Abstract

Mobilizing various community groups in regional elections is a common practice for political practitioners. Political parties establish relationships with various organizations in order to expand support ahead of the election. Several large political parties even have underbow organizations, in the form of NGOs that connect political parties with the community and act as a reservoir of loyal voters for their parties. In the Bandung mayoral election, the pair Muhammad Farhan and Erwin managed to attract public attention and gain significant votes. This success is inseparable from the support of various elements of society, including community organizations such as environmental communities. Farhan-Erwin, who are known for their vision of a sustainable city, have received significant support from environmental communities that play a role in voicing ecological issues and more environmentally friendly city governance. In this Pilkada, the increase in the electability of the pair cannot be separated from the campaign strategy that prioritizes public participation and community involvement in formulating policies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of self-disclosure in career development among members of the Paguyuban Mojang Jajaka in Cimahi City. Using a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques such as observation interviews and literature review, this research explores the reasons and processes of information exchange among the members of the organization related to career development. The findings indicate that the members share information to enhance skills, strengthen self-image, exchange job opportunities, and understand the challenges and weaknesses they face. The process of information exchange involves interpersonal communication supported by honesty, which ultimately builds trust and strengthens relationships among members. The media used in this information exchange process are WhatsApp and Instagram. This study shows that open communication within the context of social organizations like paguyuban can support the career development of its members.

Abstract

Berkembangnya teknologi komunikasi kontemporer saat ini telah memberikan banyak perubahan pada cara individu dalam berinteraksi dan membentuk identitas diri mereka. Media sosial, aplikasi pengiriman pesan, platform virtual, dan konten digital pada akhirnya membuka peluang baru untuk ekspresi diri, koneksi sosial, dan akses informasi. Namun, perubahan ini juga disertai dengan tantangan seperti pencitraan diri yang berlebihan, perbandingan sosial yang tidak sehat, paparan informasi yang tidak akurat, dan masalah privasi. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dampak positif dan negatif dari proses komunikasi kontemporer pada pembentukan identitas individu. Artikel ini juga membahas bagaimana individu merespons dan beradaptasi terhadap perubahan dalam proses komunikasi, serta strategi yang mereka gunakan untuk mengelola identitas mereka dalam gambar digital yang lebih kompleks. Penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya literasi digital yang kuat agar individu dapat memanfaatkan teknologi komunikasi secara positif guna mendukung perkembangan identitas yang sehat, inklusif, dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Persepsi merupakan hasil pemaknaan dari stimulus yang diterima oleh komunikan. Dalam proses terciptanya persepsi, persepsi yang dihasilkan dapat memiliki perbedaan pemaknaan oleh setiap komunikan walaupun mendapatkan stimulus yang sama. Tidak terkecuali persepsi yang tercipta di masyarakat mengenai kinerja kepolisian, yang tentu saja dapat dipersepsikan berbeda-beda. Persepsi masyarakat akan ditinjau menggunakan Teori Penilaian Sosial dari Muzafer Sherif. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi masyarakat pengguna layanan SPKT Polisi Resort Pangandaran mengenai kinerja kepolisian. Dalam mengukur kinerja kepolisian, peneliti menggunakan 6 dimensi kualitas kinerja kepolisian dari Stephen D. Mastrofski, antara lain Aksesibilitas, keandalan, responsif, kemampuan, sikap, dan keadilan. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk menggambarkan fakta-fakta atau fenomena yang terjadi tanpa harus mencari tahu hubungan ataupun pengaruh antar variabel. Hasil: Adapun hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa persepsi yang tercipta di masyarakat mengenai kinerja kepolisian SPKT Polisi Resort Pangandaran Baik, Hal ini terbukti dari nilai mean untuk dimensi Aksesibilitas sebesar 3,84; dimensi keandalan sebesar 3,90; dimensi responsif sebesasr 3,96; dimensi kemampuan sebesar 3,91; dimensi sikap sebesar 3,97; serta dimensi keadilan sebesar 4,03 dan nilai rerata sebesar 3,94 dari skala 5,00. Dengan kata lain, persepsi yang dihasilkan setelah merasakan kinerja kepolisian SPKT Polisi Resort Pangandaran adalah persepsi yang positif karena masuk ke dalam zona sikap Lattitude of Acceptence jika ditinjau dari Teori Penilaian Sosial yang dikemukanan oleh Muzafer Sherif.

Abstract

He also chose poetry and music as a way to show his love for Sundanese. This paper aims to express the meaning of kasundaan for Soeria Disastra, how is this meaning manifested in everyday behavior? And what motives behind Soeriadisastra love Sundanese. Using qualitative phenomenological methods, research data was obtained through interviews and documentation studies related to the theme. The results showed that the family environment and social environment had an influence on the growth of love for Sundanese culture. The taste was mediated through poetry and music by establishing the Kota Kembang Choir, which performed Sundanese songs. Soeria, interpreted kasundaan as Sundanese characteristics, in language, culture and society. Culturally, Soeria defines kasundaan as a culture that has a unique and dynamic beauty. This uniqueness brings pride to Soeria because she can enjoy it. Born and raised in different environments, namely the Chinese family environment and the Sundanese society, making the soul of Soeria rich, which is a combination of Chinese from the physical and Sundanese culture of the values ​​learned. He also felt that he had fused with Sundanese culture.

Abstract

Backgruond: The X social media account @detikcom posted a news report about a sexual harassment case experienced by a woman at Al-Ikhsan Mosque in Gorontalo. The post sparked various responses from netizens, ranging from support for the victim to comments blaming women. Purpose: This study aims to understand how misogynistic discourse is formed and develops in digital spaces, particularly on X, when discussing cases of sexual harassment in public domains. Methods: This research adopts a qualitative approach using the netnographic method. Data were collected from netizen comments on @detikcom’s X post published on March 1, 2024, as well as interviews with a gender expert and netizens who commented. Results: In this study, these comments were analyzed through the lens of feminist standpoint theory to uncover patriarchal perspectives reflected in responses toward female victims to highlight the social positioning of women as subjects often subordinated within societal structures. These comments not only shift the focus from the perpetrators, but also have implications for strengthening social norms that restrict women’s freedom to practice their religion and participate in the public sphere. Nonetheless, the study also found comments expressing empathy and defending the victim, rejecting misogynistic narratives. This research demonstrates that social media serves as a critical arena for reinforcing and challenging patriarchal values. The findings underscore the importance of critical awareness in addressing gender-based violence discourse online, as well as the need for educational interventions and platform policies that foster safer, more equitable spaces for victims.

Abstract

The development of information technology in the era of globalization has changed the order of people's lives, including in the field of marketing. Companies are now utilizing digital platforms, especially social media, to interact and influence consumers. One of the rapidly growing social media is Instagram, which is used by companies to promote their products or services. Trans Studio Bandung is an entertainment area in Bandung that actively uploads promotional content on Instagram social media accounts to attract visitors. This study aims to analyze the effect of promotional content published on the Instagram account @transstudio.bandung on the interest in buying tickets of its followers. Using cognitive response theory, which divides cognitive processes into thoughts about products, sources, and ad executions, this study examines how the audience's cognitive response to the content received can influence attitudes and purchase intention. This research examines whether audience engagement with Instagram content can increase interest in purchasing tickets. Using a quantitative approach, this study takes ticket purchase intention as the dependent variable and analyzes the influence of cognitive responses on purchase decisions. The results of this study are expected to provide a better understanding of the role of social media in marketing and the influence of promotional content on consumer behavior.

Abstract

Like mushrooms that grow in the rainy season, the health information that was scattered during the Covid-19 pandemic is also growing rapidly and going fast all the time. Transfer of health information about the Covid-19 case can be accessed easily by anyone and anywhere through digital media in their respective devices. Hoax in health information is not a strange thing anymore, so it is difficult to distinguish the truth from real information. This communication problem is being experienced by society, especially among elderly women in Bandung. This phenomenon has attracted the attention of the author to examine more deeply with the following research objectives: 1) knowing the process of seeking health information for elderly women during the Covid-19 pandemic in Bandung; 2) knowing the reasons for the communication process and the selection of media and health information used by these elderly women. In this case, the uniqueness of the research lies in the research subject, where the category of elderly women with various physical and mental health conditions they experience must face exposure to health information during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a case study method by interviewing 5 selected informants in this research. The results of the research were found to contribute thoughts in the study of health communication in the digital era that occurred during the Covid-19 pandemic. The findings of this study include the following, (1) the process of searching for health information carried out by informants during the Covid-19 pandemic is unique because it varies through word of mouth and digital media, with information content about various herbal / traditional treatments; (2) the reason for the search for health information is an effort to contain the spread of covid-19, a form of self-awareness and to prevent exposure to covid-19.

Pada era sekarang adalah era dimana teknologi canggih sudah bisa didapatkan dalam genggaman dan berbagai informasi dapat diakses dalam satu waktu dari berbagai macam sumber. Informasi apapun dengan mudah bisa diakases juga dalam satu waktu, Kesedihan, kegembiraan, kelucuan, ketololan juga bisa dengan cepat ditemukan dalam kurun waktu yang sangat cepat. Apa yang ditampilkan di sosial media bisa berubah-ubah dari satu peristiwa ke peristiwa dari kesedihan ke kegembiraan, dari kesenangan menjadi kegetiran bahkan dari kengeriaan menjadi kelucuaan yang luar biasa. Perubahan-perubahan yang cepat dan mendadak itu merupakanbagian gaya hidup zaman sekarang. Media sosial sudah menjadi gaya hidup untuk menunjukan eksistensinya di dunia maya. Apa yang ditampilkan di media sosial, entah itu kegembiraan, kesedihan, kesenangan, merupakan ekspresi yang bersifat semu, yang mungkin ditampilkan dalam waktu sesaat, yang bersifat instan dan hanya ekspresi yang mungkin hanya semu.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah mengubah praktik jurnalisme, dengan media digital menggantikan media konvensional seperti koran dan majalah. Namun, kemajuan ini juga membawa dampak signifikan pada jurnalisme digital, terutama dalam konsep attention economy yang menggantikan uang dengan perhatian dan waktu audiens sebagai komoditas berharga. Konsep ini mulai disalahgunakan oleh jurnalis untuk meraih keuntungan maksimal melalui strategi clickbait. Meskipun efektif dalam meningkatkan interaksi, penggunaan clickbait seringkali melanggar kode etik jurnalistik, yang melarang berita bohong, fitnah, dan diskriminasi. Pelanggaran ini menimbulkan dampak negatif, terutama bagi masyarakat Indonesia yang memiliki tingkat literasi rendah. Sensasionalisme dan provokasi dalam clickbait dapat memengaruhi audiens yang kurang kritis dan rentan terhadap misinformasi. Tujuan artikel ilmiah ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kesadaran tentang etika jurnalisme, baik di kalangan jurnalis maupun penikmat media
