Abstract

Internal protective factors are factors that come from the individual to support a resilient condition due to the hemodialysis process. The hemodialysis process causes many changes to patients with chronic kidney failure, such as changes in eating, drinking and activity patterns. These factors are the main factor that arises from oneself so it will bring motivation in the process of life going forward. This research is a scoping review which aims to determine the internal protective factors which can affect the resilience of hemodialysis patients. Articles are filtered from science direct, Scopus, PubMed, and Proquest. The keywords used are “factors” AND “Resilience” AND “hemodialysis patient”. The articles used are articles published from 2019-2023. The articles included are full articles, in English, using qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods. The analysis used in this review is the analytical method of Arksey and O'Malley in 6 stages. There were 7 articles analyzed at the end of the search. The protective internal factors obtained are the ability to regulate emotions, optimism, self-esteem, strength and self-confidence as well as spiritual well being. These factors have a positive influence in realizing the resilient condition of hemodialysis patients. This research can be continued with the application of nursing interventions to improve the internal ability of hemodialysis patients to achieve a resilient condition.

Abstract

Kriteria 5 tahun terakhir publikasi 2018-2023. Kata kunci “determinant” and “mdr tb” and “rifampicin isoniazid”.

Compliance includes attitudes, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control as well as intentions that can increase compliance based on the theory of planned behavior. The aim of the research is to analyze the factors that influence treatment compliance behavior in tuberculosis patients based on the theory of planned behavior. This type of research is quantitative research with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were TB patients in general polyclinics spread across the Genuk District and Pedurungan District Work Areas. The sampling technique was purposive sampling with a total of 108. The results of the study found that statistical tests of the variables attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavior control and intention found a significant relationship with adherence to taking medication in tuberculosis patients. Multivariate test results show that the subjective norm variable is the main predictor of medication adherence in tuberculosis patients. Pulmonary Tuberculosis sufferers can recover if the sufferer takes medication regularly so it is recommended that sufferers adhere to taking medication regularly and obey the supervisor by listening to advice for recovery. Abstract

Introduction: Changes and deterioration of the condition of Corona Virus Disease-19 (COVID-19) patients are unknown and can even lead to the death of the patient in the isolation room. This study focuses on identifying the problem of nurses monitoring and supervising the vital signs of COVID-19 patients in the isolation room. Methods: A descriptive qualitative study was conducted in January 2022 at a private hospital in Sukoharjo, Central Java. Ten participants who met the inclusion criteria were involved through purposive sampling. The semi-structured interview guidelines were developed by the researcher, and they used them to obtain the data. Interviews were recorded using a recorder device. The data from the interviews were recorded verbatim and analyzed using inductive content analysis following Elo and Kyngas's method. The member checking and thick description were done to maintain the validity of the data. Results: Three main themes were found from the emerging data, including 1) the comparison of nurses and patients is not ideal with patients' conditions that cannot be predicted, 2) personal protective equipment (PPE) and monitoring tools have not reached the appropriateness target, and 3) the demand for high-technology vital sign monitoring devices was not feasible. Conclusions: The problems being faced by the nurses in monitoring and supervising the vital signs of COVID-19 patients in the isolation room need innovative tools. Therefore, it is important for policymakers and related parties to create high-technology solutions for the isolation rooms to improve nursing service effectively and ensure the safety for patients and the nurses.

Abstract

Violence behaviour poses a potential risk of physical harm to oneself or others. Violence behaviour must be promptly addressed by providing intervention to avoid detrimental impacts on the patient, others, or the surrounding environment. This research aims to identify the types of interventions for patients with violent behaviour in psychiatric hospitals. This review adopts a scoping review approach, following the analysis procedure by Arksey and O'Malley. Articles were identified using the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses) method. Inclusion criteria for this review article include English or Indonesian language articles, original articles, articles using quantitative, qualitative, and mixed research methods published within the last 5 years. From the review results of 1.128 articles, 8 articles met the inclusion criteria. The analysis results indicate various types of interventions proven to be effective in reducing violent behaviour in patients in psychiatric hospitals. Treatments involving physical, psychological, and belief-based activities are suitable for reducing violent behaviour in patients in psychiatric hospitals. Furthermore, to determine the real impact of reducing violent behaviour, supplemental research is needed to develop interventions in patients in psychiatric hospitals.
