Abstract

This study aims to find a model of vocational partnership development with Business World (BW)/Industrial World (IW) that is suitable to be applied in Indonesia. The model that bridges the partnership relationship between vocational schools and BW/IW is developed based on factual conditions in the field, existing theoretical models and focuses on the concept of link and match between the relevant institutions. Vocational school discussion forums and BW/IW are held as a means of brainstorming between stakeholders. Data collection through open questionnaires is used to hear directly the opinions of stakeholders regarding the expected partnership model. The basis of the model which is used as the basis of the foundation is industrial training, Dual System Education (DSE), Teaching Factory and Work Based Learning. The Vocational School in general provides information on cooperation undertaken which requires open recruitment standards to enter the BW/IW which are clear, legal umbrella regulations from the government. The following models are produced by Industrial cooperation with Vocational Schools, the cooperation model includes three aspects: 1) the needs in BW/IW, 2) the regional ecosystems produced by BW/IW with vocational schools, and 3) the needs of the vocational schools learning process.

Abstract

Lecturers in study programs make a major contribution to the quality of study program accreditation, particularly in the upcoming IAPS 4.0 completeness. The lecturer base needs to be managed through a concrete, transparent, structured, comprehensive, and accountable system. Lack of data management in lecturers at the Mechanical Engineering Education / PTM Study Program so far is still paperless based so that it is less effective, efficient, having to copy documents, and tends only to collect data close to the accreditation of study programs. This research aims: (1) to produce e-monitoring products on the performance of lecturers based on a cloud computing system; (2) knowing the level of feasibility of e-monitoring products on the performance of lecturers based on cloud computing system at PTM Study Program. The research method uses Research and Development (R&D), which adopts the ADDIE (Analysis-Design-Development-Implementation-Evaluation) model. The research sample was 11 PTM lecturers. Validators of eligibility included the chairman of the LPM and the chair of the UST IT team. The instruments used included questionnaires and documentation. This research succeeded in producing a product in the form of a cloud computing system with a private cloud type with the Platform As A Service (PaaS) model. The data used as an assessment of lecturer performance include governance, HR performance, education performance, research performance, and service performance. The results of expert assessments obtained an average of 91.25%, which shows that this system is very feasible to use. While the evaluation results of the system implementation showed that 90% of PTTM lecturers were able to understand and skillfully operate the cloud system, thus this system is very feasible to be used as e-monitoring of lecturer performance that is accurate, accountable, objective, and safe to use.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) gambaran kekuatan dan kelemahan Soft skills mahasiswa tingkat akhir prodi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin UST; dan (2) atribut Soft skills yang masih perlu dikembangkan untuk dikuasai mahasiswa tingkat akhir prodi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin UST. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian survei dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampling menggunakan proportionate stratified random sampling. Adapun sampelnya berjumlah 59 mahasiswa. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket tentang penilaian Soft skills yang dinilai oleh guru pembimbing Magang III di SMK. Data dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif dengan bantuan SPSS 19.00.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) kualitas Soft skills mahasiswa PTM sudah baik, dengan perolehan mean 263,86 dan capaian percentages correction-nya 76,48%; (2) tiap indikator atribut Soft skills masuk dalam kategori cukup, baik, dan sangat baik. Adapun urutan pengembangannya disesuaikan dengan penghitungan nilai rata-rata terendah tiap indikator yaitu inisiatif, manajemen waktu, kerja dalam tim, kemampuan analitis, komunikasi lisan, kreatif, menyelesaikan persoalan, motivasi, mendengarkan, berpikir kritis, kemauan belajar, dapat meringkas, berargumentasi logis, manajemen diri, dapat diandalkan, tangguh, berkoperasi, komitmen, mandiri, dapat mengatasi stres, bersemangat, etika, dan fleksibel.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) hubungan prestasi belajar dengan kesiapan kerja, (2) hubungan persepsi dunia kerja dengan kesiapan kerja, (3) hubungan jiwa kewirausahaan dengan kesiapan kerja, dan (4) hubungan prestasi belajar, persepsi dunia kerja dan jiwa kewirausahaan secara simultan dengan kesiapan kerja mahasiswa. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi berjumlah 95 mahasiswa pendidikan teknik mesin semester v. Sampel yang dipilih 95 mahasiswa karena teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa dokumentasi dan angket, sedangkan teknik analisis datanya menggunakan regresi dengan bantuan SPSS 20.0. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa: (1) terdapat hubungan antara prestasi belajar dengan kesiapan kerja mahasiswa dengan signifikansi sebesar 0,053 atau 5,3%, (2) terdapat hubungan antara persepsi dunia kerja dengan kesiapan kerja mahasiswa dengan signifikansi sebesar 0,044 atau 4,4%, (3) terdapat hubungan antara jiwa kewirausahaan dengan kesiapan kerja dengan signifikansi sebesar 0,050 atau 5,0%, dan (4) terdapat hubungan antara prestasi belajar, persepsi dunia kerja, dan jiwa kewirausahaan dengan kesiapan kerja dengan signifikansi sebesar 0,146 atau 14,6%.

Abstract

Difa City Tour merupakan usaha jasa ojek online satu-satunya di Indonesia dengan driver dan mayoritas member kaum disabilitas di Yogyakarta. Namun di lingkungan masyarakat masih terjadi diskriminasi disamping kemandirian yang diunjukkan ojek ini. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk : (1) memberi penyuluhan prinsip ergonomi dalam berkendara; (2) melatih keterampilan desain autocad; (3) melatih keterampilan pengelasan; (4) melatih keterampilan pengecatan; dan (5) melatih keterampilan public speaking. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan dan pendampingan. Tim pelaksana program terdiri dari tiga dosen dan dua mahasiswa. Pelaksanaan kegiatan diselenggarakan di unit produksi bengkel pendidikan teknik mesin Universitas Sarjana Wiyata Taman Siswa. Hasil dari pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah peningkatkan ilmu bidang ergonomic dari peserta 90%, 75% peserta terampil mengoperasikan aplikasi autocad, 85% terampil las dasar, 85% terampil mengecat, dan 90% terampil berkomunikasi. Program yang telah dilaksanakan tersebut memberikan dampak positif bagi peserta yang dapat dilihat dari peningkatan pengetahuan, keterampilan dan pelayanan terhadap member sehingga berpengaruh terhadap produktivitas dan peningkatan kepercayaan pelanggan ojek Difa city tour.

Abstract

Pest insects such as planthoppers and grasshoppers cannot be eradicated using pesticides. The objectives of this research are: (1) to produce a techno-pest control to repel or to exterminate planthopper and grasshopper pests; (2) to find out the impact of the use of said techno-pest control in controlling planthopper and grasshopper pests. The research methods being used is an experiment with a test-device at a distance of three and six meters. The technology being developed is based on the Internet of Things (IoT) which is set at a frequency of 40 kHz and is controlled via a smartphone. This technology is equipped with an IP camera to monitor the condition of the rice fields. The result of the trial at a distance of 3 meters could kill planthoppers and grasshoppers within 8 hours. Whereas at a distance of 6m it was able to kill planthoppers and grasshoppers within 13 hours. At the early stage, the insect pests showed a silent reaction because their metabolism was disrupted by the sound effects released by the device before the pests died. It can be concluded that techno-pest control is suitable to be used as an environmentally friendly technology to protect rice field from planthoppers and grasshoppers.Hama wereng dan belalang yang menyerang tanaman padi tidak mampu dimusnahkan dengan pertisida. Tujuan penelitian ini : (1) menghasilkan techno-pest control untuk mengusir/membasmi hama wereng dan belalang; (2) mengetahui dampak penggunaan techno-pest control dalam pengendalian hama wereng dan belalang. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan uji coba alat pada jarak 3m dan 6m. Teknologi yang dihasilkan berbasis IoT yang disetting pada frekuensi 40 kHz dan dikontrol melalui smartphone. Teknologi ini dilengkapi dengan IP camera sebagai monitoring kondisi sawah. Hasil uji coba pada jarak 3m mampu membunuh wereng dan belalang dalam waktu 8 jam. Sedangkan pada jarak 6m mampu membunuh wereng dan belalang dalam waktu 13 jam. Pada tahap awal hama menunjukkan reaksi diam karena metabolisme terganggu dengan efek suara yang dikeluarkan alat hingga hama mati. Sehingga dapat kesimpulan bahwa techno-pest control layak digunakan sebagai teknologi proteksi tanaman  padi dari hama wereng dan belalang yang ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

E-module has become a form of learning media that displays online reference, which is considered as more attractive and interactive compared to printed books and modules. The development of e-module actualizes the use of technology to facilitate access to science literacy that is inline to the industrial revolution 4.0. This study aims to develop an e-module of brake system for class XI vocational high school students. The research method used is Research and Development. The stages of e-module development are: define, design, develop, and disseminate. The instruments for data collection are questionnaires with quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The feasibility test of the brake system e-module shows that the results of the evaluation of media experts obtained a percentage of 82%, assessment of material experts by 85%, and field test results by 85%. It can be concluded that the e-module developed is suitable to be used to facilitate the learning process of the brake system in vocational high school.E-modul menjadi salah satu media pembelajaran yang menyajikan bahan referensi online secara menarik dan interaktif dibandingkan dengan media cetak seperti buku atau modul. Pengembangan e-modul merupakan aktualisasi dari pemanfaatan teknologi untuk memudahkan akses literasi bidang ilmu pengetahuan yang selaras dengan revolusi industri 4.0. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-modul sistem rem untuk siswa SMK kelas XI. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development. Tahapan pengembangan e-modul meliputi: define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dengan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Uji kelayakan e-modul sistem rem ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil penilaian ahli media diperoleh persentase 82%, penilian ahli materi sebesar 85%, dan hasil uji lapangan sebesar 85%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-modul yang dikembangkan layak digunakan untuk mendukung pembelajaran sistem rem siswa SMK.

Abstract

Collaborative and sustainable actions carried out by a group of teachers/lecturers through lesson study with an information and communication technologies approach can meet the needs of the world of education in era 4.0. This study aims to analyze the impact of the application of lesson study in learning activities on the technical measurement on mechanical engineering students of the Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa. The research method uses lesson research with a qualitative approach. The applied lesson study model adopts Saito et al. (2005), in which its implementation consists of 2 cycles, each cycle includes the stages of the plan, do, and see. The learning media used are a digital book, e-learning using Edmodo, Toyota 7k engine stand, handphone, cylinder block, clutch, differential, dial gauge, cylinder gauge, vernier caliper, and micrometer. The sample selected amounted to 30 students and involved two observers in each cycle. The results of this study indicate that the essence of lesson study has an impact on increasing student activity by 40% in cycle 1 and 34%  in cycle 2. The lesson study also has an effect on improving the quality of the lecturer's evaluation on the students' learning outcomesTindakan kolaboratif dan berkelanjutan yang dilakukan sekelompok guru/dosen melalui lesson study dengan pendekatan information and communication technologies dapat memenuhi kebutuhan dunia pendidikan di era 4.0. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak penerapan lesson study dalam kegiatan pembelajaran pengukuran teknik pada mahasiswa pendidikan teknik mesin Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa. Metode penelitian menggunakan lesson research dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Model lesson study yang diterapkan mengadopsi dari Saito dkk (2005), dimana dalam pelaksanaannya terdiri dari 2 siklus dengan tahapan tiap siklusnya meliputi plan, do, dan see. Media pembelajaran yang digunakan adalah digital book, e-learning melalui edmodo, engine stand toyota 7k, handphone, blok silinder, kopling, gardan, dial gauge, cylinder gauge vernier celiper dan mikrometer. Sampel yang dipilih berjumlah 30 mahasiswa dengan melibatkan 2 observer pada tiap siklusnya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa esensi lesson study berdampak pada peningkatan keaktifan siswa sebesar 40% pada siklus 1 dan meningkat 34% pada siklus 2, selain itu berdampak pada peningkatan kualitas evaluasi dosen terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa

Abstract

Planthopper and grasshopper pests that attack rice plants in the Padukuhan Pondok rice fields, Condongcatur have an impact on decreasing productivity of rice farmers. The objectives of this community service are: (1) to produce an IoT-based techno-pest control device by utilizing solar cells as power supply; (2) increasing the skills of farmers in using efficient technology that is economical, modern and environmentally friendly. The methods used include experimentation, socialization and training. This community service activity is the manufacture of IoT-based techno-pest control tools and tool dissemination. The dissemination activity was successfully held and attended by 50 participants from the farmer's group of culinary sources, the participants actively asked questions and were enthusiastic in practicing the operation of the tools. 85% of participants can operate the equipment in groups. Techno-pest control tools can eradicate planthoppers and grasshoppers at a radius of 6m within 4 hours via 40kHz ultrasonic waves. This tool is integrated on the internet to monitor the situation of rice fields by accessing the website http://pkm.ptm.ustjogja.ac.id.

Abstract

Community service activities for the RAMIS workshop movement (Disabled Friendly, Safe, Independent, Intelligent, and Healthy) include the following programs: (1) standardization of ergonomic disabled workshops, having SOPs for disabled motorcycle workshops, repairing workshop inventory, and obeying the principles of health protocols in work environment in the new normal life era; (2) motorcycle service training for workers; (3) launching of RAMIS workshop e-commerce and operation training. The objectives of this PKM include: (1) standardization of partner workshops into RAMIS workshops; (2) improving service skills and equipment maintenance skills for workers; (3) improve the quality of marketing and services through the RAMIS workshop e-commerce. The methods used to realize the program are pilot, training and mentoring. The PKM activity programs that have been implemented include: (1) completing the inventory of partner workshops and arranging workshop layouts; and (2) training and assistance for tricycle motorcycle service; (3) creation of an e-commerce web for partner workshops. The service training activity was attended by 20 participants. Based on the implementation of the PKM program, the results obtained are 100% complete workshop equipment, 100% skilled workers in maintaining workshop equipment, 85% skilled workers in carrying out tricycle motorcycle services, the RAMIS workshop e-commerce web can be accessed at www.bengkelramis.com. With the indicators of the achievement of the PKM program, it can be concluded that this service program activity has been carried out very well.
