Abstract

PT Excelitas is a company located in the batamindo area that produces light detectors or often called sensors. However, even though the excelitas company has made efforts to run an adequate work area, there are still work areas that need to be improved, such as the epoxy mixing cabinet work area, which has no shelves to tidy up tools and machines and no safety cover on the machine so that operators who carry out the epoxy mixing process can be exposed to epoxy splashes, so that it can cause inconvenience to operators who carry out production activities in the area because they can be exposed to epoxy splashes during the epoxy mixing process. To determine the results of the redesign that will be applied, this study uses the NIDA method, namely Need, determining the needs of the epoxy mixing cabinet, idea, idea to solve the problem of the epoxy mixing cabinet, decision to make a decision on the design of the epoxy mixing cabinet, and action, namely making a prototype design of the epoxy mixing cabinet by redesigning the safety cover and storage rack of the epoxy mixing cabinet. With the redesign of the safety cover on the epoxy mixing machine, operators who operate epoxy mixing are no longer exposed to epoxy splashes that come out during the epoxy mixing process and storage shelves that function to store tools during the epoxy mixing process.

Abstract

This study explores the adaptive behavior of the people of Pekalongan in addressing the increasing waste problem within their urban environment. The research aims to investigate the level of public awareness and readiness to manage waste sustainably. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the study employed observations, interviews, and document analysis as data collection techniques. Results reveal a significant gap between awareness and action. While many residents understand the environmental and health impacts of unmanaged waste and express support for waste management initiatives, actual practices such as littering and burning waste remain prevalent. Infrastructure inadequacies and lack of consistent government enforcement contribute to this gap. Community organizations and environmental NGOs have initiated efforts like waste banks and door-to-door education, yet their reach remains limited. The study concludes that an integrated, collaborative approach involving the government, civil society, and local communities is essential to build a sustainable and participatory waste management system rooted in local values. This research contributes to the development of strategies that empower communities as active agents of environmental change.

Abstract

The 21st century brings many new challenges and opportunities, mainly driven by technological advancements, globalization, and a rapidly changing workforce landscape. The main goal of education is no longer academic success but also equipping students with skills called 21st century skills. The 21st century skills needed to solve complex 21st century problems such as net zero challenges. Net zero aims to achieve carbon neutrality by balancing greenhouse gas emissions and removal from the atmosphere. The research aims to develop, implement, and analyze the effects of project based learning (PjBL)-science, technology, enggineering, and mathemathics (STEM) learning on students' 21st century skills to address the net zero challenge. The research also examined how students respond to renewable energy learning using the PjBL-STEM model through a solar-powered tractor project supported by the 4D frame. This study used a conversion mixed methods approach to transform qualitative data into quantitative data using established rubrics. The results showed that PjBL-STEM learning associated with environmental issues enhances students' 21st century skills and significantly affects the teaching of students' critical thinking. Meanwhile, students showed good performance in communication, collaboration, and creativity skills through discussion activities, teamwork, presentations, and engineering desain process

Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 4.0 and the Society 5.0 Era have provided convenience and challenges to the education system. Through the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program, transformation efforts are made to produce graduates who have the character profile of Pancasila students who are globally competitive. However, the results of the pre-survey on the mathematics learning media course revealed several problems, such as the low character profile of Pancasila students in critical, creative, independent, and mutual cooperation reasoning, as well as the quality of the use of learning technology that is not optimal. To overcome this problem, a learning innovation study was conducted on the mathematics learning media course with the aim of developing a valid and practical project-based hybrid learning system design. This research is a research and development (R&D) involving students and lecturers of the mathematics education study program at Muhammadiyah Metro University. The research stages include curriculum analysis, hybrid design prototype design, expert assessment, and implementation of hybrid design in learning. The results of the study showed that the hybrid learning design developed was very valid with an average score of 81.67% and very practical with an average score of 85.5%. This design combines face-to-face classroom methods, synchronous and asynchronous virtual collaboration, and self-paced learning. This design can be applied to other courses with adjustments to learning objectives, activity strategies, and available time.

Abstract

In the face of growing competition in the culinary sector, micro and small enterprises (MSEs) in developing countries face a dual imperative: digital transformation and market competitiveness. This study explores how digital marketing strategies can enhance the market performance of rural culinary MSEs, with a focused case study on Mr. Leman's Goat Satay stall in Central Java, Indonesia. Adopting a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through direct observations, semi-structured interviews, and documentation of digital activities. The findings reveal that while social media platforms—such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok—serve as effective tools for market expansion and consumer engagement, major constraints include limited digital literacy, inconsistent content management, and a lack of financial capital for sustained promotion. Despite these barriers, the presence of value-based communication, customer-centered content, and ethical marketing practices contributes significantly to brand loyalty and business resilience. This research contributes to the discourse on digital entrepreneurship by contextualizing digital strategy within Islamic ethical business frameworks, emphasizing the need for inclusive, adaptive, and socially responsible marketing approaches for rural MSEs.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have a strategic role in the national economy, especially in the high-demand convection sector. With the development of digital technology, many MSMEs utilize marketplaces such as Shopee to expand market reach. This study aims to analyze cost and profit management strategies in marketplace-based convection MSMEs, with a case study of MM Kidsstore Official, a children's clothing manufacturer operating on Shopee. The method used is a qualitative approach through observation and interviews with business owners. The results showed that cost management is still done manually and simply, only including recording raw materials and sales. Pricing is done intuitively without clear cost analysis and profit targets, resulting in inconsistent profitability. Utilizing the marketplace does increase sales, but it also increases costs such as advertising, commissions, and postage subsidies. If not managed properly, this can reduce business profits. The study recommends applying the full costing method and cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis for more systematic financial planning. The findings are expected to serve as a reference for MSMEs in developing adaptive and sustainable financial strategies in the digital era.

Abstract

The Financial Management of Baiturrahaman Mosque is currently managed by the Ta'mir Masjid, which then hands over its responsibility to the Mosque Treasurer. Each division can submit to the treasurer directly if there is a need, or each division can make purchases in advance before being claimed to the treasurer. However, this financial management system is considered less effective and not transparent. This training is important considering that so far the Ta'mir management has not recorded and compiled financial reports, even though transparent and accountable financial management is important in managing public funds. This training aims to enable Ta'mir mosques to make simple financial reports for monthly money management. The training uses lectures, tutorials, discussions, and evaluation methods to equip Ta'mir administrators with knowledge and skills regarding basic accounting, recording transactions, and making simple financial reports. The service was held at the Baiturrahman Mosque, Sidosari Village on May 22, 2024, at 15.30 WIB by 2 participants. The results of the training received positive responses from the participants, which showed that the participants understood the training material presented, followed by questions and answers about the problems of mosque financial management and solutions to the problems faced. This activity emphasizes the need for continuous education and assistance to foster good financial governance practices in religious institutions.
