Abstract

Character education is essentially required to be applied in educational institutions and in the teaching system of education today. Without character education, it means permitting the mix of clarity of understanding of moral values ​​and ambiguous nature which prevent students from making decisions based on a strong moral foundation. This study is a field research which aims to determine the formation of character and factors that influence the formation of character of students at the Al-Fityah Integrated Islamic Primary School Pekanbaru. The type of research is qualitative research. The subject of this study was teachers at the Alfityah Pekanbaru Integrated Islamic Primary School, amounting to 42 people. While the objects in this study were Al-Fityah Islamic Primary School Students totaling 439 people. Data collection techniques in research are observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the results of this study, it showed that the Formation of students' Characters in the Al-Fityah Integrated Islamic Primary Schools Pekanbaru essentially teaches andimplements Islamic manners to students and then refuses them in their daily lives both in the school environment and in the home environment with reference to 10 muwasafat. Character formation is good in the school environment and it directly guided and cared for by the teachers, while at home the character formation of the children is guided by both parents through the Adab Monitoring Book (BMA) and then evaluated by the teacher at school. There are several factors that influence character formation, namely: family or parents, friends, environment, and the influence of television and other electronic media including the internet.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the problem of mastering Arabic in the Faculty of Islamic studies (FAI), Islamic university of Riau (UIR). This problem focused on the students’ quality and learning interest of FAI UIR on language mastery, both Arabic and English. This foreign language or second language mastery program such as Arabic or English is made in the form of language classes. Language classes are initially unattended by a special institution such as a language center now under the supervision of the FAI UIR language center, the forerunner of the UIR language center called CELAD (Center for Languages ​​and Academic Development). Formulation The problem of this research is how the implementation of Arabic learning and the influence of the Arabic language class on the mastery of student learning in the Faculty of Islamic Studies UIR. The purpose of this study was to find out the implementation of Arabic learning and the influence of the Arabic language class on the mastery of student learning in the Faculty of Islamic studies. The type of this research is descriptive as well as qualitiative and quantitative research. The literature review used is language learning, the influence of the Arabic language class, and vocabulary mastery (al-mufradat). Then based on the results of the study using quantitative descriptive analysis, it found that the implementation of Arabic learning and the influence of the Arabic class on students’ vocabulary mastery of FAI UIR can be said to be "good".

Abstract

The religious education study program is an education program that has a fairly stable chance of accepting new students. The development of the number of students in the Islamic education study program is relatively fluctuating.  Year after year, the number of students is relatively constant. If there is a decrease in the interest of prospective new students, then the decline is not too drastic. Likewise, when there is an increase in interest, the increase is not too significant. The research method chosen in this study is descriptive quantitative, which is to visualize the phenomenon with representative numbers. Data were collected using survey instruments and data analysis using the percentage formula, then presented with a pie chart. The results showed that the main factors influencing student decisions include intention (self-motivation), family encouragement, religious motivation, career prospects, social environment, and ukhrawi paradigm. The findings are expected to be a reference for educational institutions in improving the attractiveness and quality of study programs.

Abstract

Kurikulum merdeka sudah mulai diterapkan di beberapa sekolah di Indonesia. Perubahan kurikulum dan penerapan kurikulum baru (kurikulum merdeka) masih menimbulkan kesulitan bagi guru termasuk guru sekolah dasar (SD). Hal ini disebabkan karena masih kurangnya pelatihan-pelatihan implementasi kurikulum merdeka dari pemerintah. Sebagian guru belajar secara mandiri dalam mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran. Salah satu perangkat pembelajaran pada kurikulum merdeka yaitu modul ajar. Modul ajar merupakan perangkat pembelajaran yang harus disiapkan oleh guru. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat adalah untuk melakukan pelatihan dan pendampingan bagi guru-guru SDN 184 Pekanbaru dalam membuat e-modul ajar berbasis numerasi. Tempat pengabdian dilakukan di SDN 184 Pekanbaru. Pelaksanaan pengabdian dilakukan dengan tahapan observasi dilapangan, pelatihan dan pendampingan pembuatan e-modul. Pelaksanaan pengabdian dilakukan selama 2 kali pertemuan. Adapun hasil pengabdian yang dilakukan menenjukkan bahwa guru-guru antusias dengan kegiatan yang dilakukan. Guru-guru ikut berpartisipasi dalam dan aktif pada pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian. Pada kegiatan penutup dan evaluasi, perwakilan guru SDN 184 Pekanbaru menyampaikan harapannya agar kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan dapat berkelanjutan dengan tema atau topik yang berbeda.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Evaluasi pada anak usia dini berbeda dengan model penilaian pada jenjang pendidikan dasar dan menengah. Evaluasi pada anak usia dini dilakukan dengan mengadakan suatu pengamatan, pencatatan dan dokumentasi tentang kegiatan anak. Evaluasi tidak hanya digunakan untuk mengukur keberhasilan suatu program, akan tetapi untuk memantau kemajuan dan perkembangan anak. Pelaksanaan penilaian pada anak usia dini dilakukan secara bertahap dan berkesinambungan sehingga kemajuan belajar dan perkembangannya dapat diketahui. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana konsep ealuasi pembelajaran bagi anak usia dini perspektif Al-Qur’an. Penelitian ini didesain dalam bentuk penelitian kepustakaan atau library research yang menggunakan berbagai sumber data penelitian dan menganalisisnya dengan content analysis, yaitu pengolahan data dengan cara pemilihan tersendiri yang berkaitan dengan pembahasan dari beberapa gagasan atau pemikiran para tokoh pendidikan kemudian dideskripsikan. Sumber data penelitian ini ialah Al-Quran, Tafsir, dan buku-buku serta jurnal yang berhubungan dengan pokok pembahsan. Dari hasil penelitian ini terdapat beberapa istilah atau term evaluasi yang ada dalam Al-Quran diantaranya Al-hisab, Sbibab /ba’a, dan al-inba'. Beberapa term tersebut pada hakikatnya menjelaskan tentang sistem atau teknik evaluasi yang dilakukan Allah terhadap hamba-hambanya yang bisa menjadi dasar untuk melakukan evaluasi pembelajaran bagi anak usia dini perspektif Al-Qur’an.Kata Kunci:  Evaluasi Pembelajaran, Anak Usia Dini, Perspektif Al-Qur’anABSTRACT. Early childhood evaluation is different from the assessment model for primary and secondary education levels. Early childhood evaluation is carried out by observing, recording and documenting the children’s activities. This evaluation is not only used to measure the success of a program, but to monitor children’s progress and development. The assessments for early childhood education are carried out in stages and continuously so that the learning progress and development can be identified. This article aims to find out the concept of learning evaluation for young children from the perspective of the Quran. This study is designed in the form of library research which uses various  data sources and analyzes them using content analysis, that is processing data by selecting separately related to the discussion of several ideas or thoughts of educational figures and then describes them. The data sources of the study are the Quran, Tafsir, books and journals related to the subject of discussion. Based on the results of the study, it is known that there are several evaluation terms in the Quran, such as Al-hisab, Shibab/ba'a, and al-inba'. Some of these terms essentially explain the evaluation system or technique that Allah carries out on His servants which can be the basis of learning evaluation for young children from perspective of the Quran. Keywords: Learning Evaluation, Young Children, The Quran Perspective

Abstract

Pemerolehan keterampilan sosial pada anak usia dini merupakan hal penting dalam perkembangan individu yang memengaruhi kemampuan mereka untuk berinteraksi, bekerja sama, dan membangun hubungan sosial yang positif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara komprehensif konsep, faktor yang memengaruhi, dan strategi efektif dalam mengembangkan keterampilan sosial anak usia dini. Metode yang digunakan adalah tinjauan sistematis literatur dari jurnal nasional dan internasional terindeks dalam sepuluh tahun terakhir (2015-2025). Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan sosial dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal seperti perkembangan kognitif, regulasi emosi, serta eksternal meliputi peran orang tua, program pendidikan, dan budaya. Berbagai strategi intervensi yang efektif teridentifikasi, terutama melalui pendekatan berbasis bermain aktif. Tinjauan ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam memperkaya pemahaman teoritis tentang dinamika pemerolehan keterampilan sosial serta menawarkan rujukan praktis bagi pendidik dan praktisi dalam merancang intervensi yang kontekstual dan berbasis bukti. Temuan ini mempertegas urgensi pengembangan model intervensi yang adaptif terhadap karakteristik anak serta perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan terkini.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bernama Bimbingan Tekhnis (BIMTEK) PAUD INKLUSI. Kegiatan ini di dasari permasalahan Guru TK ABA Kabupaten Kampar Propinsi Riau yang belum mengetahui tentang anak berkebutuhan khusus, strategi pembelajaran anak berkebutuhan khusus serta Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran Harian Individual (RPPHI). tujuan kegiatan ini adalah memberikan pelatihan secara tekhnis kepada guru guru tentang Pengenalan anak berkebutuhan khusus dan rancangan pembelajaran anak berkebutuhan khusus, agar guru guru TK ABA Riau memperoleh pengetetahuan yang komprehensif tentang anak berkebutuhan khusus dan penyelenggaran PAUD inklusi. Metode pelaksanaan dalam kegiatan pengabdian pada guru  TK ABA Aisyiyah Riau di Kabupaten Kampar: (1) Tahap Persiapan, (2) Tahap Pelaksanaan Pengabdian , (3) Observasi dan (4) Tahap Refleksi. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode ceramah dan praktek. Hasil Refleksi menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pada guru TK ABA Kabupaten Kampar Propinsi Riau tentang pengetahuan anak berkebutuhan khusus serta memiliki ketrampilan dalam membuat rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran harian individual (RPPHI)

Abstract

A critical gap exists between the theoretical importance of Arabic language environments in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) and their practical implementation effectiveness. While previous research has identified various obstacles in Arabic language learning, comprehensive analysis of implementation conditions and systemic challenges in Riau Province remains underexplored. This study addresses this gap by examining Arabic language environment implementation conditions in 12 pesantren in Riau Province using qualitative exploratory case study design. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with pesantren leaders, participant observation, and document analysis. Thematic analysis with triangulation was used for data analysis. Findings reveal a significant gap between policy and practice: 58.3% of pesantren have formal regulations but only 33.3% require full Arabic communication. Main challenges include Santri psychological factors (58.3% shyness/lack of confidence), limited competent teachers (50%), and inadequate facilities (41.7% have no supporting facilities, 0% have language laboratories). Program effectiveness is low (58.3% rate as less effective) with traditional approaches dominating (66.7% daily vocabulary memorization). However, 100% of leaders support the program and 66.7% of Santri are religiously motivated. The study recommends a holistic implementation model integrating five components: strengthening regulations, improving human resources, developing facilities, implementing communicative programs, and establishing evaluation systems. This research contributes to theoretical understanding of language environment implementation and provides practical recommendations for strengthening Arabic language programs in pesantren.

Abstract

The digital era has brought significant changes to the learning of the Arabic language and Islamic education. This study explores the potential and challenges of using an integration portal as an innovative solution in this context. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, involving literature review, content analysis of existing learning portals, and interviews with experts, this research identifies the key features of an effective integration portal, its benefits, and the challenges of implementation. The results show that the integration portal can enhance student motivation, learning efficiency, and access to quality materials. However, challenges such as resistance to change and infrastructure limitations need to be addressed. The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) opens new opportunities for personalized learning. This study concludes that the success of the integration portal lies in its ability to blend traditional values with technological innovation, and it suggests collaborative development and continuous evaluation to improve its effectiveness.

Abstract

Outcome-Based Education (OBE) requires assessment that captures not only knowledge but also professional dispositions and observable performance. Program-level evidence in Arabic Language Education (ALE) remains limited, especially studies that link holistic assessment design to institutional quality indicators and graduate outcomes. The study aims to appraise the effectiveness of a holistic assessment system (cognitive–affective–psychomotor) in the ALE Study Program at Universitas Islam Riau using Goal Free Evaluation (GFE) and to examine its association with academic attainment and graduate outcomes. This study is a mixed-methods, descriptive dominant design employing GFE to evaluate effectiveness through actual outcomes rather than predetermined targets. Data sources included three academic years (Y2 [2022] to Y [2025]) of institutional records, quality assurance documents (GLOs•CLOs•sub-CLOs; rubrics), micro-teaching artefacts, student satisfaction surveys, and a tracer study. Association with academic attainment was examined through temporal trends in GPA and on-time graduation; association with graduate outcomes through employment rates and time-to-job. Findings: GFE evaluation revealed system effectiveness across all domains: (i) cognitive—mean GPA remained consistently high (3.69–3.78) and on time graduation reached 52% in Y; (ii) affective—“very good” ratings ≥75% across service dimensions; (iii) psychomotor—standardized micro teaching ecosystem (≥4 practices/semester; ≥10 core skills; B threshold). Association with academic attainment: The 40–30–30 design, explicitly linked to GLOs→CLOs, showed a strong association: stable, high GPAs across three years and improved on-time graduation indicate that the system effectively supports quality and efficiency. Association with graduate outcomes: Strong positive association demonstrated—97.5% placement, 4.8-month time-to-job, with education sector dominance (~77%) corresponding to psychomotor emphasis on teaching skills. The integrated competence (cognitive mastery, affective dispositions, psychomotor skills) developed through the holistic assessment system directly contributed to favorable employment outcomes. Conclusion: A 40–30–30 assessment design explicitly linked to GLOs→CLOs effectively sustains performance across three domains and employability. GFE evaluation demonstrated apparent effectiveness and strong associations with both academic attainment and graduate outcomes. Recommendations include rubric standardization, assessor moderation, analytics dashboards, and longitudinal tracking.
