Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of competence, commitment, and motivation of teachers in the Mu'adah Islamic boarding school. This study used a qualitative method with a multi-case type and was conducted at the Al-Amin Sumenep and Sidogiri Islamic boarding schools, Pasuruan. Data collection techniques used the instruments of the interview, observation, and documentation. Several activities in analyzing data include; data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study found that the development of teacher competence at the Mu' Islamic boarding school is to apply a pattern based on spirituality and professionalism through integrated, holistic, and continuous coaching and training strategies, as well as to cultivate self-taught learning. The development of teacher commitment is based on the principle of devotion because Kyai, coaches, teachers, and students live together and are supported by a religiously nuanced Islamic boarding school environment. The development of teacher motivation is based on the values of sincerity and blessing combined with modern professional management.

Abstract

Abstrak: Perubahan kurikulum pendidikan di Indonesia merupakan respons terhadap tantangan zaman dan kebutuhan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Dua kurikulum utama yang menjadi fokus adalah Kurikulum 2013 (K13) dan Kurikulum Merdeka (Kumer). K13 menekankan pendekatan ilmiah dan integrasi antara sikap, pengetahuan, serta keterampilan, namun menghadapi kendala seperti padatnya materi dan adaptasi guru. Sebaliknya, Kumer dirancang lebih fleksibel dan berpusat pada peserta didik, memberikan ruang eksplorasi sesuai minat dan kebutuhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas kedua kurikulum dalam mendukung perkembangan kognitif siswa sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan statistik deskriptif pada siswa SD Negeri Kaliwates, Jember. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kumer lebih unggul dalam mendorong keterampilan berpikir kritis, pemecahan masalah, dan kreativitas melalui pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Meskipun K13 juga mendorong keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi, struktur yang kaku dan beban materi membatasi efektivitasnya. Oleh karena itu, Kumer dinilai lebih adaptif terhadap tahapan perkembangan kognitif siswa. Temuan ini memberikan rekomendasi penting untuk pengembangan kebijakan kurikulum yang lebih relevan dan mendukung pembelajaran yang bermakna di jenjang sekolah dasar

Abstract

TikTok has become a significant platform transforming how teachers deliver content and share educational ideas. This study examines the application of teacher professional ethics in using TikTok as a learning tool and educational expression, and its effects on teacher professionalism and student engagement. Using a qualitative descriptive approach through library research, data were analyzed from literature on digital ethics, microlearning pedagogy, and teacher-student interaction. Findings indicate TikTok enables creative, concise, and interactive learning, increasing student motivation. Teachers who apply professional ethics ensuring content integrity, modeling digital behavior, separating personal and professional content, and managing interactions responsibly can optimize the platform’s benefits. Ethical challenges such as privacy, blurred boundaries, and reputational risks persist. Future research should include empirical observation, interviews, and content analysis.

Abstract

Transformasi digital dalam pendidikan dasar menjadi langkah strategis untuk meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran di era teknologi. Namun, implementasinya di sekolah dasar tidak selalu berjalan mulus karena masih ditemui kendala berupa keterbatasan sarana TIK, belum meratanya pelatihan guru, serta tantangan adaptasi terhadap kebijakan digitalisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh implementasi kebijakan transformasi digital terhadap kinerja guru sekolah dasar. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode ex post facto dan melibatkan 92 guru yang dipilih melalui proportional random sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket berskala Likert serta dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan regresi linier sederhana berbantuan SPSS versi terbaru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi kebijakan transformasi digital berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru, dengan nilai koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,456. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa 45,6% variasi kinerja guru dapat dijelaskan oleh kualitas implementasi kebijakan digital, terutama melalui penyediaan infrastruktur TIK, pelatihan digital yang relevan, serta dukungan kepala sekolah dalam penerapan teknologi pembelajaran. Hasil ini menegaskan bahwa keberhasilan transformasi digital tidak hanya ditentukan oleh ketersediaan perangkat, tetapi juga oleh kesiapan guru dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi ke dalam aktivitas pedagogis. Dengan demikian, penguatan kebijakan digitalisasi sekolah dasar menjadi faktor penting dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru serta efektivitas pembelajaran berbasis teknologi.

Abstract

The quality of learning in elementary schools depends heavily on four core teacher competencies: pedagogical, professional, social, and personality. This study aims to identify the specific role of each of these competencies in improving the quality of elementary education. It aims to analyze the role of teacher competencies—pedagogical, professional, social, and personality—in improving the quality of the learning process in elementary schools. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies in several public elementary schools. It was found that pedagogical competency enables teachers to design learning that is engaging, innovative, and relevant to student characteristics. Professional competency is reflected in mastery of material and the ability to select effective strategies and media. Meanwhile, social and personality competencies play a crucial role in creating harmonious interactions, building emotional closeness, and fostering a positive and conducive learning environment. The overall quality of learning has been shown to be significantly influenced by the integrated application of these four competencies. The quality of learning in elementary schools is significantly influenced by the full integration of teachers' pedagogical, professional, social, and personality competencies. Therefore, improving teacher professionalism through training, mentoring, and continuous evaluation is an essential step to advance the quality of elementary education.

Abstract

The appointment of a hakam, an individual who mediates disputes, in divorce proceedings constitutes a crucial mechanism for advancing justice and reconciliation within both Islamic law and the Indonesian judicial system. This study offers a comparative analysis of two predominant hakam models in Jember Regency: the formal-institutional approach utilized by the Religious Court and the communal-cultural approach practiced by community leaders or local religious figures (Kiai). Employing a qualitative case study methodology, the research draws on data collected through in-depth interviews with ten purposively selected participants, including judges, mediators, religious leaders, community elders, and divorced individuals, supplemented by direct observation and document analysis. The findings reveal that the formal-institutional model ensures legal certainty through standardized mediation procedures; however, it often overlooks the social and cultural dimensions of marital conflict. Conversely, the communal-cultural model emphasizes empathy, religious authority, and contextual harmony but lacks binding legal authority and enforceability. This study underscores the potential for synergy between formal legal mechanisms and socio-cultural practices. It contributes to the literature by proposing a hybrid hakam framework that integrates procedural justice with cultural responsiveness, demonstrating how the convergence of legal formalism and communal concern can enhance the effectiveness, fairness, and cultural relevance of Islamic divorce resolution in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan metode pembelajaran Treasure Hunt dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas V Madrasah Ibtidaiyah [1] At-Taqwa Bondowoso pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial [2]. Treasure Hunt adalah metode pembelajaran kooperatif berbasis permainan yang mengintegrasikan petunjuk dan tantangan untuk meningkatkan kerja sama, motivasi, dan keterlibatan siswa secara aktif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus, melibatkan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode ini menciptakan suasana belajar yang interaktif, menyenangkan, dan mendorong siswa untuk berpikir kritis, sesuai dengan prinsip rasionalitas yang ditekankan oleh René Descartes. Penerapan metode ini berhasil meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, sejalan dengan kebijakan pendidikan Indonesia yang mendorong penggunaan metode inovatif untuk mendukung keterampilan abad ke-21 seperti berpikir kritis dan kerja sama. Penelitian ini menyoroti bahwa penerapan metode Treasure Hunt berbasis lingkungan alam tidak hanya relevan secara filosofis dan pedagogis, tetapi juga efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di MI At-Taqwa Bondowoso.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of students in the lesson “Living in Harmony Together” provided the context for this study. Conventional teaching methods tended to limit student engagement and made it difficult for students to understand the material. This classroom action research aims to improve students’ learning outcomes by implementing interactive visual media. The study involved 16 fifth-grade students and was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation, tests, and interviews. The results indicate consistent improvements in students’ learning outcomes. In the pre-cycle stage, the average score was 65.25, with classical mastery reaching only 43.75%. After the implementation of interactive visual media in Cycle 1, the average score increased to 75.25, and classical mastery reached 75%. Further improvement was observed in Cycle 2, with the average score increasing to 84.6, and all students met the Minimum Learning Mastery Criteria, achieving 100% classical mastery. In addition, students demonstrated greater engagement, cooperation, and tolerance throughout the learning process. These findings indicate that interactive visual media are effective in improving students’ learning outcomes on the topic “Living in Harmony Together.” In practice, this study suggests that teachers are encouraged to integrate diverse and creative interactive media to strengthen student engagement and optimize learning outcomes in similar learning contexts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas peluang dan tantangan kecerdasan buatan (AI) dalam pendidikan abad ke-21 serta menawarkan perspektif etis dan humanis yang selaras dengan nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis potensi AI dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran sekaligus meninjau dampak negatif yang mungkin muncul. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka dengan menelaah literatur ilmiah terkait penerapan AI di bidang pendidikan. Kebaruan penelitian terletak pada integrasi perspektif etika dan nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam, yang masih jarang diangkat dalam kajian sebelumnya.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa AI dapat meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran melalui personalisasi materi, otomatisasi administrasi, dan perluasan akses. Namun, penerapan AI juga menimbulkan tantangan seperti berkurangnya interaksi manusiawi, kesenjangan digital, serta isu etika dan privasi data. Sintesis temuan menegaskan pentingnya pemanfaatan AI yang menjunjung nilai kemanusiaan dan prinsip keadilan dalam pendidikan Islam. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi pada pengembangan pembelajaran berbasis AI yang tetap berpusat pada manusia dan nilai spiritualitas Islam

Abstract

The Student Facilitator and Explaining are learning strategies in which the teacher can present or demonstrate the material in front of students and then allow them to explain to their friends. The Islamic Religious Education teacher at Mahfilud Duror II Vocational School saw students' lack of enthusiasm to participate in learning. The Islamic Religious Education Teacher used the Student Facilitator and Explaining strategy because he felt this strategy was easier to solve the student's problems and was under the learning objectives. The purpose of implementing the Student Facilitator and Explaining is to make students more active and to practice public speaking for students. The research context discusses how to plan, implement, and evaluate the Student Facilitator and Explaining in learning Islamic Religious Education at Mahfilud Duror II Vocational School. Strategy planning Student Facilitator and Explaining in Islamic education learning: syllabus, lesson plans, and worksheets. (2) Implementation of the Student Facilitator and Explaining in Islamic education learning, which is related to the steps for implementing the Student Facilitator and Explaining in education Islamic learning following the preparation of lesson plans, namely preliminary activities, core activities, and closing activities. Related the obstacles in implementing the Student Facilitator and Explaining in Islamic education learning are the need for more learning resources, time allocation, and student learning motivation. (3) Evaluation of the Student Facilitator and Explaining in education Islamic learning, namely attitude evaluation, namely self-assessment, peer-to-peer, and observation techniques; evaluation of knowledge using written tests, namely multiple choice and descriptions, and evaluation of skills in the form of projects.
