Abstract

The development of technology in the digital age can’t be avoided in today's life. Nowadays social media is increasingly loved by marketers as a tool to introduce or promote their products because of low costs and can reach more audiences. The development of marketing in this digital era shows that consumers not only buy products but the experiences created and the emergence of emotions are also expected by consumers when consuming a product. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis tools and the data used are primary data respondents of users of Shinzu'i UME body mist products. The purpose of this study is to find out whether storytelling marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing have an influence on purchasing decisions of Shinzu'i UME body mist products. The results of this study indicate that storytelling marketing has no effect on purchasing decisions, content marketing has an effect on purchasing decisions, and social media marketing has no influence on purchasing decisions. The low coefficient of determination shown by these three variables in predicting purchasing decisions for Shinzu'i UME body mist products needs to be evaluated in the future.

Abstract

In the 21stcentury, the tragedy of the pandemic shocks the world. This non-natural disaster is called COVID-19. Its dominant effect is also worrying about social and economic conflicts at local, national, and even international levels. The orientation of this research is to investigate the impact of COVID-19 on the socioeconomic aspects in Indonesia from 2020-2022. We set the research using official/secondary publications. Data analysis was interpreted in three formats: Pearson, Kendall’s, and Spearman’s correlations. It channelled empirical testing through Microsoft Excel and SPSS v.25. Social items include migration, mortality, domestic violence, and sexual harassment, while the nine economic items are per capita spending, well-being, unemployment, poverty, and labor productivity. Then, statistical instruments were reviewed based on the correlation coefficient and level of significance (5% for Pearson and 1% for Kendall’s and Spearman’s). The results are not much different between Pearson’s approach, Kendall’s and Spearman’s. In Pearson model, it proved a negative correlation when COVID-19 increases, so migration, unemployment, poverty, and labor productivity decrease. COVID-19 has had a positive impact on mortality, domestic violence, sexual harassment, per capita spending, and well-being. In Kendall’s and Spearman’s tests, poverty and labor productivity have actually increased because of COVID-19. Implementing semi-lockdown is a priority so that the social and macroeconomic constellations continue without ignoring the latent dangers of COVID-19. The limitations of the study are discussed in the future. Doi: 10.28991/esj-2022-SPER-012 Full Text: PDF

Abstract

The field of technology has experienced phenomenal growth. Moreover, the evolutionof cellphones has become a major draw for customers. The aim of this study is tovalidate the effect of marketing mix components and interest in purchasing decisions forSamsung brand smartphones in the Tambaksari District (Surabaya City). A total of 498informants were recruited and interviewed for data collection on pricing, promotions, distributions, interests, and purchasing decisions at cellular kiosks and electronic stores. After the data were collected, they were analyzed using the multiple linear regressionmethod. The model feasibility procedure concluded that all seven hypotheses wereaccepted (p<0.05). In the direct effect, any increase in price, promotion, distribution, and interest can increase purchasing decisions. From the indirect effect, it is evidentthat interest is a consistent mediator in increasing its influence on price, promotion, and distribution on purchasing decisions. The marketing channel applied by the sellerinfluences consumer decisions through interest. This study’s approach should thereforebe developed through constructive consumer attention.

Abstract

Initially, exports were perceived as the prestige and dignity of a nation. However, in terms of terminology, the essence of export flows is complementarity between countries, where each party has advantages, competition and excess production of a particular product to offer. The orientation of this study is to examine the relationship between tobacco exports, coffee exports, and wine exports to GDP growth in Italy–Indonesia. There are key variables which are divided into two case studies including tobacco export volume, FoB on tobacco exports, coffee export volume, FoB on coffee exports, green grape export volume, CIF on green grape exports, red wine export volume, CIF on red wine exports, GDP share of agriculture in Indonesia and Italy. The fundamental difference in wine exports from the two is that Indonesia uses green grapes and for Italy it uses red wine. The method is set through a panel data regression approach and samples for the 2013–2021. The econometric results explain that tobacco exports and coffee exports have a significant effect on the GDP share of agriculture in Indonesia–Italy. Likewise, CIF on exports of green grapes and red wines which have a significant effect on the GDP share of agriculture in both nations. These findings inspire more urgent implications for the topic of agricultural commodity exports and become an integrated whole.

Abstract

In the last few decades, tourism communities have continued to improve to develop destination attributes. The interest of tourists is certainly a reference that contains hope and reality after they visit a destination. Samboja is one area that has the most tourist destinations, both at the level of Kutai Kartanegara Regency and East Kalimantan Province (Indonesia). However, their natural destinations as beaches are not yet a priority for the local community, so their income from their development is still minimal. Through a semi-structured survey approach to 185 respondents (visitors) in four predetermined destinations, we dig deeper into the extent of the predictions of the existence of tourist visits (ETV) with several influencing variables. Regression estimates prove that tourist income, travel costs, and travel time have had a significant impact on ETV. From a similar test, the cost of travel to other attractions and facilities actually has an insignificant effect on ETV. The empirical evidence from this study is likely to be the right policy and can be applied by the tourism development community there.

Abstract

In addition to labor, investment, consumption, government spending, and exports, this work attempts to include elements of health, education, and technology which are seen as important in strengthening the agricultural sector. The paper aimed to assess the relationship between labor, investment, consumption, government spending, and exports on agricultural GDP based on two formats. First, modeling without health, education, and technology. Second, modeling includes health, education, and technology. A series of data series were observed in simultaneous and partial regression modeling. The case study is Indonesia, where testing was conducted during 2010–2022. The empirical findings conclude two points: (1) involving health, education, and technology, results are better on agricultural GDP growth than without including all three; and (2) although initially health, education, and technology were very essential, only health has positive implications for GDP growth. Without these three variables, in the short term, labor, investment, consumption, government spending, and exports also play a role in the development of the agricultural economy in Indonesia. Thus, labor, consumption, and exports remain to be increased for the future of agricultural GDP by optimizing human capital through health, education, and technology.

Abstract

This study was designed to investigate the relationship between Society 5.0 and the development of entrepreneurial competencies. The research employed a questionnaire-based interview involving 159 dragon fruit farmers in the Indonesian Capital City/Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN). The collected questionnaire data were analyzed using moderated regression techniques. The results indicate a correlation between the proposed hypotheses and the findings, demonstrating that digital skills, understanding of information technology (IT), and relevant education significantly influence adaptive attitudes and mental readiness. Furthermore, both adaptive attitudes and mental readiness have a substantial effect on entrepreneurial competence. Digital skills, understanding of IT, and relevant education, when moderated by adaptive attitudes, can enhance entrepreneurial competence. However, mental readiness does not serve as a moderating factor. These findings contribute valuable insights to both academic discourse and practical policies aimed at enhancing farmers' entrepreneurial competencies within the framework of a sustainable Society 5.0.
