Abstract

The tea commodity has an important role in the Indonesian economy, namely as an absorption of labor, a source of income for farmers, foreign exchange, encouraging agro-industrial development and environmental conservation. The purpose of this study is to determine and evaluate the sustainability status of the Barokah farmer group's tea plantations. The research was conducted in the tea plantation agro-industry of the Barokah farmer group, Ciwidey District, Bandung Regency. The data used in this study consisted of primary data and secondary data. Primary data used in this study were obtained from direct observations in the field and direct interviews with the object of research. Secondary data in this study were obtained from related parties such as the Barokah Farmer Group, the people's tea agro-industry, the Lebak Muncang Village Office. Apart from what has been mentioned above, researchers also use secondary data from literature studies, journals, previous research. The analysis method uses multidimensional scaling (MDS). The results showed the evaluation results of the agro-industrial sustainability of the Barokah farmer groups' tea plantations, showing all dimensions, namely ecological, economic, social, institutional and technological in the sufficient category.

Abstract

Increasing rice production through improvements on the production side is important to be implemented to achieve food sovereignty, resilience and self-sufficiency. Several government efforts to increase national rice production have been carried out. The research objective was to analyze the comparative income of farmers in lowland rice farming using the legowo row and conventional cropping system technology in Karawang district. The research design used a quantitative approach. This research was conducted in Karawang Regency, the sample of farmers in the legowo row and conventional cropping system technology was 110 farmers consisting of 50 farmers who used the jarwo planting system, and 60 farmers who used the conventional planting system. Cost analysis is done by grouping the costs used which consist of fixed costs and variable costs and different tests. The results of the research were farmers' income in lowland rice farming using the legowo row cropping system with an average value (Rp. 38,026,916.41 / ha / MT) from the conventional planting system (Rp. 28,118,602 / ha / MT). The comparison of lowland rice farming farmers' income based on different test analysis shows that there is a difference between the income of farmers in lowland rice farming that applies the legowo row planting system technology which is greater than conventional.

Abstract

Rice is the staple food for Indonesian people, to maintain domestic supply, rice market must be efficient. The purposes of this study are to analyze: (1) Marketing cost and (2) Marketing efficiency. This study used survey methods, snowball sampling is done in this study, data used consist of primary and secondary data, the data were analyzed by mathematic and descriptive analyze, the location of the study is in the centre of rice production in Ciamis district and centre of rice production in West Java. The results show that thr rice marketing in Ciamis is more efficient than those of West Java Province, this condition is due to low cost of marketing and lower price of paddy, therefore the rice which produced in Ciamis district has competitve advantage in the market in West Java.

Abstract

There are many factors that influence the sustainability of rice farming, including social factors, namely cooperation and coordination between farmers. However, the level of farmer participation in cooperation and coordination can differ from one region to another. The purpose of this study was to describe the factors that influence cooperation and coordination of rice farmers and then compare them between rice farmers in Ciracap District, Sukabumi Regency and Rancaekek District, Bandung Regency. The design of this study used quantitative research with a comparative approach. The population in this study were rice farmers in Ciracap and Rancaekek Districts with a sample size of 44 rice farmers in Ciracap District and 41 rice farmers in Rancaekek. The results of the study showed that there were significant differences in terms of cooperation and coordination between rice farmers in Ciracap and Rancaekek. Rice farmers in Ciracap were stronger in carrying out cooperation and coordination between their farmers than rice farmers in Rancaekek.

Abstract

Fermented drinks made from fruits and spices are known to be beneficial for health and have high economic value. Public interest in these types of drinks has increased. However, the level of public knowledge and consumption of fermented drinks is still very low. The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between the characteristics of fermented drink consumers with consumer knowledge and consumption behavior. The research method used a survey method. The characteristics of fermented drink consumers are mostly female, living in boarding houses with flu as a common disease. There is a significant relationship between the gender of fermented drink consumers with knowledge about the types and benefits of fermented drinks. Then, the type of fermented drink is significantly related to the type of disease that is often suffered.

Abstract

Rasi is the main food of Kampung Adat Cirendeu people, old farmer age and low motivate of young generation in cassava farming become a serious problem in cassava farming, cassava is the raw material of rasi (the main food).  The purpose of this study is to analyse casava farmer-farm characteristic and to analyse the income structure of cassava farmer. The research use census method, the number of farmers is 12 farmers, the analyse of study  is statistic descriptive analyse. The result shows that the age of farmer is 65-year-old, the experience of farming is 40 years, the number of people in a family is 4 persons, the education of farmer is an elementary school.  The land area of farmer is 1,07 ha, the majority of them are land owner, farmer cultivate cassava by polyculture system. The majority (74%) of income came from non-agriculture sector, cassava farming and processing contribute 21%, another farming (non casava farming) contribute 1 % and livestock farm and farm worker contribute 4% of family income.  Therefore, the role of cassava farming and processing contribute less income to the family income.

Abstract

Edible flowers are flowers that can be consumed, used as garnishes in food dishes.  The edible flower global market is growing, but domestic production shows a slower increase compared to non-edible flowers. The supply and demand for edible flowers is related to its price.  The aim of this research is to analyze the importance, performance and suitability of edible flowers price for consumers.   The research design used is a quantitative design. This research method uses a survey method. The analysis used descriptive statistical analysis; the sample was taken randomly. The research was carried out at PT XXX. The research results show: PT XXX determines the price of edible flowers primarily based on quality considerations, then based on benefit considerations.  The consumer's interest in paying the purchase price is primarily based on quality, the next consideration is quantity. Consumer prefer to pay edible flower especially the benefits of edible flowers, then the quality of edible flowers. Consumer opinion: The price of edible flower from PT XXX is not much cheaper than from other sellers, the price of edible flower according to consumers is relatively expensive

Abstract

Potato farming requires a lot of production costs, most of the farmers in Margamulya village are land tenants and 40% of farmers rely on capital from the city. This condition has an impact on the cultivated land cultivated by farmers.  The purpose of this study is to analyze the cost structure of potato farming based on the land area.   The research method used is the survey method, the data used consists of primary and secondary data, primary data is obtained from random sample farmers.  The analysis used is descriptive analysis and mathematical analysis which includes the proportion of cost components to total costs, revenue analysis and RC ratio.  The results of the study show: The production cost of potato farmers in Margamulya village is Rp 81,527,000 per hectare, 93 percent of the total cost is variable costs. The portion of seed costs is the largest (61%), followed by labor costs (21%) and then manure costs (16%) of the total variable costs.  The production costs of potato farmers with below-average land area are greater than those of farmers with above-average land area, thus farmers with above-average land area are more efficient in using production costs.

Abstract

The decline in Kecap Bango's Top Brand Index over recent years highlights the need for evaluating the factors influencing brand loyalty. This study aims to analyze the impact of brand image, price, and product quality on the brand loyalty of Kecap Bango. Data were collected through a survey of 80 respondents who are consumers of Kecap Bango at Toko X, Cirebon, and analyzed using multiple linear regression methods. The results indicate that brand image and price significantly influence brand loyalty, while product quality does not have a significant effect. Simultaneously, brand image, price, and product quality collectively have a positive impact on brand loyalty. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening brand image and setting competitive pricing in building brand loyalty, ultimately supporting the enhancement of Kecap Bango's brand performance.

Abstract

Agrotourism is an alternative form of tourism that utilizes Indonesia’s natural wealth, such as agriculture, plantations, livestock, and forestry, as attractions for tourists. The number of visitors to Mupu Jeruk agrotourism has fluctuated, tending to stagnate with an average value of 0.0006%. This indicates the need for an effective marketing strategy, especially through the application of marketing mix models. This study aims to describe the implementation of the 7P marketing mix and to identify the 7P marketing mix variables which need improvement. In this study, the researcher used descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach and a case study method. The result shows that (1) The product strategy includes the availability of an orange-picking attraction for visitors and two additional facilities, namely a restaurant and a café. (2) The cost-based pricing strategy applied is still quite affordable for visitors. (3) The location strategy is good because of strategic location and easy access. (4) Promotional strategies via social media still need to be improved and promotional discounts on tourist prices must be consistently carried out. (5) By having a training process and providing appropriate SOPs to employees, the services and employee skills are rated well by visitors. (6) The service process planning consumer convenience, with various payment methods. (7) Mupu Jeruk supports consumer activities well, as seen from the physical facilities including toilets and mushola, but Mupu Jeruk needs to improve their parking area and also add signs in the entrance.
