arthritis di Desa Karangpring, Kecamatan Sukorambi Jember sebanyak 234 orang (54,29%). Terapi non farmakologi yang berupa demonstrasi tanaman obat keluarga atau toga yang digunakan untuk membuat infuswater dan senam anti rematik sebagai alternative yang mudah untuk pencegahan penyakit arthritis tersebut. Kegiatan pengabdian ini menggunakan tiga metode yaitu cerama, demonstrasi dan tutorial. Kegiatan berlangsung dengan lancar, hal tersebut terlihat dari antusiasme peserta.
