A big challenge for educators in carrying out learning that has undergone drastic changes. During the pandemic, learning activities carried out online were again carried out offline. This learning adaptation has a considerable impact on learning outcomes. Students have difficulty understanding chemical concepts and are passive in giving opinions in learning so it is difficult to integrate knowledge. During online learning activities, student learning resources are still focused on abstract concepts and books provided. The purpose of this study was to improve students' argumentation skills on chemistry in interpreting the knowledge obtained with the guided inquiry learning model. This type of research is a descriptive research with a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques used observation, argumentation ability tests, and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed using quantitative analysis techniques. Based on the results of the study, it showed that students were able to make claims but had difficulty presenting data and proving evidence. Students' initial argumentation abilities can be a reference for educators to determine future learning activities, with the hope that learning is designed not only to focus on achieving conceptual understanding but to develop students' argumentation abilities.

This research aims to explores the mental model of high school students on the concept of molecular shape from the aspects multiple representation. This research used explorative survey with qualitative approach involving 20 participants selected using the purposive sampling. The data analysis carried out in this study was iterative content analysis to determine a consistent pattern in the participants' answers. The results of this study are as follows there are 33% of students with the target mental model (MMT) category from the symbolic representation aspect on the concept of writing electronic configurations, writing Lewis structures and determining the number of PEB and PEI, 5% of students with the target mental model (MMT) category from the submicroscopic representation aspect on the concept of VSPER theory while on the concept of compound polarity from the macroscopic representation aspect, 35% of students. This is due to the large number of students who have mixed mental model (MMC) and alternative mental model (MMA) categories. In addition, there were 2 students who had an unexplored mental model (MMTT). The low mental model of students is due to the low understanding of students towards multiple representation on the concept of molecular shapes.

The impact of integrating the Common Knowledge Construction Model (CKCM) with Chemical Bonds-focused Podcasts on students' collaboration skills and cognitive learning achievements is investigated in this study. A quasi-experimental design was employed, with cluster random sampling to select the experimental (N=23) and control (N=30) classes from a private high school in Solo City. Descriptive and inferential analyses were conducted, employing the Mann-Whitney test for hypothesis testing. Results showed that the CKCM approach significantly enhanced collaboration skills (p < 0.001) and learning achievements (p = 0.014), indicating substantial educational benefits. In conclusion, integrating the CKCM with Chemical Bonds podcasts positively influenced students' collaboration skills and cognitive learning achievements. Moreover, this comprehensive model addressed conventional learning objectives and integrated elements of ethnoscience, providing students with a broader and more culturally contextualized understanding. The CKCM model, supplemented by podcasts, facilitated a dynamic learning environment that actively engaged students in knowledge construction. These findings advocate for integrating CKCM and podcasts into educational curricula, offering a scalable model for enhancing 21st-century skills.
